I am a pass holder new to the WWC this year, and I love this place! The park is in a good location, close to the highway and easy to get to. There is plenty of parking, even on a busy Saturday you can find a place to park, even if you will have to walk 5 minutes from the back.

The cost is very reasonable compared to a day pass for Carowinds. $60 for an all day pass with plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Week days are better to get through the lines, and weekends you will be waiting about 10-15 minutes for the bigger activites, zip lines, rafting, etc.

The park is very clean and the staff are very friendly and ready to help you get to the activities on time. I am so glad I bought a pass and would gladly do it again!

The ultimate outdoor playground. Lots of options to keep everyone entertained. Miles of running & biking trails, zip lining, high ropes courses and of course white water rapids. The property butts up to the catawba river, allowing folks to paddle board and kayak. You could really spend an entire weekend here and not run out of things to do. Day and single activity passes can be expensive.

Visited site on a Wens afternoon to buy a few Christmas Gift Cards. Was told at the gate I had to purchase a Day Parking Pass even after explaining I was only purchasing Gift Cards. With no other option I reluctantly paid the fee for less than a 5 minute stop. Not too pleased.

Literally only giving this place 2 stars because it's pretty, other than that it deserves 1. They do not care about your safety here. We went rafting and I felt so unsafe that I got out of the raft early but my husband stayed in. He and another man fell out which is fairly normal in whitewater rafting, yet they did not seem concerned at all about saving them. Our raft guide didn't call out any instructions and that lead to unsafe conditions which made the 2 guys fall out. Well after we finished the rafting horror we decided to try biking the trail. BIG mistake. Trails are not clearly marked and nobody is concerned with bikers safety. Overall I'm just happy that we left with some bruises and light sprains rather than in an ambulance.

We had a great time. The rafting was our favorite. There is no need to book your rafting trip ahead of time and pay the extra 5 dollars a person. When you get your tickets they ask if you want to schedule your rafting trip free of charge. Which will be for the first available time slot. If you enjoy the rafting trip just go to the gift shop and schedule another, again bnb it will be for the 1st available time slot.

The rock wall, zip lines, and rope courses are also a lot of fun.

We also spent a good bit of time kayaking and paddle boarding. These events take place on the catawata river. Since we were there on the 4th of July the river was busy with boat and jet ski traffic. The current was extremely strong which made it difficult to return to the dock.

Love the overall family friendly outdoor (including leashed dogs) experience! So many other things to do for all ages. A bit pricey, but well worth it especially with the concert series.

Don t miss this place! Not for profit and they do a great job. If you live locally, buy a season parking pass and it is like free yoga, music and events all year long. Food is good and reasonably priced.

Exceptionally mediocre facility with questionable cleanliness and history of brain eating amoeba deaths. It is more of an amusement park than actual athletic training facility, which makes sense given the USA won ZERO of the 49 rafting medals in Rio at the Olympic games.

Definitely worth the visit if you're in Charlotte. Plenty of things to do for the whole family.

Great place for mountain biking, zip lining, white water rafting, kayaking, rock climbing, and beer drinking (for those of age).

I drove up there from Georgia last summer. Our raft guide was John Connor. The raft guides are usually very fun and pleasant but John Connor had the biggest attitude. First, he didn't command loud enough so we couldn't hear his instructions. Because of that, we weren't in sync and he would get frustrated about that even though we asked nicely if he could speak louder. A few of also us got injured and when we asked where we could get aid he completely ignored us. Never greeted us in the beginning or at the end even when we said bye to him. After everything, he decides to cut our time short. We asked why that was the case, maybe we were wrong, then that's okay, so that is the purpose of asking. He snaps at everyone and said because we all fell out of the raft (even though he wouldn't speak up for his commands). But we were the first ones back and the first to leave! The other family sharing the raft was extremely upset too. They went to complain to the manager and the manager didn't do anything. Avoid JOHN CONNOR at all cost! The other guides were so much nicer!

This a very fun place to go to with the family for some outdoor recreation. It has something for everyone to do. I would caution people that they are not doing a good job with COVID precautions. No social distancing, barely any PPE, just hand sanitizer in some lines. On the weekends it will be extremely packed.

This place is amazing. There is so many activities the do in which adults as well as children would enjoy. I would recommend arriving early to sign up for the White Water Rafting activity as the seats fill fast. I will be revisiting soon.

Bring the kids and lots of sunscreen. The sit-down restaurant is fairly priced and has great burgers. The pasta dish seemed a bit too spicy for my friend, but I think it's a curry dish. Wish we had room for dessert but the burgers filled us up

Really cool place to spend a day. Ziplining, rock climbing, white water rafting, paddleboarding, biking, food, drinks, whatever you want to do. Definitely something there for the whole family. Staff is super friendly.

This place is just plain fun. Huge rock walls, rappelling, seriously long zip line runs... Oh yeah... And a man made river rapids that so nice the U.S. Olympic team uses the place for training.
Prices are reasonable for the sheer amount of activities available to you. You can buy a big general day pass that lets you try lots of different things or you can buy passes for specific things. The staff is very knowledgeable and eager to teach (much appreciated)
I left this place asking myself how come I'd not heard of it before. Many thanks to Subaru for hosting an event there and inviting me out. It's an awesome place and very close to Charlotte.

Had a super dank time getting to whitewater raft with guide Brandon and a bunch of fun on the ropes courses!
A word to the wise, the locker room lockers are not worth it if you need to be in and out of it. Locks you out every time.

Miles of free hiking/biking trails...I've hiked them ALL.
If you're athletic this is a prime destination. They have sports in the woods, sports on land, sports in the water. Climbing walls, white water, flat water. Challenging/easy. Adults-kids. Pet friendly. Smelly athletes friendly. Bring your hammock to hang in the trees and relax after your workout. Or just come on Thursday or Sat for the relaxing atmosphere to enjoy the bands playing music.
Restaurant food, or cafeteria style grab-n-go. Thirsty?..try a local beer ;-)
$Parking fee $6/car, or pay for the year $60 (worth it).
$200/membership fee(per person) gets you in all year, do any activity you want/any day of the week/use of any of their equipment

This parking mismanagement is getting very frustrating...I'm looking at tons of empty spots in the main lot and the attendants are forcing some into the overflow while letting others pass through FOUR HOURS before the River Jam
I'm a season ticket holder have been since you opened...expect a bit better service to loyal customers who never complained about a fee being instituted for trails that we built.

We were having fun at the park and used the bin system. When we went back to the bins to retrieve our items we counted our money and we were short $140. The bins were secure in the employees hands but miraculously $140 dollars was stolen out of 2 separate wallets. I will never use the bins again. No compensation and they didn t handle it in a caring manor.

We come here a lot just for the nature trails and just recently attended a concert with the the riverjam concert series. It was quite spectacular to have people zipline above your head while you sit and enjoy a concert on the grass. And all that for just 6$ parking. :) great place.

The Whitewater Center offers many activities. I had a chance to enjoy the zip line, rafting, rock wall, adventure course, and river kayaking - all in one day. I could spend at least a half a day doing just one of these things. Lines can get a little crazy midday on a weekend. It is unfortunate that part of the wait is the instruction, which one has to hear over and over again for the same activity. The Center should really consider streamlining this process. If you sit through one climbing harness instruction or a rafting instruction, that should be good to last at least the day.

Tried the Canyon Zip as a novice, loved it, but it was short-lived! Also did the flatwater kayaking on the Catawba River, which is 90 min and well worth it. It was a beautiful day outside and I also just enjoyed walking the paths around the campus.
