The most disgusting people. So rude, unwilling to even let you talk when you are trying to pay off your debt. Christine, Debbie, and Shae talk down to you, hang up in your face, and LIE about sending you proper paperwork. If you have to work with them, get an attorney.

Finally received an invoice for a bill that had been placed in collections 5 days before a surgery. I explained that I would be in recovery for a minimum of 6-8 weeks, but I'd do my best to get it taken care of with the information they provided me.
I was able to resolved the problem that afternoon (10/23)- I contacted them again and explained that the bill was in the wrong name and being sent to an address I didn't live at, which is why I never received any previous invoices- and waited to receive acknowledgement of the payment and what, if anything, I might owe.
Instead, they filed papers for the full amount, plus their "collection fee" on the very same day that my insurance company PAID it off (11/20). I'm assuming it's because of the aforementioned fee.
They are refusing to send me an updated invoice and are instead claiming that I now owe over a thousand dollars- without being willing to provide proof.

Called in three different times now on two different days, to try and pay off a medical collection account. I first started that I called in to take care of a debt on each call. Every time I was unsuccessful. These ladies are rude and argumentative Second time I called in I asked to speak to a manager, and the manager talked down to me rudely about owing money and hung up on me. Because they didn't have proof of one account already being paid off, they refused to take the 500 dollar payment on my other medical bill. Completely rediculous, but to hang up on me? To be rude to me?

I'm not sure what all of the fuss is about. I noticed collections on my credit score report so I called the company. Spoke to a very nice lady and she negotiated with me as far as payment plans to pay off my debt. Maybe I got lucky but it seems like a very good company to deal with. Or maybe it was because I was actively trying to pay my responsibilities off...

They are very hard to work with... I was unaware I even had a debt with them as they didn t let me know at all, I discovered it on my credit report. I called and payed it in full. I requested a statement showing I d paid in full and they said they would... but they didn t and they refuse to now. They also will not update my credit file showing it as being paid... they continue to renew saying my highest balance is still outstanding.
It s paid, there is no need for them to continue being like this. They are determined not to be accurate in their reporting and want to do as much damage as possible, even post debt. I get that the bad mark will be on my credit, but why not update it as being paid at least?

I would just like to give a shout out to Shiela, who has been helping me through the process of a misunderstood medical bill that got sent to collections. She has been very personable and reasonable. I haven't had to deal with this kind of situation before, but I imagine it would be much more stressful if the representative was not as respectful and helpful as Sheila has been.

Actually they don't even deserve a one star. Sheila, was very rude and demanding unwilling to except my payments and just wanted to garnish our check, I told her if our check got garnished for $842 we'd loose our house. She said it wasn't her problem. Very rude and unwilling to work with us, even though we were willing to pay a monthly payment of $200

A woman called my husband this morning about a debt of his ex wife's from after their divorce over 10 years ago (2005). When he explained that they were divorced at the time and any of her medical debt from before their divorce was clearly to be taken care of by her per the divorce decree, she LAUGED and said that they don't have to go by divorce papers. She was beyond rude and tried making him feel like a bad guy because his ex didn't pay HER debt. What a bunch of low life's. Had she been cooperative, he was trying to explain that if he could get copies of this paperwork, he would get the money from her.

If I could rate this lower, I would. Not because I'm having to pay a debt, but because these folks are very rude. Not willing to reduce and take my original balance because my motive is to fix my credit. So, they're sticking to the interest rate balance. Wouldn't even give me a number to their District Manager. HIGHLY DISSATISFIED by their unprofessionalism.

I had been getting hang up calls for a while, I would get a call and say hello several time before someone would hang up. I did not know who it was. Then my daughter was serviced the papers intended for me. The calls suddenly stopped. I paid the court and filed for medication. I received no phone calls from them to my knowledge and no letters. They told the court that they sent me four letters from 2014 to 2017, however, I never seen any. She also stated that she contacted my employer, LOL turns out that my employer was my small hobby business and the person they talked to was my daughter, but said she did not know who was calling just a strange person. I got the interest dropped in court and all future interest. She was pissed and on the way out of the courtroom busted though the door and it closed in my face. The first thing I told the mediator was I called all the creditors and they were my bills. I had the Obama care during the MODA bailout and did not know that they said they would pay the Doctors, but they did not they just told the doctors my deductable as 7500.00 for each person. Basically I paid for the federal insurance that paid nothing and a bill racked up behind the OZ curtain. I also told the mediator had she called me and spoke to me I would have made arrangements to pay the bill.

This review has nothing to do with owing a debt. I contacted THEM to pay off my "debt". First lady was extremely snobish as if I was supposed to already know my options for solutions. Conversation ended. Called back to get a different agent. What a mistake clearly the two "Karens" had already talked with eachother I was given one option with no full pay off reduction which is insane considering it went up a random 600$ from what I have on paperwork with no explanation. This place is horrible service and maybe the workers should think about different jobs, they seem old and burned out. Menapause?

Negative stars if I could! Shae and Debbie are extremely rude and have very poor customer service skills. I didnt even know I had a debt with them so I tried to call and dispute it as there are many holes in their claim. Shae told me I could not dispute it and refused to send me to a manager and then promptly HUNG UP ON ME. I called back and spoke with "manager" Debbie who talked to me like I was 2 years old and would not listen to a word i said. I understand this is a collections company and all they want is money, but they could at least talk to people with respect. After reading previous reviews, I am nervous to even pay it if they are just going to tell me they have no record of my payment? If you call this company, be prepared to not get anywhere :/

I am in the wrong for not handling my debt in timely manner, but this company has been the worst to deal with. They have not communicated in a timely manner and lied about where they were in the collection process. Very low morals.

Threatening, rude, incompetent! Any business who "sells" them business should be ashamed! The story changes with the day, when you don't back down to the threats and the "I can talk louder than you" tactics they slip one more threat in and hang. Shameful!

They are all extremely rude & lie. I made a payment arrangements that they took the money out of my account every week on my pay days & that wasn t good enough so they garnished my wages & every 90 days they renew the garnishment making the amount due sky rocket higher than what they take out in a 90 day period. They won t give a settlement offer & don t care that I m a single mom with 2 children who is in this mess because of a dead beat ex. Not once have they ever been nice just mean & cruel every time I speak to them. Debbie had the nerve to tell me make better choices in my men & if I didn t have money to pay them I should have never gotten another vehicle. I needed a car for my kids & to get to work since there is zero public transportation working 8 miles of my house. These people are scum & low life s. They don t care that you try to do the right thing.

Debbie Thompson is the worst person I have dealt with. I even called back to file a complaint and spoke with a Shelby who did nothing about the way I was treated. I made a 500 dollar payment and then Debbie Thompson proceeded to harass me about another debt for 200. I was threatened, disrespected, and lectured about my debts which they do not know my financial situation and are not qualified to be lecturing customers about their debts.

They state on their website that they are NOT a debt collection agency.... Yet the letter I have from them says that they are a debt collection agency on their first sentence.... Am I getting scammed????

I contacted them with first before they reached out to me. I made a pretty big payment on some debt I had with them, I called them back to make arrangements to pay the remaining balance and Shelia was extremely rude, unprofessional and in considerate. I would think debt collectors would like to get as much money as the possibly canithout have to always sell the debt to another agency.

Called to make this month payment and they said that they had not received last month's payment which I mailed via money order. They did not bother to call and let me know that they had not received it even after I called to tell them that I had mailed it out. Now they will not allow me to make this month's payment or a payment today because they had not received the last month's payment how is that better business practices?

So I looked on CreditKarma saw that these people were on it from something over 5 years ago. They say they called 15 times ( to a number that had been disconnected because we had moved.) and sent a letter to our now address to which we never received.

I have to say absolutely without a doubt this has been the best company and most amazing company and kind hearted lady I have ever had to deal with. My experience has been nothing but an angel sent from a higher power. I felt my life was crumbling when I received garnishment papers, and I was so scared and terrified of losing everything including the roof over my head. Debbie gave me reassurance and we worked out Payment plans and she has just gone above and beyond to work with me. I highly recommend Valley Credit Service above all others.

Awful, corrupt, crooked company that is very dishonest. I had some medical bills go to collections to them over 10 years ago. Through payments and garnishment I paid them about 6 years ago. The lady with the smokers voice that's always coughing is extremely rude and dishonest. Over the phone she told me my balance was zero, paid in full and they'd mail me a receipt. Never got the receipt but forgot about it figuring, why wouldn't they tell me if I still owed them money? Well, here I am 10 years later and just got served legal papers that a law firm is suing me on behalf of Valley Credit Service. The supposed $1,200 bill has now grown to over $4,000 with interest and fees. These people are the scum of the earth that pick on honest folks that may have fallen on hard times but still paid their debt.

Worst experience I have ever had. I spoke to Debby and explained that I was not in a position to pay any debt right now since I am helping out some family financially who have not been able to work due to them being high risk in this pandemic. I said do you have to enter a judgement against me right now? Can t it be later after all this ? Is there any grace? She told me I should see if I can put this debt on my relatives CREDIT CARD! Unbelievable! She also told me that if they made an exception for me they had to do it for everyone. The Calls are recorded I hope so anyone can pull the call to verify this. I asked to be escalated to the manager Christina I believe and she was worse! I was trying to get more understanding since Debby was unhelpful, so I was asking clarifying questions... she said if you pay to today it s this amount, if you pay it tomorrow it s the same amount. In the rudest tone and then I called her out on it. As someone who works in a professional environment and am held to a high level of integrity, I was appalled by this treatment. I may need to talk to the better business bureau to investigate them. If you find yourself having to deal with this company, keep a stress ball near by!! Good luck.

Very heartless company .. but when they tried to pull money from my account they got a whole 1.48 I thought it was funny like they thought they really had me lol then they tried again and got nothing lol even better .. I paid them off finely.. wish to never hear from them again

Most horrible customer service ever! Spoke to Shelby, who swears she's a manager for the company. She's extremely rude and condescending. I cannot believe that the company would allow someone with her attitude to assist anyone. I tried to call and inquire on how to handle my account and she answers questions with questions! I asked to speak to someone else and she said that she would not transfer my call to anyone. I asked who to file a formal complaint with and she said her! Can you imagine?!!! RIDICULOUS!

Several years ago I was hit by a car and had some major medical bills afterwards. Also due to the fact that I could not use my legs for four months I was not able to work and debt accrued. I have been paying off bills since I have been able to walk. This company seized all my funds out of my account to pay off a hospital bill during this crucial time in my life. Taking my stimulus check and funds to live on while I have been laid off of my job due to the pandemic. I had to fax them two different e-statements from my account proving that $1200 of my funds were from the stimulus check, but they still kept the money. Although staff was courteous in their manner, their empathy lacks. I told them that I would be glad to set up a payment plan with them, and this was denied. They simply took all my money and now I have to find a way to make it.

I paid the bill twice, directly to the debtor and have the proof. I refused to pay this bill a third time. This company refused to remove this debt from my credit, it is the ONLY debt I have on my credit because I pay ALL my bills! Then, they sent this to small claims and added collection fees, filing fee, and service fee, bringing this bill to a whopping $167.64!!! This is complete robbery!! Now, I have not choice but to pay this AGAIN! People...do NOT ride in an ambulance in McMinnville, OR, $317.64 and dealing with these jerks, take a chance and drive yourself.

I agree with others the staff are some of the most unprofessional staff I've ever had to deal with. I have tried to reach out to them on multiple occasions due to a a garnishment that I have now paid on twice. The company that they are collecting for has already told me that I have a zero balance. Everytime I contact them about this issue I am treated like garbage. I have also not once received any information on any type of garnishment both times it was sent directly to my employer and I believe federal law says they're supposed to provide you with the information on any type of garnishment. Their unwillingness 2 fix this issue leads me to believe there is some sort of fraudulent activity going on with Valley Credit and they're garnishments. I have sent an email with my concerns and a request for them to provide me with all garnishment information we'll see how it goes.

Shelby has to be the nastiest person to deal with. I called to pay my bill and she immediately cut my off and was incredibly disrespectful.. This company should be shut down for treatinh people the way Shelby is being allowed to.

Horrible customer service. I had an account sent to collections because my ex-husband refused to pay his half of my daughter's ER bill. I called to set up payment arrangements on a balance just under $600. I could pay $100 a month possibly more but wanted to make payments of $100. Was told that wasn't enough and I had to pay $190 a month. I went into the online pay system and it said minimum payment was $100 so I though hey cool that is what I wanted it must have been set at that minimum and I could pay more if possible. After making 3 payments I get a letter that says I didn't make the payment amount that I had arranged over the phone and unless I paid the remaining in 10 days they were filing with the court. I'll find a way to pay it - on the last day possible to make them do the prep work to file in court and then not.

ALSO I am the business manager and we have this agency set as our collection agency... I just prepped 17 files for collections with just over $30k in interest accruing collections.... I will be taking our business elsewhere.

I hope that getting your $286 a month sooner was worth the loss of business. You may want to do some new training with your "pitbull" reps... Her attitude just lost you potentially $9000+ in fees.

I saw a debt on my credit report, so I called to set up a payment plan. The lady was extremely rude the entire process despite the fact I was not getting upset about the amount owed and the fact that I had called in myself. I then asked to be transferred to her supervisor, Christie. She was even worse than the first woman. She assumed that I had been throwing a fit about my debt, which I had not been. This company has zero respect towards people actually trying to take care of their debts.

I sent in my payment to the original creditor & they cashed the check. They had turned my account over to this credit service. The check was cashed by the original creditor. Now Valley Credit claims I owe more money. I will be contacting the original creditor for a copy of my statements. Also I will be contacting Valley Credit for itemized charges. I want to try & find out how a charge of over 50% more is showing. At this time Valley Credit Service seems very shady to me.
