I have worked for Maxus Properties for a year and a half now this is a great place to work.I tell the future employees that I hire that they don't know it yet but they just won the job Lottrey, and I mean it . This company really cares for there employees with, parties, awards, bonuses, I feel they go above and beyond to make you a happy employee.

Maxus properties is fantastic to do business with. I have been in a business relationship throughout my 34 year career and the one thing I have to say, is the team at Maxus is very professional. I appreciate the support team, Management Team and the folks in the Regional Positions always being quick to respond and challenging me to answer tough questions. The communities managed are everywhere, and the folks I have had the pleasure to work with have always been fantastic! Maxus is a 5 Star company.

Minority being kicked out of their jefferson park facility. I pay rent on time for past1.5 years. They made a lot of money off me considering I had super old appliances. Lighting fixtures. Floors and carpet. The office lied to me a few months back saying there was a chance I can be upgraded to better appliances and got to a point my rent was 790 with all their bogus fees that one is insect but they only come out once a quarter unless you request.which why am I requesting if your taking my money. There was loud noises with what I believe was their plumbing that kept me awake for over a month until they finally fixed it. No security access or cameras so if your car is vandalised like mine was good luck with trying to determine if it happened inn the property and by who. Pool is filthy. Gym faculty is tiny and not even enough for a good workout. Ive heard several stories of being harassed and threatened to be kicked out.

I absolutely love working for Maxus. I made a career change last November to come work for Maxus from a large retailer. From day one I knew I made the right decision. My team welcomed me with open arms as well as my regional managers. I have since progressed in my field with classes paid by Maxus as well as on the job training. I have nothing but complements to say about this wonderful company. I highly recommend this as a place of employment.

When I moved out of their apartments in Lenexa due to needing to move home to help my family and my time there not being pleasant, they marked on my sheet that I was having money problems which was completely false and NEVER mentioned as a reason for moving out. I assume saying someone is moving due to money problems helps them instead of saying I just didn't want to reside in their apartments any longer. My whole time there I had trouble with them. Over priced apartments a for such a small, quick fixed place with terrible communication. Only plus is the location.

Me and my wife leased an apartment through this company. They are awful. The apartments were in terrible condition and rent was extremely expensive. After we moved out being there a year they sent us a BS final bill in the mail over $1300 dollars we had to pay or they threatened to send it to collections. Me having good credit I paid it to get them off my back. Their properties are of poor quality and they will rip you off. We will never recommend them or do business with them again. They are criminals, making us pay a large fee after move out, when we never did anything wrong.

Evidently they can't afford a light bill so now the residents have to foot it. "The lighting upgrade will only add $6 a month to your bill each month. We understand an increase of any amount can be frustrating. We do believe these lights are necessary to increase lighting at night for our residents. " - FYI It increased over $20 this month alone, after conservation efforts!!

I just called the office to file a complaint with one of their properties in Lithonia, GA, I was told you had to put it writing first, email or fax to them, they will investigate and get back with you. My problem is no one every answer the phone when you call the office. My AIR has been out since Tuesday, today is Wednesday, the temp today will be 88 degrees. All I can do is leave a message, I can't get to the office, I don't have a car. Where is the staff???

They won't even take care of basic needs and health and safety for yourself and your children nor maintain sanitary conditions and things in working order! They will take your money and not hold up their end of the deal. Take it from me, don't get raped by this place because they are con artists and theives that are full of lies! Then my boyfriend car got broken into and they did nothing about it and then this morning somebody broke his windshield in the parking lot and they told me they couldn't do a damn thing because they don't know who I pissed off!

We are extremely unsatisfied with our experience at Park Edge Apartments (a Maxus property). We lived there for 6 years and would have recommended it without wavering for the first few years. However, we would not recommend it to anyone now. Our apartment flooded not once, not twice, but THREE times. From a washer in the apartment above us breaking and overflowing into our apartment to a pipe bursting and flooding our apartment, none were our fault. After the first flood they fixed things and left a light fixture half filled with water (a safety hazard). This last flood was the worst, damaging our belongings... but the worst part is, some of the damage was likely caused by the people trying to renovate the apartment. Huge scratches in our belongings that weren t there previously... shoe prints on top of our wooden dining room chairs to name a few... this is unprofessional and uncaring at best. These are things we worked hard to provide for our family or were gifted to us and the lack of care for our belongings was extremely disappointing. The entire time Park Edge was hard to reach at best (even during regular office hours) and our calls were RARELY returned. Even though our apartment was uninhabitable for a month and a half + (and flooded 3 times in less than a year) we were still required to pay rent and pay to break our lease. We sent an email to Maxus properties but have yet to hear back. I would not recommend living in an apartment owned by Maxus properties to anyone.

We have worked with Maxus Properties for 4 years now. Maxus is one of the best commercial real estate companies to work for. We do landscape maintenance for several companies is the central AR area and Maxus is at the top. Debbie and Adrian are great people to work with that truly care about the condition of there properties. Communication is awesome and we never have issues with getting paid. There managers and maintenance teams on each site are always courteous and professional. Each location promotes a clean and safe habitat and our teams love working on these locations compared to others that we do.

This Stacey Burlington is a peasant who doesn't work or answer important messages or calls! Absolutely horrible! Stacey doesn't answer the phone EVER, been waiting a week now to pay my last months rent since I have moved due to this company's neglect to it's customers and all it's managed companies. Staff for sub companies have no people skills and just want your wallet or to send you off to collections even when you have paid your rent on time every time. The property manger was just like this Stacey, never around when you need something, but quick to charge you for anything and everything. I'm also not surprised to see so many comments here about Stacey Burlington. I am not sure I've ever dealt with a more unprofessional and flat out rude person in my life. As a reviewer below also stated, she claims she runs the company when you ask to speak to a superior. Whoever is actually in charge needs to get her in line because she will drive people away in droves.

Waterford Place at Mount Zion in Stockbridge, Ga (a property owned by Maxus) is the worse I have ever encountered. The property description says luxury but the units are beyond quality and no where near luxury. The property is run down, not managed properly/professional and is just a waste of hard earned money. Due to COVID 19 my husband was told a physical walk through was not permitted. Had he gotten the chance to see the unit verses a video he would have never given them his hard earned money to stay in these conditions.

Rioting started in St. Louis this morning and the on-site property manager was proactive to get the building boarded up for the residences protection and safety. But then corporate made the "decision" to remove all boards from windows of the Bogen lofts. Of course it's easy to make such a decision when your safety and valuables aren't at stake. I understand nothing may happen with the riots and I sincerely hope it stays peaceful. But JUST as in a potentially impending hurricane, you board up and protect yourself JUST IN CASE. Unless you live on property, you should NOT be allowed to make decision about OUR safety. I am very disappointed in such poor management and blatant disregard for anyone but themselves. I contacted corporate personally and was told the ONLY way I could talk to the regional property manager who made this decision was by mail. Ummm, what?! RIDICULOUS. This is 2017. From what I found on your website, Annette is the property manager for the St. Louis region. Does Ms. Annette not believe in phones or emails? That sounds like an insane policy for a property management company. Especially when she's making decisions on my livelihood. The protest has officially been labeled as no longer peaceful and Maxus is not available to contact. As I said, DO NOT LIVE HERE. On-site management is wonderful but they have to take orders from corporate and corporate does not care about you, your valuables, or your safety.

Worse people I have ever dealt with in my life! They are all full of lies and refuse to help their tenants resolve issues that they created. I did not have heat for 2 months during the winter and they did not think it was a big deal. Their receptionist Emily hung up the phone on me and the regional manager Sheri refused to talk to me on the phone she would only speak to me if I mailed a letter. They use their "company policies" as excuses to do nothing. I am not sure how they are even in business the way they treat people. If I could give them a negative rating I would do so because everything about this company is terrible. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.

All of these events have been family-friendly, which is the motto of Maxus "Family First". They have also been huge supporters of Cristo Rey for years. They do business in a first-class way.

Maxus properties is the worst company Do not rent with them. We spent 24 hours back and forth with the villages of bogey hills(St.Charles, MO) and Stacy Burlington(corporate) trying to clear up a payment debt that was clearly Maxus properties fault due to saying we never paid when we had proof(email) that clearly started they received our payment and that the balance was paid in full. The main issue is Stacy stated she never received the payment and she was the one who sent out the email saying thank you and the payment was received. So a month later due to the payment being credited to another account they wanted us to repay our balance without even actually researching to see if they had a mistake on their end which they did, because we later received an email from Stacy saying they found our money order And the apology was so vague and uncaring after all we had went through. This was so so stressful!

The people who run this place don't care about their tenants, they don't care about anything but making money off you. While giving you a half completed apartment. They harass you and god forbid you go to the hospital ever because they will tow your car that some how got a flat while you were having an operation done. They've held me from resigning my lease giving me hardly a month to find a new one during a pandemic and unemployed. I found that I owed $100.00 for a move out fee, so I went in to the local office and paid my past due balance.
Having the payment forwarded to corporate I spoke with Stacey (a recovery specialist) which is where the mess hit the fan.
Her phone etiquette left much to be desired, sharp tone, interrupting while I tried to explain what I needed and when I asked if someone else could help me she lied and said "She was the head" in that department.
Never once did I hear thank you for your payment she was sarcastic and flat out unprofessional.
I see why this company has so many bad reviews their customer service skills need massive improvement.
Even with speaking to Kathy I was told "Maxus doesn't work for the Post Office so whenever they get it, is when I will get it..."I don't know if either of them will forward proof of my payment over as I had requested.
Upper management jobs should be reserved for people who can control their personal attitudes and serve the public.

They even tried to tow my perfectly legal car because it looked tacky . When you think maxus just think money hungry snobs. Don t recommend any of their properties.

Ive been staying at Rosehill Pointe for 3 years and had awesome sevice and maintenance request completed within one to two days. I dont know whats changed but its been over a week and still the big chip in my sink hasnt been addressed nor has the particle board shelves in my cabinets that is old and falling apart and the flickering light in the breezeway outside my apt door. Went to the new property manager 2 times and her comment to me both times is that they are upgrading the washer and dryer hookups and they will get to it when they can. You don't tell a resident that especially one that is never late on their rent and pays ahead of time on their rent. I will definitely not be renewing or reccomend this place.

I lived at Pinnacle Woods Apartments in Lawrence Kansas and had the best experience! They catered to my large dogs, I moved into a clean and spacious apartment, and their staff and maintenance was so responsive and nice. If it weren't for moving into a house, I would not live anywhere else!

Apparently this company thinks it's acceptable to rack up an electric bill in a prior tenants name because that person forgot to have it shut off. Then proceed to cuss at said former tenant and call them lazy and irresponsible for forgetting. Then say it's perfectly acceptable for theme to basically steal money from a tenant who forgot. Zero stars if I could. Please work on your customer service skills. I know you are probably fat and ugly but seriously girl try to find some joy in life other than laughing at people you don't even know.

Deserves 0 stars. They re the worst to rent from. We had mold in our apartments air ducts, and they refuse to take care of the problem, they sprayed kiltz sealant paint over it and it was back in no time. When we asked to move into a different apartment they wanted $500 on top of that months rent.
I ended up in the doctors office and rushed to the hospital several times, due to the mold with my allergies, and asthma. &Due to that it caused me to miss work, which got me discharged for missing too many days. I didn t have a job from being sick so badly that rent couldn t be paid for.. since I was out of a job so we decided to break the lease which I loved back with my parents cause I didn t have money coming in. And stated we were moving for work because I couldn t pay to be there in the mean time to find work.
Once we could and decided to break the lease, they decided that they wanted to charge us another 1,500.00+ to break the lease. Only after having a couple conversations with the apartments assistant manager about breaking the lease before and within the 60 days notice they require of me telling them. They were fully aware and never sent me a break of the lease to sign until I messaged her once again about it. Then they wouldn t include my other days of notice with the 60 days. So they charged more.. even After all the problems we put up with by staying with them.
Then we went directly to Maxus Properties, and they refused to drop any of the charges after being fully informed on all of the reasons and things we ve had to deal with being there. And threatened to turn us over to collections if we didn t pay it by a certain day.

We have had a working relationship doing construction/remodeling/repairs for Maxus Properties for over 20+ years throughout their locations in the St. Louis market.
They have always tried to do the right thing and repair things properly. That says a lot in the property management industry. I would highly recommend.

I lived in Foothills Apartments of North Little Rock, AR which is managed by this company. If you have good credit and can afford a home (in Arkansas that is). Do NOT rent at Foothills. We paid $22K for two years. Buy a home instead. Do not invest in this company s property!

The Barrington Hills Apartments in Little Rock, AR go out of their way to steal money from residents, don't fix maintenance requests, don't open the laundry rooms on time, and are generally very poorly managed. I won't be renting from any of Maxus' properties in the future. Awful all around.

Dog urine in the elevators, dogs barking and parties all hours of the night and neighbor threatening my girlfriend and 1 year old son. Those are the experience we had in our year living in Cold Storage Lofts.

The Lofts were nice at first, and the front staff was friendly. But then our upstairs neighbor had a dog that literally barked from 7am until 3am most days. I tried to be patient with the staff, realizing their limited ability to deal with the situation, but after 4 months of little sleep, and generally not being able to enjoy my time at home I would check back to see what could be done, to find out that the staff had failed to make note, or communicated with each other, or even really tried to adress the situation. Then my girlfriend and 1 year old son were threatened by an intoxicated resident on the 7th floor at which time I reported the incident to the staff, and later checked back to find out there was no notations of the incident and no one else was made aware of a threatening individual living there. All of this on top of the loud parties, constant dog urination in the elevators and hallways, we were finally forced to move. At this time the management elected to retain our entire deposit for repainting a small office room when the rest of the loft was well cleaned and with no damage. I left numerous messages with Ben the manager and never received a response. The communication is pretty terrible and the management doesn't take the safety or well-being of the residents seriously.

Called Maxus Properties to get further assistance, since the manager at Cold Storage Lofts wouldn't return my call and they just gave me an email address, but said they could do anything to help further.

I'll never rent from these thieves, again! Not only do they hire individuals that will TRY to steal your money, the home office has a complete lack of communication skills. One star is still too good to describe them.

The reason I said try is because I actually read and pay attention to my charges. If not, they will get over. And it really doesn't matter how good of a tenant you are and it especially doesn't matter if you've never been late on payments. I could go on and on and if you want more information, I'll give it to you but in short, STAY AWAY.

They do not hold their apartment managers accountable. I have an issue with my current apartment office staff and they have neglected to call me back. I guess verbal assault is low on their priority list.

I feel like this management company only cares about their money. We have been tenants in our building for 5 years now and are wanting out due to lack of them caring much about their tenants. The non-smoking building that I live in constantly smells like smoke and their way of fixing it is to hang paper signs all over in the hallways. There is also half naked pool parties until 3 in the morning with no regards of other tenants. People smoking joints and cigs at the pool and in social area, again supposed to be non-smoking. This happened a few times this summer! I can t bring friends or family over due to embarrassment! They are constantly telling tenants it isn t their job to police the building and we need to call security! If, and only if security answers, they won t do anything! They tote about having the least crime, but with a security and management team that refuse to do anything nothing gets turned in!! I live in Roasters Block in KC!

I've had the privilege to work for Maxus for 4 years now. I came in to my position as manager a year prior to my property transitioning in to Maxus. The Maxus family made us feel extremely welcomed and as if we've always had been a part of their family. No matter how many states away you are, there is an entire team behind you and just an easy phone call away. They make sure to show you how much you are appreciated. Stacey Burlington should be avoided at all costs, unless you think being laughed at, ignored, and bullied by a so called "professional" is acceptable. How this woman is employed at all is a mystery. Maxus is one of the worst rental companies I've ever dealt with. Save yourself a headache and rent elsewhere.

I moved here in 11/2017 and at the time management was top notch and you were proud to say it was home. Since moving here it has changed manager of the complex three times and declining with ever step. The current manager is not giving the complex the attention it needs and in turn residents want out!! We have staircases deteriorating and all they do is put caution tape around it. We have areas washed out at the end of a breezeway with jagged rock / broken brick / broken concrete to walk over and through to take your pet out to do their business. Time to NOT to renew. Giving City Center a bad scar and next to $5000 a month apts

I have worked for Maxus Properties for going on 7 years. They are by far the best company I have ever worked for. I started as a part time leasing agent and I have made my way up to a property manager position in my time with Maxus. I would highly recommend someone to work for this company! I have also lived on Maxus Properties and if I were to ever live in apartment again I would choose to live on Maxus over all other property management companies.

Please do not rent with this company! I recently moved from Waterford Place Apartments at Mt. Zion located in Stockbridge, Ga and am very displeased with the way we were overcharged for behind water payments which were taken from our security deposit. The leasing agent claims that we were charged for the 1st and last month water bill which is untrue. Maxus Properties has failed to reach out to me directly and when I call, I always reach a representative's voicemail. I am sure that they do this to all of their tenants. Save your time and your money!

Have lived at two of their properties. They have absolutely zero customer service, and they try to squeeze every penny out of their tenants. I have made serveral attempts to contact them, both by writing and phone, and have never received any response at all from management regarding my concerns.

Do yourself a favor, avoid living at the Bicycle Club like the plague!! First they accuse you of doing drugs because they "smelled" marijuana. Even though we are at jobs that randomly pop us for drug tests. Parking around here is a nightmare!! They build a ton of car ports and rent them out for $25 a month; they all sit empty except for a few. So trying to park in front of the building is impossible and you are forced to park in the street far from your front door!! Plus they make you register your dog so if you dont clean up after them they will send you a fine. Which isn't bad so this place isn't disgusting, however you still have the people who do not register their dog and don't clean up after them. The one good thing about this place is Phil the maintenance supervisor. He gets things done the right way the first time. He tries his best to get things done as quick as he can. The managers do their best to up hold corporate policies while trying to make residents happy. Let's just say I move out in 264 days!!!!

being a team player is the name of the game! Home office is very supportive, informative and passionate to the well-being of their
residents and employees. Overall, Great Company To Work For - Enjoy!

Hirable , They refused to invest into their properties, fixing or replacement of much needed Items that is worn out .The maintenance is a joke They will tell you anything to get you into a contract and take your money. When I attempted to reach out to Maxus s regarding my issues, I was hung up on repeatedly.. I have been experiencing the same problems for the 7 months that I have been paying them rent for. . Some of these issues are hazardous to our health. This wouldn t allow my to post unless I added a star . The property is called Centennial Park lactated in Overland Park owned by Maxus
