The attendance levels were great for getting on rides, but the mask requirement was too much to have all out good time. I think a more reasonable approach would be if you can socially distance yourself, you should be allowed to pull mask down for a break.

Stayed at Cabana bay resort. Absolutely loved it! Great, affordable accommodation, wondeful staff. Hotel took many precautions to make the guests feel safe, we had no worries about covid. Walking distance to Volcano Bay. Loved it
I would give it 5 stars, but most of the rides you can't go on because I'm 6'4"300 lbs I know I'm bigger, but they could make the seats a tad wider You pay that kind of money and get shut out of a lot of rides.the ones we could go on,,mummy spider man, transformers were awesome. The food prices are ridiculous. But its supply vs demand I guess.
Best park for teenagers. It s a bit different concept from Disney, however, both parks are like a dream for the kids. The lines are so big during the weekend and holidays it s recommended to get express passes or plan your vacation in low season which is much better to enjoy all the attractions and have a better experience.
WOW my day was packed with entertainment !! So much to see and do !! The Rock the Universe concerts from 4pm - 1am were fantastic !! Will definitely go again. We had exclusive access to all rides after 6pm. Longest wait time for anything was 30 mins. Usually 5 - 15 min wait. Parking free after 6pm. WOW WOW WOW !!!
I had a conference here and the trails to get there were long and winding and i had to pass through security each way. Sometimes they were friendly and quick to get you on your way, sometimes they sought their ambitions as TSA agents and made you strip. Add on the meandering paths to walk into resorts designed for conferences and it got dull quickly. As with all places like this, they really want you to spend money, so it is best to avoid the restaurants.
The walk was lovely though, and there are beautiful plants the whole way with wonderful spots to take photos and enjoy it.
The staff on the phone is not honest. I made phone calls back in summer to make sure that our annual passes were not renewed. The staff said if I could not see it on my account that means I don t have it anymore . I found out they keep charging me every month. When I called them again, they said I should be able to see my passes on my account. But I could not . If your staff misguided us, how are we supposed to know what actually happens? If your staff do not know how the system works, how the guests are supposed to know ? The one I talked to on the phone was very rude too. I told her I used Skype to make calls because there was no signals at the vacation rental I stayed, she literally laughed and accused me of lying .Stay away from Universal Orlando. In the end, we got headaches, heartaches and trauma from the way your staff treated us.
Big fun. Very kind people. My daughter left her wand on a ride. When we got back they had the bag and the box but the wand was gone. Customer service replaced it for her Merry Christmas and Aloha.
The Sapphire was a fantastic and relaxed stay during the holiday season.
The staff was down to earth, and professional across the board. Whether it was the concierge, bell hop, or the staff in the cafe, I was met with courteous smiles, and great attitudes.
The boat ride over to Universal Walk was a nice introduction to the park. Not too long, not to short, the pilots were gracious and provided us with a safe journey to and from. Only thing that was slightly off-putting was when the park closes, the rush of crowds can be overwhelming. Yet, there are plenty of restaurants and bars to visit in the meantime.
All in all, I was there only two nights, yet Sapphire offered an affordable, but top-shelf experience. From pool-side, where I was impressed with the vigilant service of the life guards on duty, to the quiet ambiance of the bar where the bar tenders offered pleasant conversation and choice mix drinks, I look forward to another visit. I'm curious to know if the other resorts are as well staffed!
Had a wonderful time! It was the least busy I've ever seen it which helped us get thru the lines in less then 10 minutes give or take. All in all a wonderful day.
We spent the long dollar on our two day two park private VIP tour and of course my review reflects this. We purchased the private VIP tour and had an outstanding time. I realize the price of a private VIP tour may be out of the question but when you add in three amazing meals, parking, and absolutely no lines then you really get every penny you pay for a VIP tour. My first time to a major amusement park (outside of Disney in Tokyo, which is great but small compared to these here in states). There's too much to see and do to actually review. The level of detail in everything in the park allows you to just lose yourself in imagination. I had the best time of my life and my tour guide was just outstanding with the kids. Just perfect vacation for us.
Went on new year's eve will never do that again two adults 300 dollars to get in one park and we're residents after that you think food would.be at least reasonable no not really 11 dollar for slice of pizza or.hot dog .5 dollar waters waited one hour for food .you would think handing out food like salad, pizza, spaghetti and meatballs you'd have a better system. I would say that it is one of the worst and most expensive tourist traps in Florida.Management should be ashamed of themselves.but I'm sure their not
Went to Universal specifically for Harry Potter and I was not disappointed. It was magical and impressive and the butterbeer was delicious the entertainment superb and the fire breathing dragon was amazing. All the little shops were so cool. Outside of Diagon Alley, in the main part of Universal Studios they had amazing music and skits and performances that was so much fun to watch. My son's favorite was the construction workers that did really great drum sessions.
Absolutely horrible. Dangerously overcrowded and there is no system for crowd control. Paid almost $250 for each ticket and was able to ride 2 rides within 10 hours of being in both Universal and Islands of Adventure. Wait times are a minimum of 100 minutes and go up to four hours.. not acceptable for the price you pay and an overall miserable experience
Loved, loved, loved it! I have a daughter with special needs and the staff went far beyond my expectations here. I would recommend Universal to everyone as there is something for everyone.
It would be 5 stars if nearly every ride were not so terribly nausea inducing. I guess I'm getting old? That said, I'd return in a heartbeat for more Butterbeer
Anyone even slightly overweight or tall won't fit on the most popular rides. I couldn't fit on any of the main Harry Potter rides. And they have stopped offering most if the wands in the non-interactive version that looks better on display. Total waste of money unless you happen to be short and skinny enough to fit on the rides. Even then Disney is cheaper and I fit on every single ride in all of the Disney parks. In short, I spent $600 on one day in the park and couldn't ride the rides I wanted to ride and couldn't buy the merchandise I was intending to buy.
the Harry Potter part of the theme park was excellent. Having visited when there wasn't a huge crowd we got on and off rides extremely quickly. In addition to having the fast pass which allowed us to bypass any lines that were there. well this is no Disney world the rides are still fun the 3D rides are some of the best I've ever experienced. If you're a Harry Potter fan this should be on your must-visit list. I would also highly recommend The Simpsons Ride.
The park is divided into 3 regions. The rides are fast and even if they breakdown they are repaired as soon as possible . The Harry Potter world is a must visit for all Potter maniacs
Loved it. A must do while visiting Orlando. I left reviews of each individual park and CityWalk. Overall as a resort that have done really amazing upgrades here over time. The new Kong Ride was amazing. The Harry Potter lands are so detailed and so much fun. Older kids and adults alike can enjoy all they have to offer. The hotels are also really nice and the Express Pass option is one you cannot go without. Really makes the most of maximizing your trip. I have been waiting for the day my kids were old enough to enjoy Universal and that time has come. So excited for the next park they are building.
I felt very safe and it seemed like they worked really hard on making sure everybody kept mask on and six feet distance.....everything smelled sanitized and clean. Who ever was in charge of making sure the park was safe did an amazing job!!!! Would definitely recommend visiting!!!
By far my favorite amusement park. Very expensive though. With admission, food and parking, the cost was over $500 for the day. Harry Potter world is my favorite.
Great place to visit and have fun with. Tip: bring sunscreen or you'll burn alive. Each section of the park has amazingly detailed decor and you just want to take pictures of everything. The lines become long, especially with the popular attractions like the Hulk, so it could become frustrating for impatient people and kids. Unless you're willing to spend more for express pass.
Fun, but the idea of paying for a express pass upsets me, and the rides are all 3D style so get used to that. A couple fun coasters. Hulk and Harry Potter were awesome.
It's honestly the most fun for all ages. My little family and I go there all the time. There's something for every member of my family. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful at all times.
I have visited the resort now several times and it is refreshing to see how they are adding more and more each year. The parks are incredible and I could get lost in them for days. Be prepared to fork out the cash but I think it is well worth it.
Such a wonderful place to visit. So much to do and see. Even with long lines for rides, we enjoyed just walking around, enjoyed the shows, and had a bite or two at some of the eateries. Word to the wise: plan on spending some money. The items/food in the park is not cheap.
They really did a good job with social distance. The only complaint they have sensors on the bottom of there cups that does not allow refills unless you purchase the souvenir cup which allows refills every 10 minutes.
Took our daughter for her 8th birthday today! Lots of park employees wished her happy birthday, but Disney went out of their way last year to make an extra special day on her bday- where Universal didn't really do anything. Still a good day. Usual park business.
Features a lot of fun attractions, some bring you back to childhood others enthrall you with their creativity. No matter the age group there is something for everyone and it isnt nearly as difficult to maneuver as the mouse house.
Out of all the resorts I've been to this one is my favorite, and I've see a lot of different resorts. This was my fourth time coming here and we went to Islands of adventure and personally I think that's the best section. It has a little something for everyone. Way better than Disney!
Great place to visit for sure tons of restaurants and shops and the Hard Rock Live venue is definitely one of the best in Orlando. You don't have to go into the parks but you can if you wish. Don't forget to stop by the Chocolate Emporium it's a nice shop nicely dressed staff and.....chocolate covered bacon.
I love the parks. Lines are long so I cannot imagine the lines when there is no covid! My feet were killing me at the end of the day but it's fantastic to go and experience the rides. It would be nice if all rides had virtual lines so that all lines could be gotten into in a timely manner. It would be better if more than one virtual line could be scheduled as well.
It always nice coming here , Mack sure you go when it s not so busy so you can enjoy everything in there. And to avoid waiting in long lines I rust me it s gets boring and definitely give you self a full day to go around the place it so big and there is a lot to do but if you don t have the time you can t do it. Try there food it s tasty and you can go on the rides more than one time if you want but it will tack you longer if you have to wait in long lines. Try to go in day weeks and book your ticket online it s way easier
This was my first time here. I loved the parks and the imaginative rides. The simulators make you feel like you are really in the middle of the action! The kids enjoyed Harry Potter world (the fire breathing dragon on top of the bank is cool!) but my favorite part of the park was Jurassic Park. We really had a great time! Lot s of ways to get wet and cool off throughout the day and the park, and many good dining options.
EXCITED AND FUN - it never gets old coming here though it's been our fifth visit. There are always something different. When you get to Universal Studio, you should get prime/preferred parking which allows you to park closer to the entrance of you have small children. You also should purchase your tickets ahead of time so you do not have to wait in line wasting time . I bought my tickets ahead of time with Undercover Tourist and they mail the tickets to me free of charge. Please note that I'm not affiliate or benefit in any ways mentioning their name. You also need to have a strategy before you get there: which theme park to go first: Island of Adventure or Universal Studio. In both theme parks, I divide it in three categories: roller coaster rides for the brave hearts, rides for youngsters like Dr Seuss train, games & sightseeing, and food line. Average wait time for popular roller coaster is about 60 minutes and if you can afford it, purchase Universal Express tickets which gets you to your favorite rides faster. Average wait time rides for small kids and faint hearts is about 20 minutes. For food, you need to decide what you like to eat because it can cut into your budget and time waiting in food lines. If you have a small child, you should bring a stroller where the child can sleep and you can bring snacks and water. I would recommend you bring a stroller any way with younger or not so you can bring your jackets, your favorite snacks and drinks so you don't waste time and money buying expensive food and drink. A slice of pizza will cost you $15, a bottle of water costs you $5. I recommend you buy a 2 days pass: one theme park a day.
First day here and it is hectic but you just have to take it one step at a time. My hotel is really great and the staff is friendly. Definitely recommend coming in the off season, since there are still many people here. I got in mid afternoon, so I haven't experienced a full day yet. I suggest calling to make your plans. I knew exactly what I wanted to see here, so having a plan is good especially if you have a limited time here. If I get the opportunity, I will update review.
Had blast there love all shops and food the Betty boo lady was so nice she took the time talk to all us and to take pictures with her I felted like a kid again every one there was very friendly would go back again
From my point of view, this park and the island of the adventure have a perfect combination where this one has a lot of attractions like the Simpsons, Fast and Furious, Harry Potter, etc. It doesn't matter if you're a kid or an adult, this park has fun for all the ages.
Paid extra for a early admission pass into Halloween horror nights and was turned away the second time trying to use it. When I originally paid for the ticket no where on the contract did it say that it was for single night use only. It even says in all capes 1 guest per ticket for ALL NIGHTS not one night ALL NIGHTS I m confused when I m turned away at the gate and the workers where really understanding and helpful up until I got to guest services, the man that I was trying to explain my confusion too says to me okay so what do you want me to do about it idk that s why I m here at guest services. Kinda disappointed.
Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley are so real! You can't miss Hagrids magical creatures motorbike adventure! These are the highlights of my visit, but all the other attractions and rides are just as good and Interesting!
We had a BALL at Both Umiversal Studios and Islands of Adventure. If You've never been... put it on your bucket list. We loved The Hulk! King Kong and Transformers.
my daughter has a hidden disability that impacts on her greatly. The staff member we spoke to at guest services just dismissed this, or didn't believe us. She said if you need to leave a queue tell a member of staff and they'll sort it for you. On one ride we didn't see a member of staff for 20 mins, this could have caused extreme distress. I don't think Universal Studios is disability friendly to those with hidden issues. The price we paid for entry for 4 adults and then this is disgusting!!
Had a great time...kids did too. Didn't think the food was too good but the overall experience was great. We were named family for the day and received special admission to a ride..didn't seem like a big deal until we went to the harry potter exhibit and realized with out the perk it would have taken MUCH longer....great time
We had a blast walking and exploring the park. As you'd expect, everything is pricey, but the quality is worth it. We love that there are places in most sections that serve alcohol. Kids always have a blast!
What an amazing place to visit! I have never been disappointed with my trips to Universal. I am impressed by the experiences they create in the many different worlds they have to offer. The wizarding world of Harry Potter is the best amusement bar none. The only downside is the rising ticket costs can put a strain on the budget.
I lost my ticket while I was in Universal's islands. So it caused a problem to get a new one, we had to wait in guest service line, we had to go back to the entrance, then there was another problem, so we had to go back to the guest service, then they needed pictures of all tickets we purchased that day... We lost like 30 minutes just to get in
Ight I don't usually give 5s but this is the exception I've loved universal since I was a kid and to go on a "rainy" day was the best decision of my life. We didn't have to wait more than 15 minutes for a ride!! That's insane when I went to Disney we had to wait like an hour and that was just for the teacups.
The Harry Potter World alone is worth the price of admission. I also really enjoyed the music roller coaster, the Hulk, and the Mummy ride. Dueling Dragons Roller Coaster is really fun too, also in the Harry Potter World, and I've heard that is going to get changed up in September 2017.
I went here in January and it's my favorite theme park. Lots of diverse ride but personally I liked the roller coasters the most. The Hulk roller coaster and Hagrids Motorbike Adventure were really exciting. The express pass is expensive but worth it. The convenient food inside the park is overpriced as expected.
The rides were mostly simulation rides, so although I'm not prone to motion sickness I left there feeling ill. It was overly priced for what it offered, still fun, but it didn't feel like a "complete" experience like you get at Disney. The staff seemed bored and though they were dressed in character, they did not act in character. We had four day tickets and decided to just do both parks in one day - an easy feat even going on most rides and seeing a few shows.
My husband and I go here quite often and we just always have the best time! It s not only fun for kids but for adults as well! It s one of our top vacations that we keep going back too, that s how much we enjoy going. Highly recommend going and checking everything out. Staying at an on-site hotel is the best as well because you will always have a shuttle to the park.
