Two Bridges hotel Review

we were just passing by and needed some help. everyone there was very helpful and nice even though we weren't customers. we only saw the lobby and the outside area but everything looked very beautiful and I would go there to stay some time in the future.

Lovely carrot cake and coffee. Nice feel to the place. Staff are so polite and professional.

Lunch and drinks in the bar. Food good, service fast and staff pleasent.

Went there for cream tea after a nearby walk. Price was acceptable for its location. The interior design, atmosphere, staff and grounds are well presented with parking, a river, and plenty of directions to walk in. The food and drink (while a basic tea and scones) was plentiful, well presented, and delicious. Would visit again if I was in the area.

I haven't stayed at the hotel but have had food here on multiple occasions when visiting Witsman's Wood. The atmosphere is always fantastic - fascinating decorations and multiple roaring fireplaces. The staff are also lovely and the food is delicious.

Scones were yum. The service was slow and unorganised when been served at the bar. The beer was warm and flat. We sat in front of the big beautiful fireplace but the mess from the previous guests were not cleared until we asked.

We both just love this place. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is great. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. All the bathrooms have been renewed. It's a lovely place to stay.

Comfortable moorland Inn that is dog friendly. Excellent cream tea. Large open fires in winter.

We only popped in for a drink whilst driving round Dartmoor but were made very welcome. Garden is lovely.

Lovely! Very clean and very friendly staff. AND very dog friendly. Delish gin and gratefruit cocktail. Will definitely go again.

Nice cream tea, but roast finished early on a Sunday

An ideal haven after a wet and windy Dartmoor walk. Tasty Cream Tea!

Sort of cosy and comfortable resting place in the mysterious Dartmoor. Makes me think of Sir Conan Doyle setting. The food is good and the atmosphere so British. We just love it.

Relaxing staff was really friendly and helpful even though I was busy

Great for a cream tea, good location with plenty of parking and loads of tables outside for when the weather is good. Only slight issue was the gluten free scone came still frozen in the middle, although this was rectified promptly.

Charmingly old fashioned country house hotel with a fantastic location in the middle of Dartmoor. Staff were very good. Room was a little bit tired around the edges, but not a big problem - still overall a nice place to stay. They also do a very good cream tea (although on our last visit we had quite a long wait for it).

Don't know how someone can mess up a salad but they managed to do so here unfortunately.
Salad was drenched in dressing, cheap end of an iceberg lettuce used, looked like cheap processed packet chicken and bacon, not fresh creedy chicken as stated on menu, possibly the worst salad I have ever had.
Omelette was also very disappointing.
Nice place to go to for a drink in the sun but can't say I would go to eat again.

Great place to stay for a bit of old world style, although shower pressure was not great. Food and in particular the Devon Cream Tea was great

A nice country hotel with cozy beer garden, you can eat small food for a small price. Sufficient parking spaces are available and motorcyclists are also welcome.

Great location, very good service, comfortable accommodation and excellent food. Measures for coronavirus are good.

Had nice coffee in the bar sat next to the open fire.

Visited 2/4/2018.a nice place as been before a little expensive.decided to have meal as told the food was very good but i was dissapointed.had the leg of lamb but most of it was lacking the meat nearly all grizzle.not nice .mentioned it to the waitress no reaction .shame really as it is a nice place to go .never mind we live and learn

Very noisy at back of hotel. R 17. Kitchen stereo apparently! Old fashioned rooms but FABULOUS dinner! Good enough to almost forgive the kitchen staff the noise!

Very attentive staff, ordered fish over cooked dry, replaced but not much better when replaced, disappointing

Had a lovely gin and tonic here. Lovely fish and chips, and cream tea too. Great location in the county side. Take a long stroll in this beautiful area.

Been a great stay. Is in a really nice location. The food is excellent. I especially liked the lunch menu. Only slight problem is that food isn't served till 7pm, but they were very accommodating and provided children's food at 6pm which was a very useful. The rooms are characterful. Breakfast was also very nice.

Only went in for a drink and some food, usual price for places like this and quite busy

A lovely hotel in the middle of Dartmoor so the setting was excellent. Only popped in there for a light lunch, which was very good as was the service. Will go back to stay.

Food great, places to sit outside with umbrellas. It was great. Geese a bit agressive perhaps they need signs to advise not feed them. Drinks lovely after a walk to wistmans wood.

The staff is nice and all. Their fries are soft and not done properly and forget about internet as it turns off every 1 minute and stays off for 10

The cream tea is recommended. But unfortunately they have nothing on the menu.

This hotel is nestled in the heart of Dartmoor and has plenty of character. The rooms have a comforting and antique feel. I found the staff to be welcoming and thoughtful, helping me with my luggage and keeping the kitchen open so I could have some dinner (I arrived quite late). Breakfast was lovely, and again the staff were very helpful.
There are some resident geese who live in the grounds, the only downside being that they will remind you they're there throughout the night.
I'll be back!

Gorgeous location. We only stopped for a couple of shandy's, so can't review on the food.

The pub setting is stunning. Gorgeous garden area where you can also take your drinks & relax.

Stayed for one night as part of a group for work s Christmas party. Stayed the weekend before Christmas. Excellent location on Dartmoor, perfect for walking. Lovely hotel, very relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of seating in the lounge area to be able to sit round a fire after a long walk. Food was very good. Hotel seemed very well equipped for dogs will definitely return again bring my dog along next time as was not able to bring him on this trip. Thank you for a fabulous weekend

Quintessentially English Hotel in the very middle of Dartmoor. I'd recommend it even more highly but I would want the whole world to find out about it!

A dog friendly hotel that is situated right on the River Dart. It serves nice food, but could do with some investment in it's decor.

A relaxed atmosphere with attentive and non-overbearing, friendly staff..! If you're looking for a few days away to relax, this is the place to go...!! Dog friendly too..!!

We attended as wedding reception guests. The furniture was amazing g in the bar area with huge sofas and plush seemingly antique chairs. The function room was beautiful. There was lots of space for the wedding party.

I was visiting family in the area and we decided to pop in for an authentic Cream Tea. We were thoroughly delighted with the quality and presentation of the meal and left very happy customers. We will be visiting again when we are near by.

Very cosy. Good food. Just received a prestigious local award for their food.

Great scenery and really sticking to covid rules. Everything is very well layed out.

Warm and comfy. Made welcome especially the dog. Dog treats left for her, nice touch.
