The seats were comfortable and had good leg room. The live screening of All Our Sons was watched by approximately 9 million people. I bought a treacle toffee ice cream (some exotic flavours!) Which was nice.

Fantastic place with old style cinema screens. The place serves nice food and drink in the bar an restaurant, and most importantly of all you tend to get a nice respectful audience that don't talk or use mobile phones during the movie, unlike some places

The tickets aren't incredibly expensive, the movie choice is definitely okay, the seats comfortable, and the building is beautiful. The toilets are clean, free, but at level 2 for men. If you are going for the first time, it is good to know that the popcorn and other food are available in the hall itself. Highly recommended!

The best cinema in Newcastle by far. It has so much personality and each screen is different, but each are equally as comfy and immersive. They show a range of films, from the latest blockbusters to art house international and everything in between, along with an equally diverse range of events and screenings. They also have an excellent cafe and bar, which has a brunch and evening menu. Highly recommended.

Lovely building, lovely people, good choices of films to watch. Classic circle has leather armchairs, for one or two people, with space for drinks beside the seats for drinks/sweets.
Cafe and cocktail bar too.

With a perfectly executed cross between modern and classical cinemas, the movie is only half of the fun. Tyneside Cinema looks stunning and provides a great bar and food. They also have a wide range of showings available nowhere else, such as dementia-friendly showings and classical movie replays.

Very cramped with nowhere to wait around for the screens to open apart from the bar where there was no tables free and nowhere out of the way to stand. Apart from that it was a pleasant enough experience although nothing special.

This place is a little gem. If you're planning on lunch, expect to wait a little while for a table if you're not there first thing; it's popular and for good reason: service is prompt and friendly and our meals were tasty and reasonably priced. Crab cakes appeared to have been homemade and were absolutely delicious. My sausage and mash was hearty and satisfying. The sausages were artisanal and tasty. Coffee is real bean barista coffee and there was a nice selection of homemade cakes to go with it. If you've got a lunchtime to kill, you could do much worse than grab a bite at the Tyneside Cinema.

Visited today - a small group of us were shown around by an extremely knowledgeable and entertaining guide called Chris. What a fabulous place, this was a free tour and I believe that Chris Mc..? is a volunteer (but donations are always welcome), great history and wonderful decor and comfortable seating. Would highly recommend you visit.

The best cinema I've been to. Excellent historic building right in the centre of the city with a wonderful bar. Excellent choice of films too, old classics and new releases. Myself and my girlfriend booked to see Joker online. Unfortunately, she wasn't well on the day, and we weren't able to go. No problem for the staff though, I rang the office and explained the situation and they booked me another night without charge. Even wished my girlfriend better help before I hung up. Thank you so much!

Enchanting decor and atmosphere. A great place to take your partner for a date with a little extra. Especially if you book a sofa seat. Well worth a visit to filter out the youth and have a more mature experience with a nice selection of tipple. The restaurant/cafe serves lovely food, but you do pay a little more.

Great place. A cinema, a coffee shop, and a bar & restaurant all in one place.
- Cinema screens are good and the seats are comfortable. They show big international films in addition to smaller ones.
- The bar/restaurant has a nice atmosphere.
- The coffee shop upstairs tends to be much quiter.

Shows a lot of old films. No parking but wheelchair accessible. There is a lift inside the building. You can get a nice meal there or a snack at a reasonable price. It's a bit tucked out of the way.

Wonderful friendly gentle Cinema..a fantastic step back on time..huge comfortable seats and plenty of leg room..will not be going to anymore soulless overpriced Multiplex after having visited this gorgeous cinema.

Too comfortable to be event cinema. Web site not very navigable. Free tickets from National Lottery today but auditorium not even a third full. Something clearly wrong with marketing. I think it's aimed at the already converted rather than attracting newcomers. A cosy experience if that's what you want from a trip to the flix.
