Good job while you are in between jobs, The hours are set and depending on what team you are on you can get a ton of hours. The pay is whatever the hours are long but you can bring in 40k easy a year. The quality control team is really good and the management will work with your situation. Honestly that job was a blessing but not long term in my opinion if you have a life outside of work.If you have the chance to work with Ferrin Gomez or Santana learn everything you can from them good people.

First of all they obviously can t afford a $2.00 sign to show trucks an accurate location for S&R. Is it really that hard? Then you finally get in and guard shack peeps are the usual yapping machines with a lot to say with zero value. Then you dock and get attitude from an overweight kid that apparently doesn t get paid enough to do his little job bc again... acting like we want something from them instead of trying to give them the load THEY ORDERED! All in all just one big attitude for running 1800 miles and living outside so they can work local 9-5. Bless their little fragile hearts.

An individual I know very well was fired for a VERY MINOR injury. He was most definitely able to continue his duties. He was early every day and was willing to work as many hours as they would allow. Never did he or would he file for Workman's Comp. This young man is totally squared away. Makes 0 sense. Surely someone their can figure out his integrity level which is as good as it gets. The owner should review and revise this policy. An outstanding employee was let go.

Great Company, Great Employees, Great Benefits and an Awesome On-base Clinic! I was employed with Encore from 04/30/2019 to 07/29/2019. I worked for the DC Rewind Scrap sorting copper, aluminum and Tre-cable. I also bailed plastic and cardboard to be sent out for recycling. The aluminum was bailed and sent off to a recycling facility and returned back to Encore. The copper was placed in Hoppers Bins and recycled On-Site. My Supervisors (Day & Night) and Lead Supervisors where great to work with. They observed my work ethics and was pleased of my continuous hard work during my shift. Unfortunately I had to go on leave do to being diagnosed with carpal tunnel in my left hand and underwent surgery. I hope to have the opportunity to work for Encore again once released to return to work from my doctor.

Why is security spending your money harassing a citizen who is taking pictures standing on the public sidewalk in front of your building in Texas? I guess the freedom of press doesn't exist in front of your building. Sgt Joe Pell thought it was illegal & made contact. Filming is legal moran. You can view the video on YouTube under this title Encore Wire - Defense Contractor - McKinney, TX

One of the worst places to work in McKinney: long hours, no breaks, managers and supervisors treat employees like the are not people, if you have some type of complain or suggestion, they will laugh in your face or you get the typical answer... "there's the door if you don't like it". They give employees gift cards that managers just keep for themselves, super hot in the summer even at night. If you don't value yourself and like to be treated any other way than how a real person should be treated and to top it all with no good pay, then you should work there.

Came here to P/U a load going to California. Check in was a breeze, backing was a breeze, and checking out was also a breeze! Fast and they are friendly. Unfortunately I was not able to deliver my load thru because my truck broke down 30 miles after I left and had to go back to get unloaded. Also the same deal-fast. Make sure you get there with full tanks of fuel-they got a scale onsite.

encore wire has been doing tax evasion for YEARS! They have their employees load up truck after truck at the end of the year and haul off the wire to large storage units so that they don't have to include it in inventory then bring the wire back to the building after inventory and have employees unload ... SHAME ON THEM

Slave house work 21 days straight then decide to give you one little day off not even a weekend. If you have a family don t bother working here, cause u will be married to your job. Low wages, most of the time no breaks, lead men will abuse their power and plant managers won t care. Don t work here.

Not a bad place for employment. However some of the management likes to use threats and intimidation instead of conflict resolution when situations arrise. You don't treat people like that. If you don't get stuck with one of those as your boss. Wonderful place.
