I went for lunch and was very impressed. Food was lovely and filling, the restaurant was clean and looked impressive - as did the views of the sea. The staff couldn't be any more helpful and friendly. Will be back.

Very poor and definitely not woth the money. Had to wait almost an hour for the kids lunches, and when they arrived they were taking away the buffet selection of starters and deserts. Also choice of mains was poor, would have been better at a word buffet.

Having played most of Scotland's great link's courses; Gullane, Kingsbarns, Carnoustie, St Andrews, Trump Aberdeen, Fairmont, Troon, Dundonald this is the pick.
Changes that have been made only improve.
A 82 on the day did help though !

This hotel is great. Apart from the Trump name. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Parked the car for us, then went to fetch some stuff we'd left in the car twice! Food was expensive but tasted great and we didn't want to leave.. spa is nice but a little basic and I thought the treatments were too costly. Location and views are amazing!!

Did a two night, three round package. Ailsa Course is second to none!!! The restoration Trump has done leaves nothing wanting. Employees are dressed in a gorgeous blue tartan. Staff are very friendly and attentive to meeting any need. Our beds had hand carved mahogany headboards. A hand written letter, with treats, was waiting for us. Sat outside with a White Russian (nothing like Scottish Cream!!) at sunset to watch the evening bagpiper. Life doesn t get any better than this!! Package included breakfasts and a dinner, also. The food was absolutely phenomenal!!! Staff very efficient and friendly.

Played the King Robert the Bruce course at Trump Turnberry today. Great changes made to the course over the last 2 years and it proved a good test. The little brother to the 'Ailsa' championship course is certainly one to add to your list of courses to play. The new layout of the 9th is a standout with the green over a ravine and clinging to the top of the cliffs leaving no room for error. While I may not agree with Trumps politics, he sure knows someone who can design a golf course. Can't wait to play the Ailsa now.

Not a wholly successful experience this time. Seated at table for Afternoon Tea 2.05pm...tea and coffee served at 2.35pm approx...sitting until 2.50pm before food was brought to table by which time beverages were cold. Was asked if anyone had any allergies etc for savoury fillings...but when I asked for egg filling was told they are all made up and can't be changed. Service was spasmodic to be polite despite asking what the hold up was, no explanation was forthcoming....but they will have a staff meeting at 9am tomorrow when our feedback to them will be addressed! Isn't that helpful? A birthday celebration and treat that was disappointing at best. Totally unsatisfactory. No discount on bill was offered. Turnberry Hotel please take notice.

I begrudgingly really liked this place. Begrudgingly because of course, trump, and his incessantly self absorbed habit of plastering his name everywhere. But the place was great. Staff were friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Great location and the way they catered for the kids was phenomenal. We stayed there because of SPG and in spite of Trump but it's a true five star experience I was pleased to have experienced. Recommended, but don't shout about it.

Remodel of hotel is fabulous. Course fees seem high and don t vary as much as other courses based on the seasons. The modifications to the Ailsa course are spectacular, the front nine has some of the best golf holes in the world. Trump brand takes a little away from the nostalgia of the place but Trump brand has also made it the most exclusive hotel to stay in Scotland.

Regardless of how you feel about Trump, his acquisition of Turnberry and consequent major refurbishment has undoubtedly benefitted the venue, it's customers and many local employees. Not everyone realises that well before Trump, Turnberry has had a spectacular history, boasting visits from many famous and super wealthy individuals from around the world. All of this, including the golf course itself and the variety of privileged clientelle that appeared to be quite preoccupied with their sense of entitlement was all irrelevant to me when we decided to book Sunday lunch for 4 about 8 weeks in advance. As it turns out, Sunday lunch at Turnberry is extremely popular and when we finally arrived (mid Novemember) I could see why. The starter buffet selection was of the highest quality that I'd seen outside of Michelin star venues that would be the only fair comparison. The food all tasted great and the volume available bordered on obsene, in a good way if you're a hungry customer. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and helpful and the views from the top of the hill are absolutely striking. My only misgiving is the few customers who seem to think that their very existence affords them the right to behave in the kind of self inflated and pompous manner of snobbery that only elitist garbage are capable of. Luckily, they didn't spoil it for everyone else, who behaved like normal, civilised human beings. Overall, the lunch was lovely and very memorable. We came out absolutely stuffed. If you want to make a special occassion of lunch, this is one of the best ways you could do it. If you are fortunate enough to be able to book Sunday Lunch, much less afford it, even if you only do it once every couple of years, this is a good call! It's not going to give the likes of Brian Maule a run for his money but its still a fine dining experience that get's 5 stars from me.

Amazing view from the Grand Tea Lounge out across the Firth of Clyde towards Arran and Ailsa Craig. Although recently fully refurbished it still retains an old fashioned style elegance. Staff are very helpful and friendly and the new Grand Ballroom is stunning. Afternoon tea was exquisite....

The resort is absoloutly class, service is second to none complete luxury, quality of the service feels American nothing is too much trouble.

King Robert the Bruce course is a good test of golf especially in the wind a fantastic 2nd course.

Ailsa is a different beast gusts of 40mph when I played, loved every minute even though it ate me alive.
Ailsa for me is better than my previous favourite UK course Royal Portrush.

Had a overnight, room was excellent, suited all our needs. Bit disappointing there is no wheelchair access from room we were in to main hotel through tunnel and we had to go outside to access main hotel. Staff were excellent and made our stay really enjoyable.

Wonderful stay. I was there on business and they put me up in one of their named suites. It was incredible. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. The food choices were numerous. Tons of different scotch selections at their bar. The hotel was beautiful and the grounds were amazing!
