Absolutely happy with the hospitality here! Our keys and rooms were ready when we arrived. The room was on 10th floor. Good view I would say for a prime location. Speaking of which, almost every other tourist spots like Merchant City, Botanic Gardens, University of Glasgow, Duke of Wellington and walking distance.

It was year end and even though the hotel was crowded, we got enough love from the staff as they left welcome letter with complimentary access to executive lounge which has unlimited alcohol and bites in the evening. I guess perks for being an elite member! The breakfast spread was huge and delicious. Again, even though it was crowded, we didn't have to wait too long to get our seats.

Did I mention they left a hangover kit in the room since it was NY eve!? How amazing is that!

Very nice and impressive facilities, very helpful and accommodating team. Food booked for the event wasn't labelled so quite difficult to tell what was suitable for dietary requirements, Cheesecake dessert was amazing though everything else was a risk. This was only thing letting it down ever so slightly.

Ok place. Wouldn t really tell people to avoid it, but I would not book a room here if I had to pay for it myself.
Good breakfast, bed and wifi. The rooms are large. It just that you have the feeling you went to your grandmas house and she bought a huge tv for no reason.
The staff is following you like a hawk, you would come from a nightshift and be looking for your colleagues and you would get everybody from from reception saying good morning like some North Korean kind of a salute. If this does not scare you, after that one of them comes to ask you questions, it s not that they would know where your colleagues are, unless they ve asked them for their id and where they are going. I think they should treat people individually and figure out who would like that kind of things and who would feel awkward about it.
Also, the light switch for the bathroom lights is too far away from the door, so you would get in there and search for the switch only to realise you have to get out to turn the lights on.

Just checked in today, so not more than 5 hours in the hotel and this is what I found:

- took Sarah about 20 min to check me in, she told me I have to pay 20 pounds or otherwise I have to wait 3 hours until they prepare the room. She did not bother asking if I am Marriott Bonvoy member, I had to remind her that.
- heating in the rooms is not working well, you cant set the temperature in the room. Called the maintenance who told me that only few rooms have new heaters. Outside temperature is 4 C and storm.
- came down to eat at the bar and waited 40 min for the steak, looks like they changed the shift and forgot about my order.

Will see how it goes in the next days

Its just disappointing for Marriott

Pleasantly surprised by my stay here; comfortable, spacious and quiet room. A special mention must go to the staff, everyone I interacted with was extremely friendly and accommodating; I was made to feel very welcome.

I visited the Spa in the city and was not impressed. Less than an hour before my appointment, I received a voicemail telling me that my appointment time had been changed. It was now 25 minutes after my agreed time. Despite this I was kept waiting another 15 minutes. The massage however was excellent & Janine was very pleasant.

Leisure reception staff behaved like we were not there at all, berely said goodbye when we said first. We've been at the swimming pool first time, I said so however nobody said where we should go to the changing room. I find it rather not friendly especially I was with my disabled son. Simple question do we need any help would be more than appreciated, really. I don't know, maybe because we are not British??????

Really good hotel, Staff are friendly, Excellent service, this hotel also has a swimming pool, sauna & steam room..No jacuzzi.
Hotel has a spa for massage at reasonable prices.
I stayed here for 6 nights and really enjoyed it.
Would definitely come back

Good service, hotel is a bit dated, food was nice but late as the bar was busy. Pool was clean and okay for kids. It was more in line with a premier inn but we got a good price and a huge bed.

City centre hotel so good for shops etc...pain to find the entrance off the motorway....
And traffic noise a bit high...but really good food and very friendly staff, at a good price...
Limited parking so be early to get a space

The highlight of this hotel is defined the fitness club ! The rest is a bit old fashioned with a very strong smell of deodorant each time you pass de lobby. Staff is professional but not putting much effort neither. Overall a nice stay still.

Stayed here two nights and honestly.. Dissapointing. The beds felt extremely old. As if they should've been replaced a couple years ago, felt as if the springs were trying to come through. This hotel is by an extremely high traffic area!! Its noisy throughout the night. It will most likely keep you up. Its right next to two major highways!! Oh and there is free wifi in the lobby. If you want wifi in your room it's extra.

Worst place to park for an event. After paying 3 pounds on this ancient parking machine that is expecting for you to estimate how long you have been there for ( you don't get a ticket at the entry). They don't take payments at reception. Card payments/pay pal you name it are not available .

Terrible experience honestly .

Standard hotel. Nice enough with half decent location won't be disappointed won't be blown way. Does exactly what it says on the tin. The building itself is dated and I think that is what holds it back from being a great stay as it has many good aspects. But in a old building in comparison to the other hotels in Glasgow.

The staff at this Marriott are fantastic: courteous and professional. The rooms, however, are on their very last leg. This hotel will likely lose the Marriott label very soon or need to go through a major room and common space renovation.

Was there for one nights stay and would definitely go back. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. We went for breakfast and it exceeded my expectations of hotel food Xxxx
Didn't want to come home xxx

Not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Room decor is pretty dated with burn marks on the carpet, bash marks on the wall, terrible lighting, big crack in the sink and the tap head fell off at the bath.
Breakfast was ok but nothing to write home about.
The staff were all nice though and helpful, even at 2am when we discovered the duvet was a feather one!

Rarely do I get an opportunity to go to an event at the Marriott hotel.
Some say that the place needs a refurbishment in order to compete with the other larger hotels nearby.
But this hotel still looks great and classy.
Good food and a decent sized function room

Ancient smelly musty rooms

Glorified bnb tbh and for the price just book a premier inn

Id say a travel lodge is nicer than this place

The rooms are spacious, food is good and the service is nice. On the flip side, the rooms are not lighted enough and the fact that the hotel is right on the busy motprway means you can hear the vehicles in the rooms (my experience from room 502).

Older hotel in the center part of town. The rooms are nicely appointed, but some have mini fridges and some don't. Rooms on the lower floors are very noisy due to the close proximity to the trash bins. Food is what you would expect from a Marriott at the prices you would expect. Service is above average. The people working there are very conscientious.
