Unfortunately today with many spare parts rather than a spare is a mega construction, as this is not temporary and will last a year, services are not available, especially the large pool, all very neglected by construction sites.

The hotel has class, but in a modern sense. The staff are all very nice and the layout is vast. Pools are beautiful with well kept gardens. Rooms are just as nice with decor to make sure it feels luxurious.

We are still enjoying our stay at the hotel but couldn't wait to write what an amazing hotel it is!!! We are traveling a lot to Miami and usually stays at the JW Marriott Marquis which is a good hotel too but the first minute we made the booking to the turnberry hotel we felt the difference

Warning with the valet!!! Expect a very long wait each time you need your car. My family and I spent 2 different weeks this summer at the JW Marriott Turnberry. The first week was okay, nothing to brag about, but the valet is a nightmare. The service in the hotel is average. The water park was great the first time we stayed, second time it was for my b'day, they were short staffed and the grounds or waterpark not so clean... the drinks and food are very pricey for what you get in quality. I would expect much better from a JW... Second time around the valet returned our car with a hard hit where the paint was chipped off on the passenger side door. It took over an hour, standing in the heat to have a simple form filled out and sent on our way. You'd think they'd at least offer a refund on the daily paking, but not! It's now been over a month and no one responds to our calls or emails! I find this to be completely unacceptable especially from the JW and it's affiliated companies. I've tried every avenue possible to find out if they will take responsibility or not, but no one in administration with the hotel or valet have the common courtesy to even return a call or email. So unfortunate that the JW Marriott has lost it's class in so many ways... I'm in no way deterring anyone from staying at this hotel, just sharing my experience this summer and seriously hope they get it together before this becomes the bad start of their reputable name. As for me and my family I can say it was a very bad experience, not what I expected for my birthday week...

Hotel staff messed up our reservation and were not helpful. Rooms were dated. Construction was going full force at 6am - rude awakening. Housekeeping began banging on the door at 7:30am! First fridge was broken, second froze our food. We had just completed the marathon and needed delayed checkout, but the hotel was very un-accomodating. Grounds were okay, but wouldn't recommend with so many other facilities in the area providing better service.

This hotel blew me away. I arrived late at night, so I didn't know what my view was until the next morning. It was a stunning view of the golf course. Everyone here greeted me with a hello while walking on the premises. I don't play golf but there are plenty of things to do here. They had a few pools, restaurants and a Starbucks. It's a bit of a hike to get to south beach but the accommodations are much nicer. You have a lot more room and it's very quiet. I could see that being an issue in South beach. I would love to get a chance to come back here some day.

I am giving this hotel 1 star because it does not let you give minuses. This by all means IST IS THE WORST HOTEL MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE EVER STAYED IN!!!! We have traveled half way around the world and have always stayed at HILTON PROPERTIES. We have never had an issue with HILTON. On the contrary they go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. On the other hand my experience with JW Marriott in Aventura has BEEN awful since the check-in process which took over an hour and then finding out that their hotel pool is an adult pool only and we have our grandson visiting from Texas and we couldn t even relax at the hotel pool. We were told we had to go to the water park. My daughter and her husband had to pay $100.00 plus and $ 40.00 to park to see our grandson because the only pool that children are allowed in is inside their SO CALLED WATER PARK . What a scam they have going on here!!! On the first night at 4:30 am the air conditioner stopped working. My husband called the front desk and after 100 rings someone finally picked up and said that our balcony door wasn t opened which it was not. They said they would send someone to looks at it which they never did. After a very long night of sweating and not sleeping my husband called them in the morning and they finally sent someone to take a look at it. Immediately after the repair person left the air stopped working. We decided to go to the front desk where there was a mile long line of people waiting to check in. We asked to speak to a front desk manager and we were told that they were very busy checking people in. UNACCEPTABLE . NOT MY PROBLEM like I told them. We were told to sit at the bar area and wait for someone to come and speak with us. Ms. Perez came and spoke to us. Supposedly she is a manager. YEAH RIGHT . She said she was going to investigate the problem and see what she could do. I can go on forever on how unhelpful and unwilling their customer service is but I don t have the time to write a book. The BOTTOM LINE IS THAT THEY RUINED OUR STAY WITH OUR GRANDSON, WE SID NOT SLEEP THE DORST NIGHT, THE SAFE IN THE ROOM DOWS WORK AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF IT IS NOW 4:05 PM AND OUR ROOM HAS NOT BEEN CLEANED!!! I will never stay at another MARRIOTT EVER IN MY WHOLE LIFE!!! This place and the employees are despicable. They don t understand THAT WE THE GUESTS ARE PAGING THEIR SALARIES . Marriott s CUSTOMER RELATIONS GROUP HAVE TO BE THE WORST OF ALL THE HOTEL CHAINS. THEY REALLY DO NOT KNOW RHE MEANING OF THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT .

The hotel manager is a racist, more on that later....

The hotel manager is a racist, more on that later. This place is a rip off plus, the service is BEYOND BAD! You're much better off staying at an Orlando resort and going to ANY water park there, you'll save a lot of money rather than coming here!

I'll start by saying that the parking is a rip off, they ONLY offer valet at $38 plus tax a day!! So we gave up our luggage away to hold. When 4 pm came around we were supposed to get our room but at reception with an attitude they said; "if we didn't call you/text you, your room isn't ready". So we had to fight to get our room at 4:15 pm! Then I gave my luggage ticket as instructed to the luggage handler who swore up and down our luggage will be delivered to our room in less than 20 minutes. More than 3 hours later we arrived at our room and guess what, our luggage wasn't there!

I called, no one answered, I had to ask where they kept the luggage. I went there and had to retrieve the luggage myself in one of their carts and take it all the way to my room in the magnolia building which is on the other side of the property.

That same evening my wife called 3 times asking for bed sheets and blankets for the sleeper sofa so our son could go to sleep. After more than 1.5 hour wait I had to go downstairs where on the evening of July 20, 2019, there were several other guests waiting to get their bed sheets, pillows, towels as well. I had to complain in order to get our stuff. Finally an excellent overnight manager; Ivanna Johnson helped us out.

THE ICE ISSUE:. there is no ice machine so you'll have to ask for them to bring you ice to your room, so after you call, sit and wait a LONG TIME! There also no mini fridge in your room so if you brought a cooler, good luck trying to fill it up with ice.

At Tidal Cove, there are 2 lines for the water slides. You'll often do the right thing and stand in line to wait your turn. But here comes a couple of teens that skip the line in order to go on the green float ride, bypassing everyone by pretending that they're going to ride the drop rides and the cutting the line. So I told the lady managing the lines that these three teenagers cut the line, others told her, she simply asked them and she let them stay!?!

That same day I brought a small Bluetooth speaker to listen to slow Spanish music (bachata) which is Dominican slow music. I had it low. The hotel manager; John Rogers told us to turn it off. I asked him if he was telling me to turn it off bc it was Spanish music, he denied it but there's no question that it was bc it was Spanish music. While some ppl rent cabanas and play the music they want as seen from walking around or being in the lazy river, those Hispanic peasants that sit on their chairs need to obey and turn off the music. Mind you, I'm not one of these loud guys that plays regeaton all day, it was slow, romantic Spanish bachata at a volume only we could hear in the general area of our chairs. So I turned off the music.

This place is a disaster, do yourself and your family and stay far away!

Nice resort although I wish the running path was not bordering the street. Music at waterpark pool a bit too loud. You can play a little bit softer especially during weekdays later in the day when business executives need to decompress from a full business agenda in the conference center.

They are currently under construction but they still did a great job. The program they have with the American Express fine hotels and resorts elevated the experience and it is by far one of the best. In addition they have shuttle bus services which can drive you to the Aventura mall and sole hotel beach.

The hotel is beautiful but be prepared for long check in. We waited hours for our bags and the room was never made up during our 2 night stay. The staff is nice and attentive but when this place is busy its very hectic. The water park is awesome!

When we checked in, it was told to us that we had to pay for parking our car. We opted for self parking and still had to pay $37 a day to park. We asked upon check in for a microwave and fridge to be delivered to our room. Hours later we still hadn t got those delivered so I called the front desk. We eventually got both the microwave and refrigerator, but the timeframe was crazy.

As far as the view outside our window, we just saw the roofs of other buildings. For $1200 for our 5 day stay - Not worth it when we just got back from Cancun ($500 for 7 days - king suit and hot tub in our room). I honestly was excited to come to this resort, but after my experience.... never again.

Then to top it all off, the restaurants inside the hotel weren t open, there was no complimentary breakfast (advertised on their website) or any breakfast for that matter and room service closes at 5pm.

I don t recommend this resort and we will never stay here again. When asked to speak to a manager, was told manager is in a meeting and will call you back and you can guess what happened... NO CALL FROM THE MANAGER.

We went to Corsair Kitchen and Bar, one of the hotel's restaurants. It is advertised as Mediterranean cuisine. We could not taste it because on Sundays
On Sundays they offer brunch or gourmet style sandwich and pizza menu. It would be great if they added some simple alternative dish to very good brunch or sandwich.
The place is beautiful. Excellent attention. I would return without hesitation

Sadly the new water park draws lots of rowdy kids and the staff doesn t do much to control their bad behavior. It used to be so tranquil and now it s just a very loud, very unruly, not relaxing children s free for all. The nice new lounge in the lobby was filled nicely dressed , civilized adults trying to enjoy a cocktail mixed with people still running a muck in an unsupervised pool running through the bar in dripping wet in bathing suits ordering juice at the bar for their children who are still awake at 10pm. Way too crowded and over run with people who don t know how to conduct themselves in public. The turnberry isn t what it used to be.

It was a wonderful time with great service....Except that everyone on my table had a thick cut piece of steak and mine were thin and too well done. I wouldn't serve a plate with what was on my plate. It was a let down to the rest of service.

We spent a very nice weekend by the pool and enjoying the facilities, however I would like to note that the service that we were provided was mediocre considering we were in a Marriott. I expect much more from them overall nice hotel but they lack on providing quality service. Favorite ride was the wave machine kids enjoyed it a lot.

Customer service is non existent, requests go un noticed and you don t receive any follow up or response at all.As a Marriott property they do not honor any of your Bonvoy platinum elite benefits and even so treat you like a walk in and hide behind their convention facility location to deny benefits. No real interest in customer experience nor service. This is becoming an expensive mid level water park nightmare location. The service at the water park was good.

I marked 2 stars because the rooms have bed bugs. I went with 8 families all together. We had 8 rooms and everyone came home itching and scratching for a few days. Turned out it was bed bug bites. Thats nasty. The hotel staff was great and at your service in a snap. Pool and Waterpark was great! Bed bugs is a real health concern. That means they are not cleaning the rooms properly. Meaning I could've slept in someones......ewwww.

Disappointing. We did not get our Room until 5:00 p.m. At that point we dropped our bags and went to get our car so we could go off property for dinner. Well, they could not find our car so it was an extended wait to retrieve it from valet. Upon return to our Room we called down around 8:00 p.m. and requested ice. At 10:30 we still had no ice and finally went to sleep. Woke up the next day to leave property for breakfast and once again an extended wait for valet however this time there was no one else out front getting their cars.

The place is beautiful, the water park a lot of fun however since the Marriott took over the service here SUCKS. I will go spend my money at other overpriced resorts next time. This is my last visit here.

I'm still at the hotel. It is a room with two queens beds. Where the bed that touched me, did not change the sheets was undone and with the previous client's sheets. That nasty. I called 4 times, I went down twice to the reception from 4:09 pm and now it's 11:41 and I still have a bed with some sheets from a previous client. Valet parking I waited for my car to be delivered almost an hour. Until I told him that I was going to look for him myself. To talk to the reception, you can wait almost 30 to 40 minutes for you to attend.

I want to start off by saying that we are so happy we stayed here... we usually stay on the beach in Fort Lauderdale but this weekend we decided to go a little more south and we were not dissapointed. During COVID we had some concern about cleanliness but the team at JW Turnberry was nothing short from great when it came to sanitizing all around. Our rooms were incredibly clean, they were social distancing, requiring masks when needed, checking temperatures and more all the while still providing an amazing experience. Everyone was extremely attentive but we do want to give a special shout out and thanks to Fred the Pool Server, John A. and Odanie at the pool as well. They made our stay amazing and nailed it when it came to personalizing our experiences, always acknowledging us, and providing service in a very timely and friendly manner. Thanks to them as well as Lucio at the front desk, we will 100% be coming back and making sure this place is at the top of our list for staycations. Thank you all for this special and unforgettable experience!

A very beautiful resort and the amenities are great. The staff is very professional and serviceable.
The only reason I would not give it another star is because they charge valet for everyday your there. I may have missed knowing this on my end. There are no other parking options so you have no choice. Also the pricing on their menu for their room service is out of date. I ordered breakfast expecting it to be $30 but it came out to $60.
Overall recommend for professional and personal travel.

We ve stayed at two other JW Marriott properties in the last year - Camelback in Scottsdale, and Grande Lakes in Orlando. The bar had been set quite high, and we booked this family getaway on that basis. It was only after booking that I started to read reviews of this resort and found that it was not living up to the JW standard. And if some reviews were to be believed it wasn t even up to "by-the-hour motel" standards! On the night before our flight, I barely slept fearful that we d made a mistake in booking this resort. That it was going to be a disaster resulting in a week of frustration and stress.

Pulling in to the resort the signs of it being an active construction site were evident. And so was the grandiose scale of the waterpark - wow. It s going to be awesome when finished.

- The construction is a non-issue at this point.
- The restaurants - Corsair and Bourbon - are both excellent from the perspective of the food, service, and decor.
- Overall we had a wonderful experience and would happily return.

Special shout outs to the following staff members:
Gabriel and Joey - Valet
Jimmy, Mauricio and Dennis - Doormen
Owen - Bell desk
Oscar, Mitch, Chase, Oleg, Freddy, Chelsea - Corsair
Giuseppe, Cesar, Nick - Bourbon

This is one of the best Hotels & Golf Resort in South Florida. Both of the golf courses are 365 days in fenomenal shape, the spa offer a great menu for relaxing days, the food is just yummy and the pool area is the most fun to enjoy with the family. If you are traveling to Miami this is the place for you and your family.

We live nearby and booked a room to use the waterpark, specifically the slides. We have stayed here before and my 6 year old loves the slides. Today, after she rode the 48" height and above slides for an hour the teenage life guard was finally motivated to check her height. She was 2 inches too short. She is now excluded from riding the same rides we rode for an entire weekend previously and atleast a dozen times today, five of seven slides are suddenly off limits. She was riding doubles on a raft with myself or my wife and the kiddie slides are singles only. The pool side manager offered to buy me a drink or some food as compensation. Apparently, this is their cost effective solution to resolving the issue. Just give me alcohol to shut me up. We wouldn't mind if the rules were applied consistently from the start and my daughter was told from day one she was too short. Its not cool to do that to a kid. Oh it's also my wife's birthday, so really perfect timing to start enforcing the very strict policy. Thanks again "Bonvoy" its been a pleasure. I'm canceling my two rooms in Orlando. Would you like a cocktail as compensation?
