I cannot overstate the majesty, historical importance or simply how cool this place is. If you are in London this is a must do!

I cannot overstate the majesty, historical importance or simply how cool this place is. If you are in London this is a must do!
An incredible structure of buildings with historical significance. A collection of early military equipments. The richness of the monarchy jewelry. views of the famous London bridge. You will enjoy and learn.
The place where the prisioners and animals are kept before and where the crown jewellery is stored now (so much blink).
The guided tour (for around 1 hour) is very interesting and informative, highly recommend to Join one of them.
This place have so many to see and it is a very popular tourists spot, so there is usually a queue (espercially for the crown jewellery) , need at least 2 hours stay to cover every part briefly.
You can order your ticket online to save thr waiting time.
Came to see the Crown Jewels, but saw so much more. There s a few small museums spread across, which are worth checking out and plenty to see inside White Castle. Given its location, you can go early and spend 1-2 hours to see the main attractions, or take your time experience more.
Awesome experience. However 2 of the towers are closed so that was a let down.
Took our American grand daughters and they also loved it especially the Crown Jewels.
Great tour both for adults and kids. The crown's jewels are nice too.
Amazing place. Would highly recommend attending the key ceremony but unfortunately that is something you need to apply for in advance
If you are visiting London and not much into museums, then do visit this one at least! Everything started at this historical site, so your official intro to London should start right here (after a day on a hop-on-hop-off city sightseeing bus tour I hope! That's the first thing to do when arriving in London!) Learn about the important date of 1066 in English (or British) history - the Norman (viking guys who settled in Normandy, France!) Conquest and see some very well preserved Tudor buildings not destroyed during the Great Fire! Catch a funny, informative guided tour with a Yeoman Warder or grab a device with earphones and learn interesting history while strolling through the buildings and grounds! And for the ladies: prepare to queue if you would like to view the Crown Jewels and your diamond on your ring will look very small after your visit LOL!
This is my favorite touristy things to do in London. The Yeoman Warders that guide you through the history of the Tower make it so interesting. You can take the same walk over and over in the same day with different Yeomen and each one is like a new experience. Those men and women are great
This was my first time visiting London and we had to go to tower of london.. the history is amazing and everything is set out so well! Really enjoyed our time and will go back! Not too busy as well.
It is just one of those iconic London sites that you should visit. So much to see whatever your age or knowledge of English history.
Great effort has been made to ensure that there is a range of displaying information. Learn about past monarchs and get a feel for the period in which they lived.
Do prebook it's cheaper and makes it much quicker to get in on the day. We didn't visit the cafes inside but they seemed popular.
We didnt get to see the Crown Jewels. The queue was too long for us to wait. I think it's something which did detract from our visit and the management should review.
We really enjoyed our time in the tower.
I love the tower. Its one of those places that's expensive to visit but worth it in so many ways. Better on a dry day as the included tour is so much more all encompassing. The yeoman warders are hilarious and well worth a chat. Great exhibitions of armour and history and death and royalty. So much to see. So many little nooks and crannies to explore. Not so great if you have limited mobility though, they didn't make castles that accessible back in the day, but there is always something to do.
Nice historical place to go with lots if knowledgable people.
The queue for the crown jewels was huge so missed this but overall had a good visit
Really interesting. The beefeater tour was great (Steve was very funny) and lasts about 45-60 mins. Crown jewels exhibit was okay but a little anti-climatic. I thought it was a little expensive for one adult entry and strangely you cannot buy the discounted ticket online then use your phone to show e ticket - must be printed. Not great when you have no access to a printer.
Always good for a bit of history... Food and drink inside costs an arm and a leg, but then again they do have to keep up to tradition of torture!
Iconic and rich in history. Definitely recommend a visit if you're in London.
This was excellent. The yeoman tour (included in the price) is very good and entertaining. We had a 4 and 10 year old who enjoyed it too.
Amazing experience! Definitely a full day of things to see.
Lovely time spending the afternoon here. If you want to take it easy you are going to need a couple of hours to see everything. There was a long queue for the royal jewellery, so get there early if you want to see that
Try not to go on weekend during school holidays. It's packed and queues everywhere. Otherwise thoroughly enjoyable tour. The armoury rooms are something to see. A walk through history and captured guns and canon.
The Yeoman Warden who did the tour was brilliant. It was only his third time.
One of the best days out in london. Had a great day here with my 10 year old loved all the displays and seeing the crown jewels.
We didn't even do the tour, but walked the grounds early in the morning and read the history. Beautiful, haunting, and a wonderful walk along London Bridge and along the river. Such a special, historical area.
The dragon was the height of our tour. There are very interesting artifacts.
I'm torn about this place. On one hand, it is a significant piece of history that is incredible to see. On the other hand I feel like it is really touristy and some of the exhibits are kind of hokey. I understand it is one of the most visited places in London, but I want it to feel a little more authentic and less showy.
Beefeater tours (which are free) are very funny and informative
A lot to see and read it's not cheap so don't cut yourself short on time. Great for history buffs.
Me and my girlfriend really loved this place she was so happy to come and so was I! Our "guide" Steve was absolutely lovely and made our day even more bright! As French travelers he was really paying attention to us (even making little jokes) I strongly advise you to wait for the tours to start (its free)!
Loved it!! Its a must. Its Beautiful and so much History.
Terrific place to visit if you are short on time and want to get a good sense of the more famous aspects of English history. Closest Tube station is Tower Hill. From there you can also visit a Tower Bridge
Amazing. Crown jewels, armour, history. Following in the footsteps of kings, queens.
Beautiful place to visit. Nigjt time is stuing with all the lights on the river
Tower of London is very old and historical place of the world's .
This place has so much history around every corner.great place for families with kids. The crown jewels exhibit was awesome. Once in a lifetime opportunity. Highly recommend it.
Free tour is definitely recommended, crown jewels are amazing, the space juxtaposition to modern construction and tower bridge is pretty cool
Spectacular architecture, riveting stories and the Yeoman tour is highly recommended. The narratives and towers will give you a rollercoaster of feelings. Barbarism, monarchy, British history.. sacred spaces. A must see
I did did the tour of the site and it was great definitely would recommend it
Great day out. Full of interesting facts and historic items from the crown jewels of Queen Victoria to Henry VIIIs armour. Tour guides dressed in historic clothing gave us an animated engagement of historic facts and of course beautiful architecture and views.
Good experience though bit over price, not much to see apart from crown jewels. The videos on display can be watched on you tube for free.
Absolutely love this place and it's a photographer s dream!!
..must visit monument
.. has a good open area to spend time
.. grab a coffee and let london sink in
.. good view of London bridge from across the tower
.. keep some time in hand to spend here
Crown jewels are the highlight. Arrive when it opens at 10, and go straight to this part of the exhibition. Otherwise, the queue becomes huge. The cafe / restaurant is surprisingly good too. Book online to save money and further queuing. The Anne Boleyn dramatization also well worth seeing.
Well worth a visit. Shame that they still require you to print out your tickets in 2019!
It's just amazing how beautiful this place is, all the little rooms and things you can see is just amazing.
If you love jewels and/or history this is a good way to spend half a day. I suggest buying tickets online as the ticket counter line can be long at times. The crown jewels area is tricky through as they have those automated walkways like airports so you will miss details on each jewel display and may want to do that ride a couple of times :)
Suggest printing a ticket off after purchasing online. Arrive at opening time and visit the Crown Jewels first. Beating the crowd makes it more special.
This is the quintessential London attraction. Amazing history. Super helpful staff. We went in the late morning and did not wait long to see the jewels.
The location of the Crown Jewels which was very impressive. I did the free 30 min tour/lecture and it was a good start to understand a bit on where to go and the different buildings and the history. Try touristy and there were many people when I was there. I didn t have a significant line to get in to the Crown Jewels but after about an hour there was already a huge line so I would advise to come early.
Very cool for kids to see old weapons and see the history of the place, as intense as it is.
Beautiful place, worth the money spent.
Get the tour with the Beefeater, they are knowledgeable and very funny!
A lot of history. Take the time to listen to the guided tour, they give you a lot of interesting info. The crown jewels are impressive
Got there before it closed and I was able to see everything without mass crowds or queuing.
The Yeomen warder tour was absolutely fantastic and funny! It made the whole visit worth it. The tower and places are nice and jewles were impressive. Don't miss the Yeomen tour!
Nice morning on the London Castle.
The whole castle has been kept in a wonderful good conservation state.
This building is the witness of the glorious pass it is surprising to see it located just in from of the city (business district). Past and modern building looking each others.
21 canon shots on the Tames River has impressed my childen, so much smoke and so powerful noises with the Towerbridge as background. Really memorable.
A 1,000 year old castle ... complete with torture chambers and a moat! The Crown Jewels are amazing ... loved the beefeaters and the guards as well.
Taking a walk thru the past. Definitely give yourself ample time to see everything
Nothing to complain besides the location being extremely crowded from time to time, which makes navigating through the small rooms a little hard. Apart from that a nice trip back in time!
So full of history you can almost feel it. Recommend getting onto the Yeoman Warder tour not only is it informative but they inject humour into it as well. Great value for money
The tower of London a great and historical place. A great place to learn and to find out more about the nature of this place. You will find out about the myths hidden in the tower one of them being the myth about the ravens, the myth is that if the ravens were to leave the tower England would fall. This was widely believed during WW2. You will also get a chance to see the crowns jewels which is an amazing sight.
A core place to visit when you re in London. Almost a prerequisite to saying you ve really visited London.
Saw the crown jewels and learnt lots of new stories about the past monarchy lovely day out.
Amazing place ....The best is Crown jewels...where photography is not allowed...
This is a must see place for any visitor to London. Amazing history which you can feel as soon as you walk into the place. Well worth spending half a day here and the Crown Jewels are just amazing. Views out towards London from the Tower are superb and the view of Tower Bridge and The Shard are stunning.
Look up the history of the site to understand it's significance. The adjacent bridge has a must see view, and makes for a great skyline picture.
Pretty, a big story behind! The guard's was very cute and nicely
Great venue to bring children to learn about historical events to do with the monarchy. The tour guides in dress up are very informative and engaging. Only disappointment was that I thought there would be more to see in the crown jewels section.
Great experience, friendly talk and conversation with the yeomen of the guard. A privilege to meet the raven keeper.
Once you in there you are a bit on your own. Figure out everything yourself . However crown jewels section is simply the best.
something I've been meaning to do for 30yrs... jaw dropping.
Took my little one to the Tower of London with his school friends on their school trip. They were all amazed by the rich history. A great time out was had by all that went on their school trip. We are planning to revisit the Tower again soon.
Beautiful structure. Can have a glimpse of Kohinoor diamond
One of the most famous place to visit when you are in London...
Very good I learnt a lot and was a lovely experience
A monumentary castle from the middelage time. A little crowded in season, even in London std. But worth a visit after all. Tip: leave by boat from the harbour down below the main entr. to big ben castle.
Shows many history and learn about how the protection on the castle when they built it. Also shows many interesting facts about armour in the white tower. The crowns are amazing. Keeps you going so crowds do not developing with escalators.
Great to see. Crown jewels was unbelievable. Like stepping back in time.
We had a great experience using the personal electronic self-guided tour. We also accepted a free tour by one of The Beef Eaters who was funny and super knowledgeable. The tour of the Royal Family Jewels was stunning, in pure beauty, magnificence, and history.
Worth going in here, it's really amazing! Spent just under 3 hours there.
A must-see for London visitors. Talk to the yeomen on your way round. They are the best for the inside scoop on the Tower and its history.
Fantastic experience lots to learn recommend enjoy lots to see
Needs better crowd control, but a well maintained cultural heritage site!
It is worth the extra cost to get a guided tour that will give you early access! Once the doors were open to the general public, the entire Tower was quickly over-run and it became nearly impossible to see anything!
In spite of the crowds, however, the tower is well preserved and the displays are beautifully curated. Definitely worth a visit when in London!
There is a lot to see in this castle, it s very cool walking around a very well preserved piece of history.
If you come here, buy your tickets online to save some money, come at opening time, head straight for the Crown Jewels.
We did this and while it was still a bit busy inside, we did not have to wait to go in. When we came out, there was a line up to the armouries cafe.
