If ever there is a desperate time of overall when ...

If ever there is a desperate time of overall when ( as typically happens) that the system gets so bad that the close staff are literally embarrassed, check this comment out! It s very obvious the transportation department here is a bad joke. And I would argue that this is NOT just whiny student predictable groupthink. Like, I m from okstate original and our transportation facility was off campus and still pretty darn harsh. It was typical to see boots on cars.but that s cus Oklahomans are dumb and ignore tickets. Even the transportation office up there had at least a high 2 to a 3.. pretty sure a 3. Just went to the office to pick up my pass got there early, no line so my experience was technically just dandy but I will tell you ( IF IT EVER GETS SO BAD THAT IT BECOMES EMBARRASSING ), note that it s not just the guys in golf carts who suck ( as I ve read). The office staff couldn t be a more annoying, awkward, or slow bunch of blatant diversity highers. (Whatever! Dox me!!) Wowee that little girl with hajab on is so bloody obnoxious. I mean, she s literally laughing to her coworkers about how she wants to work at a hospital where they don t have to help men, for some reason? Doesn t the Qaran say to honor your husband? I mean, it was more than just that but it s like a more annoying version of the DMV in all. Bleh gut it and start over.

P.s. all the 5 star comments on this page have zero text... um. Like... transport office staff, do you FEEL retarded when you drive to work?

100 bucks per semester for a parking pass so that I can drive around following strangers for an hour hoping they're leaving, have my spot stolen by other (equally frustrated) students, and end up having to pay for a pay-by-space anyway because there's no other spot and I'm just that late. And then their pay-by-space machines are broken half the time, but you're responsible for taking more time from your day to contact them about the functionality of their machines.

I look forward to the day I never have to park here again.

Why exactly does this place exist? You have to buy permits online. You buy daily passes on the machines. You appeal citations online. What exactly is the purpose of this place? They're basically useless and serve no purpose. 2 stars instead of 1 cause the lady was sorta nice

Money hungry and unwilling to work with students who have already handed over $200 to park on campus. Issuing citations during the pandemic while most of the campus was closed down; closed both of the parking garages closest to where I, as a graduate student, needed to continue working after May 2020. Even though the building I work in was literally locked and you had to have key access to even enter, they still only issued parking citations in pay by space parking but did not issue parking citations to anyone parking directly next to such spaces in GZ2 without such parking permit. Absolutely annoyed with this university who has benefitted from me being a student of theirs for 6 years now, as I completed undergraduate with them.

You guys are absolute trash. Always giving tickets after 5:30pm even when parking becomes open for all permits. Do your job right or just don t even bother. USF would be much better without these clowns.

Is it possible to give zero stars? I have missed so many classes and am always late to work from the bull runner being so off schedule. Drivers will pull over and be out of service for 30 minutes and the next bus won t come for 20-40 minutes or so. Such an unreliable transportation which is a huge disappointment for off campus students. USF NEEDS MORE BUSSES!! They're are packed elbow to elbow since they never come! Hire more drivers. Run more busses.

Paid for parking for 7 hours at 11:56 AM; came to car at 5:35 PM to find a ticket had been issued at 12:45 PM that same day... that is correct, less than 1 hour after I paid for 7 hours, I got a ticket

Now I have to pay money to appeal the ticket or give my information to people who have no business with any of my PII.

Appeals do not work, by the way. I have sent in pictures with time/date stamp, stubs from payments, pictures of bank statements indicating I paid and still they try to assess more fees.

Officer 210 is just rude. He wrote my citation for being in a wrong spot and for the pictures, one was one of my flat tires (which is why i couldnt move my car, because i had two) and of my lisence plate as usual. There are absolutely NO SIGNS in the crescent hill parking garage
Which just happens to be by the village, the holly appartments, and castor/beta hall. Where do you expect students to park? ATLEAST put up signs that saw where residents, students, etc can park

*ADVICE* for people who are given tickets/citations:
I was told to write a letter to someone in the department or the dean letting them know that you can't afford the ticket (which in most cases, is true) and that you 'apologize'. The girl who told me said that she had a couple of tickets removed by doing so. Good luck.

If I could give it a zero star I would. Refuses to provide the prorated refund PER THEIR OWN POLICY due to covid as if us students don t need the money either. Their reason is they still have to run other aspects such as the buses WHICH ARE ALREADY PAID FOR AS A PART OF OUR TUITION. This cannot be legal for them to change their policy mid way when it becomes inconvenient for them.

Just witnessed a parking enforcement employee writing tickets for cars parked at the library where students are inside studying for exams. This is at 6:30 pm when the entire Sun Dome Lot is closed for an event. Where do you expect students to park? Despicable. It shows the University places revenue above all else, especially education.

They never answer the phone and give citations out for sport. First time getting a citation and didn t even bother giving a warning. Nobody is willing to help. If I could give zero stars I would.

Got a parking citation as a visitor, and was only there for 30 minutes. It's like they have someone going around every single car every single hour. And there were so many other spots available!

Apparently locking your keys and wallet in the car, causing you to go over in time by 15 minutes (I already had paid for 6 hours) is not a good enough reason to appeal a citation. I'm convinced these people live for taking money from students.

I had well over 200$ in parking citations, for parking at the library studying for midterms, and on one occasion stopping the ticket man right before he cited me for my tires pointing in the wrong direction, parking near my dorm when my assigned parking lot was full, and also leaving my car parked for a mere 10 minutes to grab some forgotten books and folders. With the extremely overpriced tuition I don't understand why a semester's worth of parking is 100$.The University system in this nation is such a money hungry, atrocious abomination.

Paid for my parking citation and the system still has a hold on my account. Tried to contact the office and have gotten a machine three times now. Either update your current systems to work better with the registration systems or set up a better phone line.

Bunch of thieves. $200 and can't find a parking spot. Would give a 0 if possible.

I got a $40 citation for parking on 'grass' in the S parking lot so I don't be late for my class which is a mile walk from my class because I found no other parking spot in the "RARE" S lots. What a disgrace to the university. Absolute trash

Bought a resident pass because I lived on campus. I ended up working on campus but it was on the opposite end so I would drive there as not to walk all the way across campus in my work clothes. I would park at the top of the parking garage where no other cars were and still racked up $180 in fines. I went to try and buy a student parking pass after my first ticket only to be told I can only have one pass at a time regardless of my willlingness to even pay another $100 for a ridiculous pass. So I was stuck with the tickets that they felt the need to so generously give out as if it was their only sense of income.

Honestly deserves 0 stars. If you re going to build a bunch more dorm buildings then you better add more parking. All of Holly and The Village shares ONE floor of the Crescent garage!!!!!! Sure there are lots by the village but for those of us in Holly those lots are super far!

Employees write tickets outside of enforced work h...

Employees write tickets outside of enforced work hours and dates. They watch spots like hawks and wait for students to leave before writing tickets. Had a friend who came to pick me up on campus once and didn't have a pass. They parked in the lot outside my dorm, JP, which already had the only two 15 minute spots taken up. We leave the building 3 minutes later and there's a ticket on her car, so somebody saw her get out and then wrote it up. Meanwhile I doubt those cars were only in the visitor spots for 15 minutes, and they don't enforce that ever.

Oh, and keep making GZ spots $400 a year so that they don't get filled up at all. That seems to help us all out

Parking services are currently giving citations to essential workers on a desolate campus. Majority of the bathrooms aren t even open on campus. It s absurd what USF will do for your money, especially during a pandemic.

8:04PM at the library....

God forbid I utilize my tuition studying on campus at the library. You would think you can park for free on campus after peak hours. I was wrong. With hundreds of parking spaces open, they find you at 8PM on a Wednesday evening being a strain on the parking system. I went to the library to study for an important test I have approaching, but came back to my car at 1AM to find a ticket. Glad USF can crack down on parking violators, because a parking violation is much more important than any of the violent threats our campus witnesses all too often.

Received a citation while I was buying a parking permit, because there was literally nowhere else to park. In the 5 or 10 minutes that it took to walk there, they had already booted my car and fined me another $75... I appealed and they upheld...

Tons of open green fields, but God forbid they tear one or two up to make more parking lots. Absolutely the worst parking I have seen. For tuition costs, one would think parking would be more available.

Basically if you're wearing a backpack and walking within a quarter mile of any parking lot or parking structure, prepare to be stalked by numerous cars. At this point, when I graduate I'll also have a Masters in car stalking. I firmly believe you could make a good livin' grabbing a parking spot early, then walking around with a sign saying $10 for my spot.

Missed numerous classes simply because there's NO parking, even a mile away from class buildings. Love the university, but this parking issue makes them lose SO MUCH credibility.

First time ever on this massive campus. I was overwhelmed. Mary was a huge assest in helping me decide which parking pass was best for me. She also went further to help me locate the buildings I needed for the day and the best lots to park in.

parking is way to expensive, best advice don't get a car if you are staying on campus and if you decide to live of campus get a close apartment like on50. the bull runner is always full and late especially around peak times. I'm sad hat the university still charges an arm and a leg for parking i believe it should be free or reduced, also usf has limited parking. you hear stories about taking 20 mins to find parking and those stores are true. so you have to leave at least 30 mins before class

These guys are real american heros. They sacrifice their mornings every day to ensure that justice is done and the students of USF spend their hard earned money on parking tickets instead of spending their money on food, water, and fun. God bless the men, women, and others who ride around on their golfcarts taking kid's grocery money. I feel honored just to get to walk on their office and charge my credit card with the money I don't have to pay extra money for the parking permit I already bought. Thank you, USF parking, we all love you.

So, I pay $200 in parking passes each year.. can t find any parking. Decided that I really do need to go to class, park in the grassy lot in front of Pollo, and get a $40 ticket. I check the ticket and guess where it says I received the ticket: Lot 41T, a temporary lot. So it s a lot, that s only open 3 times a year...? Y all are honestly trash and I hate going to school.

I have been charged 210 dollars in one semester and 3 weeks for such "violations" as backing into my spot, having the parking permit on the UPPER left side of my windshield instead of the lower, and parking outside of my designated parking lot when I need to hurry to class.

God dam they charged me $97 for a semester of parking. They also don't take American express and cash. Also there appeal process sucks. Just buy it online and save your self the trouble of coming here.

Paid for daily parking and still got a citation just two hours later. Why the hell do I even get a citation in a 8 story parking garage and not even the 2nd floor was halfway full? Not to mention it's the summer term. Is spending thousands of dollars on tuition already not enough? Completely shameful.

USF Parking is a scam. They issue tickets without any reason, ignore appeals and then threaten and harass you to try to get you to give them money. Local news should do an investigation on this shakedown. How about building enough parking and honoring your own rules and permits USF? Yeah right, they make too much money stealing from students and customers.

Since parking does not come with the costs of tuit...

Since parking does not come with the costs of tuition, students spend around $90 a semester to $180 for the year only to get the privilege of fighting for the scarce parking spots there are. I have spent over an hour actively searching for parking in multiple lots and garages. The garages do not have cameras, by the way, so if you do find parking there just hope nobody hit-and-runs your car while you are in class. If you park outside of a parking spot, or in the wrong spot, you will be found. They fund the citation teams better than they do the actual lots to park in. The best part is, all of these issues only get worse every year. Don't worry though, USF decided to rename the road USF Maple to USF Genshaft, which completely fits in with all the other tree named roads like; Magnolia, Citrus, Apple, Willow, Pine, Holly, Orange, Sycamore, and Cedar. Go Bulls.
