So much fun! We go here as often as posible and it never gets old. Sometimes we don't even do any activities and will just watch the rafters or listen to music. Great craft beer selection too.
It's a beautiful place to spend the day. A great place for white water rafting and kayaking. Also has two restaurants, an ampitheater, bike paths, zip lining, climbing walls, young people, many with dogs.
I have been here two times and both where breath taking literally. Plus the staff was great and very helpful.
Hiking, watching, biking, rafting, ziplines and food. Sometimes music. Staff is great. If you like being outside you can't go wrong here.
Went to River Jam concert series. It is great place to catch live band..not too crowded and great IPA selection
Food trucks, craft beer, events, concerts, and a ton of activities.
If you like athletic challenges and loads of fun, this is the place to be. I would go there every weekend if I lived close by. Lots of mountain bike trails, zip lines and white water challenges. Plus free open air music entertainment.
Amazing experience. So much available for the day pass. 100% going to return.
Is super fun, plenty of things to do if you go you gotta try the water drafting!!!
I have had the pleasure of taking the raft guide course and going on the full canopy zipline tour here and I always have a great time. The staff are experienced, professionals that go the extra mile to ensure safety. Great team and alot of activites to participate in.
Everytime I come the trails are closed and then I have to still pay full price, when are they going to pro rate this stuff.
Super cool place, cheap for a long adventure day, super cool staff and lot of things to do
One of the greatesr places for having fun in charlotte. Great biking, climbing and rafting activities. Super friendly staff. All events and festivals are superb music is always great.
Really cool outdoor venue. Loved the Lights in the woods trail. Really like the selection of beers and fire pits situated around.
They absolutely have to come up with better traffic flow for big events like Tuckfest. Make a deal with CMS and have people park at school and shuttle to the front entrance or make everyone come from the same side of the road to avoid left/right turn waiting. Food options and quality could/should be improved.
Great place for white water, biking, ropes course, rock climbing, hiking, and paddle boarding. Live entertainment on Thursdays and Saturdays in the summer
Great for teenagers and up.. nothing for smaller children but to look at the "boats going by". It would be nice if there was something for the younger crowd, until then I think we will find other places to go.
Great place to go for outdoor activities like biking rock climbing ropes courses and rafting
Love this place! Tuck fest is a great time to go! So much energy
If you love being active and outside, this is your place. There's something for everyone; rafting, zip lines, water sports, MTB trails, live music, good food and craft beer. Whether you're looking to get a workout in, try a new activity or want to hang up your hammock and relax, this is your spot.
Really fun place. It's an amusement park for outdoor enthusiasts! Fun paddling, mountain biking, climbing, and more. Good food, good drinks, and great music!
We love this place so much we had our wedding reception there a year ago... get the season parking pass, well worth it
Fun and beautiful place to just go and hang out on a Thursday or Saturday and listen to music and grab a drink and/or some food... but the best thing of course is the man-made and natural beauty of an amazing place to have an adventure of a lifetime. Completely worth the season pass!
If you are outdoorsy, Love great music and beer, and want a variety of sports to conquer all in one setting this place is for you! It s a must do with out of town guests. I love their free yoga, the rock climbing walls, watching the whitewater kayakers and rafts and hiking their trails. There is so much to do! Check the events calendar out on the website. It s informative to help plan your trip. This photo was taken at the St Patty s day festival where they turn the water green. Enjoy!
Loved walking the trails as a family. Staff is always nice.
Always an amazing experience. Staff is very friendly ands helpful.
This place is incredible! I'm into athletic adventures and it's all about that. I'd definitely come back.
Also got to check out Brew Stash Bash and it was super fun! Lots of great local breweries.
Evening concert was sweet as well - want to stay for more of that next time.
Lots to do, with lots of adventure, highly recommend!
Excellent place to spend a full day in fun !! Many different activities and things to do. I recommend it 100%
Rafting and ziplines and rockwalls and trails are great! But just hanging with your dog listening to good live music with a great selection of craft beers is often even better!
Very informative place to go and enjoy a good time white water rafting and zip-lining in all kind of other outdoor activities awesome Place check it
Very fun place to go with the family and spend the whole day.
I purchased a few day passes for myself and some friends of mine. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 our trip was cancelled. I do not live in North Carolina and don't know when I'll even be close to the area again. The company does not offer any type of refund, it doesn't matter if it's the fault of the guest or a NATIONAL crisis, don't expect to get your money back. The solution they gave me was to come back in 2021 ( a year from now). Pretty terrible policy, seems like the company doesn't care about their valued guests.
Amazing place like no other. Climbing towers, kayaking, rafting, canopy tours, zip lines, bike trails, hiking, and more. Not to mention the live music, craft beers, and restaurants.
We visited the Lights display and loved it! Wear old shoes it can be a little muddy..
Recommend going. Great for all ages.
There's a lot of of activities for the outdoors types.
Fresh air, beautiful landscaping, water noise, exciting activities!
Liiiiiiiinnnnnneeeeeeessssssss. Awesome experiences, unless it rains. The managers must be real stiflers because the employees have no bend, like when you get one climb at the deep water solo during your window, but can't reenter until after all of the next group goes first,
The vibes this place gives off is really calming. I really enjoyed every moment here.
We had a great time going. So many things to do. Can't wait to go back!
Dont need to post anything about the whitewater center. It pretty much speaks for itself. GO CHECK IT OUT. Perfect place to get active outdoors or simply hangout.
Super fun place for any kind of adventure. I've only don't the flat water kayaking and paddle boarding so can't say much about the other activities, but just that in itself is a lot of fun and good all-day activity. Only allowed on the water for 90 minutes at a time though which goes quickly.
There's so much to do here, that it's amazing! And with the great food and drink and entertainment, you could pretty much just live here lol
Excellent! I love running the trails. There are so many of them and most connect to each other. So, you don't have to run the same route each time. And Great live music through the whole summer.
Always a fun day full of activities, dinner, music and beer!
Fun place to go to spend the entire day. Be sure to wear closed toe shoes, and a change of clothes if you do the water rafting. Check the site for weight limits for the different activities. They've got zip lines of varying heights and levels, some in the woods on hotter days. Rope courses of varying heights and levels. You do have to book a time to do the rafting, so do that when you first get there. They've got bikes to rent, but if you have younger ones, the bikes are mainly for adults, I'd ask what the wheel height is based on your child's height. It has man made rock walls to climb, and even music at the end of the day. They've got a place to shower and change at with lockers for rent, decent size. I'd bring a second pair of shoes because you may get soaked at the rafting, and don't want to blister your feet by then walking around the rest of the day with wet shoes or being on a rope course with wet sneakers.
I do wish they'd have more shaded places and seating while away from the front of the facility.. especially for those of us who come along but don't participate. So be ware. There are really no water fountains except at the front location, or where bathrooms are so on a hot day that can be a slight inconvenience.
Otherwise it was fun to watch if you don't participate, and a long hard day if you did it all. You can purchase a day pass or individual passes to specific things - catered to however you want to do it. The busier it is, the less you do in a day. We just went the last week of September (2018) and it took about 1.5 hours to go on one zip line, apparently their busier one (the tallest one - not in the woods). The others were quicker, but between doing the zip line, and the rafting that took us almost 3 hours.. if you do other smaller activities you may get more done in that same time frame..
Awesome place and great vibe no matter the day you go! Truly enjoy just walking around be able to grab a drink and relax. Many things you can do, from rafting, to biking, hiking, rock climbing, zip lining or just grabbing food. I did the white water rafting and had a great time. The guides are funny and helpful, they want you to have a good time. Highly recommend.
I walked up, looked over the edge and thought, "This is like heaven." There were people whitewater rafting, and rock climbing and zip lining over your head and amazing dogs EVERYWHERE and folks sauntering around with microbrews. So so so fun. Wish I had a whole day to spend.
Its pricey if you go with a large family. The hiking trails are fun. My baby cousin had a blast
Tuck Fest was a great time. Lots of people, didn't feel overcrowded. Parking was comfortable walking distance. Line to get in wasn't too bad depending upon time of day.
A great place to go for outdoor lovers, with friends or a date. Have rafting, zip lines, ropes course and more.
Fun! Fun! Fun! Raft guide was awesome! Too much to do in one day. Ropes course was challenging. Zip line line was too long. Fun watching others challenge themselves.
Over priced generic outdoor experience. Go to the mountains and take a tent. You'll save $200.00 and not get frustrated with large crowds, waiting on everything and the over priced foods.
Fantastic activity center, make sure you buy they parking pass at the beginning of the year!
We love the Whitewater Center! It's a GREAT way to get some exercise with tons of great activities.
Once-in-a-lifetime experience, nowhere else like this place. River Jam is the best summer outing in Charlotte.
This place is awesome. If you are an outdoor kinda person and like, zip lines, rafting, rope bridges, rock climbing, and mountain biking you must go here. Staff is friendly and awesome. So much do to and really fun.
Refreshing time kayaking on and swimming in Catawba.
What an incredibly fun day at the Whitewater Center! All of the activities are fun and challenging. Our raft guide, D-wayne, was AWESOME and definitely made our adventure more memorable. Great beer, great food. A must if you are in Charlotte, NC!
Zipline, obstacle courses, climbing walls, and whitewater are great. You can also ride mountain bikes on trails. Everything you need is provided. You need to sign up for a whitewater time. Where close toe shoes. You can rent storage for dry close and shoes or you can walk out to your car and return at your liesure. Restaurant has a good selection and there is a shop that offers clothing, souvenirs, and snacks.
Nice place to get active . Get your walk in, bike in, canoe in ,zip line in or even climb walk . With be returning to get all that in .
Great day out and not expensive if u bring own bike and kayak. Activity passes expensive so might as well go early, stay all day and mKe all access price worth it. My tips: Sign up online and bring own drink cooler for before and after activities at the car because Gatorade and non alcohol drinks are rediculously priced. Definitely go to music festivals, 4th of July celebration and rock climbing competitions.
A Lot to do here... Great for mountain biking... Great for dogs... live music...great for kids...A little pricey
Great place for a heck of a lot of fun. I recommend the ropes course for the best bang for your buck. There are only so many things for kids, most stuff they need to be at least ten for.
Great outdoor place to hangout. Lot of trails for running and biking.
One of my happy places. Lunch outside with excellent service and great food.
Very tasty and a great selection of meal items to choose from. We like to go when the weather is nice enough to dine outside and watch the people going through the rapids in their kayaks or the large rubber rafts. The rubber rafts carry about a dozen people and on a number of occasions we watched as they got overturned and had to re board the raft.
Really enjoy all the great activities you can do here. Raft, kayak, zip line, rope courses, walk, run, casual bike, hard core mountain biking. Leave exhausted!
Don't miss this incredible experience. Love River Jam and look forward to next season.
What a fun post. So many cool things to do...or watch. Go have an adventure and make a memory.
