Went to splash city. The kids had fun. Wish there were more water slides. The wave pool gets to be like people soup as the day gets on.

Lots to do, short lines and the seasonal pass can be a great value.
Metal detectors, grossly over priced food, rides breaking down.
Good rides. Lines too long unless pay too much money for line-cutting passes. Those passes tick off everyone who has been standing in line for an hour!!
Been to Six Flags, Islands of Adventure, Disney World, Disney Land and Valley Fair by far is way better. Its not overly crowded and the lines arent hours long.
Good God...what is up with the prices on their food. Examples: $22.00 for a 16" cheese pizza. $3.31 for a small soft drink. Cheeseburger with fries, no drink, $9.73. What gives? We liked the park, but next time will leave the park to eat at a local restraunt then return.
Visited the for the water park, Soak City on a Sunday. Got there early and there were really short lines. There are a good amount of water slides and the lazy river is not too long and not too short! The lines did pick up around 1 so get there early. Valley Fair is also a great place for Pokemon Go. Lots of stops and gyms!
October 27 not a good day at Valley fair
I have been a gold pass member for the past few years and it works for us. But not all of our family has the pass so we had to buy some day passes for Saturday to enjoy Valley Scare we were mostly interested in the daytime events which were not there. I spent 150 bucks for very little entertainment. This is unacceptable, there were hardly any small children rides open, and trying to keep up with the time slots what a pain. Drink stations were not very widespread, dinos not open, activities were very limited. Not a good value and very very disappointing. I feel I should be refunded for this experience because there was no experience. I understand that at this time of the year your staff shrinks but that doesn't mean your standards should shrink as well. The cost should be discounted to reflect the lack of experience. Understandably the evening experience is probably worth it but not all want that.
Very clean,so many rides, friendly staff, not very crowded today. Lots of restrooms. We had a great time!Prices for water drinks were terribly expensive.
Highly recommend the gold season pass and done on option of you will visit at least 4x. Gets you admission, parking, food 2x with 4 hour time difference. Includes dinosaurs, valleyscare at camp spooky. Lockers aren't included and are $15 for small (one bag) $20 for large(2 bags) Waterpark is my personal favorite but Rollercoasters are great too!!! Bring buy spray during summer nights and sunscreen for daytime. Also ... bring ziploc bags for phones and cards! And last ... have fun and take pictures
We had an amazing day at Valleyfair. We were there to celebrate our eldest son's 21st birthday. It was a saturday and there was alot of people there. The lines were long but they moved relatively quickly. The staff does an excellent job of making the time in line seem unimportant. Thank you Valleyfair for another outstanding day out with the family.
Valley Scare was good. Lots of security on site due to recent fights but didn t feel overwhelmed or nervous.
Not nearly as fun as it used to be. Lines are long for any of the thrill rides and the only way to get more than 5 rides is to purchase a Fast Pass for an additional fee. Food and beverages are very overpriced and portions are generally small and food is not of high quality.
We had a blast as always!!!! I think the price is a little steep because you average 2 to 3 rides an hour because of the wait times. But that is so part of the experience
They got some rides that'll knock your socks off. Always a great time just be prepared to spend a little money.
If you go on a weekday, the lines will be almost non-existent, especially if it's overcast and bad weather is in the forecast. Before you do anything, GET A PARK MAP. The park has a lot of dead ends, hidden rides, and places where a path across would logically make sense, but doesn't exist. The only roller coasters worth taking note of are Renegade, Steel Venom, and of course Wild Thing. The other coasters are not very unique, but still fun to ride. They do have lots of kiddie rides, almost all of which are relegated to the Planet Snoopy area near High Roller. Before going on Thunder Canyon or The Wave, make sure there's someone off-ride to hold everyone's electronics, because you WILL get soaked!
In regards to other entertainment, there is karaoke, games of chance, an arcade, and Peanuts-themed shows for the kiddos, as well as the Dinosaurs Alive exhibit. I would recommend eating before coming to the park, since the majority of the food options are greasy, overpriced snacks that are typical of so many chain theme parks.
Finally, the staff were, for the most part, friendly and enthusiastic. A few seemed robotic, but none came across as rude. A lot of them were sitting around conversing with each other, but I didn't blame them given how quiet the park was the day we went.
If you have younger children, I would recommend Nickelodeon Universe. If you're a hot-blooded adrenaline junkie, go to Six Flags Great America. If you're just a normal family looking for a way to spend a summer day in the Twin Cities area, go to Valleyfair!
Great variety of rides. Lines are a bit long but to be expected
I went with my school, and despite several schools being there it was pretty empty for a Monday. Generally speaking the rides we're enjoyable and the food was good, but I would pack a lunch and a large water bottle if you want to save a lot of money.
really nice places to enjoy with the whole entire family. you can find a little bit of everything here. different types of food. Fun for little kids Adults and young people... I definitely recommend this place
Great time! Lots of fun and laughs! Lines were not terrible. Would recommend to anyone looking for a get a way
Valley Fair is a fun place to be. It's a good place to bring a family. I do have a daughter who has celiac and they do have a gluten free chicken strip and fry basket. My reason for the four stars is the price of the food and beverages, $17 dollars for the chicken strip basket and a bottle of water to me is over priced.
I took my son for his 15th birthday, along with his best friend. He had never been on a roller coaster before, so we decided to try all of them. As we arrived after 4:00, we hurried through the park to make sure we fit all of the coasters in before closing time, which we did. About 15 minutes before the park closed, my son decided he wanted to ride Wild Thing as his last ride. We made it with just minutes left, and made sure to pose for the camera during the ride so I could buy a photo. However, as soon as we started walking to the photo booth, the worker shut it down. It was still open when we looked at it while we were on the ride. Why did he shut it down when there were still 2 more groups behind us? I made a remark to him while he was shutting the window, saying I was disappointed that he didn't want to wait to take my money for a photo. He ignored me. That's the reason I only rated 4 stars. Otherwise, the trip to the park was great.
the park itself was a fun environment except that a few rides stopped working, but the coasters diner?? a disaster. it took over an hour to even order, and the line wasn t very long. the food was made and ready for customers, yet was sitting under the heat light for 10 minutes. there is no organization and/or management. i was highly disappointed, i ve had better experiences in the past that don t even compare.
Always a fun filled day! We enjoy our season passes every year. Pro tip: buy the all season drink bottle. If you go more than one time it pays for itself.
Took my daughter for the first time and had a blast!!! Sad they moved the lunch area but....
The 3rd degree a person goes thru to purchase a beer is overkill. Other than that...it was a great night of food and fun!
It was such a thrilling sensation, always hold on tight!, Wild things or Steele venom are the best ones
Very bad customer service that ever had to experience yesterday
Poorly ,Bad behavior , very rude
I have four season passes for my children.......
Need to work on there customers skills
The premiere amusement park in Minnesota, Valleyfair is loads of fun. All the roller coasters are well worth the steep admission price. Beware, the food and beverages inside are pretty expensive, but that's where they make the money. Pro tip: Go after 4pm (Starlite) for a nifty discount on admission.
It is a lot of fun. Definitely a place to stay for a whole day.
It is a little expensive unless you get the Gold season pass (which basically pays for itself in 2 visits and you get little discounts on food, so I recommend locals get it.)
Good place, however ValleyScare in general needs to be monitor BETTER. During Haunt night there's TOO many obnoxious people and teens running around and vandalizing, if not taunting or messing with others. Security there need to be alert and mindful of these situations. One great advice is to have security station in each haunt site at open, if not a manager. I feel that this place needs to be more strict on teens and ignorant people. The only reason for me saying this too is because, I have came to altercation with teens there. Their parents aren't watching them and that too needs to be advise. Aside from all these issue, which one happened last weekend on first Haunt, the attraction is great and can be enjoyable if monitor correctly. Other cons are price and rides. Price seems to be going up each year and they do not discount that good. They do need better rollercoaster for adults, the ones now are becoming too repetitive and boring. When I mean rollercoaster too, I mean one similar if not better than the Wild Thing.
Really great fun if you just want to get out of the house
Ignore the people complaining about food, no one that lives in Minnesota comes here for the food. The rides are amazing, employees are fun and friendly, and valleyscare is cheap for the rides, scares, and multiple haunted houses. We come twice a year, every year.
When I waited 2 hours to go on the wild thing the ride stops as soon as I get out of the line the ride starts moving
My family was there yesterday, the 4th of July! The boast a great fireworks display. I have to say that we were pretty disappointed with the fireworks that lasted less than 10 minutes. Especially since it was the 4th of July and they boasted about the spectacular fireworks display.
The parking lot when we left was a HOT mess!!! There was no organization AT ALL and we spent 40 minutes trying to get out of the parking lot. Finally some police cars came to "direct" traffic. I can't even explain the mess it was trying to get out of there last night.
On a positive note - during the day, the park wasn't busy at all. We were able to get on most rides very shortly after we got into line! That was the best part of yesterday. But had I known the disappointment the fireworks were going to be, we sure would have stayed closer to home and spent way less money.
I had the best time here! the rides were a great time and the day I went the lines were not that long. The food and drinks are crazy overpriced so if possible eat before and leave snacks and other goodies in the car. Other than that it was great and I will be going again.
Love this place my fifth times here. Still enjoy
ed it.
I haven't been to that many amusement parks to be able to compare to this one, but my sister and I have both lived in the Twin Cities our whole lives, grew up going to this park regularly, and we still go every year.
All they have to do is put in a zip line and my world of thrill will be complete.
If you have kids the season passes are awesome. We go whenever we want, don't have to pay for parking and don't feel pressured to try to fit everything into the one day.
The Tilt a Whirl at Valley Fair is called the Tilter. I never understood why until last night when I was caught in an awkward perfect storm of tilting. Every car faced in and we all looked around to see if it was just us, nope it was everyone. At first it was confusing and people struggled to whirl, but it was all in vain. Then we all just kind of gave up and looked at each other awkwardly tilting as the ride kept going and going. Tilt a Whirl? More like Tilt a Screw, because you just got tilted and screwed!
I had to show my ID and wristband 14 times to get 5 beers. If they are going to card then stop with the wristbands... The park closed down all the rides @ 530 for the rest of the evening due to weather and doesnt issue rain check discounts. The Chickie's and Pete's POS systems and very hard to navigate not intuitive and a true POS... I don't reommend going to Chickie's and Pete's while there. Especially if all you want is to get out of the rain and have a hassle free beer. It was very stressful and the staff was rude.
Great place for fun. My kids enjoy almost all the rides. Will be going again
Fun and amazing place to go some of the rides closed to early
It was so fun everything was open and all of the people there are so nice they help have a good time so I say you should go have fun and bring the family and friends.
If I could give 100 stars I would. I love it! It's SO much fun and has great rides for everyone. It is a must go!
Awesome place for rides and food . Long waits though
Very fun and entertaining place to go. On a nice and warm day you can easily spend hours there. Down falls... If it's busy, there are long waits for rides and food. Additionally, prices are severely inflated.
Valley fair is always fun! My friends and I had an absolute blast.
Love this place. It's huge. The thrill rides are excellent. The water park is fun and relaxing. The staff are friendly. We came to the park for our first time and my son was picked to open the park. We had our picture taken with Snoopy and they gave us free dipping dots!
Definitely worth the money. Always have a great time at valleyfair. Water rides great food and rollercoasters!! Time of your life
It says on their website that you can save $6 if you purchase your tickets in advance online. Then right before you place your order they add a $6 online ordering fee. How deceitful is that?...
Then they want $17 for parking? I don't even pay that for a Twins game and that's downtown Minneapolis.
Such a fun place to spend with family!! Love the waterpark too!!
Entry is to expensive for a family to enjoy. Food and games are extra. By the time you get out you well have spent way over $100. Ouch! Also long wait times for rides. Sorry but I call it like I see it.
One of the cutest, cleanest, well-kept parks I've been to. The rides aren't anything crazy but are still tons of fun. The park does a great job on their decorating and design. Tons of colorful rides and lights. There's an awesome kids area, tons of stuff for adults as well, and everything in between that everyone can enjoy. High Roller is a timeless classic for families to ride together, Wild Thing is a great thrill ride if you like heights and thrills, and Renegade is the best coaster in the park.
It has been awhile since I was here, but nothing seems to have changed much. Maybe a couple more smaller rides. Had my first experience on Renegade and that's an amazing coaster!
Had a really good bucket of fries at the sports bar too. $25 for a huge bucket that fed my family of five went over really well. The Park itself is pretty clean and well maintained.
Some of the staff seemed lackadaisical but that's what you get when you hire young adults I guess. Also parking costs extra at $17 so beware!
I had never been to Valleyscare but it was a lot of fun to go through all the mazes and haunted houses. I felt a little old, but it was still a lot of fun.
As I was blissfully relaxing in the Breakers Bay pool, I was interrupted by the sound of alarms. I had little to no time to react to the warning and the waves had already started coming. I floated towards the deep end as I was attempting to escape my predicament unscathed. Waves after waves of chlorine-piss filled water came over me. As I fighting to stay afloat on the surface, horror-filled kids on inflatable tubes assaulted me. Jab from the back, hook from the left and then OHHH... an upper cut to the chin. I could not live through this traumatizing horror and so I gave up. As I nearly drowned to oblivion I had a flashback. I had remembered that if I lived, I could visit this horrid place again... for FREE. And so, I, the young brave hero that I am KO'd every single kid in my way. I was not gonna let this free visit go to waste. Fate has had it and allowed me to live through again. No foreigner, nor young adventure can survive this white-middle class theme park. 10/10. Would nearly drown again.
I was so excited to see that its a water park and theme park!
Fun for all ages! The rides are great for little and adults!
Amazing place. You can have so much fun there. There are a lot of rides and amazing dinosaurs area.
"If you wanna wait in line for a couple of hours, for a few seconds of fun....then go here" -Papa John
The rides are fun and the games are just as well. Call me a monster though when you talk about over priced! If you feel like staying a while please do yourself a favor and eat out before or after. Your wallet will thank you.
Gotta love the roller coasters: High Roller, Corkscrew, Excalibur, Wild Thing, Mad Mouse, Steel Venom, and Renegade!
I had so much fun! Me and all my friends went together and we had a blast, though the food is overly expensive and rides kept being shut down it was still super fun! And we got to experience valleyscare for the first time too! It was super scary!
Several criticisms, the Lazy River at Soak City is ridiculous, there are teenagers and kids constantly causing trouble and clearly breaking the rules making it unenjoyable for everyone but the lifeguards never do anything about it, also the bathrooms are disgusting they should be checked more, the rides however are super fun and the employees are always good at monitoring everything
