My group and I had a great time with the may activities that are offered from whitewater rafting to climbing and ziplining. However they dont allow for you to bring water from outside. We had to stand on hawk mountain for over 2 hours (with no water) and none in the immediate area for guests to have, we then were on the figure 8 which was not explained on how long it was, what it entailed and that there would be no water for another 30 to 45 minutes until the course was finished. They should have water stations on the trees for guests to not incur dehydration. I tried to switch to just do the zipline instead of figure 8 but was not allowed to. The staff just had to take off the other gear and let me preceed. Not enough gear to keep the line moving.

I love this place. It is amazing. There is rafting, rock climbing, flat water paddleboarding, kayaking, hiking, bike trails, yoga, music, high ropes, ziplining. I bought a season pass this year, since I plan to come 4 times this summer. It is so worth it.

The food is a little expensive, but I don't mind when I'm there. The sweet potato fries are delicious, and I like every burger I have tried so far.

The staff is really knowledgeable about outdoor sport safety. They do a great job making it an enjoyable experience.

Amazing place to get out and be active. If you're local, the season pass is a must. $200 flat gets you access to everything for a year. Kayaking in the Catawba river, rock climbing, mountain biking, and rafting every single time is well worth it. The events they have are great, beers are priced way better than you'd expect, and they have a pretty good selection. One of my favorite parts about living in Charlotte.

Great atmosphere and activities. I have an annual pass, but it would be worth it to just pay for parking and walk around or sit and watch the whitewater rafting. Beer and food is a little on the expensive side, but not out of line for Charlotte. The Whitewater Center is dog friendly and you can even take your dogs with you on the flatwater. It would be nice if you could skip the lines to get a wristband with your annual pass, as they can get long. Masks aren't really enforced but you are mostly outside. There are several shaded areas to sit or you can bring your own umbrella or sunshade and set it up on the grass.

I'll admit that I'm not super outdoorsy. So this place isn't of big interest to me. The parking is expensive and not even paved. The facilities are crazy nice though. The ziplines and ropes courses are super cool although you have to climb a lot of steps. They have good food and drinks overlooking everything. Bike trails, climbing walls and even climbing walls that overhang water so you can free climb then fall into the water. They have a band stage and a beer garden. Of course the big attraction is the man made whitewater course and lake.

Awesome place for outdoorsy people. They have several events that go on as well which are always nice to attend. The only thing that kinda stinks is there's nowhere to get a quick bite to eat, just the restaurant and a BBQ place that I believe is only open for events.

This place offers so many cool adventure activities! I didn't get to participate in everything I wanted to but the stuff we did was a blast! The paddleboarding, kayaking, and white water rafting was such a great time. I also learned a lot! Definately want to come back sometime

Visited today ( 9-7-2019 ) with my family for our company's employee appreciation day. A great facility for this and a fun event. Many activities such as climbing walls, zip lines, white water rafting and kayaking, flat water kayaking and paddleboarding, food and beverage options, a bandshell for music, biking and hiking trails...a nice family friendly place.. I look forward to returning in the future!

Beautiful place to go and do some ecce, whether it's on one of the many bike tracks or canoeing on the man made rapids. Great spot to even take a picnic blanket and lie in the sun. Does get very busy on a hot day. Only downside is there's very few shady spots around the centre of the park.

I guess it's a pretty cool premise, I just wasn't impressed by it. May have had higher expectations due to all the talk around the facility in Charlotte.

If you enjoy outdoor activities that you can't typically do on a weekend, like white water rafting or zip lining give it a shot. You may enjoy it.

I prefer my nature to be more "natural"

We went for the ice skating rink. Not to skate, just to watch. Its a great sized rink and they have some fire pits with chairs where you can sit and relax. The music at the rink got on my nerves. I thought they would be playing something recognizable or maybe even Christmas music. The hot chocolate was TERRIBLE. It was basically hot water. I don't recommend getting it.

This place has it all. Trails to walk and bike, zip lines, obstacle courses, white water fun, and more activities. Great food and beverages too, and in the middle of a beautiful piece of God's country!

The WWC is a great spot for anyone into rafting, zip-lining, biking, hiking, and rock climbing. They have a variety of activities one would normally have to drive much further away for. They have free music on Saturdays during the summer months. There is a good restaurant onsite as well as a beer area on the island in the center. There is a fee for parking.

It is nice to have such vast variety of outdoor activities all day long everyday when you want.not far away from the middle of city; hike, bike (closes if storms day after day like this year), jump, zip line, all levels of kayak, paddle board on river, and man made white water rafting. It is good for someone who wants water raft experience with choices of levels; advantage or family. If you have been white water rafting on a real river this might not be challenging for you. Also, check for shoes and clothing requirement before get in line for orientation. You need shoes that won't come off tour feet and a shirt for zip lining. Shoes required for rafting. Otherwise you walk and back to your car is not fun in heat. Drink plenty water and sun screen. Have fun!

Super day out with the family. Winter trails, bicycles, ice skating, good food and drinks, and just fun all around. No white water though. Course closed for the winter. Will be open again in spring. Come and bring your pooch, pet friendly. You'll really like it and have a grand day. Often in weekends during summer, there are open air concerts. Ample parking, reasonable per day cost.

White water Rafting was awesome. Trails not well marked. They need better signage. Asked about Mt. Biking on Sat 10/10 the guy on the phone did not "mention" the 40+ mile race that was going on that day on the trails. We were not racing. But to much traffic on the trails.

Wonderful

I love this place. I enjoy going there for trail running. All the activities they offer are just so much fun. They also count with bar a restaurant which is so convenient after a long day of exercise. 100% recommended. Be ready because you may need some sunscreen! I hope you also enjoy your visit!

White water rafting was outstanding! one of the downfalls is that the instruction time consumes too much time. It needs to be condensed because each adventure requires another set of instructions. The zip line was like standing on a line at Disney -over an hour for a 12 minute trip on the zip line. my other suggestion is that not all of us can do the adventures due to medical conditions and it would have been nice to have some sort of wave pool or lazy pool that would have helped cool me down. There aren't many areas to sit that we're shaded...

I went here to watch the lights with my family for Thanksgiving. It was very beautiful. It was really cool to see the ice skating circle and all the across that you can do here. Im definitely coming back to do the other activities that this center has to offer. The staff was really friendly and the place was beautiful to walk around. Everyone should definitely visit this place

If this place didn't have whitewater rapids, mountain bike trails, zip lines, paddle boards, canoes, high ropes courses, numerous beer serving areas, restaurants and various climbing walls it would be a big area of nothingness...it has the former so get your arse down there.

My family ( my hubby plus 4 dependants came along w/ me) did the flat water rafting. It was fun for all ages ( my youngest was 5 and oldest in the group was 44 yrs of age). Pls remember that you are dealing with natural nature!!! My daughter and I ended up very close to a snake!!! Don't care if it's poison or not! Lots of things to do there we saw. So go when it first open and enjoy a whole day there.

Great place to exercise and have family activities. With COVID-19, a great place to provide children outdoor time. I just had to make sure to wear a mask when in close proximity to the employees or other visitors.

This was my first time at the white water center. And let me tell you I had an absolute blast.

The park is clean, well maintained, and run by staff that are just a pleasure to be around.

The staff makes sure you are 100% aware of what is going on and you aren't ever guessing if your safety is questioned

I will be going back
