We visited on New Years, first time in a couple of years. My boys still love and it's perfect size for young children, there have been a couple of changes most notably the Seal Show which was always fun to watch but it was nice to see a change. The only negative is the pricing especially when booking online, generally I purchase at the door, but I thought I'll jump the que by booking online. There are multiple packages available but they are kind of mixed in with general admission which is confusing, it needs to be categorized: General admission, Experiences etc. When you purchase tickets online you save money, not much but you do, providing you don't buy them on the day you want to visit, which I thought was odd when I read it. In the end I stumbled across the family package (dad, mum and 2 kids), which was from $100, I assumed the "from" indicated $100 general admission and price goes up for additional experiences... nope!! You click on it, then you have to select the date you want to visit, I selected the date, 1st Jan as it was the only day we had free, the price jumps up $20, out of curiosity I changed the day to the 2nd and the price dropped back down. Got to say it's the only tourist attraction that charges you more when you visit on public holidays, charges more if you want flexibility to visit on any day, only 1 level of the Annual Passes allows you to visit anytime of the year, the others restrict you from visiting during holiday seasons... the time when most people want to visit. Bottom line is you will enjoy the attraction once you're there, but I suggest you deal with the que and buy the tickets at the door, you will pay slightly more but save yourself a headache. They really need to revisit the pricing menu.
