The most beautiful spas in Europe in a fantastic architecture .... and you can eat divinely

Normally 5 stars only on window days I have to downgrade the rating because 2 stars are still too much. Reason: there are just too many people in too little space. If you as a hotel guest no 2 beach chairs next to each other is something wrong.

Perfect relaxation in beautiful rooms and excellent atmosphere. Exceptionally extensive breakfast and dinner from the rich buffet for every taste and need. 1a Water landscape Thermal and brine. You do not have to leave the grounds to spend a day full of variety. Go and tell it.

Bad Blumau should position itself whether it wants to be a rest-and-time-out hotel or a family hotel.

Because with noisy and jumping children, relaxation does not always come about ...

Absolutely must have visit. Atmosphere is nice, just reserve upfront. They have towels and bath robes. Love it.

A dream! We go there at least once a year. Top staff, fantastic buffet and the spa landscape is unique.

Great spa, manageable with lots of angles. Unfortunately the room was already getting old. We had the Himmelreichzimmer by whopping 342, - per night with half board. A pretty proud price that is absolutely not justified. The dinner in buffet form, good but nothing special. The breakfast was enough. There is the price of a lot of air up in all areas. The staff is very friendly. Also the day entrance with 54, - on the weekend is lessened. Too bad, would be a nice place to drive more often, but the price-performance ratio does not fit.
You pay for the name Hundertwasser, too bad.

An incredible and unique hotel! This was the third time I went for the New Year and each time this hotel surprised me. The architectural quality, the level of quality and comfort, the calm and the baths, everything is perfect. Absolutely no complaints except to continue. I can only recommend this unique hotel.

Very beautiful, spacious thermal bath in the architectural style of Friedensreich Hundertwasser. The thermal spa landscape is an architectural masterpiece, very spacious and connected by bridges and canals, simply beautiful and unique. On the other side is the Vulkania bathing area with the salt lake and a thermal pool with a pool bar, where delicious cocktails are served. In summer the salt lake is divided into two areas, one with approx. 37 degrees and one with approx. 27 degrees, so there are even two salt lakes for swimming in summer. The sauna area is very well maintained and there are several themed saunas. Unfortunately, the guided infusions could not take place due to Corona, but you also sweat so well. The large and comfortable cuddly loungers can be reserved for 10 per day. Due to the size of the facility, however, you should be able to walk easily. There are a few steps at the bridges, but these can also be bypassed, so there is also accessibility, but the way is longer.

The hotel is also built in the Hundertwasser style and the rooms are a good size, very clean and the beds are super comfortable. A bathing bag with a bathrobe and pool towels is included for your stay. In some rooms there are mosquito screens on the window, which is very pleasant in summer. The food in the restaurant (breakfast and evening buffet) is excellent, some of the food is served by the staff and the service at the table is very friendly. The hotel staff is just as friendly and always available when you need something.

Have only used the spa, but it is just great. Nice / friendly staff.

Hard to find any problem in this hotel. Very beautiful, very comfortable The pools are very enjoyable. Everything well organised. Not cheap and the food could be a bit better. Most of the rooms are far away from the pools and restaurants but this is not much inconvenience compared the whole joy.

Always happy to come here. Slowly the plant comes to an age where I say personally, she looks like Hundertwasser had in mind her vision. Nature, art and the thermal industry now give an overall picture. You can relax, enjoy nature and has all the amenities of a very good guest service. Renewals should be made carefully here. Unlike other locations, this is a statement on sustainability. If you want to come here, you should know it beforehand and understand it too. You will notice that the operators are not always easy to decide what changes and what is not. And that is exactly what makes it likeable and lively.

Very nice wellness hotel. We especially liked the healing lake ... I think it's great when the water temperature is 37/38 degrees and not always only 30-34.
The food is also very good with no flavor enhancers. I also found the possibility to have breakfast / dinner in a bathrobe, because you save so much time, the whole thing is more relaxed (thus more wellness) and you have more time to relax in the thermal baths.
To the thermal bath - as mentioned the healing lake is super v. A. Fire bowls are set up there at night. The saunas outside are very nice with the infusions and inside there is also a lot of opportunity for variety (but we were only outside in the infusion sauna).

In summary, a clear recommendation for a wellness vacation :)

Come to this spa every year. Is just perfect for relaxing. The best is the vulkaniabecken. This is extra low and extra warm. There are free bathrobes and bath towels. The price is not very small, but which thermal bath is already cheap. Here it is never crowded and there are only a few children. The breakfast is delicious. On public holidays etc you should reserve VL, otherwise it can happen that you can not go in.

Great hotel, many nice restaurants. The breakfast buffet was heavenly, the Abenbuffett good. The prices for rooms are high, the prices for additional services are extremely high. Presumably due to the high prices, the spa landscape is not as crowded as in some other spas. The extraordinary architecture of Hundertwasser was very harmonious. The adjoining village Bad Blumau is very well maintained, the area offers many hiking and biking trails, which are also very well signposted.

Simply the best and most welcoming Spa- and Wellness Hotel worldwide! I have been a regular customer for about 20 years and have not discovered a hotel / spa worldwide where I can relax as well as here. One feels immediately and eternally lovingly accepted as a guest. The staff is very friendly and professional. The infusions are first class, the gastronomy of high quality, the architecture of Hundertwasser unparalleled beautiful and close to nature. In short, I have enjoyed every minute of my stay and have not had any reason to complain in all these years.

Hasn't been in a long time. Blumau was my favorite spa for a long time. Goods over the holiday weekend. This time the verdict is mixed. It was so full that at 10 in the morning you couldn't get a lounger in the thermal bath and the guests even had to lie in the corridor. At a price of over 160 euros per night and person, this is not appropriate. Better to let in fewer day visitors and more quality.

What particularly struck me this time is the personality cult around Mr. Rogner. Busts, photos everywhere, biography in the room, .. In my opinion a bit too much.

Wellness: had 4 treatments, two were great, two well ... in total also rather expensive. The sauna area is also very crowded, and many infusions also cost extra.

Room could have been a bit cleaner (cobwebs on the ceiling), otherwise ok.

Now for the positive:
The staff is very friendly and the food is regional, fresh and there is something for every taste. Breakfast is possible until 12 in a bathrobe. Architecture is still something very special.

In total, unfortunately, it is only enough for three points. A pity...

Diverse, lots to see and try out, but a renovation would not be bad ...

Favorite spa and probably the best place in the world to feel good!

The spa is beautiful, offers several retreats and relaxation. The hotel room is spacious, clean and equipped with a large TV. Particularly noteworthy was the dinner buffet with a large selection of mostly prepared with organic ingredients dishes - vegetarian, fish and meat. The taste was a pleasure.

One of the best places for a wellness weekend. Many pools, jacuzzis and saunas. Delicious food, which is prepared from local ingredients.

The hotel and the spa look very nice, thanks Hundertwasser, but you can tell the building the age a bit. The room was very warm, at night really uncomfortable and the rooms are very noisy, for a hotel of this category not worthy. The staff was mostly nice, seemed partially set. The food was good and good average. There are enough child seats and we had no problems with our barely one year old. Unfortunately, with a small child, the use of the spa, as you except in the children's pool almost in no pool allowed. But there is a separate lounge area for families, even if it is a bit small, very positive. As a conclusion: Bad Blumau is fine, but too expensive for the performance.

6 x Survival TIPS:
Without them, you quickly start to get angry!
1. If you only want to visit the quite attractive spa landscape, reserve in advance! In time! Because in the hierarchy you stand as a day guest in last place. First, the hotel guest can "swim", then follow the guests of other hotels (with which the RBB has cooperations) and then you come first.
2. If you love to have a sauna, get ready for a small and sometimes narrow sauna area. Although there are many different types of saunas, they are small and scanty close to areas for relaxing. In the spa area, a wonderfully stylish, new "Kingdom of Heaven" with velvet loungers has emerged; only are also from Friday evening and on weekends well attended. And many guests also use their cell phones and computers there! Apparently, there is no strict ban in the entire spa and sauna area; even on the edge of the pool, smartphones appear.
3. If you want to spend the night in the RBB, but put emphasis on a bright and perfectly furnished room (as the photos on the website show) with a special view, let you explain exactly which rooms are furnished, bright and where furnished exactly. The fact that the windows in the Hundertwasser architecture are always different in size and tend to be smaller, is self-explanatory. The example of the "stone house" makes it clearer: A house front runs parallel to the forest (so swallows additional light), the other side has In contrast, the ground floor has a clear view, there with comfortable terraces. On the upper floors you have a partly very wide view of the entire area and the valley. Only the rooms in this house are all differently equipped; from very modern to asbach-ancient. Unfortunately, this is not clearly communicated and is not reflected in the price difference per guest. Conversely, in the worst case, you may feel comfortable in a country school home interior for a lot of money. Also, the "stone house" is the furthest away from the spa center; So plan here long running distances!
Most of the (underground) passageways are well heated; so that is fun in the bathrobe. In the stone house, however, it was during my holiday rather cool.
4. If you like to dine quietly and very high quality, then only the (small) steak restaurant "Genussreich" comes into question. In which you at least 27 euros of your HP will be credited. In the main restaurant "Lebensfroh" the atmosphere is the same as the train station. :-) Also from the selection and quality of the food for the evening. Although colorful, sometimes very good to but sometimes rather average. Original and very likeable is the "Naschkammer." Do not miss! :-)
5. Let yourself be treated by the masseur masters who work in the SPA! The best part of the whole body, and then you book the rest in the salt cave (with salty air, cave ambience and meditation music) or in the Alphasphere (brightly lit couches with vibration and sound programs in a dark blue aura). Although these rooms are not perfectly soundproofed; so it's just the station wagon similar to a high-flow, absolutely recommended and worth every euro (!).
6. Plan your days in the facility so that you can take part in the house and technology management. Here you will learn exciting background information and can better understand the Hundertwasser concept. And even classify, why in some accommodations, so in the stone house, partly Landschulheim level will continue unchanged. ;-)
According to Hundertwasser's vision, the RBB is its own world of overly many and special sensory impressions. To have been there once, to float in the volcanic basin or completely dry after a massage de luxe in the salt cave ... worth it! Come back ... depends entirely on whether you want to pay for unchangeable circumstances (see above) so much coal.

Amazing, like a dream. We been there through late evening and it was fantastic. A feast to all senses. (oops, vegan menue could be better)

Great spa with very pleasant water temperature. Unfortunately extremely expensive, everything has to be paid extra, even as a hotel guest is less than in other spas included. The restaurant in the spa is mediocre, the waiter the worst we have experienced for a long time. A night for two comes to about 400 euros (however, including surcharge on the steak eatery) of which is a voucher for the daily entrance for two people already deducted. But you get in other spas easily two nights. As a day guest again, but the hotel is not recommended.
