Lovely setting, great staff, expensive coffee! $5.45 for a cup with no refills? Valet service is $60/day or you can park down the street for$50. Rooms were comfortable. Free transportation around the area is great because there is limited parking.

The rooms are absolutely perfect. I've stayed in many great Marriott's around the country, but this one ranks #1 for cozy and comfy rooms. The color scheme of greys, burnt browns and then the deer antlers over the fireplace create a perfect lodge-like ambiance with mountain views out of the windows that actually open. Chic and modern, yet comfortable and cozy.
Beautiful property. Staff (front desk to valets) awfully professional. Good location and shuttle if you don't want to walk. But pretty darn pricey with required resort fee and only valet for parking.
Really nice resort and a short walk to all activities. Corporate rate was very reasonable. Only drawback is that the onsite bar shuts down pretty early.
It is clear that the staff here is well trained and does an excellent job of making guest feel welcomed. Every interaction we had with the staff was fantastic. We were traveling with our kids and they made sure to interact with them. We visited at Christmas time and the front desk staff had their own elf that they moved around the lobby. Each time the kids found the elf they gave them a prize. This was just one of many things they did during our stay. Our kids actually kept asking to go visit the front desk staff just so they could tell them about some cool adventure they went on.
As far as the hotel, this property looks like it is very well taken care off. Everything is in great shape and I would be hard pressed to find something out of place. The rooms were comfortable and we had a balcony which was a nice feature (note some rooms do not have balconies).
The hotel has both an indoor and outdoor pool. The indoor pool can be tricky to find so look for it near the spa. The outdoor pool is usually covered unless someone requests for it to be uncovered.
The hotel is a bit of a walk from the slopes but it is walkable.
The hotel service is amazing, however the property itself is ready for a refresh. The resort fee might seem pricey, but if you maximize your time at the hotel, you will get it back easily.
Poor service and lack any customer respect. My husband and I stayed at this hotel July 4-6 for a vacation. Upon arrival, we discovered that the spa and fitness center were under renovation and closed which was disappointing . When we got to our room, we only had one towel so I called down to have more brought up. No towels were brought and I had to go to the front desk to request them after two unsuccessful calls that resulted in no towels. However, all of these little things pale to night two of our experience. The early evening of July 5th began with us sitting on our patio having a drink before a dinner reservation. To our surprise, multiple cops carrying guns showed up on the street outside the hotel. Things were obviously escalating as an officer yelled at us to get inside our rooms. I decided to call down to the front desk after about 30 min to see what was going on, no one picked up the phone. Around 8:00 my husband went down to the lobby to get us wine. He said that it looked like all the cops were gone so he assumed the issue was resolved. He walked from the 6th floor down the stairs to the main lobby where he was immediately confronted by SWAT and escorted out of the building, it was a very scary situation. He borrowed a strangers cell phone to let me know not to leave the room and that he was stuck outside. He was allowed back into the hotel at 10:30 pm. To make this evening even more infuriating, we hadn t eaten anything and decided to call room service. No one answered the phone, and we called constantly to the main desk and room service line for 30 minutes (since it is supposed to be available until 11 pm) before giving up. The overall service on this stay is an issue. My $209 in resort fees and taxes were an absolute joke considering I would have received better service and amenities at the local motel than I did at a hotel I paid over $300 per night for. But, the longer I think about my husband walking around a hotel where an active police pursuit of a man deemed dangerous to the guest, the angrier I get. Why in the world would a call not be placed to rooms to notify us to stay inside with the door locked? This experience was anything but a quality experience and this hotel has no consideration for the safety of its guests.
Great staff and a convenient location. Was upgraded to a suite which was nice with a great view. The bed was uncomfortable for me but that's a matter of preference.
Awesome place. You pay for it, but you get stellar views, service and amazingly comfy beds. The bar had live music when I arrived and while littered with ski poles, there was ample room to sit. I'd definitely come back here if I could afford it on the regular for ski weekends.
$30 for an omelette? Really? Eggs are about.$.20 EACH. I get markup, but, really? No wonder there were about 5 people in the dining room for breakfast. Live music... Meh... Rooms are nice... little amenities are nice (ski valet is a bonus), but overall, not fantastic.
Great hotel, rooms were exceptionally clean and ready. Front desk staff was excellent, and Michaela did an amazing job taking care of our family and making sure we were comfortable. Vail in July is beautiful.
Beautiful place! Went for a church retreat. The staff was nice and friendly. The views and the outdoor environment is gorgeous! Had a wonderful time, wil be back again :)
I love Cascade location. this place is like a little village unto its own. They all can be very noisy hustle-bustle at all times and it's a nice escape to go back to the Marriott to get some peace and quiet and some rest for the next day of skiing. It's an ideal location in facility for group events which have experienced how many occasions and would recommend to anyone considering the same.
Stayed here again for closing weekend April 21st-23rd. Even though they were booked they provided us with an upgraded room and surprised us with champagne when they found out it was our anniversary. The car service, front desk and all hotel staff are 5 stars. Thank you! See you next year!!!
Everything from your conference place was remodeled a few weeks ago. It is very nice also I like the hotel and they are already there to buy a coffee All quiet in the pool and also restaurant. Do yourself when you check in at the hotel serving beer.
I wish I could give this hotel less than 1 star. Especially the IT department. I have tried numerous times to resolve an IT issue about there Televisions that were sold to me but I keep getting the run around. All I need is the lock out codes for the TV. I have left messages and emails with the IT department, and even the IT director of this Marriott brandt marott and got no response or help at all. I need help from to fix this issue!
This is an amazing Vail venue... 5 stars for almost every aspect. Facilities that any group from a couple to a whole corporate branch or multi-national wedding, you will enjoy your time here and feel appreciate the usually timely and top-notch service experiences. Brand new Spa and gym facilities that has everything from a cold plunge to a salt room... yes I said room just go relax there sometime it may be your new favorite place. Havent stayed in winter actually so not certain how smooth skiing is but you are right in the village with all the valet options you could need. Summer rates are a real score for the luxury I would peruse prices and take advantage.
Awesome place to stay and not super expensive for vail, compared to whats around. The facilities are very clean, and the staff is super helpful in helping you navigate the area especially given all the COVID restrictions. You are just a short vail bus ride to all the food and shops.. If I stay in vail again, I'll be back here.
It's a nice hotel and great for skiing snowboarding. I was there doing work in the hotel so should t have been charged on my credit card since the room was a comped room and the general contractor told me this. Yet they still asked for my c.c. and took money off of it for incidentals when it never should have been ran. Check my acct. Now 2 WEEKS LATER and still havent recieved the money they took. Called and asked about it and was told there was nothing they could do that there system releases the funds automatically.
For my personal point of view, everything is amazing but the one thing that makes it amazing is the staff, all of them are extremely friendly and helpful.
First, it s Vail. Expect things to be pricey. The resort fee and parking are costs you cannot avoid in the area. The resort attempts to justify it with a $20 coupon and a 1/4 shot of whiskey.
Rooms are outdated (hence the current remodel) and staff are friendly. As a frequent business traveler, there s nothing to write home about this resort.
For belonging to a high-end ski resort, this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. To begin with the valet/bellman's and the front desk, who seemed totally understaffed. The rooms are not upgraded or up to date as expected, nor they were thoroughly cleaned. For the type of location and price charged, it's definitely not a luxury resort. The spa was under construction and the pool and hot tubs outside were cold. They could definitely use some professional training for their front of the house staff, which is pretty amateur.
The Marriott hotels have always been above standard whenever we visit. This one, however, stood out above the others we've been too. It could be the fall season, which isn't incredibly busy here in Vail, not like winter, and it's my anniversary, so I just may be in a good mood, but it seemed to me to be blissful here at this hotel, tucked in the mountains, surrounded by autumn colors. The views were amazing, the staff friendly, the room itself immaculate, modern, and holds lots of amenities.
Overpriced, with an upcharge for everything. The staff at the front desk was rude. The rooms aren't all that nice for what you pay. Small double beds instead of queens.
