Very old fashioned lay out, cosy and comfortable. Very nice coffee. Lovely setting
Great coffee, great place for a short stop. Friendly geese roaming round!
Beautiful location for my niece's wedding. Great staff, atmosphere and food. Drinks were good value
The food was good (nothing more) and service was, and has always been, slow. What a great location though!
Excellent rooms, food overpriced for poncey portions.
Recommend the cream tea!!! (always cream first for me)
Magic place for this irresistible hotel with country posh interiors and fabulous
Four poster beds huge bedrooms. Lounge, dining hall and everything just fantastic.
No wonder several Hollywood stars have been staying here ... food also satisfying
And staff always kind and attentive to clients requests.
Just dropped in an our way past. What a lovely place staff helpfull and friendly
Nice Location in the moors with just views in all directions . Set in a dip by a river this is a great place to relax. Rooms are beautiful and staff are helpful.
It may be Covid time, but some places know how to make you feel good, and this is one of them. My beef blade meal was just wondrous, the staff helpful, happy and knowledgeable and ambience welcoming. Great to have open fires, good beer and comfortable seating. Bedroom was perfectly adequate, tho the mattress was just a little more than on the 'soft' side for my preference.
Lovely afternoon
tea
A welcome oasis of culture and civilization amidst the raw and ofttimes harsh environment which is Dartmoor.
Love the atmosphere here, comfy cosy and great service
Very nice place to stay, good food rooms clean and tidy
Some haphazard service here. Meal times greater risk of bad experience.
A nice old fashioned cafe / restaurant with good food and drinks.
Very pleasant stay in a comfortable bed; after a good meal and drinks
One of my favourite place in Dartmoor where to have a break in a typical, traditional British environment
Good service but burnt roll. Why bother toasting it. Toilets not cleaned properly.
Great venue for drinks or a cream tea after a walk on the moor
Just spent 3 days over Christmas. Despite the obvious restrictions, we had a wonderful stay.
Staff were superb and the food and atmosphere did not disappoint.
Thank you Two Bridges for another wonderful Christmas .
Excellent cream teas, slightly pricy, but worth the extra, and lovely settings to enjoy it in, both outside or in. Staff polite and helpful.
Lovely rooms and fabulous dinner, limited WiFi and phone reception but gorgeous scenery made up for it
A tad dated inside but a great coffee in a beautiful setting.
Lovely grounds parking is free and just off to the side . Seating out front, pet friendly , not the place to bring kids but it does accommodate. Friendly enough staff
Astonishingly beautiful location, fairly average pub.
Outstanding. Lovely place and welcoming staff. Highly recommend
Great food and friendly staff and my dog was welcome too.
Had an amazing cream tea, a little expensive but enormous
Went there for coffee was quick and not too expensive lovley
Great to go and look at the views... Amazing cream teas and lovely to sit in with a drink and have a quiet Sunday after a walk across the moors. Friendly staff. Beautiful location.
Had soya milk to make a lovely soya latte, lovely place to stop off after a walk on the moors
Food was nice ,sub with prawns and chilli sauce ,supposedly triple cooked chips, don't think they were ,and a very small portion for price paid ....my son's pork and poached egg dish was Excellent, but service slow and asked for sale and pepper and didn't ever get it!! Wouldn't rush back ,interior tired and old fashioned ,toilets need a refurb, geese were lovely....
We didn't stay here but stopped in for a couple of cream teas after a walk on Dartmoor, for which I would highly recommend the place. Good covid precautions (staff wearing masks, and everyone else was asked to wear one while moving around inside). Great scones. Jam portion was a bit stingy and parking was a struggle.
We just had few drinks there and nice walk around but pub staff members were so friendly and cheerful. Also, toilet was clean and a little table for nappy change is useful indeed. They are dog friendly too.
Absolutely fantastic... Amazing hotel.. if you want to relax.. book in now.. loads to do in the area.. definitely worth a look.. can't wait to to go back... X
Lovely food and very friendly and polite waiting staff.x
Wonderful Hotel, great character, food and ambience exquisite.
Went there yesterday afternoon for a drink and something to eat after going for a walk and the service was very poor. Asked for a pot of tea which I never got. The waiter was stood next to our table serving other customers (it wasn't very busy either I'd say) and at first he suggested taking it off our bill as a goodwill gesture for the wait, but after an hour sat down at the table waiting for it, with no signs of the tea coming at our surprise we were then asked if we were ready for the bill! At this point we were not willing to wait any longer and we left
Two night stay with our two dogs. Completely dog friendly Hotel. Luxurious old time feel to the place, large leather sofas and open fires in the lounge. Pleasant and happy staff. Fantastic choice for breakfast - buffet and cooked. Room 17 was clean although a little noisy because of the extractor at the rear of hotel - didnt bother us much. Lovely gardens. Perfect situation for walking the moors!
Afternoon tea, present from daughter , booked time date etc . Tea was very nice the usual sandwiches , cakes , scones tea / coffee . Expected to have tea in resturant but table was in lounge, reception area which is no bad thing if you don't mind dogs all around whilst eating ! Presentation of tea was not of the best quality, just brought to table & put down no explanation of what was on plates . Disappointing.
Nice old moorside hotel. Great food and beer, very nice staff. Excellent for walking and visiting river side cafes. Down side - don't have have the smoked salmon for breakfast unless your on a fasting diet and in room 4 don't have a shower if you expect to get wet. Would I stay again - yes I would.
Had a lovely lunch here last Tuesday for my mum's 90th birthday, in front of a proper fire. A warm welcome from friendly, efficient staff. Everywhere looked clean and fresh - recently refurbished perhaps, in a traditional style. Thick red carpets, polished wood and brass. No trendy minimalist grey paint and stripped wood here thank goodness! Interesting old photos on the walls of old characters and Dartmoor scenes.
I love the two bridges hotel! The staff are so friendly, lovely rooms and when the weather's good a beautiful location for a Devon cream tea!
A fabulous hotel, food is good and cream tea absolutely delicious worth a visit.
Lovely afternoon tea, great setting nice views would definitely visit again.
Only stopped for a drink. Friendly staff. Edwardian decor.
The food was divine, a very nice, only wanted to get a cream tea but ended up with a 2 course meal. Steak was cooked perfectly, desserts were amazing and filling too. Would happily come here again. The only thing I felt lacking just a little bit was the service, after we were seated and given menu's it was a good few minutes before we were saw to. Service throughout was okay just until the very end when we wanted to leave but had to wait for any staff to make an appearance.
We stayed there when there was also a wedding. Noise throughout the night. Breakfast was completed finished by the wedding guests. We had to wait very long and then there was not much food left. Dinner was the only good thing about this hotel.
Had a very nice scone and cream. Pleasant staff, characterful building. Picture postcard location.
Very nice hotel very british lost in the parc.bonne table .....
Great place to come and stay - food excellent with lovely rooms
Fabulous ambience, amazing food, comfy rooms and lovely staff
Well it was all a disaster from the beginning, but staff did do all they could to put things right. First of all people jumped on the reserved table that was reserved for us, so we had to wait around for a table. The meal was only warm, but my mate got is warmed up. Coffee order got delayed. But we did have some money off and staff really made a effort to put things right. We will go back again, because the last visit was excellent.
Must say only went in to order tea but staff are friendly and pub clean. Sat outside and the views were breathtaking , absolutely beautiful. will definitely come back
This place is beautiful place time firgot love it here beautiful food and really friendly staff
We stopped there for afternoon tea, the scones were delicious and the cream very rich. Service was great.
