Magic place for this irresistible hotel with country posh interiors and fabulous
Four poster beds huge bedrooms. Lounge, dining hall and everything just fantastic.
No wonder several Hollywood stars have been staying here ... food also satisfying
And staff always kind and attentive to clients requests.

It may be Covid time, but some places know how to make you feel good, and this is one of them. My beef blade meal was just wondrous, the staff helpful, happy and knowledgeable and ambience welcoming. Great to have open fires, good beer and comfortable seating. Bedroom was perfectly adequate, tho the mattress was just a little more than on the 'soft' side for my preference.

Just spent 3 days over Christmas. Despite the obvious restrictions, we had a wonderful stay.
Staff were superb and the food and atmosphere did not disappoint.
Thank you Two Bridges for another wonderful Christmas .

We didn't stay here but stopped in for a couple of cream teas after a walk on Dartmoor, for which I would highly recommend the place. Good covid precautions (staff wearing masks, and everyone else was asked to wear one while moving around inside). Great scones. Jam portion was a bit stingy and parking was a struggle.

We just had few drinks there and nice walk around but pub staff members were so friendly and cheerful. Also, toilet was clean and a little table for nappy change is useful indeed. They are dog friendly too.

Went there yesterday afternoon for a drink and something to eat after going for a walk and the service was very poor. Asked for a pot of tea which I never got. The waiter was stood next to our table serving other customers (it wasn't very busy either I'd say) and at first he suggested taking it off our bill as a goodwill gesture for the wait, but after an hour sat down at the table waiting for it, with no signs of the tea coming at our surprise we were then asked if we were ready for the bill! At this point we were not willing to wait any longer and we left

Two night stay with our two dogs. Completely dog friendly Hotel. Luxurious old time feel to the place, large leather sofas and open fires in the lounge. Pleasant and happy staff. Fantastic choice for breakfast - buffet and cooked. Room 17 was clean although a little noisy because of the extractor at the rear of hotel - didnt bother us much. Lovely gardens. Perfect situation for walking the moors!

Afternoon tea, present from daughter , booked time date etc . Tea was very nice the usual sandwiches , cakes , scones tea / coffee . Expected to have tea in resturant but table was in lounge, reception area which is no bad thing if you don't mind dogs all around whilst eating ! Presentation of tea was not of the best quality, just brought to table & put down no explanation of what was on plates . Disappointing.

Nice old moorside hotel. Great food and beer, very nice staff. Excellent for walking and visiting river side cafes. Down side - don't have have the smoked salmon for breakfast unless your on a fasting diet and in room 4 don't have a shower if you expect to get wet. Would I stay again - yes I would.

Had a lovely lunch here last Tuesday for my mum's 90th birthday, in front of a proper fire. A warm welcome from friendly, efficient staff. Everywhere looked clean and fresh - recently refurbished perhaps, in a traditional style. Thick red carpets, polished wood and brass. No trendy minimalist grey paint and stripped wood here thank goodness! Interesting old photos on the walls of old characters and Dartmoor scenes.

The food was divine, a very nice, only wanted to get a cream tea but ended up with a 2 course meal. Steak was cooked perfectly, desserts were amazing and filling too. Would happily come here again. The only thing I felt lacking just a little bit was the service, after we were seated and given menu's it was a good few minutes before we were saw to. Service throughout was okay just until the very end when we wanted to leave but had to wait for any staff to make an appearance.

We stayed there when there was also a wedding. Noise throughout the night. Breakfast was completed finished by the wedding guests. We had to wait very long and then there was not much food left. Dinner was the only good thing about this hotel.

Well it was all a disaster from the beginning, but staff did do all they could to put things right. First of all people jumped on the reserved table that was reserved for us, so we had to wait around for a table. The meal was only warm, but my mate got is warmed up. Coffee order got delayed. But we did have some money off and staff really made a effort to put things right. We will go back again, because the last visit was excellent.
