very rude and disrespectful right off the bat of me just answering the phone and confirming my identity. when trying to explain my situation of why I could not pay the full amount, she began yelling at me saying I was making excuses and I was not able to make some kind of payment plan because the woman was so disrespectful interrupting me when I tried to speak causing me to have to hang up because was not going to stop being rude for no reason. she was speaking in a bully type manner and is very manipulative. the woman insulted my intelligence in an attempt to humiliate me, any person working in customer service should have a better respect for the people they are serving and act more mature and competent.

Asking"is he to disabled to speak?" when I told her he could not speak to her right now. The rep basically stated that due to the fact I have income and i am now refusing to pay the payments she is going to move forward with garnishing my wages. Midwest Service Bureau is terrible. They use bullying and manipulation to try to collect debts. They are also not above calling your family as an attempt to publicly humiliate and embarrass you to get you to pay in full.
Today they called my mother. They were trying to get her to give me a message. This immediately after they called my phone and I didn't answer because I was at work. They didn't leave me a voicemail either. I had spoken to them a couple weeks ago and they threatened to call my family members, which I expressly told them they did not have My consent to do. They have my address and phone number they know how to reach me. Debt collectors can only call family if they are attempting to locate the individual who owns the debt. They already know where I am and how to contact me directly.
Adrian was very condescending and flip flopped her answers to my questions several times when I called to address the issue. First she denied the company contacted my mother. When I said I had proof she fessed up and said they wouldn't contact my family again then later said they would do what they have to do to collect the debt because I'm being uncooperative. Then when I addressed the debt she said there is now not one but two bills I owe. One I do owe and plan to pay this week. The other I absolutely do not owe and refused to pay. I even said I would pay the one bill. But because I refused the other she was not interested. Only interested on collecting the "full" amount.
I saved up money and even borrowed money to get this bill resolved after I confirmed it was owed with the original service provider. It was billed as a separate service and I never received the bill so I had no idea I owed anything. While on the phone confirming that a few weeks ago the original service provider told me i didn't have a balance on my account with them. Only the bill for the separate service which is billed by a different office. The second bill Adrian claimed I owe is allegedly from the original service provider. I told her I had already spoke to them and I do not owe a bill with them I only owe the bill for the separate service and she threatened me with legal action, saying I had plenty of chances to pay my bill. But, yet she claims the second bill only came to them on Aug. 21?
Adrian also said she would get documentation that I owe the second bill. I said I'd get my own documentation and ibhsve receipts to prove my payments and she said I couldn't do that. I said that was not true. I have a right to get documentation of my bills myself no matter what collection agency they are with. She said she would end the call if I continued to be uncooperative and angry. I said if course I'm angry, your attempting to deny me my rights to my own financial information and you illegally contacted my family after I expressly told you not to during the last call. She said she personally didn't call my family and I said I didn't care who did her company called my family to expose my debt and attempt to embarrass me into paying, she works for that company so shes just as liable for that action against me.
She told me to get on topic and resolve the issue I said I would pay the first bill but not the second one that I do not owe. She insisted I owed it again and said I needed to pay the wmount for both bills in full and i refused anx said I would just contact the original company for the first bill and pay them directly. She said I could do that but they would still give the payment to Midwest Credit Bureau and said o didn't care what the oringal company does with the payment after I give it to them but since she (Adrian) is being uncooperative I'll take it up with the original company because I'm not paying a bill I don't owe in addition to the one I agreed to pay. She told me to so what I have to do. I said I would and said again I do not give consent for MidwestService Bureau to contact my family and she said she didn't need to have my permission. I argued yes, you do and you can only contact my family if you have not located me. It's the law.
