Turnberry Isle Resort & Spa Miami Review

Very nice place. A Marriott brand (which means no Dr. Pepper anywhere on the property). Large quiet rooms with a shower and an enormous bathtub. A golf resort hotel although I don't go. Takes awhile to get there from Miami International.

Overated Property With black mold in bathrooms. Rooms With Paper Thin walls, And a promt parade of golf carts outside your Window at 6 am. Spend your money somewhere else.

My family and I visited the Turnberry Marriott hotel in Aventura for my wife birthday and it was amazing. I want to be sure all of the staffs names that were able to help are listed... Desire V. At the pro golf was extremely exceptional when it come to service and friendliness. Bobby and Vinny from front desk check in. Gordine from AYS operator, yvlore from the front desk. VIP service from monika &John L., April W. Night manager Yvana and Mimi. Jesmarie and Branson was also wonderful. My wife was extremely satisfied for her birthday (happy wife happy home). There were able to extend my stay and accommodated with balloons and chocolate covered strawberries. I will visit again Lords willing.

Beautiful venue for an Expo I attended. Perfectly appointed, well catered and managed. Be warned parking is limited, and it's $36.00.

One of the best hotels/resorts we ve stayed at in Florida! It was beautiful both inside and out - we stayed for the first time while we attended a conference and had the best time! Everyone was very friendly and helpful, but the 3 that went above and beyond to make sure our stay was even more special were Cheryl, Gordon & Nevara (from the spa). Be sure to check it out and definitely say hi to them! Thanks so much again, we can t wait to go back!

The hotel is very beautiful. But he has serious problems with the valet parking (I got to wait 35 ')

Frankly one of the best hotels in Miami. A little out of the way, but the rest is really top! The service is excellent, the staff welcoming and caring! And the Must: this great aquatic theme park makes the JWMariottt the best hotel to do with the family!

Amazing facility, amazing service. All around wonderful experience.

Really nice hotel with lots of amenities. Fitness center was large and had lots of equipment. Restaurants were all very good with great wait staff. The pool was clean and well kept. I did not go into waterpark area but it looked awesome, if my kids were with me we'd have been in there! Golf course looked well maintained and I talked to people that said it was great as well. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Best Wedding in Miami!!! We're locals and stayed for a 4 day wedding. The wedding was breathtaking; the hotel gave us the entire floor for the wedding. The photographer Emily was so understanding and took such great shots! We stayed in the new tower, the room was nice and overlooked aventura mall.

The cabanas next to the private pool are super secluded; we were in them the entire time. Henry is 5 stars in himself. He went above & beyond for the adults and the 15 kids. Jovann, the flowrider crew, and lifeguards were wonderful teachers; they definitely made the water park ultra enjoyable. It was truly an angelic weekend. We had a great time!

I just visited JW Turnberry spa and had an amazing electro-sound lymphatic treatment with Elaine who was very knowledgeable and gave me a lot of healthy tips and I feel great, less bloated more energy. The spa is beautiful and I also went to the infrared sauna, salt room steam room and Swiss shower. I loved my experience!

It's such a beautiful place and the employees are so nice and helpful.

I go to this hotel regularly, unfortunately this time it did not meet my expectations, I traveled with my two youngest children and twice they did not make me the room all day and for worse one day at 8 in the morning the fire alarm rang, We ran and the only explanation or apology they gave me was that a coffee machine in another guest's room, provided by the hotel, rang the alarm! A stable in a place of uss 500 average the night!

Had a great spa day followed by dinner at the steak house. Top notch!

When the renovations are finished this will be 5 stars

I just recently stayed at this resort this past fourth of July weekend i must say it is amazing i loved my stay staff was very attentive will deft be back

I honesty expected more from this place, considering how expensive it was... Staff could of been nicer, valet guys lied about pricing, room did not cool at night-horrible especially when you re with toddlers... Then at the water park, it felt like you were walking into an airport, opening and checking your bags, really?? After you just paid $130+ Person to get in... Then you have young kids as life guards giving directions and talking to you like you re a kid...Lazy river - can t even get in without a lifeguard telling you to be on a tube.. what s the point of that, I don t know? I don t recommend... Staff definitely needs to step up on hospitality.. - Maybe the golf is a different story.

A unique experience attended me all the time, Mr. Ricardo super recommended the best of the treatments maximum cleaning was my first time but I assure you it will not be the last

Service and amenities were excellent. Rooms are spacious and clean. The water park is fun for both young and old. Only downside was tye elevator situation, many weren't operating properly and people wouldn't abide by social distancing guidelines. The Valet could also be managed better.

Turnberry Isle Hotel is a great plave to stay,very comfortable and has many things tk offer. Food is delicious,service is excelent and the place is absolutely gorgeous. Love coming here every summer

It was ok. Expected more for how expensive everything is. Good service staff is very nice. Check ur bed before laying down. Sheets was full of stains.

I ran on the track and it was really nice and clean and scenic!

Lovely staff and the water park was great fun. Only issue I had was someone vomitted in the pool and they never evacuated it. Guest just stayed in and it took a while for them to handle it

Beautiful property but many problems with room and room access which although reported several times were not resolved. I'm a long time Marriott rewards member and I am very active proponent of Marriott brand but this property is run very poorly by Marriott standards. Even worse the front end manager Ruben does not respond to his own follow up emails. Beautiful properly that is very poorly managed.

Spectacular, one of the best golf courses in a hotel, restaurants are everything for everyone with a good variety of options, and the water park, wow, of show, I recommend 100%.

Visited with my husband Hotel Spa. Irina met us at the entrance, we signed up for the Cryotherapy, infrared sauna, local cryo procedures for my husband, for myself I chose a cryo facial and also zero-gravity Floatation. To say what we liked is to say nothing!
Loved the Cryotherapy procedure! Caring Irina gave us socks, felt boots and mittens. She explained how the procedure will take place, the sensations and what the effect will be. I will tell you the sensations, very invigorating! The mood rises. After that we went to the sauna, here of course everything is very pleasant and understandable.)) The detoxification program began. Further zero-gravity Floatation is a complete Relax! You lie in complete relaxation, all muscles calm down, no tension! Very cool! Steamed and relaxed, we went to the recreation area for about 30 minutes, drank tea, and Ira took us to the next procedures. Local cryo is a very pleasant feeling, made for the knees, the skin gradually freezes, a pleasant pressure of cold, frosty air, gives a good effect, because the knee hurt. In the morning I woke up without pain in my knee. My husband had a cryo facial, the skin glows after the procedure, the tone has leveled off, the face is refreshed and, most importantly, pleasant sensations, you know how men relate to facial cleansing and painful procedures. And here is an excellent result and good mood! In general, I advise the master Irina!

By the way, Very nice, non-intrusive staff. The spa has several sectors, including a relaxation area where you can sip tea while covering yourself with a blanket. There are also saunas, showers under pressure, salt for the Roman steam room, there is water everywhere, from such trifles and an overall excellent impression is formed!

I stayed as part of a conference mid-July 2019. The staff and support were excellent. As anyone that has been to any conferences at hotels, you know that it's not as glamorous to travel as people may think. The meals were always provided with smiles and attention to detail by the staff. I wanted to give a special kudo to Edgar - he seemed to be there sun-up to sun-down and always had a smile for us.

We had a fabulous moment there ! My kids loved the water park and we loved the slides . The food was great . We had a beautiful room with a view on the golf and the ocean in the ... simply amazing !
Mr Karim gave us a tour of the complex and was very helpful .
I definitely can t wait to come back with my family ! Hoping my daughter will be 48 tall to be able to ride all the activities!

Pool is magnificent with lazy River and water slide. There is a beautiful waterfall as well. The service is great, water always available for the hot days as well as waitresses walking around if you want to order drinks or food by the pool. All in all a great day.

Lovely ambience. Staff very friendly, professional, and helpful. The Salt Room is very relaxing. My masseuse was knowledgeable, and his techniques are superb. Good place for "Girls' Spa Day."

I tried Fire & Ice special at the spa: cryotherapy and infrared sauna. Cryo is only 3 min, but it got so cold so fast! Luda was great! She was talking to me the whole time and made me laugh and move. Then I had 25 min at the infrared sauna, the heat was very pleasant and I could use my phone inside. The last 5 min were no joke! I don't remember sweating so much at any sauna or banya! The result is great! Skin got visibly toned and I feel energetic!

The beach club is a quiet oasis away from the crowded south beach.

The staff at this hotel are AMAZING!! They truly go above and beyond. The hotel is pristine! Very clean and amenities are nice. I think hotel staff can make or break a hotel experience. So having people that are welcoming, and happy to help makes for a great experience that you want to come back to.

The place is immaculately clean and the rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable. The grounds are well maintained and luxurious. The only complaint (and it's a deal-breaker if traveling with the kids) would be the hours of operation in the pool area. They close the entire pool area, even the pool shop and restaurant at 7pm. Since hotel check-in is at 4pm, there really isn't much time for use of the pool. The pool area is the main attraction for the kids, so this defeats the purpose of staying here.

Beautiful resort but poorly operated with below average service. Upon check in I was told that my suite, for which I had prepaid, had been given to another customer. Of course everyone was very sorry but there was nothing that could be done. The front desk manager contacted me in the morning to tell me that in 3 DAYS they would be happy to move me to the suite I had booked I called his attention to my status with the chain but that didn t make any difference to him and how I was ultimately treated. At the appointed three day mark, I attempted to contact the manager three times by email and phone starting at 8am and was repeatedly assured after being on hold for 20 minutes each time, that he would call me right back. Finally, at 4pm when I called I was informed that he had left for the day and no one was aware of the details of my situation. It is extremely frustrating to have to deal with these types of issues when trying to relax and vacation. Additionally. pool service was horrible with not enough umbrellas for guests. There seems to be a bit of a hierarchy with TurnberryCountry Club members getting preferential treatment for chairs and umbrellas (understandable, so buy more, duh) Otherwise it s a race to get to the pool at the crack of dawn where guests were scrambling to save chairs and snag umbrellas. Very stressful! The shuttle? Forget about it rarely available. Food? Sub par and very expensive. Spa? Everything booked and literally no appointments gor the week I stayed at the resort. There are many gorgeous hotels in Miami with superior service and amenities, I would strongly advise guests looking for a luxury, relaxing experience to book somewhere else. This was an extremely disappointing and stressful experience.

Arrived Friday night... they told me I got an upgrade... apparently I was upgraded to another building that would have a construction project beginning at 6:00 AM.
Upon checking out, when I queried this, the lady said I m sorry without even looking up at me.
Quite a turnaround from the previous evening when the food and service were great...
Maybe that s why it s called Turnberry .
Anyway, I won t darken their doorsteps again.

I was working construction there...when it's complete it will be nice.

Everything very cute. Too bad it was under construction and the large swimming pool was unused. They wanted to collect things from the frigobar that I had not consumed.

The check in and check out take about 30 minutes. It took over 20 minutes to get my car from the Valet. After you play 38 dollars to park. That's ridiculous. The waterpark is nice the breakfast is what you would expect from a Holiday Inn with a omelette bar. Definitely not worth the money either at 30 bucks a person.

The water park is great, but the attention was bad and the sheets smelled very bad.
