Buying a car can be a daunting experience since it is something you have to commit for quite some time. That is why I will be forever grateful for my salesman Jonathan Weidner. I met him in 2017 when I went to buy my first car off the dealership, he made the process so easy and made sure I get the best deals and perks. The car checked off all that I was looking for and never gave me any problem. As time goes by, I decide to upgrade my car to an SUV and texted him about my idea and he got right into looking for the best one on the market. He never gave up even though I was giving him a hard time of what I was looking for. He once again checked off all the item I was looking for in an SUV and got me the best deals. This is what great customer service is all about, caring about your customers like they are family. So, thank you once again Jonathan for your great service.

Disappointing experience. Bought a car. Before I did this mistake, I looked for it online while in the dealership negotiating and I was surprised not to see it on Universal Hyundai website while I was there. I kept asking off the used listed sticker price of $11,999 they had. They didn't lower but supposedly gave discount to my wife for buying a car there previously and $ off for a cheap trade in I had. ($10,700 total) Saw it online advertised for less once it was sold to us (even with discount and trade in) at $9,995. Notice the picture says "sold" and it was more than $9,995. In other words, I feel like I was price gouged in a way. I think that's dishonest practice if you cannot go by your advertised price (which was all over when I discovered it) and it may even be illegal to do in some states. They are still trying to finance this vehicle (Bank asking for documents) so I will mention it to my sales person. I will continue to share with family and friends. Lessons learned. I have attached images for proof but covered vin number. I have it with vin too but did not post. Can find great deals here but just be super careful because honesty is hard to find these days and don't pay MSRP/List prices no matter what they say.

Extremely disappointed with the Treatment I received. They took a deposit on a vehicle, turned around and sold it to someone else. On hold for over 2 hours asking for a manager and just left on hold. I would call back, they would pick up and hang up, or pick up and transfer to a voicemail that was full. I finally got through to someone who identified themselves as a manager and it went nowhere. He told me that upper management wasn t available, even though the recording that you listen to when you re on hold says that they are always available and Customers are very important to them. I ve purchased 3 new Vehicles from this location, but never again. They do not standby or back what they promise.

Well our driver s side brake light is out for the fourth time and we keep going back there to fix it. Seems like the repair men don t want to fix the main problem so they keep dragging us back for the issue. It makes driving my vehicle an anxious experience thinking that police will pull me over any minute or people in the parking lot and at the traffic light keep bothering me saying it s out.
We did not going looking to buy, we were waiting for another Genesis. But Justin S. Showed us the Sonata Limited and we were hooked. He is respectful, knowledgeable, and professional and for that, he gained our respect and trust. We don t live in the area but when we go to another Genesis, we ll be back! Brought my daughter a vehicle and Anthony was our consultant. He was great at first so we brought the car. Now it has been just over one month and still no title. I have reached out to Anthony several times and unfortunately he promises to find more information but never responds back. I am constantly tracking him down and still nothing. Now I have left a voicemail with Liz who apparently is their title agent. This was yesterday. Let's see if she replies // 07/23 (Update) - Received title. Apparently the mailman misdelivered it to the wrong box but a good neighbor left it by my front door. I always use my garage to come in and out of my house so it has been sitting there for the last week and a half. luckily my mother-in-law came today and knock on the door and then had it in her hand saying that it was just sitting there. Glad I have it now, but I still do not like the back end customer service that I received from several people at the dealership including the receptionist. Many times she knew I was calling and just immediately transfer the call to a voicemail or put me on hold without even saying hello to avoid talking to me.

Employees not honest, said yes to everybody then gets behind the excuse that they can't control what the bank says. I explained clearly my son has been working for only 3 months and he has new credit. They said yes and first they were able to get an approval which my son signed. Next day the came with the story that the bank was conditioning the approval if we get all the extended warranties they offer and the interest rate went up by 3%. Super unprofessional and they didn't even offer an apology. Never again with these cold blooded sales people.

This is my second time purchasing from the dealership , my first car was financed with luis many many years ago who was a great salesman, he was kind and professional, my second car was paid for out right because the price was discounted and just right. I'm more in love with my new purchases ,my sales Consultant was Eliab Sterling he was also kind, professional, informative and he went above and beyond of what I did not expect. I also was gifted a 25 dollar gift card for my test drive, I did not have that privilege with my first purchase. To be honest the car is too much car for me,but just right. I feel like a celebrity ridding around in it , my old baby was black pearl my new baby is Empress Royale. Its definitely a early birthday gift for being awesome for 35 years. Oh .... also great Thanks to the manager who drafted up the deal, for my final offering price. The card eventually had to go so why not sale it to someone who was willing and able to buy it as is.

This is the third vehicle I have purchased from Universal Hyundai since 2011. They have always made the process as easy as buying a car can be. We have returned to Universal because they have given us the best price (this time after comparison to what was offered by two other dealers).
Three weeks post-purchase I returned to sell the car I would have traded had I had it at the time. I'd been assured that it would be a simple process. I had even mentioned that my son was the car's owner but I was the lien holder. No problem I was told; I could release the lien at the time of the sale. My son and I gave the person who met us all the paperwork and then sat for 4 HOURS while people came and went - stopping to assure us of the progress. After 4 HOURS we were informed that they couldn't buy the car because the state DMV was still showing the lien (even though I'd sent in paperwork to release it 3 weeks prior). No apologies. No sympathy. No reason why it took 4 HOURS to come to the conclusion. We were 'seen' by multiple people over the course of time with no indication of a problem. I'm in a service business and would be out of business if I couldn't either solve a problem quickly or inform the client in a timely manner that I couldn't solve the problem. Sorry, but I won't be coming back.
After having such a bad experience on another dealer near by, I decided to go and visit Alexandra Martinez which was recommended by my own dad, and WOW I have to say, if you are looking for someone HONEST, willing to go the extra mile for a client, you really need to ask for Alexandra Martinez, not only I got the car that I wanted, she helped me accomplish getting my daughter her first car. So thankful Alexandra Martinez for showing HONESTY and not treating like a dollar sign, if not someone that cares.

I m taking my service to another place. The business practice of this dealership need a lot of improvement. This the 3rd and last time doing business here. The first time took me 2 hours to do a regular oil change.
Once the car is turned in, is when they advice you the time it may take, you are stuck if you are waiting for your car.
Second time, took me about 1 hour to check if the car was affected on a recall. After looking my car parked in a corner all this time, I called the service agent s attention and he told me that my car was not affected by the recall and I was free to go, was then, when he returned the keys. If I don t call him. I would be there still waiting.
Yesterday, I called to set an appointment for a simple oil change in my Santa Fe. To my surprise, I got an spot opened for today Monday, March 22nd, at 2:45 pm. Again, after the car was turned in, I was told that there are delays to get the car service, I have to request the car back to me at 5:20 pm unserviced after calling the Service manager and complaint about all this situation. What was I told ? That they are understaffed and the call center that sets the appointment does not know about that, period.
I went to get an oil change on my car and I was also looking to see what other model of cars they had to suit myself and my family better. I was greeted immediately and treated very nice I was given a lot of information on the best way to trade in my vehicle in order to get another vehicle that better suits my family. I had Jonathan and Carlos both helping me out with the sale. They had made the best team. They worked very quickly and efficiently and helped me get the best deal and also the best vehicle for myself and my family. So I ended up getting into a better loan at a better rate and a better vehicle that was perfect for myself and my little one. I can t thank Jonathan and Carlos enough for the way they were so helpful and kind. 10/10 would go again and recommend both of them to anyone looking to get a car perfect for you and your needs.

Our car has been broken for a while and we called the service then towed the car to this Hyundai service. Everything was great they took care of us very well and told us they call us in two days. After two days we did not receive a call so for 5 days we have tried to reach service assistant but we couldn't. After that we have called customer service to get information about the car we explained all the situation. They told us that they are gonna call us back so we waited for another day. But we did not received the call again. We visited there, they told us our service assistant is on vacation which we didn't informed about and they said they are gonna check the car and call us a day later. Guess what they did not call us again for another 2 days. We reached them again today and they just said they are going to check the car today and give us a call back 4 days later! We have been waiting for more than a week now and we need to know the situation to rent a car or are you gonna provide us a rental car as you offered in the beginning. You need a car for you daily needs here in Orlando. My brother and I are students here and because of Covid19 and the situation we are in we need to fit in a budget. But right now because of the blank in information we can not figure out how to manage that.
I ve been shopping around for a new car for awhile, not sure what I wanted but keeping my options open. My boyfriend recently bought a brand new 2021 from Universal Hyundai. I had driven a used Santa Fe earlier in the day and liked it, though it was missing a few things, so he brought me to this dealership to look at the Santa Fe. I had a Kia Soul and was looking for something much bigger. He bought his car from Jason S. and Frankie. Upon entering the dealership we were greeted by Jason, and I immediately liked him, he was very welcoming, friendly and down to earth. Not the typical car salesman. I told him what I was looking for and what I expected in a car payment, and he was great with being there for me and trying to get exactly what I was looking for and wanted. I test drove the 2020 Santa Fe and really liked it, so we began the process, the first guy to help with the financing, I didn t get a name, but I was NOT a fan and he was horrible. Basically telling me it was impossible to get what I wanted with my budget and just not friendly. We got up to walk out and Frankie, who had assisted my boyfriend in his buying process, stepped in. He asked me what it would take for me to buy the car, and let me tell you, he made it happen!!! I was overall very impressed with this dealership, but would only want to deal with Jason and Frankie. If it weren t for them being so great I would not be leaving a 5 star review just because of the first guy we dealt with before Frankie stepped in. Jon in the finance department was great as well when it came time to sign the paperwork. And communicated clearly what everything was clearly before signing.
Chris was very helpful and truly wanted to help. He made buying a car easy, and he knew what he was doing. I d recommend his service to anyone looking to buy a new car.
I failed to mention in my review, that I purchased a GV 80, not the 90. This vehicle is the quietest and most comfortable ride I ve ever had, it has so many safety features, that I feel completely safe, behind the wheel. It has made my driving a pleasure. I bought a 2016 Hyundai from OffLease. Best car ever! I needed an oil change so I went here. I spent FIVE hours waiting to see if my warranty covered the oil change. Yes, I got there early at 11:30 AM and left at 4:45 PM. FIVE hours! And in ALL that time, all they did was try to get me to buy a brand new 2019 car. Keep in mind I bought this car five days before coming here for the oil change, it was brand new, I already went through the whole financing process to get this car, I didn t COME THERE FOR ANOTHER ONE. I kept insisting that that s not what I was there for, but they kept pushing it on me. By the fourth hour I had 3 to 4 men talking to me about financing for a new car and to just give it a chance. I was completely frustrated and irritated I had wasted my entire day there just to hear the oil change couldn t be done on my car. I won t ever be going back here and I ll just stick to Napleton Jeep Dodge for all my car needs. These people will try to abuse you and take advantage of you the second they can and the second you say no, they act like they never knew you.

I came in Sunday 3/29 searching for a particular car. White or silver elantra. New or very low miles. Pablo z. Greeted us and listened to what i was searching for, never pushed. My specifications were a little hard to find. Found a few options then he drove us to the lot in back. After several passes, he found the model and color and interior. We test drove, great car. Wasn't quite ready to commit, still wanted to test another brand. His manager i believe Jacob, searched to inventory of both dealers. He found the year and model of the other brand i wanted to test. Nothing like a side by side comparison. Test drove also. We went inside to talk numbers. My spouse and I talked and Jacob came back with some great numbers. Pablo Z and Jacob made the deal, no high pressure, great patience. Robert in finance was awesome. Great team.

Went to universal Hyundai on Monday (01/06/2020) after I got into an accident and my car was claimed total loss. All the staff there are super friendly and make you feel like you are apart of their family and not trying to push a sale on you. I went in and Gillette and Johnathan were my sales people and helped me find the right car for my needs and an amazing price. He helped me to understand a lot of things that went into what type of vehicle I was looking for and ultimately helped me buy my 2019 Hyundai Sonata. I am very excited to be apart of the Hyundai family and look forward to being back there for future cars that I may need/ for any friends or family.
Great experience overall. Everyone was very nice, and we got it done. Raul Martinez was very nice, patient, and worked wit( me well. If anyone wonders why not 5 stars...I HATE sales games, and only once was it attempted (stating during negotiations that others were coming in soon to test the same vehicle that I was trying to purchase). I called him out, and from there forward, it was great!
I hesitated to write this review, waiting to see if they wanted to renew my faith in this dealership. It did not happen so here we are. I was with my daughter when she brought in her Kona for a service under warranty. We waited just under 10 minutes before we were acknowledged. Once that happened, we were told our service advisor, Rhoda, would be right with us. That took another 5 minutes. When she approached the car, she asked for our name and did we have an appointment. I told her yes we have a 2:00pm appointment. She then asked us if we made sure the part was in stock. I said no, we called and told them what was wrong and they said make an appointment, so we did. So who checks to see if the pet is in stock when you don t actually know the parts needed? Rhoda then checked to see if the part was in stock. The then came back and asked for a description of the part, which I told her. She left again and when she came back, said the part was in stock. She then inferred that it might not get done that day because it was a 3.5 hour job. I said well we do have an appointment. She then said well we are backed up and more customers are coming in. That is not my problem. She said we may have to leave the car overnight. I said fine, we can do that if necessary. The car was finished at 5:00pm. We picked up the car and were on our way. There are several things wrong here. She should be the one to look up parts and tell us if they are in stock. She should not ask the customer to do that. She also should have said we will do our very best to get it done today instead saying it might not get done. Her attitude was so negative that I will make sure that when I go back again for service, I will make sure she is not my advisor. On another note, I got an email from customer service stating they were unsuccessful in contacting me. It was totally a form letter. They did not try to call or text or email me. With a customer complaint, they should do their due diligence and get in contact with the customer. They failed in that respect as well. On this occasion, two stars is more than generous. As there was failure on the service front and the recovery front.
My experience here at Universal Hyundai is great and always been great. I cant complain after buying several cars over the years im happy with the service they always provided. Today Justin S. and Diannette C. came through and got me and family a brand new SUV. Thank you guys for meeting my family s necessity.

They returned my messages even after hours (which I d never expect of anyone) and they even delivered my new car to me. Universal Hyundai sent me a text/email, of which I replied to both. The salesmen at Universal Hyundai are nothing short of scam artists. After selling my family a car with a chip on the passenger s side door handle back in November, salesman Alexis has shown his true colors as a modern day grifter. I was led on and falsely promised to have the chip repaired at no cost. For months I have called, left voice messages, and even personally come in to the dealership on several occasions (mind you, it s at least a 40 minute drive from where I live) in hopes of having my promise fulfilled, only to be brushed off and turned away. I have been provided a false personal phone number from Alexis and I have been assured to receive a call back numerous times to no avail. At this dealership their facetious regard for customer satisfaction goes out the door the second a contract is signed. If you re looking to buy a car: you re better off making a deal with the devil.

I went to Universal Hyundai a couple days ago with the mindset of only getting information and quotes, nothing else. I went there and Dave Lembke took me in and showed me around; we were looking for the car I saw online but we couldn t find it. He made sure to show me other options until we saw this Elantra GT. I fell in love with this car. He found the perfect car for me, a full time student and employee, not a lot of budget and made everything possible for me to take the car home that same day.
