Surprisingly good. Wasn't expecting much to be honest as its a smallish place but it's well worth a visit. Only downside was the seals as their tank isn't really big enough for them to have a decent swim.

Pretty good experience, though a little tired in places. A good range of fish and the underwater walk-through is impressive. Not enough staff on the entrance desk, and a long queue gave a poor first impression.

As a long weekend excursion that the 2 and 5 year old were looking forward, we spent 20min waiting beyond the 13:30 entrance time (booked in advance) in a queue when ticket purchase was already restricted online. Having got in @ 13:50, we found the seal show would.start @14:00. Quickly bolt across from entrance to Seal show entrance only to find it's closed and told it's at capacity! WTx... At capacity what the heck is the point of selling tickets at restricted quantities if you cannot accommodate the visitors to the key attraction? Also, next show wasn't till 1.5hrs due to all the cleaning that needs to happen between shows etc.

Naturally I had very upset kids for the rest of the afternoon, instead we sat below the stadium seating to in a FREEZER for a room where you can see the seals underwater during the show we couldn't watch from above. In this area, despite a sign limiting room capacity to 10, there are heaps of people, clearly not caring for the distancing nor is there any rep to regulate like above. Also, just to make it that much more frustrating an experience, there are two TVs in this room with a moderate volume where you can barely make out what is being said during the show (given all the visitors noise in this room) while with a higher volume, there plays an incredibly annoying and repetitive recording of the seals through a large panel.

This was the third time I'd brought my children here, and honestly I don't see ANY improvement since the first visit.

Naturally I'm deeply disappointed because of the impact it had on my kids - We spent two hours committing to visit and spent half that inside. This was my final visit.

Loads to see here, but kids under a certain age won't take long to rush through it all. The shark tunnel and seal show are highlights, but hard to justify the annual pass when it's going to be more or less the same thing each time. The cafe is quite overpriced and the soft play area is a bit dank; Good luck if your child gets stuck up there.

We visited on New Years, first time in a couple of years. My boys still love and it's perfect size for young children, there have been a couple of changes most notably the Seal Show which was always fun to watch but it was nice to see a change. The only negative is the pricing especially when booking online, generally I purchase at the door, but I thought I'll jump the que by booking online. There are multiple packages available but they are kind of mixed in with general admission which is confusing, it needs to be categorized: General admission, Experiences etc. When you purchase tickets online you save money, not much but you do, providing you don't buy them on the day you want to visit, which I thought was odd when I read it. In the end I stumbled across the family package (dad, mum and 2 kids), which was from $100, I assumed the "from" indicated $100 general admission and price goes up for additional experiences... nope!! You click on it, then you have to select the date you want to visit, I selected the date, 1st Jan as it was the only day we had free, the price jumps up $20, out of curiosity I changed the day to the 2nd and the price dropped back down. Got to say it's the only tourist attraction that charges you more when you visit on public holidays, charges more if you want flexibility to visit on any day, only 1 level of the Annual Passes allows you to visit anytime of the year, the others restrict you from visiting during holiday seasons... the time when most people want to visit. Bottom line is you will enjoy the attraction once you're there, but I suggest you deal with the que and buy the tickets at the door, you will pay slightly more but save yourself a headache. They really need to revisit the pricing menu.

It's quite expensive for what's there. It was a struggle to keep our daughter entertained until the Seal show. We walked at toddler peace and were through it all in 35 minutes, with stops at Octonauts and finding Nemo. I wouldn't bother with a repeat visit.

We weren't told there were renovations occurring when we booked our tickets. So we got through the whole place in just over an hour. No turtles or penguins due to renovations. Would've been nice to know before we booked. Was a weekend planned around sea life for my daughters birthday and had to travel up from Toowoomba. Only to find out one we were inside that half the place was closed. Pretty disappointing

Great Sea Life. We had a very nice time there. The Sea Lions and sea seals are just amazing - so funny, intelligent and cute. Building needs a renovation, looks not to nice. Overall a great experience.

Sea life must have changed since we last visited about 3 years ago, because there used to be much more to see. Last time we took a full day but this time (despite nurses getting in 'free'? in May) 2 adults and 2 children's admission cost $93, without the adventure lanyards, and we were done in half the time and we went through the tunnel twice! There seemed to be less to see as well. The jelly fish exhibit was about half the size. There were silly Dory snippets on screens everywhere distracting children from the real animals to see. The seal show was ok but the part where the "volunteer" lost her pants in the water and the seal stole them was actually just awkward and maybe should have been reviewed by an outsider before approving such an awkward script. Didn't feel appropriate for kids. We do like sea life but it's not what it used to be and yet feels dated. They might need to work on some new attractions.

A great experience for all types of travellers. Loved seeing the variety of coral, fish, penguins, seals and sharks. I personally love sea dragons, so it was a personal highlight to see this astonishing animal. While it was quite busy; this was expected, given I visited during the school holiday period. I would have given it 5 stars if i didn t have to wait 15+ mins in the entry line. This was despite pre-purchasing tickets online via Experience Oz.

I didn't expect much when I've got here, since the seal life sydney's staff told me that sealife sydney is bigger than in the sunshine coast. For me, it is smaller, but surprisingly, I like it more than Sea Life Sydney. It has better layout and feels like newer compare to Sydney's Sea Life. The sea tunnel has various shark species, they have so many finding dory sections (even a cute playground for kids with finding dory theme), and my children's favourite is octonout section. While Sydney has cute penguins, Sunshine coast has Seal presentation which also very educative and you can take a photo with the seal with additional $30. My children and I very much like this place, eventhough it's small but very fun!

We were not able to get to the canteen until after the seal show, which finished at 1:30pm, and because they had turned the fryers off they wouldn't serve us. Not very good service when they are open until 3pm with last entry being 2pm. I will not be going there again as it wasn't really value for money as it cost $80 for just hubby and I to get in as we had a shopper docket for kids get in free.

Always a fun day out with lots to see and explore, nice cafe area and great climbing play area for the kids. We love the tunnel under the water and the seal show... Just love it all! Easy parking too.

Great place, three levels and worth the money and time! We went through in about 90 min and enjoyed every minute: Not only the beauty but the infos as well, we learnt a lot and will learn more online: Reef and its beauty well presented!

My 7 month old daughter absolutely loved this place we all enjoyed checking all the sea life out. Unfortunately we didn't get to see the seal show maybe next time :) definitely recommend this place.

This was my first time back here in over 10years. It was disappointing to find the little shops on the wharf closed. The place has changed much. Very much catered for the younger children. Still a good place to visit. Liked the talks around the place

Good experience the place is a bit of a maze but clean and entertaining as well as interesting well worth paying the extra ten dollars for a look at the marine hospital and behind the scenes tour

A good range of sea animals and great seal show! Check the Web before buying your tickets though, there are cheaper options than at the door prices.
Easy to spend 3 hours or more there especially if you have little ones. Lots of kids activities to do.
Was pleased to see they are trying to educate people about our role in protecting the environment too.

A must do for the kids, and the adults too! I had a shark dive here 14 odd years ago, now we've got kids it's great to hear they are keen to follow the old man's example. You do need to get in early in the peak times as the carpark fills up fast. You can go in and out so it's easy to make a day of it and treat yourself to some seafood from the local eateries just up the road.

Visited Sealife today as we had discounted tickets. Seal show was quite short and nowhere near as entertaining as it used to be. It was only Teiko and Moana. In the past there were more seals in the show, Groucho and Bella(?) were the stars with a few others. There was more entertainment to the show and funny seal antics.
Definitely disappointing and glad I didn t pay full price.
Staff were friendly, service was good, 2 year old enjoyed the playground. A few attractions coming soon . All in all it was ok. Not in a hurry to go back though.
