Older Hotel, but right on Argyle St, and half a mile from Glasgow Central. AC worked good, WiFi was good for the most part. Anderston Station is outside to the right of the hotel, under the bridge, making easy to get to the central parts of the city.

No convenience store nearby though.

Second stay here ... the air conditioning/heaters did not work three months ago. Checked in -- again doesn't work. Also, I forgot how the food is vulgar - eat somewhere else. I don't even bother going to the members lounge except to get water. On the plus side, the staff are friendly. And, you do get Marriott points that you can use a better hotel.

Lovely hotel, staff are really friendly and go the extra mile. I changed my mind about wanting a cot in the room and they brought it up and assembled it within 5 minutes of me asking. Also asked for milk for my 10 month old - the kitchen gave me some warmed milk and didn't even charge for it. Rooms are big and comfy. Close to the centre of town, walking distance from Glasgow Central

Great stay. Comfy bed. Great facilities. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was varied and tasty. Close enough to walk to the centre of Glasgow and to the SEC or hydro for conferences or concerts.

Convenient location within walking distance of everything that's around city center. This Marriott is definitely in need of a significant renovation! Carpets a bit worn and lots of tears or patches in the wallpaper. On the positive, the staff has been very nice, and the concierge lounge is well stocked and has pretty good evening appetizers along with free beer and wine from 6:00 - 8:30 PM. For those flying in to the Glasgow airport, there's no hotel shuttle and a taxi ride will cost you about $29. As a titanium member I probably wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

The room was a typical hotel room, there was no fridge, we were given a half melted ice bucket, and the wifi costs 7 pounds per hour. The rating is mainly because they're charging obscene amount for wifi in an age where wifi at hotels should absolutely be included. Parking is not too bad (10 pounds overnight). However, the location is not walkable if you want to visit a pub or really any nearby shop.

Fantastic staff and excellent restaurant, everything else is just subpar and ancient: furniture, layout, mattress, shower in the tub, etc. getting to the pool from the 1st floor is an adventure from 'the shining'. executive lounge service is not worth even looking at, let alone consuming. avoid.

Great good all round marriot standard.

Excellent service. The staff are very professional, friendly and go out of their way to make your stay very confortable and pleasant. Massive thank you to Ryan at the front desk and Muriel in the restaurant for their sincere kindness. Xxx

Nice Marriott hotel. The staff is very accommodating and well trained. The rooms are large and well furnished. The beds are incredibly comfortable. However the hotel is quite dated. All of the carpets and furnishings have not been updated for a long time (but they are very well maintained). I would stay here again without hesitation.

The staff treat you differently depending on your dress. Seem to prefer businessy-types to vacationers, so keep that in mind. Some drunk American came by to interrupt when I was checking in. Pool is okay. Sauna and steam room are nice. It met our needs but wasn't exceptional.

Staff at welcome desk was not at all welcoming. Room was very small, dated, and smelt bad, bath in en-suite was also small. The 'king size' bed was 2 singles pushed together, and very uncomfortable. Tv was incredibly buggy, hanging up More

Stayed here alot. And always love it. Rooms are nice and spacious. Always a nice temperature too. Breakfast in bed as always, although they have slightly changed it, it's still lovely and thankfully have increased the size of orange juice glass lol. The mattresses have Been changed too, well at least in our room, it was a firm mattress. Still very comfortable. Had a great sleep. Love how you can connect your phone to the TV, good to listen to music while getting ready. We also used the sauna, steam room and pool. Which was good. Have ate in the restaurant before which is always lovely.

Hotel is a little dated in decor but service was excellent. Rooms clean and tidy. Didn't try the gym or breakfast. But bar is nice and there is a little tourist shop. Excellent transport links.

Stayed here with partner and 2 kids the hotel as others are saying is a bit dated but the staff and service make up for this 10 times over they go out their way to help and all and so cheerful and friendly from cleaning staff up to hotel service .Thank you for making our stay memorable and to add both kids have sensory issues ect so this was even more important that the stay went without a hitch which it did. 5* and thelocation also is perfect.

Good place for a party, however very poor bar stock re champagne choice, rigid on serving champagne by the glass. What a girl who doesn't drink has to do to get a glass of proper good quality champagne?

My husband arranged a spa break for me at the Glasgow Marriott for our first wedding anniversary. The staff at the spa and hotel were amazing, the room was clean and comfortable and lunch and breakfast were excellent! Highly recommended!

Lovely room, was greeted warmly by reception with some mulled wine.

Didn't have a chance to fully experience the hotel as was only passing through for business but would recommend staying again
