Uke's Dirt Store (Uke's Harley-Davidson) Review

Love Ukes!! We visit Milwaukee about twice a yr and on our way back to Ohio we always stop at Ukes and shop!! We love the employees, good service and merchandise.

I just bought a new 2016 Fatboy. Years ago I went into Uke's and the girls at the front never said hello, nor did the sales rep give me the time of day. I never thought I would purchase a motorcycle from Uke's. Went in there a couple weeks ago with a friend and met Derek who was extremely helpful. I went this week and saw Jeff who remembered me from 3 years ago purchasing my bike from another dealer. Jeff and Derek went above and beyond to help with the sale of this bike and I would definitely recommend them to all my friends. Not only did I purchase a bike, they made me feel like family. The finance person Rick was awesome as well as the clothing girl.

I've read many of the reviews here, and I have to say, that I can't agree more with how friendly and helpful the staff is. I've purchased parts, oil, outerwear, boots from here and had service look over my bike - most recently last night. Every person I've dealt with - parts counter, service reps, front desk, sales associates - has made my experiences at Uke's a pleasure. I can't compare to other places since I usually only visit my local H-D, however, I'm very glad Uke's is my local shop. They take care of both you and your bike here.

Quiet in the winter but the guys are always fun to talk to and share stories with. Harley is like a family!

Always a nice selection of new and used bikes, no pressure sales staff for serious buyers or people just looking. Service department is top notch, customer services number 1

Just bought a used 2012 Ultra Limited from them. Dave Ratz was a great salesman. The experience was the best. I will be back again and again and again.

Stopped in to check the bikes out yesterday. Because it had been on my list of things to do for years. I am very glad i did! I spent about 45 minutes talking with Dave Ratz in sales who was very helpful. I have not ridden a motorcycle since the 80's and had no knowledge of the new bikes! Dave spent the time and went over all the changes that have occured since my riding days, even though i assured him i wasnt buying a motorcycle that day he did not hesitate to give me the same amount of attention as if i were a buyer. After my experience i was thoroughly impressed and if i ever do purchase another bike Dave and Ukes HD will most definitely have my business!

What does HD stand for? Hundred dollars every time you go to the dealership. But for those of us who love the Milwaukee two note Symphony it's home.

They are so guarded with everything but want to charge rediculous prices. Not helpful. I wanted to see pics of the parts I wanted to purchase and here was very hesitant to provide and site enough the parts here was going to order for me were wrong

I just happened to come across a diamond in the rough at Uke's HD. My sister was in the process of buying a similar bike at a higher cost with another dealer. But when I saw this little jewel, I had to jump at it. Thank you, Kurt, for working so hard to take care of my baby sister. Because of you, my brother, sister, and I (all Marine Corps Veterans) will be able to represent our family at Rolling Thunder. Uke's has earned a new customer for life.

I would not buy nothing from them bought new bike still under warranty broke down on the side if the road they informed me they could not help me for 3 weeks as there shop was totally booked this is THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER SEEN CALLED RACINE HARLEY THEY PICKED UP BIKE AND FIXED THE SAME DAY And I PURCHASED THE BIKE FROM UKES SO IF U NEED SOMETHING GO TO RACINE AND GET THE TREATMENT U DESERVE !!!!!!!! IM ALSO REPORTING UKES TO MAIN CUSTOMER SERVICE MAKING THEM AWARE THAT THIS PLACE IS A JOKE AND NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT!??!!!?!

Every motorcycle dealer I've ever visited carriers more than one brand except this one. In addition the salekid captain obvious pointed out when I asked why all I saw was harleys that it was a harley davidson dealer. I'll never return or recommend

Fantastic Experience!!

There is a reason this place has been around as long as it has they flat out know their stuff!! Huge thanks to Dave in sales and Barbara in The finance Department!! Dave worked with me to make sure I was going to be on the right bike for the style of riding I was going to be doing!! After a long hard day of riding different bikes I found the one I couldn t live without! I put on 300 miles this weekend on my new bike and I m loving every minute of it!! Thanks again for the Exceptional Service I couldn t be Happier!

Bought my bike last month January 2021... Kurt was my sales guy and I just have to say that first off I will only by from Ukes in the future based on my experience there with Kurt. Second there was no hassle and no pushing you into a sale, with a completely laid back and fun atmosphere The way buying a bike should be. Kurt was knowledgeable and a straight up good guy. They even picked up my trade and brought my new bike to my house. Thanks Kurt and thanks Ukes!!

Great Staff and a very cool place!!
I stopped in just before they closed on a Saturday "Just to look" I was greeted by Dave in sales and I fell in love with a Road glide Ultra they had on the floor. After asking a Million and 1 questions being this was my First Harley Davidson. And a short talk with Rob and Dave about customizing i decided to pull the trigger and I was Riding Home on my Baby an hour later! I can honestly say I havent stopped smiling since!! I was thoroughly impressed with the Customer servce at ukes! It was an hour and a half after close and not once did I feel like i was keeping them from something or bothering them! I would Highly Reccomend this dealer to anyone and I will continue to make the drive from illinois to do business with them! Thanks Again guys

Drove me crazy not having my bike but they wanted to make to make sure everything was fine. Extra day but no charge. Has got to be one of they greatast dealership experience I've evet had thanks everyone

It's a large store and there's a fun upper floor with historical items, like a mini museum. It's not my favorite Harley shop though. I've been there twice and wasn't greeted by the employees or asked if I needed help either time. Employees could be a little friendlier and helpful

I recently stopped for last minute Xmas gifts. And everything I have heard about this place proved true. Terrible selection Little to no kids clothes. Staff was rude and not helpful. I will definitely not be returning.. Very unfortanate being this is my local HD store....

As long as Harley is working with company's like Kem Krest with cheap parts from China and don't care about American pride in the parts going into thier machines, they may as well put made in Japan on thier labels.

Purchased a 2019 road king from them a couple of months ago !! Went home and realized my running lights and heated hand warmers were not working ,called my salesman the next morning and he told me I had to bring it in for them to look at it. I drove the 20 miles to the dealership and the salesman told me to talk to the service department they told me they were to busy and to try again tomorrow .I had to take it to speed and power and they repaired the bad wiring job Ukes harley Davidson did .very disappointed

I've visited Harley dealerships all over S.E. WI and none can compare with Uke's friendly staff and outstanding service.

Cool shop right off the exit. Easy to access and worth stopping in if you are passing by!

Was very impressed, the way they treat their customers, I give 5 stars to the sale gentlemen that took care of me, did an excellent job, bought a 2020 Trike, all the paper work was done, when I got there, things when very smoothly, Thanks to lady, that got all the paperwork done, Big Thanks to all of them

The staff at Ukes is awesome. I dealt with Jamie (may have spelled wrong) and Jeff in sales. Jeff came out to me to view my trade ins. So glad that I went to Ukes

If your a buell fan and on your way to the Harly museum you need to stop at ukes to see the rare buells they have on display in their free loft museum. Lotsa cool nicknacks and worth the 20 minute stop off the freeway

Never been a huge fan although in just recently and got great service.

I have been by this place a million times to and from work. So I finally decided to stop in and check it out Very nice building and location. I wish I could say the same for the employees or lack there of as soon as I walk in im greeted by a lady with her head buried in her her phone but did give me a once over an a quick hello before she went back to her texting. After my warm welcome I wander into the sales area where I see a younger salesman which I thought was sleeping with his head on desk but to my surprise it turns out he was fully awake! But also texting.. Unfortunately all I got from this 1 was a look not even a hello. Needless to say I was Extremely unimpressed with my experience.. maybe with all the money they have in this beautiful building they could not afford anybody with customer service skills.. I will not be back the only business I will be doing with this dealership is looking from my car window...

Dear Ukes thank you for the offer of the tour unfortunately I will have to pass.. I also appreciate you trying to turn my bad experience into it being my fault. But if you pay attention to details and what i had said in my review I was the only 1 in your store that was NOT on my phone that day. Hence the entire point of my review... your response has definitely confirmed my decision to Never do business with you and your dealership.. side note being the oldest dealer in wisconsin does not compensate for your lack of customer service in my book..

Purchased my second bike here and I am very pleased

Got there as soon as they opened. Every employee ignored me as I looked around. Not even a good morning or welcome to Uke's. If I wasn't getting a shirt for a friend, I'd have left w/o a purchase at all.

Dropped bike off for a oil change and dealt with Billy. He was polite and professional right off the bat. He had both my bike and brothers bike done the next day as promised. We couldn't get back out there to pick them up as we come from Milwaukee and pass 4 dealers to get to ukes so he had them both washed and delivered for us for a small fee. Great dealership and honest people. Thanks again Billy for a great experience again at ukes

Love everything Harley! My husband wants to buy one soon so he has me bringing him to all the Harley shops lately..lol..i dont mind..i love looking at all the bikes and the other things the sell

LOVE this place! My grandfather started it in 1930 and my family has run it ever since. The shop is beautiful and big, great selection of bikes, full service including customization, and a great staff.

High pressure sales environment. Please beware. Shop around for better rates. Do NOT be afraid to walk away. I had a very bad experience here personally. I'm sure it varies. The dumber you are the better you are treated .

I just had one of the easiest and most straightforward purchasing experiences I've ever had. I really have to say that Jamie Ulinski and crew did their part to earn my current business and all my future business. Well done!

Great service department very friendly and helpful employees.

Had the bike in for some simple work, ended up with a costly repair due to a larger problem. Understandable, problem was bigger and more complex than expected, therefore it costs more. Plus, it's a dealership so I expected it to be pricey, which sucks but that's life. The work that was done appears to be satisfactory (will update this review if not the case). That's not the reason for the 1 star review. The poor review has to do with the service. Nice enough staff, but there was confusion, uncertainty and at times, rudeness during nearly every step of this experience. Dropping off the bike, some guy in an office right by the service desk kept shouting (at least 3 times) "THAT'S AN EXHAUST LEAK!!!". No duh, that's one of the reasons why I brought it in. Next, when that problem was confirmed I called back to talk about it and authorize the necessary repairs, I spoke with three different service personnel who all told me similar stories before finally getting a straight answer. Final price ended being slightly higher than verbally quoted, but that's standard dealership operating procedure (again, sucks but not unexpected). Finally, when I went in to pay and pick up the bike they radioed the wash bay to wash it and get it ready for me to take away. I paid my bill and went outside to wait for the staff to bring it out to me. After 15 minutes, two of them walked up to me and asked if I wanted the bike washed. I don't know what they were doing or why they even bother to radio the wash bay if they hadn't planned on doing it in the first place. I declined, as I felt my last bit patience start to disappear after this frustrating experience. So after all that, I ended riding a dirty bike home. I figured that at the very least they would've wiped it down after all the work done. That genuinely surprised me. Old dirt because a customer declined a wash is fine, but new filth from the expensive repair couldn't even be wiped down? Come on...

I have been a Harley owner for many years. I have been to HD dealerships all across the country and world. This is by far the worst experience at a dealership that I have ever had. I'm new to this area and am an extremely loyal customer. Uke's will likely never know that. I would encourage anyone considering this dealership to look elsewhere.

Great place to stop and visit, great staff and plenty of bikes to choose from. The service center is top notch.

Kurt took care of me. Made the buying experience enjoyable. First time harley buyer and couldn't be more pleased.

First rate group of people to work with. From the owners to the maintenance man, everyone is helpful and knowledgeable and always treat you like family.
