I hadn't been to this place in about 15 years..... What a day we had. Our two toddlers loved it (we could barely get them past the first viewing pool). The staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning very soon.
I've been to Sea Life a few time over the past few years and have sadly watched it deteriorate. Slowly but surely the live biological/ecological displays have been getting removed and replaced with interactive games and entertainment for kids. They charge the same amount of money for provision of less relevant content. My advice is, don't waste your money.
Wonderful experience if you're touring the Sunshine Coast.
We thought it was ok. The seal show is a definite must see.
Staff were a great help as Groupon had messed up our voucher . Staff sorted it without in no time . Could do with better change area but that's no biggy. The ppl that took us out to swim with the whales , you guys are great fun and do your job so well . We had a fantastic day thanks to all the staff . Massive shout to you lot . Keep up the amazing work . You all make it the great day it is .. CHEERS TO YOU ALL
We took family from overseas to the Sea Life and it was an amazing experience for them.
It's a amazing place it's great for the whole family
Sea Life Aquarium is absolutely fantastic. Whilst I am against animals in captivity as I am a SCUBA Instructor I appreciate that it is a double edged sword and facilities like Sea Life really are the gateway for so many future marine biologists and advocates. The exhibits are well maintained and are very interactive. Our kids absolutely love visiting and are always asking when we can go back again. I would have no issue recommending Sea Life Mooloolaba to anyone that asked.
We went primarily for our granddaughter, who had a marvellous time. So many different marine species to see. Could spend hours here. Annual pass represents best value.
Check the times so you can see the seal presentation, good for any hour or two
Awesome spot for young and old. A must see if your on the Sunshine Coast!
Just what you would expect to see.
It's not a whole day thing but two or three hours. Before going buy your tickets online and pocket the savings I saved around $50
Well Over priced. Out dated and lacking attractions, nothing here really stands out and if you've ever been to Darling Harbour Aquarium or somewhere similar you just leave here feeling like you wasted your money. If You've never been to a good aquarium then this place would probably excite the snot out of you. But I just didn't feel like its value for money, I feel it's more aimed at the overseas tourists who think this is as good as it gets...
Fantastic experience and if you arrive early you can have great uninterrupted views. Good cafe there as well and easy to navigate. When you purchase a pass you can come and go as you please for the day.
Doesnt have a box jelly fish in the jelly fish area.
Loved Sea Life. Very informative and interesting for both adults and kids. The live seal show was great, very funny kids enjoyed it. We stayed around 3-4 hours.
Go and understand what we are doing to our planet and the wildlife that we share our home with
A top spot to learn about how it would be if u lived in the ocean and who is your interesting friend and who would want to have u for a meal.
Quite different with the cov...the team where organised and run like a well oiled machine..goes with out saying you need to be patient because we had a lot of waiting on enter.
Great place to take kids. However.... we missed out on seeing all of the shows because the amount of people allowed at the shows has been halved, but no increase to the amount of shows and show times to compensate for this, and allow for all the paying customers to actually get to attend the shows. Extremely disappointing!
Loved to see all the wild life I really love the tunnel
Love, love, love it all! I could go again and again and again and each time discover something new. Can't recommend highly enough.
A fun place for learning about ocean creatures. Was a bit disappointed not to see dolphins or orcas but then again those animals belong to the wild.
Okay. The seal show is the highlight. Nothing incredible.
sea lifeis spectacular so much work in looking after the animals and tanks great to see thanks to all
It was great, the seal show is absolutely brilliant so make sure you see it. I did the behind the scenes tour and it was a really lovely little peek into how these places are run and the hard work they put into rehabilitating wild species. Lots of exciting stuff and a good day out for the cost.
Good seal show however alittle expensive in comparison to seaworld where you see all the same things on a bigger scale and more bang for your buck
Great displays but
- too expensive for a family
- confusing ticketing
- slow lineup to get in
- corridors are too narrow
- only takes 1.5 hrs to get through
My 5 year old and i spent about 3 or so hours here, we both loved it so much and didn't want to leave. We have been wanting to go back ever since, it was a great experience
Super dated and super hot. No air con except in the finding nemo area. Seal show was funny for the kids but had to leave early as we were sweltering. Nice exhibits and clean tanks. OK variety of fish. Parking can be a challenge but we went on a Saturday after Christmas.
Wouldnt suggest going why there is covid restrictions in place some things closed or not available drove longer then we actually spent inside
Fabulous, particularly fresh water section & variety of fish species. Well worth a visit
Absolutely fantastic day the seal show was so good learnt so much aswell. Will be back
Best under water aquarium in the region. Wonderful exhibits. Well designed and laid out. Easy access to all areas. Enjoyed the experience. Even the food was good
Nice aquarium. Friendly staff . Gets abit crowded though for a small place .
I like the shark tunnel, but the rest is not very exciting. Organisation was a bit poor when we visited, with no enforcing of social distancing in queues at all, and entry being late.
Great place and great staff. We came on a weekend so there were a lot of people but they handled it well. Just wish it was cheaper but the experience is worth it.
The staff were all really welcoming. Kids and parents will enjoy this. So much to see, to touch, to learn and interactions as well. Best family day.
Recommend a visit. Reasonable entry prices. Great for all ages.
Great fun for the whole family. Very friendly staff. Gorgeous animals. Even fun for the smallest kids!
An Amazing place to visit! Informative, Interesting, Exciting experience for the family. Love the Seal presentation and the kids enjoyed the play area too. Highly recommended
Just fantastic! We visited during the COVID-19 restrictions. Clean, safe and group booking ensure the safety & well-being of visitors. Staff happy and friendly. We really enjoyed our visit, thank you!
$98 for myself and my two boys 5 & 6 in and out in half hour if your looking for a good cheap day out with the family I definantly would not recommend going to sea life maloolaba . Rip offs for sure will never go there again.
Was an okay experience but getting a park is really hard on the weekends (not a fun exercise when you are travelling with small kids) and I was also expecting the oceanarium to be much larger.
Love Sea Life Mooloolaba. Great exhibition. Just wish it was cheaper
We had sooooo much fun! Definitely not just an experience for children. We loved how easy it was to navigate each sector and the new exhibits were amazing. Well priced and in a great spot. Amazing!
Sea Life is always a great spot for getting out of the house and running around for a while! We always enjoy it. One of the great places on the coast to visit when it's raining!
A terrific aquarium with big, big tanks, walk-through tanks, touch and feel pools and interactive events. Easy wheelchair access and a limited but pleasant cafe. Allow half a day to see it. Recommended.
What a great experience, up close and personal with Sealife. Kids had a ball
Assume place to learn about various sea animals. Make sure you check if the shows are on and what time so you don't miss them.
A great place to bring the kids. Families young and old will have a blast not only seeing sea life up close and personal, but learning about how our actions affect our underwater friends and what we can do to make a change to better our environment. We were lucky enough to go when the Finding Dory experience was on and the kids loved seeing the real life versions of their favourite characters and learning about their habitat. Overall the venue is reasonably priced but doesn't offer much in the way of food, so definitely pack a lunch or wander outside to the wharf for lunch.
It s a more intimate experience than SeaWorld allowing you to touch some seas creatures and it cost three times less. It s located across from the beach and right next to an array of restaurants. The highlight and what I wasn t expecting is how many and how close you get to be with the seals, if that doesn t excite you what about an uncountable amount of sharks swimming right above you so close that only glass prevents you from reaching up and touching them.
Wow! What an awesome day out that was at Sea Life. Thoroughly enjoyed it, can't complain. Only down side is trying to find a car park. Otherwise I'd recommend a family outing there
We all had a wonderful time visiting sea life (renamed underwater world) seeing a couple of new and revamped exhibits, kids had a wonderful time with the touch pool. Even the seal exhibit was very entering for both young and young at heart
Our two boys aged five and two really enjoyed the visit. Highlights were the touch tank and the interactive area with the turtles that flew up into tubes. We went in the morning and while the didn't want to sit for the Seal Show, that was a great time too grab a snack and play in the play area - they had the whole thing to themselves. Take socks for the play area.
This was a big win! My 4yo ASD girl, who loves anything aquatic, was more excited than a kid in a candy store! Great display's, not too many people, enough staff if you got lost. We loved the tunnel, and the links to Dory, Nemo and Octonaughts. :-D Cafe for lunch was a little limited for those fussy eaters, and the only meltdown happened when we had to leave! Entry price was good value for money, and as usual, the gift shop was expensive, but not unexpectedly so. Great visit! :-D
This is an amazing facility with lot to see and experience. Especially good to bring kids. But please sort out the lack of parking space
Great place to take the kids! And you will love also lovely day out
Absolutely wonderful. I took my 93 y.o. dad for father's day and we both loved it. Easy for him to get around. Staff were fantastic. Recommend it to anyone.
