I know USF is a wholesale lender so they can offer rates well below other companies out there. If you are looking for an extremely good interest rate whether you are refinancing or purchasing a new home, this company will take care of you (VA, FHA, or Conventional). I think a lot of the reviews on here are really directed at their former servicer, but now that they have switched to Lender Live I am extremely happy. Family and friends were amazed at the interest rate we were able to get with this company and how stress-free the whole process was for us.
My experience has been TERRIBLE!! The loan was completed in mid December and I was instructed to pay the January payment to USFC. I did as instructed, and my check cleared my bank on 7 Jan 2016. I was then advised that LenderLive would be servicing my loan and was given information for this company. I paid my Feb payment to them but kept getting notices that my account was 2 months behind. After SEVERAL calls to LenderLive, they finally "found" my Feb payment but continued to send threatening letters because they claim I am still a month behind. They continue to tell me that USFC sent them the loan information which stated that the Jan payment had not been paid. LenderLive indicated that my Feb payment was posted as Jan since, again, "it had not been paid". I call about every day now but the problem has still not been corrected. NO ONE WILL HELP ME. I was advised during my daily call to LenderLive today that if I would have my bank send them the information on my January payment, they will try to resolve the issue with USFC. This is the first time I have been told this. Additionally, I tried to call USFC but, of course, I got voicemail and had to leave a message. I would advise any and all people looking at this company to run as fast as you can.

I just closed on a home a few days ago. House hunting was tense and stressful in the cut throat Atlanta market. However, my loan officer Jasmine Let singer definitely gave me piece of mind and excellent service. She answered my questions quickly and thoroughly. Also, a two week close gave me the edge in bidding wars. This company and this loan officer comes highly recommended.

We had the worst experience using this lender for the purchase of our home. The communication was terrible and they dropped the ball several times, causing our settlement date to get pushed back (which of course presented it's own set of problems). Then, after 4 hours at the settlement table, we nearly lost the house (a short sale) in the 11th hour simply because they didn't release the money to the title company when they were supposed to. Every person dealing with our loan pointed fingers and said it was "someone else's fault." Thankfully, it all went through, but at that point I was too emotionally drained to even celebrate. I will not recommend this company to anyone, and I will not use them again.

Edit, they made things right with my clients. review changed to 5 star. Stay far away from this company if you can. I m a Real Estate Agent who has had nothing but bad experiences with the company. The Loan Officer I work with has been trying to be very accommodating, but is stopped at every avenue to be efficient. We are less than one week from closing and I have zero answers about where our file is. The explanation I am being given is that the manager is unable to accommodate or push anything through. If you like being delayed on your home purchase, than this is the company to use. I will never use this company for financing again. I may use the Loan Officer if he moves over to a more efficient company, but until than, consumer beware.

When we bought our home in 2017, we got our loan directly through USF. Was the best rate at the time. Beat all other places by .15 percent. Then just over 2 years later we refinanced and brought our rate down even lower. Both processes were quick, easy and pleasant to work with those involved. I will continue to do business with them. Big shout out to Jameson Hawkins who assisted us with our home purchase, loan and refinance. Thank you USF for truly putting your clients first.
Worst mortgage company EVER!!! I have sold hundreds of house and this company kept my client out of his home for 2 months while they were trying to figure out the paper work. Once they finally did instead of funding and recording the next day they took 3 extra days because they would not send us a response to approve the HUD. If you are thinking about getting a loan from them RUN AWAY!!! I know how the loan process is suppose to go and this is not it. Instead of owning up they try to pass the blame off to everyone else. Worst company I have ever worked with!!!!
Atlanta is a VERY competitive market right now, & with the help of my loan officer Jasmine Letsinger, we were able to cut through the process flawlessly. She was responsive throughout the entire process & made herself available any time you needed her. Did I mention a 2 week close? She is top notch.
WORST CUSTOMER SERICE EVER!!!!!!!! My loan was sold to United Sercurity Financial and no one in this company seems to know what they are doing. It's a Mickey Mouse operation. I've been waiting for months now for a tax return check that was over paid. I've called probably about 6x in the last month alone and they just don't call back or tell you it's not their department and they don't know how long the return will take and then they send you to someone else. It's insane. At this point, I feel this company is one big scam. It's sad that United SecurityFinancial thinks this is how they should treat veterans!!! This is enough to drive someone insane.

My experience refinancing my house with this company was the best. Not only the company but was I really impressed working with Shane Barker. He's the kind of person that will assist and walk you through every step and will ensure everything is done correctly, worry free. I refinanced using my VA and as promised he will get you the best rate with no money down and not only do you get your escrow back they give you the option of missing a few payments. I would like to say thank you to Daniel Allen for his help in making our refinancing go smoothly. He was helpful, courteous and professional, all at the same time and that is a rare quality in todays world. Again thank you so much. I would recommend your company to anyone.
Worst experience ever. I highly recommend that every single person that reads this stays as far away from this Company no matter what it is that you are looking for. They take full advantage of their powers and will do everything they can to screw over their clients especially the ones that have come into financial hardship. They service a VA loan of which the seller has fell into hardship and could not keep up with his mortgage. You would think if this is the case they would be willing to work with the Veteran. Unfortunately that is not the case. The VA appraisal came back at $160,500. There is an offer at $160,000. Even though their sub-servicer Lender Live sent this proposal to USF recommending approval on the short sale USF came back and countered at $178,000 and said that they do not base their decisioning on value. The definition of a bully. And Linda Weir, Loan Production Manager, is the biggest bully of them all. She acknowledges that they are fully guaranteed any loss on this loan through the VA as well as that this property is worth $160K however she continues to push back counters close to $180K on a property worth $160K. Now they are forcing another home owner into foreclosure. Very sad. Linda Weir and the entire team over at United Security Financial are not in any of this for the good of the "borrower". I hope that people read this and steer away from this degrading company.

This was hopefully my last mortgage negotiation and the process was the best. Shane and I were in contact ever few days as he continually updated me to the progress and any requests for additional paperwork. It went so smooth I would almost consider refinancing again ( only kidding as my wife would kill me). If you need your mortgage refinanced, Shane and United Security Financial Corp. is the only way to go.
Excellent; I called to get a quote on a refinance. Within a week we made a decision to start the refinance process. Once it was started it was on auto-pilot. The worst we have ever had to deal with. They have the worst attitudes and procrastinate on everything. HORRIBLE!!! Will never refer anybody to these people. It has been over 30 days for us and we still nothing done. Our contract ends next week. I am so fed up. I wonder how I could get a hold of a main guy to complain about this. My refinance went great, USF was awesome... There choice in switching from Dovenmuehle to LenderLive not so much. Just over a year ago they switched mortgage servicers and hasn't been the same as Dovenmuehle. Today I received a notice that my mortgage is going up $63.12 a month so they could get a annual cushion of 0 - 1/6 of anticipated disbursements. The Tax and Insurance Account Disclosure Statement (or ESCROW) has it in print that my total is lower than last year, and forcasted amount is the same as this year. Lenderlive is bulding a bigger cushion than Dovenmuehle required.... who collects the interest on all these cushioned accounts???? Shame on you United Security Financial Corp for not monitoring your servicer!!!!!!! Update, Now being told Loan Servicing is being transferred to Round Tree Mortgage Servicer in April...

Simple, straight forward, and informed. Dan gave me almost all the information with the very first call I placed to him. I think the biggest point he made was that the process takes time and not to be alarmed if I had heard anything for another week or two. That is how it panned out and I had little to do on my part before all the refi paperwork arrived. The terms made a nice difference in the finance charge.

Terrible. They transfer the servicer of the loan back and forth constantly, and their auto-draft system botches things up once a quarter. When they transfer the loan servicer, which always seems to just be between some subsidiary company they actually own anyhow, it stops previous auto-draft programs, and you have to start again... by sending a voided check and waiting over a month. I feel like I should be billing them for MY time. The best part is, once they take their funds, they typically sit between two of their internal departments just long enough for us to get constant delinquent notices, which we then, as responsible home owners, have to waste even more time calling about to make sure THEY haven't screwed up once again. Avoid at all cost, especially if you value your time!

Refinance with a lot of clean up. Worked with Cam Brown and Jasmine Letsinger. If I were to say two very hard workers it would be an understatement. They truly want to see you and your family in a better place. If you have a difficult or complicated situation. Be patient and give them time to work. I know for a fact that they are exploring all option and rearranging them to fit perfectly. Just to give you a quick bit of information. I had over 25 accounts to pay and my appraiser was a total slow jerk. Under valued on my appraisal. Fyi. I'm in a newer home in a great area. Ray Donnavan himself could not have pulled this fix off. First off I get a call saying I can refinance my VA loan no problem to a lower rate no problem no money down, blah blah... well sign the papers all said and done they tacked on an extra $7,000 to my loan and when I called they played stupid and said they had no idea what I was talking about. Then this year I get a call in January saying if I don't pay $1,850.33 to my escrow account up front it will be negative because there was "unforseen fees" or my monthly payments will go up. So what do I do.. I pay it. Well end of the month rolls around and my payments change and now I am paying close to an extra 400 a month! These guys are a bunch of con artists along with their servicer lenderlive. I would never use them again or refer any Veteran or Active Duty service member to use them. I am currently working on reporting them to RESPA. I would encourage others to stay away and if you are having similar problems report them!

He made sure everything was did on time , in order to meet certain requirments before deadlines.I receive the loan rate I was promised on my VA Loan. I wanted to refinance my mortgage, and everything went fine until suddenly Lender Live got into the picture. My monthly payments went up with no explanation, and I receive statements from both companies telling me to pay them both. It takes over three weeks for them to process my monthly payments, and then call and harass me asking when I can make a payment! I am sorry I left PHH Mortgage.

Very unprofessional organization here. I tried to ascertain information on loan status of payment and was told everyone was "out to lunch" and a return call would be rendered. That call never occurred. I then called back 5 hours later and was told to call somewhere else for information concerning loan number. Not a customer service based organization for sure.
I had a very good experience with my refinance. All of my options were thoroughly explained and all questions were answered to my satisfaction. I was never pressured, which would have been a deal breaker for me. As a veteran I feel that many times we are under appreciated but I feel refinance options really benefited veterans.
