My doctor is very good with my health needs. She cares and is kind. The staff is super helpful as far as insurance needs or questions or even help. The staff is also very enter active.

The hospital is mice and are doctor was ok but while sitting in the same day surgery a huge roach walked across the floor and after killing it and telling the staff they could have cared less.

I just had back surgery and all the staff on 9N are outstanding!

Hello. I had a very extensive back operation performed on June 9, 2020 by Dr. Joon Lee. Every single department of the hospital was absolutely amazing starting with the fine people in Pre-OP on the 6th floor. I also spent a day in the ICU then up to the 9th floor. Every single person I was treated by or encountered was outstanding! I in fact am writing separate letters to the supervisor from each department that will actually include the names of all who took care of me as their efforts were commendable. The food and food service was also incredible and having been there for 6 days I had ample opportunity to enjoy. Absolutely the best omelet I ever had! Keep up the fine work!!!!

The majority of the staff is very helpful and caring. The cafeteria makes their food from scratch and is delicious.

Doctors and nurses are very nice and respectful. And they know what their doing for my Mom!!

Worst hospital ever!! I was transfered from Westmoreland here. Got here at 9pm. In extreme pain finally at 1230 am they offer me Tylenol. Really Tylenol when I can't even sit upright in so much pain? At 130 pm today I wAs told they would get me flexerall. At 4 pm the nurse came in and asked if I wanted it. She told me I was sleeping, which I was not. They make you suffer in pain and don't care! All they care about is money!

Unfortunately my daughter and I have had six, week long stays at four different hospitals in two states over the past 11 months. The nursing and aid care at Montefiore has been the worst. Twice sheets with holes were placed on the bed. The first time I thought it was an anomaly. When it happened the following day I was told they were experiencing problems with their laundry.

Problems are understandable. Failing to correct them is not.

I asked to have the sheets changed in the morning. There were blood spots on them from a draw the night before. Seven hours later they still were not changed. I asked a second time. Then I received the sheets with holes and was told if I didn t want holes, it would take anoti5 hours.

Urine was collected in a hat. It was never measured or emptied until I asked that it be done. After it was emptied, the hat was not rinsed out. It sat there with remnants of urine until I brought it to someone s attention.

Housekeeping emptied trash once a day. Afterwards, overflowing canisters and trash dropped on the floor would be ignored until it was brought to someone s attention.

When shortcomings were brought up, the typical response of staff was to justify why they do things the way they do them.

No complaints about the doctors. Nursing staff and aides leave a lot to be desired. From the patient s perspective, staff has a big impact on the experience.

Every doctor that I have dealt with at this facility has been fantastic.

this hospital is horrible on so many levels there have been a good handful of people in my family that have died here because the doctors would make the wrong choices. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone.

Horrible place. Make u pay for parking while your dealing with your loved one dying. They waited to long to do the transplant and my mom died.

A caring hospital with medical staff that are quick to attend to your health needs.

While out of state on a hunting trip I got vey sick. God brought me to this great hospital. They saved my life! My family and I received above and beyon the best of care. I want to thank the doctors and staff for everything. Thank you very much Orange Team !

Office staff are often disorganized and unmotivated to help you. Some are downright rude and many are frustrating to work with, but there are a couple who are kind and helpful. The nursing staff, on the other hand, are absolutely wonderful and will treat you very well!

Easy parking, either self or valet. Great, friendly staff.

My mother in law has metastatic breast cancer, and has received care from many facilities and their employees over the last few years. On her most recent admittance she received exceptional care from resident doctor Yatim and doctor Sprague. Their compassion and bedside manner is unsurpassed. Thank you for a wonderful experience during a really tough time.

My father had back surgery 2 days ago and passed away unexpectedly. Not sure why someone with numerous stints wasn't on a heart machine eventhough he had back surgery. Worse yet, is when my mom, brother and I went to see him after he passed 2 hours prior he still had resuscitating tube, with visible blood and straps on his head. Not how you should say good bye to your father. Room 981.

Best friend had a double kidney and pancreas transplant surgery. Everything went extremely well. There is a brick oven pizza shop in the hospital that is very good also.

My mother-in-law is staying there at this moment. It's not welcoming to patients or their families. It's almost as if they discourage visitors. My mother-in-law's cell phone died and she asked if they could plug in the charger for her; they refused to do so. My question is, why wouldn't you do that for your patients since you don't welcome family members to visit? That is only one issue. I am sure that there are some patients that have a lovely experience. Why can't each and every patient be treated the same?

I have nothing but good things to say about the staff and any workers we came in contact at Montefiore. Your family members/friends will be in good hands with this facility.

I can not put into words how awful of an establishment this place is, the staff, nurses and aides really were the worst I have ever had to deal with. I have been in the healthcare field for 19 years and I was horrified of the treatment they showed my previous sister and the rest of my family. They all should be ashamed of themselves. They all need to be fired and then taught again how they are supposed to treat their patients. I could rant about this place forever, but it is not worth my time or anything else. This is the second time on the same floor that my sister was treated just horrible. The doctors and their pathetic bedside manners should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves too. Honestly the whole UPMC company is horrid. My sister was incredibly sick, and was there for 8 long, agonizing days and I can't even imagine ever walking into another one their facilities. It makes my blood boil. Worst hospital ever.

The internal medicine on the 9th floor is a joke. They treat you like your just some guinea pig, and thats all you are there. I cant tell you how many times I came into the doctors office and they did everything but solve the problems i came there with. These are not real doctors. Everytime i went they would have to always get a supervisor involved. If you were real doctors there would be no reason to get your supervisor. A real doctor wears lab coats, these doctors here look like some college grad off the street. If you want a good doctor who actually cares about you and your health stay away from here. Dont waste your time with these doctors. If it wasnt for my family i would of died from a toxcity overdose from the pills they gave me. Worst primary care physician ever!!

It was not UPON Montefiore thts a hospital. I was at the Kaufmann Bldg tht NXT door to the hospital

The ladies at the main level 7 are very rude. They do not treat people with respect.

It's a pretty good adult hospital. It's smaller than others in the area so you don't need to walk as far to visit patients. You can also link to Presby and Eye & Ear from Montefiore.

I just had a liver biopsy done Wednesday March 27 th.2010. I love the ladies working in that department they were awesome really took good care of me

I AM FURIOUS!... It's Saturday 8 pm... I have scheduled a major surgery Monday 8.30am...Monday... 6days ago I had a preop ekg... Wednesday they called and said that they found anomalies and the surgery may not happen and they wiil get back to me in a few days..... Well... It's now Saturday 8pm...I spent all day calling his office, montifiore, hospital operators, answering services and more... Nobody can get ahold of my information as to whether or not im having major surgery in 36 hours...I've made arrangements to have someone care for my 79year old mother, to cut our lawns to feed pets, relatives to take vacation days to take and pick me up from the hospital, I bought 200dollars worth of digestibly friendly food for when I came home and I don't know if the surgery will even happen! Finally an operator took the initiative to have a fellow doctor call me 20 minutes ago but he just told me that he'll send a message to my doctor/surgeon ...I would expect this in a 3rd world country....not the supposedly well respected upmc...I can't believe that this is happening

Whomever took the pictures did an AWEFUL job! I dont care what it looks like outside, not I about the elevators! I wanted to see the room, the pt room, the gym, etc. Please fix that asap

Idk about the hospital experience but I do know about their internal medicine department and it is horrible. Barely can get appointments to be seen. Months apart. If you have health problems you can just forget going here. You will die. I have a long list of symptoms and not one of them was addressed. Asked for other tests and referrals and was completely ignored. They treat you like a guinea pig and all the doctors are incompetent. I waited there for 3 hours for my last appointment. And nothing was fixed. Sent home to suffer and then I have to clog up the emergency room because the doctors can't do their jobs. Thousands and thousands in emergency room visits which could of all been prevented had the doctors done their job. I will continue to clog up the emergency room. So when your family member dies because they couldn't be seen in time because the emergency room is full make sure to blame the 9th floor internal medicine department.

I agree about the food! It s the best Hospital food in all the hospitals in the area that I ve stayed in! I comes hot were asked Passavant it s only warm. I don t know how they deliver if by room number or first

Very nice nurses and doctors they help me found out was wrong with me. Washington hospital couldn t help me I thank them everyday for making me feel better
