Gem of a place. A cultural high point in the town centre that should be cherished. Great for a relaxed coffee as well - doesn't seem too busy which is great if you want to meet for a chat or to dissect the film you've just seen - I always go there.

Beautiful cinema, with gorgeous decor and sumptious chairs, tickets are slightly cheaper than the cineworld round the corner and tyneside is a much better experience with a lovely bar and cafe too. The main screen is a little small but the sound is excellent and the seats are layed out well. Best cinema in newcastle!!

Great food and fantastic service at the Sambuca restaurant highly recommend.
Sunday market for morning breakfast and treats as you take in the sights along the Quayside.

This cozy and small cinema is great to watch less mainstream movies.
However, I am rating it 4 stars because they do not sell freshly made popcorn and I actually love having popcorn at the cinema.
Hope they change their mind about this.

Gorgeous cinema, comfy and spacious. Very helpful staff. Reasonable price for snacks and drinks. You can use meerkat movies here too but have to do it in person and they have good rates for students and consessions. Ideally situated in the city centre. It has a restaurant and coffee shop attached both of which are lovely to visit at the same time as going to cinema or just totally separately.

A great selection of niche and art house movies in a recently refurbished set of cinema screens. The adjacent cafe bar is also brand spanking new. The atmosphere is buzzing, friendly and warm. It attracts a more hipstery crowd . It's all terribly civilised and that great when you're after a quiet drink or bite in a more refined and laid back spot

The best cinema in the whole North East. So authentic to have a classic cinema to enjoy amongst all the chains in the modern world. For the best (and certainly most comfortable) experience in film, I recommend Tyneside Cinema to the highest.

The Tyneside Cinema is in my opinion the jewel in the crown of Newcastle. Always has a great selection of films on. The cinemas are all great spaces, all slightly different.
Several cafes which all have a different character and are all great.
I won't watch a film at any place other than the Tyneside in Newcastle and neither should anyone else.

It was an enjoyable day with our ADHD group. We had a room to ourselves where the children played games then went to a different room to watch Peter Rabbit and all the children had popcorn and juice. Staff were lovely

The best Independent Cinema bar none - lovely staff, great screens and fantastic savings for Friends, not to mention regular small Film Festivals and big screen revivals as well as the last regular Newsreel screenings in the UK in a stunningly renovated building. What's not to love?

Going to the Tyneside Cinema is like meeting up with a much-loved, old friend - who you feel at home with but who is still full of wonderful surprises.

I've been going to the Tyneside for years and the eclectic, stimulating range of films just keeps getting better. It offers a whole wide world of film discovery - if I could I'd go EVERY day!

Wonderful place that's so busy, lovely clean environment with pleasant staff.
Great support to people of the North east with their attention to bringing homeless people into the cinema with their scheme.

A must visit in Newcastle. Shows a wide range of mainstream and independent cinema, plus three lovely spaces to eat and drink. Very inclusive space, feel comfortable visiting alone or in a group to watch a film or grab a drink.
