Van der Valk Hotel Akersloot Review

Een fantastisch verblijf gehad. Sfeervol hotel, goede kamers, heerlijk eten. Het was top!

With children and grandchildren, 18 people delicious food, lots of choice and therefore something for everyone. Live Cooking is an ideal concept.

Operation can be (even) much better. Currently far below the Valk standard (based on the last 5 visits).

Good food for my father's birthday. We could use a large bufet where you could eat everything. From sushi to a hamburger from the wall, and from a carpatio to a bowl of custard. The choice was very large for an all you can eat concept. Perhaps a little too much choice because, for example, the large shrimp were particularly bad and I think they were thrown frozen on the grill and that is really the last thing to do with large shrimp. They were very dirty and also very vague in structure. It even made me a little sick and I wasn't the only one at our table. You could also notice as the evening progressed that the staff started to relax a bit and things were no longer refilled, so the choice quickly became less. The post-mix soft drink was also not entirely on taste but all in all we had a great evening. Very nice staff at the table and at the reception.

Booked the suite with pool, for this price there was not even a welcome drink / bottle ready for us. In the pool area and in the jacuzzi there were still hairs from the previous visitors. And in the plan in the sea pool area there are still some garlands. Outside on the terrace there was an overflowing ashtray with cigarettes and joints by the door, even!
Certainly for this price and that the hygiene was poor, there are nicer suites for rent!

Very large restaurant. Food is usually good. Good value for money. Occasionally the operation makes a mistake but this is then compensated in the costs.

Perfect, attractive lounge, bar. Good wine needs no wreath.

Been here alone in the parking lot. From the outside, the building looks neat and beautiful. There is more than enough parking space, could have been a bit greener.

We were left at the reception without the staff paying any attention to us.
(First impression) You can also speak German at every chip shop in Holland, but not here.
Breakfast and rooms are quite good

From my point of view a great transitional hotel, but not for several days.

Activities, such as sights in the area, non-existent. Amsterdam, Alkmaar and Eggmond can be easily reached by car.

I was very pleasantly surprised by my wife with a night with you. Perfect service, great food and breakfast. And thanks for the box of chocolates for my birthday !!!

Restaurant (breakfast buffet at least) and room were fine, but what a maze is the hotel. We were on the 2nd floor, so you think you're at a restaurant that way ... not so. Walk through, stairs or elevator to 1st floor, very long corridor looking for the next staircase / elevator ... so not one, but one further. Yes, now we can go to the 2nd floor and then come to our room after a long corridor. Good thing we are relatively young and have good mobility ....

Good hotel along the A9. As always spacious and comfortably set up.

Cozy lunch room with a nice menu. Fast and correct operation! The bouncer is great!

Fine, hotel, everything is well organized because of the corona.
The people who complain about breakfast what is this about? You can order a lot, you can just order it again.

Rooms are large and well equipped, great choice of food, I especially enjoyed breakfast. The restaurant can get busy in the evenings but there is always space to dine. Location is pretty good with Alkmaar close by and Amsterdam only a short drive.

Clean and tidy, friendly staff, good restaurant and nice bar, ample parking, large sunny terrace.

Hotel good, location along the A9 car is useful if you want to go to Alkmaar or Haarlem for example, no entertainment nearby.

A well cared for catering but for a brunch it is expensive on average 50'00 euros pp

Ridiculous. I pay 325 euros for a suite where I can only check in at 4 in the afternoon. At other Valk hotels this is at 2 am. Also nothing can be arranged with the reception for this.

Great hotel! Always stay here on my work trips to the Netherlands never disappointing. Great food, clean rooms. Exactly what you need.

Excellent service! For dinner a la carte it is possible to get your own salad, stewed pears, apple sauce and the like, like a buffet: super!

Neat hotel with very friendly employees. Nice base to go to Alkmaar on Saturday and the black market on Sunday.
There is plenty to do in the hotel. Fitness and swimming are one of them.
I will go back again for sure.

The wine tasted diluted with both merlot and savignon

Top! Enough space / place. Both business and private fun. Great food, great service and you are just really nice / pleasant. You can also sit outside outdoors.

A nice hotel in which dogs are welcome. The rooms are modern and big enough - enough parking spaces are available.

Enjoyed a wonderful overnight stay at this hotel. Very friendly staff and nice rooms. Unfortunately we did not have our swimwear with us because the hotel also has a swimming pool and sauna

Never eat here again !! After having eaten here twice I will not be back. The first time the mice ran across the table (outside) and the second time I had dinner here with my girlfriend. We agreed there and after that we both went on a crazy road. Both of us have become very sick from the hamburger and this has certainly lasted 4 days afterwards. After submitting a complaint we were told that it was not their food. This while my girlfriend and I only ate the same thing in the rest of van der Valk Akersloot that day. So it could only have been due to that. Who knows what happened to the hamburgers in advance ... Van der Valk has dismissed it as a lie! So very bad.

Eaten in the restaurant in the evening. Simple good food for a good price. Child friendly. Helpful, friendly service.

Fantastic good food with very friendly and attentive service. Everything was right. 9 out of 10 times when I come somewhere they forget the glass of wine that I always ask to serve at the same time as the menu. Not here. The vega salad with dressing is a must and almost a meal thanks van der Valk for me you are the Rolex among the Hotels a brand that you know is good!

Very nice vd Valk hotel. Great location. Respond very well to the entire corona event. Staff are very customer friendly. Nothing is too much.

Beautiful hotel with plenty of parking. Friendly bar, friendly service. Also fully enjoy the food, both inside or outside.

Everything is nice but very cold in rooms,and flours in bathrooms are very cold

2 nights in the beautiful ibiza suite of this hotel which I really enjoyed.

The first evening the sauna in our room turned out not to work properly.
When we reported this, we were immediately moved to another suite.
The next morning we also had the opportunity to move back to the Ibiza suite, where the sauna had since been repaired.
With a nice box of handmade bonbons and a nice bottle of wine as apologies.

Enjoyed nice lunch, friendly staff, nice decor. Too bad you cannot pin at the table. Parking is a bit chaotic, disabled parking spaces are occupied by company cars where, in my opinion, Van der Valk does not proactively harm anything. Too bad that there are people who are careful with their car and therefore antisocial parking, but yes, you can not blame Van der Valk, at most that the layout of the parking that works in the hand!

We meet regularly at the Van Der Valk Restaurant in Amersfoort on the A1. Always one of great service both at the desk and in the restaurant. Everywhere good hygiene, the toilets and sinks. Excellent restaurant, you can order what you want, from fish dishes, to meat or vegetarian. Very nice service. Furthermore, ample parking spaces, also wheelchair vriendelijk.Wij be loved back, for meetings or gatherings.

Been a long time ago and then I had an idea of past glory.

Now (January 2018) went back with some preconceptions, but had seen the rooms had an update.

I must honestly say that I am pleasantly surprised. Very nice and good room. All the comfort you could wish for.

Last time I found the pool the worst, but this one has also had an update and not just like that. My sincere compliments.

We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely return. I will also not hesitate to recommend "Akersloot", because it certainly deserved it.

Nice big hotel with many theme rooms, enjoyed it. Downside: a maze if you have to go to your room, breakfast in room can be better for that price.

Dinner a lot, quality mediocre, not fresh. Appetizer waiting took more than an hour. Stir-fry was more like a stew. From the 4 pers. found 1 pers. t eat tasty.

No matter how busy it is you are always cheerful and polite

Nice hotel with a great swimming pool and a well cared for buffet. The rooms are neat and the bed is great. You will not be bothered by the adjacent motorway. We like to go to Van der Valk Akkersloot.

We absolutely loved staying in this hotel. It's safe to say it was the nicest hotel we've ever stayed in. The spa and pool area is clean and the kids had a great time in the pool. The breakfast is very good with lots of choice. The rooms are huge and very clean. The staff are very friendly and took the time to converse in Dutch with my children as well as speak English to me. Free parking and free wifi.

Fine eaten, unfortunately terrace has no view of nature. Friendly staff (even when, without realizing it, I wanted to leave without payment.

Always good quality with very friendly staff. Standard is always high even though it's a massive venue

1 star is for the room. We were in the deluxe room, pretty simple, but a pity that there is no mirror in the room, for example. The second star is the breakfast. Again simple but plenty of choice. Unfortunately, the hot dishes are just cold under the heat lamp.
Service orientation is far below par. Don't think along, help is hard to find.

I had a pleasant staying at this van der Valk hotel. We had an eighth persons family suite with more than enough space for my 6 persons family. Nice detail is the bathroom where 3 people can take a shower at the same time and if you whish another person can take a bath. Food was good as well and as the price quality ratio is excellent, we will likely come back here.

We have used the current buffet on the first floor. That was not good. Lasagne was almost finished, and then you just leave the remainder under the warming lamp, that is no longer possible to eat, but they just as well leave it. And so on more things like that. Too bad it expected a lot more.

Remarkably good kitchen, as with most van der Valks.
