Good coffee, great atmosphere. Remember good coffee takes time, if you're in a rush rather have it to go.

Cool location. But sorry, the kitchen is better than the coffee. But maybe the roastmaster had a bad day .... But very nice service.

Scooter day. Find a bunch of Vespa riders gathering at one of the best coffee places in the town before kicking of their fun rides.
First time here @ Truth Coffee and the experience is amazing. Coffee is super smooth and the aroma is elegant. Definitely high quality of roast and got unique touch from the brand. Also order a Benedict and the fresh food material is what u can sense from the first bite. The most charming part is the outdoor seat where you can get good sun tan to build up your energy along way with those nice caffeine. Highly recommended.

My favorite coffee in cape Town, great staff with a steampunk theme

The cafe is a visual highlight. Impressive concept, which is pulled through to the smallest detail including the clothing of the operation. The coffee itself is unfortunately only worth 4 stars and the espresso much too long and watery. The service was more of the category mass processing.

Had a relaxed Sunday breakfast here with my girlfriend. Despite being really busy, the food and service was exceptional. Definitely a worthwhile experience.

One of my favorite coffee shops in the world. The vibe is amazing, the coffee (get the silky res) is amazing, food is amazing, but more than anything the people are amazing! I come here almost everyday when I m in CPT. Can t recommend it enough.

The decor and vibe are amazing but honestly, their coffee is just not that good.

Don't expect sugar with your coffee at Truth Coffee Roasting. It will spoil the taste of true coffee, the waiter explained. It takes about half an hour to read through the newspaper size menu that explain in detail why one should treat a roasted coffee been with so much respect. Once you figured out how the roasted beans end up in your cup, and while waiting for your order take a peek at the out of this world decor that reminds one of a movie set. It even rubbed of on the waiters with there flying goggles and and all. Yes, and the coffee is indeed worth drinking without sugar.

This coffee shop is legendary. It is an experience for big time coffee lovers. Take your time to read the menu, which gives you a guide on the different types of coffees and blends. There is also a great food menu and divine cakes. Everything is artfully presented. The staff are dressed to fit the steam punk theme of the decor. Feel free to take photos, and of the doorman! Excellent covid safety is in place. There is a small step at the entrance so it is not completely wheelchair friendly. There is no dedicated parking.

Have been to Truth Coffee Roasting Cafe several times - an original interior with a mixture of the late 19th century . The staff members walking around in pseydo Wild Wild West themes - were funny. The cozy light and the rust steel reflections are making this place worth to visit. The Menue is a collection of rather non ordinary menues from breakfast to lunch and afternoon coffee. Of course the best part are the many different roastings blends and countries of origin of the offered coffee varieties. The food is looking fresh colorful and worth to mention for breakfast : Steam punk Benedict see photo - Price are a bit upscale on the other hand we have tomention the 10%inflation that keeps prices rising here in SA. all in all : worth to visit enjoy and making moments of memories. Whoever was at Disneyland theme park Frontierland feels going back there for a moment haha - enjoy

The interior is unique (steampunk style), the staff are super friendly and the coffe & food delicious. Definitely worth a visit!

I don't know if it was just a bad day, but the truth is, my coffee was terrible.

The decor is great! Unfortunately, the service staff was so bad that it made friends feel hurt. Never come to this house again
1. Ordered and ran away halfway through. I originally thought I would get a pen, but instead helped someone to serve.
2. The ordering menu was not completely collected. I don't know why the two menus farthest from him were left on the table.
3. I ordered two kinds of beans to make coffee by hand. I put smart filter cups and hourglasses on the drinks. The service staff did not explain how to brew the coffee from beginning to end. I did n t even say which cup was any beans. Fortunately, the people in the industry know how to use the smart filter cup, otherwise the waiter will have to take the time to explain. As a result, I still don't know what beans I prefer.
4. When dining out, you need to cook the fastest, but ready-made chants instead require us to remind you to dine out.
5. Pick out the coffee beans to be bought, somehow was taken away and brought back by the waiter, without saying why.
6. Tell if you want to check out separately or on the same bill. Money for coffee beans was also added to the tip calculation base.
7. When cleaning the dinner plate, standing at the table with a trash can and asking us to throw the napkins into the trash can by ourselves, so I still want to tip?

Great atmosphere but the food was cold and of the 4 coffees we had, 2 were terrible.

Friendly but shambolic service, mediocre coffee and an ambience halfway between Starbucks and an unofficial Pirates of the Caribbean theme-bar. It's not the best on the street, let alone in the world.

This is a special place. I've never had a bad experience here.

Good coffee badly let down by service. Long waits, they tell you what you are allowed and management have a don't care attitude.

Best best coffee, amazing variety and atmosphere. I love the raw steam punk vibe, seeing the coffee roasting machines and barristers at work... it is quite an art. Not just great coffee, but a nice viby city-center experience.

Great ambience and breakfast, but the coffee isn't that great. Disappointing for the world's #1 coffee shop.

This place is funky and just different. The interior design is pretty unique on its own, not to mention the funky uniform of the staff. Also, for some reason, the customers are also dressed in the most unusual sense. Maybe there was a parade that day.

The atmosphere is definately steam punk and so very fascinating, and the interior has changed since Ive been there last. They also have a variety of Ttuth coffees, invluding blavk honey blend, 10th Anniversary efitiin blends, on sale from their fascinating rotation shelve suspended from the ceiling. The staff, food and everything else is in a category of its own. Also voted as One of the top coffee shops in the world. Definately worth the trip and visit.

I have always enjoyed their coffee. I think the reputation of the set up precedes the experience and my expectations were off kilter. It's very viby and hip, while I was expecting a chilled coffee shop

I went here several times for breakfast during my time in Cape Town. The coffee is as good as its reputation states, and the breakfast menu is unique and well thought out.

The first time I went here I loved it. So I brought my whole family to come try it out. The second time was horrible. When we got there, a waiter named Chris pushed and shoved his way past us a few times and was very rude to my sister. I also ordered a coffee with Almond milk and it looked disgusting. Had to send two coffees back. Also ordered a pork banger and it was raw. We sent it back and it came back as tough as leather. We also were constantly asking for things like our milk and sugar. The manager was great, he gave us coffees on the house but there were just so many bad things I still have to give this place one star. Unfortunate as I really enjoyed my first time here.

Uhh yikes. The steam punk is overwhelming and not lighthearted or fun and the coffee is just fine for three times the price of everywhere else.

Awesome venue! It's atmosphere is inspired by the early 19th Century, and it made me think of a Steampunk event I attended a few years ago.

Steam punk, woven from a steam engines and corsets, settled in this interesting cafe, perhaps the best in Cape Town, where you will always meet a smiling waiters, a pleasant atmosphere and delicious coffee.
