The hostess at the door and the waitress sitting eating her dinner were very rude. We are not from NY and we had stated it was to go. We got confused when we requested wine and the hostess asked if it was to stay. She had confused us with the question. The other waitress rudely said do we speak English. I'm a born America. The better question is do you speak English. There was no need for them to get hostile with us. We were leaving. We came in a group and were ready to leave in a group. This place is rude with the women there. And they have insecurities about females coming in that's a personal problem. We stated from the moment we came in we were not staying.

Horrible service! Horrible food! I am here visiting NYC & decided to stay in my room and order food. The whole order was wrong! And when I called to tell them about it, staff was UTTERLY rude! I'll NEVER visit this place again!

Quaint, little restaurant, just around the corner from The Roosevelt Hotel. Cozy atmosphere, goooood pizza, and our starter salad was fresh and good. The waitress looked tired, but she was punctual. Finished with a cannoli. Would definitely go back on our next trip.

This is usually my go to when ordering pizza when i'm in the area. I have always had great service up until today. I placed a delivery order and Robert was very rude and condescending. I will not be back to spend $20 bucks on a small pizza due to his horrible service.

Food is great here, anything you order, service is fast and prices like anywhere else. Not expensive, which is great. Although they lack on the comfort, that definitely has to be improved. It's a small place inside, and felt cold inside in the winter.

Worst gluten free pizza I've ever had. It was really dry and cracker like. It was also disappointing that most of the pizzas didn't have any sauce on them. The only thing this place had going for them was the caramalized fig on the pizza, that part was outstanding.

Walked in around 11pm and ordered two slices. They weren't properly nor evenly reheated. The staff looked very tired (I think they really were) and they made me felt tired. Forgot how the pizza tasted.

Worst pizza / experience I ever had in any pizzeria, recently visited with my friend , we ordered 4 slices of pizza and 2 drinks. They served cold pizza and didn t even bother to make it warm , when my friend ask to make it warm , they gave us looks as if we have asked something for free they didn t even give receipts. May be famous pizza place but people should visit when they have plenty of time and patience to deal with bunch of rude college kids.

It's cheap, it's open (nearly) all hours and it has good vegetarian options. Uncle Paul's takes credit cards. Three slices will more than fill you up for a little more than $10. However this is NYC, and you can do a lot better pizzawise. The veggie slice was soggy, which meant it flopped about when I tried to eat it (although partly this was because they are not ungenerous on the toppings). The white spinach slice was fairly bland. The cheese slice just... dull. The crusts were chewy and a chore to eat rather than a joy. Pizza should be crisp and joyful, not just something doughy to fill you up. If you're hungry and out late, this place could save your life. But otherwise you can do so much better elsewhere... eg Previti on E41st between Lex and Park; or Little Italy's on W45th between 5th and 6th.

of the most homemade pizzas in manhatan. They make them in a wood oven and the prices are very good. The quality is very good. right in front of the big central station. I recommend 100%. large, medium and small pizzas and menus.

Walked in and asked the guy making the pizzas what was on a particular pizza and he responded it's a pizza. I was a little confused by that response. He was being a smart ass. Then they preceded to serve me a burnt pizza he forgot about in the oven(I watched him do it). Once I got the non burnt pizza it was good.

3 slices and a beer. $20. All prices were taped over. Hardly classy. As mentioned by others you'd never know you couldn't sit at the tables. Multiple people made the same mistake we did. Nobody at the door when we walked in but was there for some others. He came and went. When your model is that confusing it's your own fault. Slices were pretty good.

The pizza at Carmel did NOT disappoint! It had a very portland feel with the food cart being on the sidewalk. It drew us in because it was close to our hotel! We ordered through yelp and it was ready when we got there!

The pizza is good, just that it is very thin, you take too many slices for one to fill, if you fill up with one in other pizzerias this one will fill up with two singles the service is passable but can improve

Recent visit and first time customer. Nice location and cozy place for delicious pizza - thank you Uncle Paul! That being said, I ordered 2 slices of pizza ($4/each) and a caesar salad ($7) in order to get some greens in my diet. The salad was delivered about 10 minutes after my pizza was delivered "warm". The real problem was the salad consisted of ALL yellow romaine lettuce (not even one green leaf), some boxed croutons, and dressing. The salad did not have a single green leaf in the bowl! Nutritionists know you must have the green leaf from Romaine lettuce in order to obtain any benefit. The pizza was pretty good, but the salad was a total waste of money if you want to put some greens in your diet. Recommend you avoid the salad if you want real greens, but the pizza was certainly delicious. Bon appetit!

Uncle Paul's pizza is a great quick bite to eat joint. Pizza are delicious and their selection is good. They also sell Buffalo wings in different sauces. Which is good quantity for ur buck. Some dishes are a bit pricey, but we'll worth it. Service is quick and polite without any issues.

Service is rushed but food is flavorful and slices are big. You're better off getting desserts somewhere else though. Same with drinks, they can be on the higher side of what a beer is actually worth. Think of this place as a hybrid between a dine in and take out restaurant.

Expensive. Bad slice. Greasy. Stay away. Update. I d love to try you out again. Does the chase bank nearby offer mortgages? Cause I ll need one to buy your slice at four times the cost of other pizza shops.

I got one slice to share. I paid almost $6 and comparing to other places, it was a small slice. Expensive and small portions.
It was 1am and the employees were really tired. So they were quite rude and not helpful.

Yum, yum, yum! I was told by a co-worker that I had to go here if I wanted some good deep dish pizza. Although this was only the second deep dish style pizza I've ever had, I must say, it was DAMN good.

I ve ordered from just about every pizza restaurant around. This time I wanted to try something new. The pizza I got looked as if it was supposed to be a stage prop on the Texas chainsaw massacre. When I received delivery I simply called the restaurant. Someone answered(can t remember his name because I was furious) and said oh that s not our problem you have to call seamless. That s not our delivery guys.... what kind of establishment is this?
