Fun family place. Food is way too expensive. If it was cheaper, it would be 5 stars.
Fun family place. Food is way too expensive. If it was cheaper, it would be 5 stars.
This is a good place for kids I don't get on ride I walk around
Made into a kids zone. Food is purchased at kiosks and with meal plans. If you go, don t expect the Valleyfair of 2-5 years ago.
Its a decent park...DO NOT REGISTER FOR ANY GIVEAWAYS!!! They hired a Sweeps Company which calls you 5-7 times a day from multiple locations from across the country to avoid being blocked. You also do not know if they are selling your info to other companies.
A great place for a fun outing with the family. There is truly something there for everyone!
Great family fun. Pack a picnic basket and enjoy the day
Really the only amusement park near the Twin Cities. It's a pretty decent place, they add new rides about one a year. It's kept clean, and rides are taken care of.
Went on the Wednesday before the fair. Short lines, good times.
Super busy day, tons of people here, but valley Fair isn't using all of the cars available on the rides so the lines are artificially long. Thunder canyon is closed. Kids working the rides clearly don't want to be here.
Super fun better than I could have ever imagined!!!!!!!!!!!!
The worst customer service ever. Road two rides and they shut down all the rides for a thunderstorm and what I'm suppose to wait around an hour for them to reopen and hope the rides dry out at 5 pm ? No rainchecks really. So that was money wasted.
I love valley fair, defiantly worth the price. My favorite ride is the Extreme swing
Lots of rides and fun. Be sure to go during a week day when lines are shorter. Bring a swimsuit, towel and sunglasses. Don't forget to try some dip and dots. Parking is always easy to find. Steel venom is the best ride to start off with. Don't be scared when it locks up and roars. It's all part of the ride.
Definitely more expensive than what they post on their website! The staff was not friendly at all, and not a huge variety of rides available for what you pay for!
$56 for a ticket when it was posted online for $36?! I asked the cashier about this and she said that this only applies to weekdays, and it said nothing on their website about this! I voiced my complaint to the cashier, who was not very helpful at all, and acted as though she didn't even care.
I could have went to Six Flags in Chicago for only $13 more, and they are far better than Valley Fair!!
Also, $10 for a beer? Give me a break!!
Word of advice to those who want to check this place out. Don't. It is a complete waste of money for what you get.
Very disappointed and will not return!!
I love this place, but it's aging. The prices are out of control, incredibly expensive food and drink. The lines were short, though, and I got to ride wild thing as much as I wanted.
Oh My Gosh, that place is soooo cool to go to. I love the water rides there. They have really cool shirts there. I love the assortment of jelly belly jelly beans
Dropped off kids, they had a great time. Also loved the meal plan!
Valley scare was amazing! Recomend going if you haven't yet.
Great rides, friendly staff, easy accessibility. Only problem was that parking costs extra along with the ticket cost.
Long lines and too expensive but they try, great rides.
This is hands down the best amusement park in the state of Minnesota!
Soak city is a decent waterpark that's included in the admission price. There are 6 new water slides that will for sure fulfill your adrenaline itch; including a pair (Breakers Plunge) that drop you 90ft and four others (Breakers Pipeline) where you begin your decent after the floor drops out from underneath you.
It's so overpriced. The concessions are ridiculous! $14 for 3 chicken strips, $18 subway footlongs. Yikes. It's excessive on top of the high entrance fee.
Great place. Price is fair. Lots of great rides and the water park is fun too.
Loved the corkscrew hold on tight,it s gonna be long ride
i was having a very very bad day and then i strolled into the dinostore and i saw the most majestic of products from across the room. my feet left the ground and i floated to the dinosaur tail. i put it on my body and i immediately fell in love with my new best friend. i will wear it forever. 10/10. thank you valley fair for uniting us.
After riding only two rides, all of the rides where shut down due to weather. Although I understand the situation, none of the staff were able to answer any of my questions. I even asked the people at the customer service, they didn't even know the rides were closed.
Terrible place. My wifes Mother that is a wheelchair, , can't walked, and go on any rides. She had to pay full price to enter Valley Fair. My wifes father that always take care of his wife had to pay full price. It' a rip off. All they care money !!!
Valley fair has been one of one of my favorites since I was a teen! Has definitely gotten a bit spendy but has upgraded so much over the last 30 years I still love going and now love going with my daughter and her friends
I went to valley fair and I go on my first ride, steel venom and after that my back hurt so much I could barely get up the next morning but the other rides are fun I went on the wild thing 5 times
Fun coasters but the food is expensive, so are tickets to get PLUS expensive to park. We even had discount tickets and it was still $100 for two people. Who can afford to take a family with those prices?
They dont allow costumes/ face paint and dont say anything about it until your through security. They just wasted my family's time and money. Not a place to go near Halloween.
We have season passes. They have paid for themselves over and over. We love it there as do our girls. The security is good and the people that work there seem to enjoy themselves as well. The fall when it becomes valley scare is fun also.
Really good has everything you could want at an amusement park
Great fun, be prepared to pay $18 parking which makes no sense on a open lot
Got season passes! Rode wild thing 18 times straight that day. Lines aren't to long
My boyfriend and I are multi-year Gold Pass holders and we love Valley Fair. We usually go during the summer a couple of times a week during the week so we can avoid the long lines and crowds. Let me be clear, we absolutely love Valley Fair and our time spent there during the week when it's slow.
Last night we decided to invite some friends for the adult night Hot-Dish and Hops. Pretty dismayed by the long lines, but we realize we've been spoiled by choosing such off-peak hours typically.
Here is where I have a major problem. There is no one to control people smoking in lines or line cutters. Line cutters are probably the worst of the bunch though. They jump over the railings and my friend got kicked in the ribs as someone tried to get over the railings. They push past you as if you waiting in line means nothing. They invite more and more of their friends so while it doesn't seem like a big deal, simple math tells you they just added some time to your already long wait.
I'm the non-confrontational type; however, there were multiple instances where someone in line was becoming visibly agitated and I was worried they were the confrontational type. At this point, nothing would be worse than to have a fight break out and while you're in line surrounded by waist high gates and people. Seems dangerous.
I will re-iterate; I love Valley Fair. I find a great amount of fun there. But I should only have an adrenaline rush on the rides, not when I'm waiting in line and it looks like I might get stuck between a fight with no escape.
Wish the hours were extended on the weekends more than they are.
Rides are always fun. Park is usually pretty clean.
I gave 5 stars cuz it's 1 of the few places I can go from morning till they close and kids be happy not including technology wise. Cost can get up there, but so does any fair. Soak city has something for everyone. Wait time this year has seemed very quick compared to other years.
The park is good, but for Valleyscare, half the advertised attractions require a "skeleton key" which as far as I can figure out, to get one you have to buy a combination fast pass/fright pass. They aren't real up front about how to get one.
Valleyfair is honestly one of the most fun and exciting places I have been in a long time! For a very reasonable price, there are water rides, roller coasters and games! There are many places to dine, relax and just have fun! Even though I have a fear of heights, there are many rides that are still super enjoyable and fun despite my fear! I will definitely be coming back in the near future!
Best place around for family fun! The park is well kept and staff always friendly. Our whole family lives this place. Season passes pay for themselves at 1.5 visits. It's the way to go!
It is a great family place full of excitement and entertainment. We get gold passes every year!
Daily ticket prices are horrible. Season pass is great way to go. Food prices are ridiculous plus teenage employees who don't know how to do their jobs. How do you tell your customers yes! We have mini donuts just to make them wait 45 minutes to say oops we don't have any batter...funnel cake stand how is it that their is 6 workers in the back but it takes 20-30 minutes to cook 1 funnel cake?
I've loved coming here since I was a child. Now I enjoy bringing my own children. They love it as well!
perfect place for spending time with family and friends. I have only visited once during my exchange student year and I loved it. it is the biggest amusement park that I visited in my life. I loved the roleercosters a lot!
If you can get past the long wait and actually fit in the rides, pretty fun
A great amusement park in the Superfun me and my friend had a great time
First off they have a VERY misleading advertisement. If you purchase the "Fright Lane with the Skeleton Key" it will say the Park ticket is included. It is not! My girlfriend and her family had purchases the Fright Lane, which said ticket was included for $91.89 for two people. We drove over an hour to get there and when we came into the office to redeem our somewhat recent purchase they gave us just our Keys and fright lane passes. They then asked when we wanted to purchase our park tickets and we told them we already did with the F.L. passes. They told us that was just to cut in lines faster and go to a separate room. So they had us buy 2 more tickets for $84 just to get into the park. We were very upset about that because MANY other families did the same as us and agreed that they never saw a print reading that tickets were not included. We the went into our first haunted house. Since we went with the fast pass we thought we could zip up to the attraction faster than the regular line. Little did we know that since we had a skeleton key and had to go to a separate room that had to be re-set up for every group that we would be waiting over an hour!!! We then got pissed enough to ask an employee who said we were waiting for the skeleton key room but we said we just wanted to go through the maze faster and we paid extra. They then rushed us to the front with another's 30-40 people that were also pissed. After that maze we then we're going to the front of the lines because others didn't know because the employees did not explain anything to anyone. The over all experience was not pleasant. We couldn't even ride rides because we had to wait in line for over 1.5 hours for a 1 min experience. The park is open only 6 hours at night.
Lots of fun rides (wet and dry) and games, lots to do, eat and drink fir all ages.
Expensive and the amount of rides has deminished through the years. They need to fix the serious bee problem at the soda stands!
Always a lot of fun! Definitely pricey for food and drinks.
This is an amazing place to do rides and met other people lile friends....
We finally got a season pass for the family- so worth it! They love going there and having a blast!!
Would have been 5 but a security guard broke my brand new phone at the entry check point
As a past employee, I must say that I enjoyed each tedious day. Regardless of the circumstance I found myself in, there were always buddies supporting me to the end. The rides are quite amusing and memorable if you choose to have the correct attitude. Valley fair also has the occasional VIP guest. I recall seeing Adrian Peterson one night after work. To put it simply, this is the place where you can find many friends and be happy even in the worst conditions.
I had 114 dollars in my pocket and to my disbelief it was all gone before I even entered the park. It costs $12 to park and if you are willing to spend an extra eight bucks more you get to park a little closer in the preferred parking locations. I had $10 off coupons and it still cost $102 dollars to enter with my daughter, her friend, and I. Of course there is the dinosaur park but that is $5 extra per person. I went to an Ice Cream store and they were selling waffle cones for $2.50. Thought it was a real bargain until I found out it was just for the cone, not the ice cream. If you love getting ripped off and don't care about your money you will love this place. If you value your money don't ever step foot into this park.
I had been with my friend here on Saturday by booking online ticket which costed me 41$ per head where as counter ticket is like 55$.
Book online .
Online car parking price was around 12$ but I neglected thinking I can park nearby which didn t possible for me. So I had to pay car parking fee of 17$ there in entrance.
Book parking online .
As soon as I got in, I saw huge crowd but it didn t take me more than 2-4mins to get my rides.
All dry rides are awesome. Very good. I go with 5/5. Don t miss them at all!
Water games are very less and more crowded. It took me 30 mins minimum for each water activity. Thts disappointed me. There are no good water rides except the middle one n which is scary after climbing up to take water ride. I go with 3/5.
U need a locker to keep your luggage s before getting into water and thts again expensive(15$).
It has got lot of eat n go stuffs. Tasty but little expensive.
It has got train inside which runs from south to north which is useless n track is completely outside of the valley fair which is not worth.
It has got many kids play activities which kids will for sure enjoy and It s fun to visit n worth for money except for water rides.
The Best place to go if you are in the higher up states
This a great place to spend a day, hope I will be able to come back to the Valley Fair next year.
Awesome way to spend hot days! Something for everyone.
Does not offer any refunds on accidental ticket purchases
Price is a little high for kids under 3 for what is available for them to do. A very nice facility is available for nursing/pumping mommas.
They gave us tickets for the wrong day and would not change the date I mean it's there fault anyway it's just a waist of money in would not recommend it
Valleyfair was great...its been forever. It was a wonderful and fun experience.
Go on a week day and the food pass is not worth it. Very little choice for what is out there.
First time, I been here and I like it very nice amusement park.
We love Valley Fair, we go often as Gold Pass holders and enjoy it each time. With that being said, the hiring has really gone down hill and makes the experience less enjoyable. We added the meal plan onto our passes and I am regretting it each time we go. It would take less time for us to walk back to our vehicle in the parking lot, eat a packed lunch from a cooler and walk back in than it would to get served at ANY food location the in the park. There are at any given time 4-6 employees standing around talking while one person gets food prepared and served. I am not sure if only one person per location is trained to prepare food, or if this is by choice Either way it should be addressed. Also, each time we go up to get our drinks (also added onto pass) or our food it looks like we are bother the employees. They look irritated to even have to help. We will be rethinking our add ons next year (Family of 5). Aside from the service aspect we absolutely love the park, and appreciate your ability and willingness to make it easy for a family who has a child with special needs to enjoy the park. At a place that already has long lines and a lot of people coming through it might be worth taking a look at why it takes 30-45 minutes to get food ordered and served. We still love it there, just may not spend as much money next year due to the food service this year.
Have gone here a bunch this summer. My kids love it.
Rides Are Not For Me But I Came With My Kids And We Had So Much Fun
The rides were great and the lines were short. They had a quiet clean place for for to nurse my youngest while the others run into more rides. Really is fun for the whole family. I wish there was more places to cool down, other than going to the water park, it was hot out there! It was also pricey to take the whole family, then purchase food and drinks while you're there.
