Older hotel. Marriott charges a resort fee at the hotel with very little amenities. We were here for a wedding and the staff wasn't very helpful...almost seemed annoyed.

Booked well in advance, checked in on line and then went to hotel around 8 pm. Were informed that they "had a crowd show up and gave our room to someone else." REALLY Marriott service?? Gets BETTER: they booked us a room at a nearby hotel. The manager at this nearby hotel showed us what was available - and apologized that the room was "not to the standards of the Marriott." Kudos to the manager but SHAME on the Marriott for pulling a bait and switch. NEVER again. Customer service means giving the customer something better when YOU'VE made an error.
Horrible experience at this property. I was told to my face that they do not honor elite status at this property. I was also told that I had a suite with a view that I reserved. My suite was on a low floor that looked into a rooftop and another Room. The room was filthy and many items were damaged and broken. There was trash laying inside and outside the property that was never cleaned up during my stay. The staff could care less about providing an accommodating experience. Management should be ashamed of this property.
Great views, well maintained, friendly staff. Not the the most robust wifi network.
The rooms are nice and clean, but there is certainly some room for improvement when it comes to the service. The hotel itself is not cheap, yet they frequently run out of coffee pods and water (that you have to request daily from the front desk). You are supposed to get beer samples on check in, which also never happened. Overall though it is well maintained, the location is awesome and we certainly would consider giving it another try.
You will never feel like a valued customer bc of the volume I guess, but the mountain is amazing, definitely in the top 10 in North America. The lift wait time on Epic Mix app wasn t working when I was there.. surprising with how much money they take in. The staff/resort/facilities could use work.. be prepared to be treated like cattle and get stuck in potential hour lift lines. I got caught in a 1.25 hr line when they opened the back bowls and everyone went there on Feb 8 after a storm(see photo). It s the only lift out (high noon express 4x)
We recently stayed at the Marriott to attend a wedding at the Four Seasons. In my opinion the Marriott was just as nice. The staff was all friendly and extra helpful when it came to shuttles, luggage and customer service. The room was spacious and clean.
Great location, valet was friendly and a better rate than the parking lots
Very nice resort, could work on urgency a bit more waited 3 hours for a room. Knew we were coming and still did nothing to prepare. On top of that they deliver you luggage to the room that took at least an hour also promised to call me when my room was ready, they did not I had to go up and ask.
Here for a conference and again a great experience. No matter your reason for staying at the Marriott you need to sample the beer on tap at the check in counter. Free? Free. Great first impression. Rooms are well appointed and the village is close and always a great to visit. Oh and Nespresso machines in the rooms!
Rooms are very nice. However, I was very unhappy with the valet service. Items in my vehicle were spilt and one thing was broken.
Wonderful staff. Was here for a week for a conference and their organization was impeccable. Highly recommend.
This place is absolutely incredible. The staff if fantastic. The views are astonishing. This is my first time in Vail and anytime I ever come back this is where I'm staying. It was my fiance's birthday and I talked to concierge about sending flowers to my room. They picked out the most beautiful flowers and surprised my fiance wonderfully.
The staff was awesome, the rooms were clean and everyone was very COVID safe. Great location, the free bus stops right in front of hotel. The only downside is that if you don t want to valet your car, you have to park about 5 min walk away. Otherwise, highly recommend!
Supposedly renovated, but the place is still drowsy, overpriced. Not up to Marriott standards. Should be rebranded to Extended Stay America category. Disappointing at best
Great stay! Fantastic breakfast buffet, beautiful views and really nice rooms.
We reserved the penthouse 3 bedroom w fireplace and it was absolutely beautiful! Three full bedrooms with their own bath plus a powder room, full kitchen, 2 patios one even has a BBQ grill. Dining table for 10 and large den (could've had more seating in there). This room competes with some of the higher end VRBO / AIRBNB listings in the area. I highly recommend!
Always a great experience. Staff is so helpful and accommodating!
This is one of the best hotels Ive stayed at. Staff are utterly professional, well run, you can tell the management at this place focus on hiring the best, running a tight shop that knows how to cater for customer service and needs.
First class resort! We have stayed at Ritz Carlton resorts all over America and can honestly say that the service and experience provided at the Vail Marriott was equally as fantastic. Manuel the manager provided five star service and his team made our stay more than we could have asked for. Our concierge Kimberly can do anything and I recommend the mountain view room for beautiful scenery. Everything was so easy and enjoyable like the ski valet and peloton cycling classes. The GF menu options were a real plus and Ivana in the breakfast room gave us incredible service. Keep it up.
Overall, the service was great.
We received a $25 voucher for any restaurant located in the hotel. (Breakfast Buffet is amazing! A bit pricey ($39 per adult, $15 per child) , but if you actually eat it is worth it.)
FITNESS CENTER is good! Mostly all standard equipment, except barbell rack etc.. (but an exceptional workout can still be completed)!
Marriot is located less than 5 minutes from the Vail Ski Resort area (I.e: lifts, lift tickets etc.).
Events daily for children and guests.
Games upon request.
Nice rooms
Mostly, nice and friendly staff.
Thank you!
Muchas gracias.

Came here for a friend's Bachelor party. Hotel's location is fantastic. Service has been amazing. Matias is the best! Rooms are nice. View? That's the topping.
The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly.
Awesome to the mountain and food in the area... local shuttles are every five minutes.
The staff is wonderful & went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. The hotel had a complementary s'mores bar & a fire for us to enjoy!
Consistently clean rooms. 2nd visit Cute suite with a view. Here for a conference. Decent amenities, with a few dining options. Plenty of access to outdoor activities as well.
Wonderful hotel, excellent location, great facilities. Being in Vail, won't come cheap
Very nicely decorated rooms, but tiny. We had two adults and a 6 yr old and felt fairly claustrophobic, tripping over our suitcases all week. The shower was great, beds were comfortable.
We went in July. The pool area was nice and a fire pit nearby was a nice touch at night.
The food is very bad in the hotel. My daughter got sick aftet eating raw pizza. I didn't realize it was raw until she had already eaten a piece. Got pastries and coffee at the kiosk in the AM. Lattes were terrible and the pastries were at least a week old. We threw out all $30 of it and went to Starbucks.
The hotel is in a great location which is only a quick walk to the Lionshead shopping and ski lifts, Starbucks, restaurants, etc.
There is a free shuttle which was super convenient to go to dinner in the evening. The restaurants in Vail are extremely expensive and not that great, in my opinion, which we learned the hard way. My advice is to be very clear with the concierge as to what you are looking for, such as the favorite restaurants of the locals, etc.
Overall, I would consider staying here again now that we know where to eat and that we would upgrade to stay in a larger suite.
I stay here annually for a food show. The rooms are very nice, the staff is amazing.
The Vail Marriott is an exceptional resort with outstanding services and personnel. Highly recommend this resort for year round vacationing and conferences.
Most staff was friendly, screwed up billing, and fridge in room wouldnt get replaced when asked as we had to keep ice on hand to keep contents cold.
Beautiful property. Staff was friendly and addressed any issues very promptly and professionally
Beautiful place, friendly staff and breathtaking views
Very comfortable room, although a bit tight, and very friendly staff. It s about a 2-3 minute walk to the bad of the gondola but they do ski valet which was very convenient.
This Marriott is soo nice and the location is awesome. Staying at this location is a totally different experience than any other Marriott locations.
The front office looks pretty unorganized, we waited almost 40min in line to get checked in. Not very polite or cordial staff. The bedroom assigned wasn't very clean, we found hairs in the bathroom and inside the bed, which was pretty disgusting. We called the front desk to see if we could get moved and they stated every room was occupied, which didn't seem to be the case. There was a crowd of guests attending a wedding on our same floor, so the noise was constant all day and night. Be prepared for long waits every time you drop or get your car back...Not sure why they can't have more employees in each department, as they all seemed understaffed.
I went to the bar for a late night snack and it was yummy.
Great location and service was awesome! Only area they could use improvement is updating the rooms, they are pretty outdated. Also, our AC didn't seem to work and we were there when it was in the 50s, so at night we had to leave patio door open.
Awesome resort if you're staying in Vail. They have a heated pool and hot tub as well as a second, adults only hot tub. The fitness center is the best I have ever used at a hotel. The restaurant is good and the prices are decent for the resort town. I highly recommend you get a fireplace suite as it really makes a difference after spending all day outside in the cold. The staff are very friendly and helpful! The hotel is located about two blocks from the Eagle Bahn gondola and is within walking distance of several restaurants and shopping address.
Pretty run down and beat up. Our room smelled terribly musty as we had to leave our outdoor door open at all times.
Small rooms, thin walls, overpriced. The rooms are quite modern though.
The place is nice without being luxurious or modern. Its transport system shuttle between the hotel, the super, the town and the sky stations is good. Rent equipment there for skiing. The bad thing is that after 11 pm there is no one in reception or have someone to help with the luggage.
Our family had a fantastic stay at the hotel. Great staff and amenities.
Only hotel I know with a beer tap at the front desk! Great stay.
The Vail Marriot is a great venue for the Vail Jazz Festival evening sessions. We are very much enjoying the jazz series, which consists of 3 to 4 45 minute performances, by the best of the best jazz artists in the jazz world. The hotel is in Lion's Head just off Vail mountain and Gore Creek. There's a free in town shuttle, should you prefer not to walk. Having said that, Vail and Lion's Head are all about walking & biking.
We visited the Ford Gardens & Ampitheater yesterday, which is a must do. Plus, you'll want to make time to hike along Gore Creek. If you're driving, lots to do in Beaver Creek, Avon, Minturn and surrounding communities as well. We're having a great time.
Great location and view. Within walking distance of the city side of Vail and close to the skiing.
One of the nicer Marriotts in the chain. Although you would expect that given it is Vail. Fireplace in room was nice as was the front desk, with their offer of a free local beer. Bar service was a bit slow at first but they made up for it. Location is great.
Easy walk to Lionshead gondola. Great service from the hotel staff- beer and whiskey samples in lobby, valet ski service, complimentary smores and hot cocoa, and shuttle service around vail.
They were so accommodating. My mom was on crutches and they made it easy for her to get around. They truly gave us a 5 star experience while we stayed here. I will definitely be back at some point and recommend this place to others!
Great place to stay and ski. Friendly service and really good hot wings.
Was upgraded to Jr suite which had great views of mountain
The staff was super friendly, breakfast was to die for, & views from the room were amazing! Would definitely stay again.
We arrived early at the hotel and even though our room wasn't ready, Owen (at the front desk) was able to provide excellent lunch recommendations. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, the rooms are large and extremely comfortable. Kuddos to Owen once more for breakfast suggestions and being very friendly and helpful.
Great place. Fireplace in room, wonderful service. Top-notch
Elegant and classy place with a really helpful front desk. Very well run establishment and in one of the best locations.
Stunning views and excellent service made for a memorable stay
Extremely great place to stay. Room was fabulous nice fireplace n fantastic views of the mountains from the balcony
It was ok a lot of money for what you get but that's vail.
Oh. My. Goodness! I've never wanted to live in a hotel more in my life! Breathtaking views, outstanding hospitality, home away from home room with a fireplace and couch. Hands down one of the best places my husband and I have stayed!
From the First face of the Valet staff to the front desk attendant to restaurant i had a plesent visit.
We went on Christmas vacation with our two toddlers. This hotel did a great job of giving us everything we needed - fridge, crib, sleds, etc.
