Worst experience ever! Rooms so small and such a lack of privacy! Every time a visitor came for my roommate, they have to walk by my bed, bumped into it, were terribly nosey! Couldn't use bathroom in room without an audience because it was on the roommates side. Re nurses: they were the only high point!

I am not happy with this hospital. My best friend is in there with legs that are swelling up and they told her to put her feet. I called the hospital to see what they could do and they said they d already seen her they are not considering the fact she could ve had a medical world reaction to a medication or anything else and the fact that she s having a major panic attack. Ers anymore just want to treat everybody like drug attic s Or mentally L and not look at the real issues.

A relative was taken into the hospital and we were told to wait in the parking lot and they would call with updates. The only updates we got is when we called. Being promised they would call. Four hours later WHEN WE AGAIN CALLED we were told they were going to keep him overnight. So we went home with a promise they would call when test results came back. Still two hours later we had to call. Do you realize how hard it is not to with your relative then not being updated as promise. Hopefully it never happens to them. What poor customer service

This hospital is great for when you need help. One experience that I had there was when I had a seizure and was brought there by an ambulance and the EMT's were really helpful to keep me ok. Once when we got there, I was brought there, they got me a room and kept good care of me when I was there overnight. All of my family goes there and we trust them with our health and keeping us ok. They also keep people calm when they are not ok and need help. - Mikayla

I'd leave 0 stars if it was possible. Half the aids don't wears gloves in the covid crisis. Waited 3 and half hours in the ER before seeing anyone. Couldn't remember whether they drew blood or not. Took vitals in the waiting room. Never ever again will I go here.

The doctors and staff members of Wilson's Hospital...

The doctors and staff members of Wilson's Hospital literally killed my father. My father slipped and fell and sustained major injuries because of the negligent staff members left him in the bathroom by himself after he had suffered minor stroke. They did not write up an incident report, they didn't even take him to get xrays or cat scans until after they had discharged him already. They gave him medication that he was allergic to; it made his whole body swell up from head to toe, they gave him someone else's medication, they did procedures that were not necessary... they made so many mistakes that it caused my father to die prematurely... If you love your parents and want good health care for them DO NOT TAKE THEM TO WILSON'S HOSPITAL... THEY KILLED MY FATHER and the sad part about is that they are literally getting away with murder.

ER visit was a disaster. ER DR had his mind made up and he gave inappropriate responses to question and answers that contradicted medical history in hospital records, reports of my allergists, personal physician and an ER trip to another hospital during which time I was coded. Arrogant attitude and said my personal physician was wrong about treatment I received that morning.

Overall happy with ER experience after moter vehic...

Overall happy with ER experience after moter vehicle accident.
Many people don't know how an ER works. Vague stomach pain, after a few initial tests, does not take priority over heart attacks, gun shot wounds and traffic accidents. That's why it's called an EMERGENCY room. If it isn't, yes, you will be waiting. It is not a private "wait on me room."
Sorry, just needed to vent a little at some of the other posts. If it isn't an emergency, then urgent care is a better option, or wait to see your regular doctor, and yes, please do have one of those.

If you want a hospital that cares about their pati...

If you want a hospital that cares about their patients in the Emergency Department, this is NOT the hospital to go to. I'm laying here in pain, severe pain, holding my stomach, rocking back and forth, tears spilling down my face, asked for Tylenol! Tylenol. Nurse cops an attitude with me because the doctor hasnt seen me. Like you can't even ask?!?! I've been here for 3 hours already! And all you've done is draw blood and take urine. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!!!!! If there was a negative star I would make it a -5 stars!

I'm sorry a nurse shouldn't have an attitude or be rude towards a patient who isn't being nasty to her and is begging practically for pain relief. And not even asking for a controlled substance, Tylenol, just Tylenol.

Ridiculousness!!

Only plus side, the sweetheart of a lab tech that drew my blood and the sweetheart who came and took my vitals while I cried in pain. At least she OFFERED to find out what was going on and even asked where my pain was.

My actual nurse, just seemed like I was bothering her and taking her away from her socialization in the hallway, in front of the nurses station. How can nurses like this be employed? For an "slow" day, how am I sitting here still 3 hours later crying in pain?

I'm going to be forced to walk out and go to another hospital that actually cares about their patients and their health!

I had never been so scared in my life. I was very sick and didn't know what the outcome would be. The doctors and nurses even the cleaning crew was so nice and amazing. The doctors told me everything straight up and how we were going to fix it. The nurse's took very good care of me morning, noon and night. They were absolutely amazing. By the end of my stay I knew exactly what was wrong with me and how to prevent myself from getting sick again. Thank you so much to the doctors, nurses and staff at Wilson Hospital in Binghamton you saved my life. Forever greatful.... Tashia

Worst hospital in the country. Don t ever go here. My son and I were stabbed and we spent a couple days here. Two of the nurses Kathy and Kim were absolutely rude and disrespectful. They should be fired. Not only that but they took my 11 month old baby s stitches out TOO EARLY and he had an open wound that was infected because of it. The doctor who did it is a man I forgot what his name is but most of these people here act like they have bare minimum experience. It was like a high school field trip. They had multiple group of students come into my room practicing how to check up on a patient. Sooooo unprofessional. This place should be shut down for real.

If i could give 0 stars i definitely would. It seams like they only cater to over doses anymore. Every single time i went to the emergency room for my self or my kids i was highly disrespected and treated like i didnt know what i was talking about exceot once. Most of the staff are extremely rude and some of them i feel like arent even qualified to be doing whatever job their doing. This emergency room is a joke. Id rather take a few extra mins and go to lourdes. However i will say their better then general. Not that thats to hard to begin with.

Nobody likes being in the hospital, but Wilson was above average. Nursing was friendly and considerate, doctors were pretty good, facilities are well kept. Had to dock a star for the terrible food. Really awful. But otherwise, a solid experience (that I don't care to repeat.)

My beloved and a friend were ambulanced here this ...

My beloved and a friend were ambulanced here this past April 2015 after a rollover auto accident on 81S. Thankfully I was comparitively OK, soy assessment here is from coherent observation.

The good:
1. They were open
2. They got beds immediately in the ER
3. One compassionate nurse found us food after being there for many many long hours

The rest (the bad)
1. Interns/students were charged with taking initial x-rays of her hurting arm. They compared notes on best angles and ways to take the x-ray. Meanwhile they were unnecessarily harsh with their handling of what we learned to be a commuted break in her upper Humerus. OUCH.

2. Especially true with the staff as the evening progressed, they seemed more interested in eating and socializing in the centralized nursing/staff area, than tending to their patients. After all x-rays and MRI were done, which took many, many painful hours while her neck was held immobile and a constraining rod up against her chipped chin, she was to have her bloody head examined. It sat untouched from 7pm until at least midnight when her ear was finally sewn back on, and it took several pleas to the staff to tend to her head which needed to be cleaned, removed from the puddle of blood it sat in. They did a mediocre/horrible job cleaning her wound which had been laying in dirt outside, stapled it closed with 11 staples, and we are now dealing with her ear which was sewn on... less-than-clean.

Even when they were "done" and our taxi awaited us at 4 AM (over 9 hours since arrival), it took multiple requests and 20 minutes to have one of the *many* chatting nurses/staff bring a wheelchair from the closet.

My friend, who had a bandaid on her stitched arm and had just been discharged, realized the bandaid soaked through with blood. When she asked the nurse for replacement bandaids, they replied "sorry. You are already discharged so we can't help you." FOR REAL?! After more complaining a nurse came over and wrapped her arm in a huge amount of gauze. Yay for help at least?

And after leaving town, we got phone calls from a nearby orthopedist asking why we missed our appointment.. huh? They aparently made a SURGERY appointment for us without consulting, with a local affiliated OS.

We were totally unhappy with the discompasionate, laid back, service at this facility. Two nurses were, in fact, absolutely LOVELY, but overall I just cannot say good things.

Will never go to Wilson Memorial again unless I am unconscious and have no choice. I delivered my last child there and the rooms were small and unclean and sharing a room with other people resulted in lack of sleep and having to go use the toilet with another woman's blood on it. The nurses themselves were friendly and caring and seemed pretty knowledgeable. HOWEVER, my child had to be admitted to ER and then pediatrics at 2 days old and I was told that I was starving my child by breastfeeding before my milk came in. They forced me to bottle feed her and did not even provide me with a pump for 10 hours after being there. They were absolutely terrible and it is the worst hospital experience I have EVER had. A hospital that big with a NICU really should consider expanding to have more private patient rooms. NEVER again Wilson.

Was air lifted to this hospital, and had a team of 30 nurses, doctors and surgeon waiting for me after an ATV accident and a massive internal bleeding from my kidney, thanks to DR. Peter Ojo, the urulogy doctors and their staff for saving my life. ICU nurses were great and i can't thank them enough, Specially Adam and Jeana. The only suggestion i have is they need to work on the follow up visits and calls. I live in NJ and was given the names, phone numbers and addresses of every doctor that was taking care of me, a day after i was released i had an allergic reaction on the medication and tried calling the doctors to no avail. Also it took forever to get my medical record.

Daughter went there for a emergency was told after testing and ultra-sound that her IUD had moved and was going further up inside here . Then was told well nothing they can do for her at this Hospital cause they only deal with trauma and strokes !!! Wait isn't this a hospital ???? The IUD can cause hemorrhaging if goes deeper and lead to emergency surgery or worse . But they ER doctor and nurses said no their problem they do not do that here and told her to just go and follow up with a obgyn . Never heard of hospital refusing to care for a patient or even telling them they wont care for them . But then again Look at the reviews of this hospital that may explain its self . Daughter will filing a complaint with state medical board .

Staff was very kind, very helpful throughout visit. I am the kind of person who rambles when nervous, and so I kept asking questions (whoops, sorry!), and the doctors still took me seriously and did their best to answer me if they could. Only issue was the wait time - seemed like things were a bit slow, but it was also fairly busy, it seemed like they were doing their best, I was okay with the wait. Have had some issues with staff in other local hospitals being disproportionately rude (maybe I am unlucky but it just kept happening!), but generally Wilson has a large amount of kind staff. I am very pleased. Thank you, Wilson hospital!

I went to the emergency room at this hospital and ...

I went to the emergency room at this hospital and spent 8 hours in there before I was seen for 5 minutes. It's a trauma hospital though so I expected that. This review is about their god awful pediatrics floor. I had my son a year ago and labor and delivery was amazing, maternity, amazing. He ended up sick and we had to take him back in. They blew a vein in his hand and his foot and never noticed. They were purple and I had to point it out to one of the very rude nurses. We were in there for 5 days and never received any information on why we were even there to begin with. No one told us anything until the 5th day when i forced them to after they tried to convince me to put an IV in my son's head at 4 am and I finally said enough. We had one nurse out of many that we saw in that 5 days willing to help us and who seemed to actually care about my week old baby. Seriously. Nothing in this world could make me take my son or any kid back to this horrifying pediatrics floor.

I presented in the ER a few weeks ago, I was brought there by ambulance for difficulty breathing. In the ambulance I was hooked up to an IV and O2. They were wonderful at keeping me calm and feeling safe.
When I arrived st Wilson Hospital I was whisked into a room, unhooked from my IV and hooked up to an EEC or EKG?? The 'nurse' was unfriendly and never smiled. I, in detale, explained how sick I had been the week prior to this event and how I felt very dehydrated etc ect. I was sent home aprox 2 hours after my arrival, never seeing the doctor, only saw the acutal 'nurse' once and that was upon check out. I can only assume the unfriendly girl that I thoughtt was a nurse, was not. I complained also of a sore throat.
I was sent home feeling like NOTHING had been addressed. I would have a least have liked the option of completeing the IV bag that I was giving in the ambulance, I was only allowed aprox 15mins of it. It hung over my head at the ER but no one bothered to hook it up. When I mentioned to the 'nurse type person' upon discharge, i explained that i was very dry and dehydrated.....her exact words were ' drink!!!"
wow....my whole family heard it and none of us could beleave it....'drink' hmmm...I replyed " I am but Im vomiting" ...she just walked out of my room.
I went to the OTHER local hospital a few days later with the same symptoms, very serious, very scary but I was in the car already so my daughter drove me in. They (the other hospital) were more the efficient ...compforting and professional. I had blood work , urinalysis and Xray within the first 1/2 an hour that I was there. NOW, thats more like it!!!!! When i came back from Xray, they hooked me up to IV to rehydrate me and also IV antibiotics.
My diagnosis???? #1 the urinary tract infection had gone UNTREATED and went into my bladder. #2 Low potassium level ( they gave me a dose of potassium immedieatly) dangerous..can effect the nerves around your heart etc. 3# Asthma...
No, I will NEVER return to UHS for myself nor will I let or encourage any family friends or stranger to seek care at that hospital. I understand making a mistake, but to make such a serious mistake and then be rude on top of that ....THERE IS NO EXCUSE.
DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU ARE SICK, YOU WILL NOT GET PROFESSIONAL CARING SERVICE.

I was told to go to Wilson hospital for further evaluation. This place is a joke. Staff are rude. This place is not big enough to handle the capacity of people that come in to be seen. Currently 5 hours in the waiting room. I get that there are traumas. I totally understand but 5 hours to wait to be seen is ridiculous. I asked how long for me to be seen I was told I was next to go in. Ya that was 4 hours ago. Shift change and the next staff at the window was rude and not helpful at all. I wouldnt have came if the walk in hadnt advised me to!! And the 5 star reviews I call BULLS**T!!!

This place is the most dysfunctional hospital I've ever seen! They leave you in pain after surgery, they can't do anything to help their patients. They want me to go traveling after as spinal fusion to somewhere where I can fax my medication list to what the provider gaved instructions on to prove to them she wrote it on it. I mean hey, thanks but I'm not getting in a car and going anywhere I am in pain!! Why don't you people do this that are getting paid to be there help your patients out??? What kind if cvircus am I in here? And I thought this was going to be a good experience.. Boy was I wrong! I've been passed of on at least 7 different departments today and still got no where. Still in pain still crying. The drs are telling me that I shouldn't feel this much poasin after surgery but do nothing to help. They just leave you after you walk out. Now my hand is going numb and I can't get any help from not one person. I've already spoken to Kimberly Burke she suggested I leave my house and fax this paper to my drs office. My God!! Really???? I just am not willing to get in a vehicle and be torchured with the pain! Don't try and help me.. that paper is somewhere in your facility get off your butt and help your patient!! Worst place to go for anything! So upset!

My sister actually passed away on January 8!th. At this hospital. I wish she would have been there months before. She have lived ! The compassion that was shown and the attention that was given to he r was above and beyond !! This was the most difficult day of our lives. I delivered my child there....im happy i didn't have anyone else in my room. I thought i was going to have my own room until i got there and it was a two bed room with another mother there being discharged. The nicu took great care of my child. The staff in the maternity ward few were nice and caring....i was up all night and day after having blood clots removed after my c section i was in pain and tired the nurse shoved my daughter in my arms even though i was nodding out from being so tired and told her i was afriad im going to drop her. She told me shes been in the nursery for a long time and u need to take care of her....biznitch plz! Im there for my comfort not theres! Maybe she should find another profession! I was unchecked on for hrs as a result i got bloodclots. The dr snapped at me they were trying to get the blood clots out she barked at me to keep my leg still. Biznitch u try keeping ur damn leg still when ur in alot of pain past 10 on the pain scale pain, i told someone how to do their job and told them to hold my leg down there was like 5 staff members in the room !. Then after i had to beg them after balling my eyes out and such for like an hr to give me more pain meds, they said the meds r on a schedule...if u were u tell everyone u kno not to have their baby there if they give a poop how there going to be treated! Also god forbid dont loose ur socks or ask for diff pair. walking around with nothing but my socks kept giving them to the nurses cuz they would get dirty and nasty, this nurse comes barks at me, make sure u dont loose ur socks we dont have many more to give out.my bathroom toilet was nasty covered in blood for a while. The nurses also told this caseworker i had i never took care of my daughter the whole time i was there! Which was bs! She was barely in the nursery after nicu! Some nurses i guess had it out for me i didnt take none of there poop they didn't like that i guess....shame on them! May the lord have mercy on them and help them change there ways. I dont want anyone else wether it be patient or visitor being treated like how i was treated. God forbid if i stuck up for myself! this isnt back in the day! us new mommies especially the ones who dont have anyone, need help and someone to care, and take care of us so us and our new angel feel comfortable and safe!

The worst hospital ever. I had posted a review before because I had a loved one in the hospital and had to deal with doctors/nurses who don t know how to communicate. I realized my review was removed because I posted the response that customer service gave me- that their staff are poor communicators and they are working on it. I called the number that uhs responds with to every review. NOT comforting to be told their staff doesn t communicate well. This is very infuriating when your live one is suffering in PAIN.

Undoubtedly the worst hospital I've ever been to. I have a neurological condition and my neurologist sent an order to the hospital that i MUST have an MRI and EGG in no more than 2 hours. 8 hours later i wrote my own discharge papers since they kept taking them away when they were about to discharge me. After leaving i called the head of the hospital who guarenteed she would have everything set up and would be taking care of it personally. When i got there 10 minutes later not only had she left but the nurse they assigned to me had no idea what was going on. AVOID THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL COSTS

If I could give a negative 5 star I would.

If I could give a negative 5 star I would.
I was there with my sister, we got there at 12:30am we were promptly told we would be there at last till 7-8am because the test she needed didn't have any tech or Dr on overnight. That being a pain in the butt we could understand.
There were several minor issues but I am only going over the worst. For me personally having sciatica, the chairs were so horrible that I was tempted to sign myself in due to severe back pain and the burning pain from my sciatica. Now on the huge issues. My sister had her test done a little after 7am and we waiting for the results when someone from billing came and asked my sister how she was going to pay the bill our if she was going to pay it, now let me mind u my sister is on the UHS Patient Financial Assistance Program and its not stated on the bill. The worker never even heard of the program and my sister asked "How can u give me a bill when we don't even know if they're going to want to do more tests? " the lady from billing was like oh didn't they get with u, ur being discharged. So after waiting like a half an hour or more i have my sister tying four a nurse to find out hat is going on. The nurse was like oh, let me see, she checked and told us yes and she will get someone. So in comes another nurse hands her discharge papers, tells her to sign here and u can go.
Now I am used to Lourdes ER the Dr ALWAYS discuss your diagnosis and treatment, our at the very least any and all test results.
VERY unprofessional I am currently looking for a new primary care physician and was seriously thinking of changing from Lourdes to UHS but now it's a big HELL NO!!!!!!!!

As long as I ve lived in this area I ve heard less than confident things about this ER, but let me tell you, the day came where I actually needed Emergency care. What should have been an absolutely traumatic experience was softened by the people here who took care of me. They are human beings here to take care of other human beings. They were absolutely wonderful, professional, realistic, and caring. I was so scared when I went in, and they explained everything to me, walked me through it, were tentative and informative. I really appreciate what these ladies did for me last night and I hope they all get the recognition and understanding they also deserve.

Came into the er with my 11 year old daughter at 930 on a Friday night.she had stomach pains. They took blood, urine and did a ct scan....still in er at 6am waiting for the results. Nurses are rude and unaccomodating. They seem to enjoy chatting as loudly as possible outside the bays rather than making sure their patients have everything they need. We have been here almost 9 hrs (4 hrs in waiting room) and not once have I been offered a drink or something. Never again. NEVER.

Trashiest hospital ER I ve ever been to. Save yourself and go elsewhere. I wound up at the ER by recommendation of the Walk-In, as I was having abdominal pain that seemed to mimic early stages of appendicitis. Waited in the waiting room for an ungodly couple of hours, and even had to be suddenly moved to a different waiting room because a woman found a bed bug crawling on her jacket. Awesome. So when they actually bring me to a bed, I m crammed into a room with 4 others and left in the corner for an eternity. Eventually, the doctor came in, poked my stomach, asked a question or two, then began to listen to my abdomen with her stethoscope. That was about a 3 second listen because she was distracted by the her name being mentioned on the loudspeaker. So she quickly put it away and said I don t think you have appendicitis, we ll look for ovarian cysts. Then she blew away with the wind, and never came back. Eventually they sent me for an ultrasound, and the sonographer was a breath of fresh air. Finally, a nice, care oriented human. But back to hell we went when she wheeled me back. I sat around for another 40 minutes and a nurse came in saying she had to start an IV, I asked what for and she said because you need it. I told her that I sure wasn t dehydrated when I left the walk in hours ago, so I didn t understand why I needed it. She couldn t give me a valid reason past you need it. Then proceed to stick the IV in the same spot they drew blood from, which didn t pan out well at all, bloody mess. Tried my tiny hand with a thick needle, still didn t work go figure, and eventually moved on to my other arm. I was then left in a corner to rot until I called and asked when the results would be back from my scan. They said they didn t know, then I became frustrated as I ve now been awake for 24 hours, hadn t eaten in over twelve hours, and staff kept telling me no food or drink. Eventually a nurse came back and told me that I d be discharged and handed me a box with a sandwich in it. Great. So where s the doctor to discuss the results of the scan? They said it was fine. So I still have abdominal pain, they had me sitting in there from 9pm to 5am, for nothing. Only a uterine ultrasound and a blood test. Intestinal blockage? Who knows, they didn t check. Any other cause of this pain? Who knows. 8 hours of wasted time for the most subpar care I ve ever received. Not thorough, not kind, worst place to be. So now, I m in the same place I was leaving the walk in, still in pain and absolutely no answer, but I m sure they ll still mail me the bill! Save yourself and don t go. You ll get better care elsewhere, I M POSITIVE.

If I could put zero stars I would. Absolutely ridiculous waiting times ,6 hours or longer ........ Wouldnt go back even if I was dying... It should be illegal to make people wait this long for health care.

My Dr and your nurses were perfect!

My Dr and your nurses were perfect!
Angel and Brandi- the discharge women were heartless, not compassionate and spoke opposite of every word my surgeon told me. They stood over me, as I was throwing up telling me if I stayed, insurance would not pay. My surgeon had just said we have to get this vomiting under control as well as the fever, which was up and down.
I started having anxiety attack, she yanked the vomit bucket out from under me (pulling tape and stitches out too) pain was terrible. I know from working in med field that you don't HAVE to leave in 2 days, especially after head surgery. Also, I was not to stand and I was going home alone.
My nurse and surgeon got another night so the could work on more nights. Surgeon came in and said IF you feel up to it you can leave after supper, of you're vomiting, stay. (No meds would stay down and pressure on temple was awful)
At 9:05 a.m., I got kicked out by discharge women.
Nurse had just given me clean bucket, again the discharge lady pulled it from under me saying "it's OK".
If they would've asked, they would've know since March I haven't been able to eat. I'm throwing up bile only which doesn't come in large amounts.
I left after they packed and got me out, came home, dizzy, vomited, fell, hit my head(surgery side x3)
Which is the repeat of PT that qualified me to leave.
We have double insurance, don't owe you a cent. Newly stitched up head, non working right side, (last time you forced me out..I had a stroke at home alone that night), being yelled at,Angel then Brandi taking turns, me suffering from anxiety and PTSD. First time it happened (prior visit) I excused as bad day for them. Now it's a pattern of abuse.

They are truly caring and professional. Yes there is waiting, but as a resident of this area, it's the only hospital in this area that I trust. Good vibes going on there and they share them with their patients.

Aside from check in being a miserable experience with all the people making it difficult for the kind welcomers to hear your name and sign you in...my care here has been excellent. Efficient and caring nursing staff.
It would be great if visitors had a separate line from patients to enter.

If I could give a no star I would don't go to this hospital if you are a vet.
They will lie and say your fine and will not fully test you at all to see what wrong with you .
They will not pay attention to if you can't breathe or have chest pains.
Thks to them my dad died right after he got to his door. These are a bunch of people how just want money for get people heath.
DON'T GO HERE I CAN'T express myself enough. Go to Lourdes hospital specially if you want to live longer..
I will not be giving you any info or do not wish to talk you at all.
You will be hearing from a lawyer.

My myelogram at Wilson went EXTREMELY WELL!!! No headaches, swelling, infection, etc. I had heard horror stories re: having a myelogram but with PA Greg Bretz and the team doing the procedure...NO PROBLEM!
The only "complaint" was that because of CoVid things were tough for the nurse/aides and the post procedure electronic chart keeping for the
patient was very slow and missing (and frustating) for the "end of the
line" nurses . Other than that, a Very" Good experience at Wilson! Steve Yourst

Over the span of 3 months I went to this ER repeatedly. My ABG was below 50%, I was in respiratory failure and at the very end of me going repeatedly, they refused medical care on me putting me into a room telling me nothing is wrong . I will never forget her name as long as I live, Heather. I m so glad I listened to my instincts and knew something was not right. I was later diagnosed with a rare lung disease from another hospital. They are LESS THEN professional, horribly educated and treat people LESS then the ground you walk on. I am pursuing the treatment I got there and the refusal of medical care by Heather and staff but please save yourself the troubles. If you need proper care or in an emergency, refrain. You will die before they care about you.

came in by ambulance with acute noninfectious gastroenteritis (was not told this, read it on the paperwork they sent home with me), i was vomiting and had severe diarrea and was dehydrated. Pain in the right side and abdomenal pain. they took a ct on my abdomen and gave me iv fluids. then told me they didnt know what it was and how to treat me, gave me pain pills and anti=nausea pills, and sent me home, i was still vomiting as i left, and outside as i was waiting for a friend to pick me up... it is now day four, i am still sick.... what kind of hospital sends a person home when they are still ill.... this isnt the first time, several weeks ago a friend was in with extreme pain in his side, they sent him home with pain pills, this side swelled up and he is still in pain... what is wrong with a hospital that sends people home sick and/or in pain. and when they released me, i walked out unattended still vomiting

First-time at this hospital, cardiology. The doct...

First-time at this hospital, cardiology. The doctors, nurses, and other staff were professional, accommodating, friendly and caring - and I appreciate all they did for me. Only three stars because my impression is that entire system is over capacity and probably under staffed because it took almost an entire day to get a room (I was lucky to get a room in the ER - another person's bed was put in the hallway). Took unacceptable amount of hours to get anything done - everything from pharmacy to reading and relaying test results. There were several instances of annoyance - one doctor ordered a stress test; once hooked up, another doctor supervising the test had questions and couldn't reach the doctor who ordered the test - so had to wait til the next day. Day of discharge, one doctor agreed to discharge me; 10 minutes later I was told I needed another test ordered by a different doctor. Communication!

I spent a total of 7 1/2 hours at Wilson Hospital ...

I spent a total of 7 1/2 hours at Wilson Hospital on February 18th 2020 (yesterday) d/t acute abdominal issue. Was directed after my CT scan to be seen by Emergency room. I was put in a room and sat there in tremendous pain for three hours, was never seen by a doctor. They sent in a totally clueless med student to assess me who then directed the doctor to give me an IM injection of ibuprofen..which I told them I have been taking alternating with Tylenol for three days and it wasn't even touching the pain. I was completely forthcoming about the fact that I am in recovery and subsequent remission. They chose to stigmatize me for this reason. They didn't even review the results of my CT scan as I asked for. I now know the CT scan shows a complex ovarian cyst 4.3 cm on my right ovary. This information was provided to me today from UHS Vestal Walk-in. What explaination can you offer me on this?

Elderly patient was presented to the ed with labor...

Elderly patient was presented to the ed with labored breathing, coughing and congestion. Triage was handled quickly by wonderful nurses who were stretched to thin. Thankfully patient was seen right away. Not only were the patient's symptoms warrenting admittance to the ed, but the waiting room is deplorable so thankfully we didn't have to sit in it for 4 hours. It was FILTHY and smelled like a stale bar room. The doctor was pleasant enough, but did not like I was asking too many questions. At one point told me to be quiet. (I am the care giver and the patient was not being honest about the symptoms.) I had asked for the results from blood tests and even though he had 3 clip boards in his hand he didn't have the answer, telling me the results were normal - when the specific numbers I had ask3ed after hadn't been normal since 1999. The diagnosis was a back pocket, bucket diagnosis of COPD with slight CHF. COPD covers so many things....and CHF is very serious!!! Dr gave 1 breathing treatment and released patient. I immediately sent an email through their website to patient affairs. That was 3 weeks ago. I sent two emails actually. The first one was about the deplorable, disrespectful treatment of the doctor toward the patient and the seriousness of the illness and overall lack of concern. I sent the second email after the patient was admitted to the hospital in another state with CHF (Congestive heart failure) and pneumonia (no blanket diagnosis of COPD). The patient spent 12 days in the hospital because of these careless people and faulty protocols. My first review of this hospital was deleted. Wonder how long this one will last? You deserve better than this hospital.

Editted 3-6-18
Above mentioned patient is now admitted to this God forsaken place and even though I have her room number I am transferred 3 times on their phone system and some nurse nicole barks at me over the phone she can't find her. Why? Why? Why? I told you what room she was in.

If you've ever wondered where C medical students end up. I'll tell ya.

I will never use their services or recommend them ...

I will never use their services or recommend them to anyone. Had a cat bite that was reported to Broome County Health. Went to ER for rabies and after sitting in ER for 2.5 hours, the Dr. proceeded to inform me that cats are rarely if ever carriers and there was no need to be treated (curious if they already knew this before telling me to have a seat and wait). He looked at a video of the cat and dismissed my concerns without examination. Then UHS sends me two bills totaling $225 one for their facility, the other for the Dr.

Called and called, wrote letters and the best this organization can do is put you in contact with these two patient relations coordinators (that keep posting their generic responses to these reviews) who then argue the hospital was neither in error for not telling you how much your bill would be before seeing you or at fault for billing for services not rendered. Nope. Brianna Spak wrote two form letters denying any culpability and her professionalism reflects poorly on UHS. In fact, one letter was returned for postage because of sloppy handling. They are out to collect from insurance and aren t to be trusted. It s a stark comparison from Urgent Care on the Vestal Parkway where they were able to tell you EXACTLY how much services would be before the Dr even examined you.

Delivered our baby here and had wonderful, caring nurses in both labor and delivery as well as maternity units. They were all knowledgeable and we felt completely cared for. Katelyn in L&D was wonderful!! Only downside was not having a shower in our room on maternity unit. Luckily we did not have to share a room but my rating would have been lower if we had to share the room bc that means share the bathroom which is not ideal or sanitary!

The staff was all very nice and fixed my problem. But their billing department continues to charge me more than insurance allows. I have no problem the first time it happens, but no one is fixing the underlying issue, and it's now happened three times. My insurance company said they are opening a case against them, so we'll see.

Yesterday took my very sick 15 year old to the walk in because he had a fever and pain in his abdomin. They were unable to determine what it was so they recommended we go to the Emergency Room. We checked in at 5:20. His vitals were taken right away and we were told to take a seat and he would be called to have blood drawn. 2 hours later he had blood drawn. After an hour and a half I asked the Front desk if they forgot him and she acted like I was personally offending her! We sat there for another 2 hours until we were
Called in. We then sat in the room for another 45 minutes. The Dr came in and was there for MAYBE 5 minutes, ordered a flu test and chest X-ray. After another hour the nurse came in and said the flu test was positive and she would get us released. After another 45 minutes I pushed the call button and asked her to release him. She said the Dr was in another room and would be quite some time and we would have to wait. Oh not a chance I said. She said I would have to be sign a release that said I was leaving against medical advice. Ummm. What medical advice. We had been there 7 hours and just sat there. We left. I am appalled about how this ER is run! They need a manager in there that actually knows what they are doing. There was a woman in the waiting room with a bloody nose that would not stop and she was given a basin in the waiting room! She had been sitting there for 5 hours! And another pregnant woman, in the waiting room throwing up in a grocery bag!!! The nurses in the triage room just sat there! Gross! If I could give no stars I would. If there is really something wrong with you this is NOT the place to go.
