I really enjoyed the Tropicana! It has been nicely updated, the rooms are good sized and clean. Valet was awesome and pool staff was friendly and attentive. The casino was on the small side, but the MGM is right next door!

Disappointed. Hilton Double Tree should reconsider branding this pathetic old musty property. I expected better service and a fresh remodel. Feels like an old showgirl wearing a lot of makeup and old and ripped costume.

Room was clean, buffet was good but the beautiful pool closes at 5pm in the summer? What the heck is that about? If we weren't so tired from traveling we would have changed hotels. That ruined it for us for a 1 night stay.

Great hotel and location, without breaking your budget. Room was clean. We stayed in Club tower with city view. It was quiet because it was away from casino area. It was a long walk from the parking lot to our room. I would not recommend this building if you have trouble walking at great length. However, you may want to stay in Paradise Tower. The building is closest to the entrance and parking lot, but more noisy since it is next to casino. Beach Cafe had great food! The Laugh Factory is a great place if you enjoy comedy!

We had a room in the club tower. Room was really big and nice. Beds are comfortable and everything is clean. The location is a little bit down the strip but really Ok. Everything in walking distance. The stuff was really friendly and helpful. Valet is for free!!! We loved to stay here!

Good hotel and pool but got hustled by employees working the craps table. While gambling me and my friends had a great experience playing Black Jack and Pai Gow - very courteous dealers that helped me learn the game.

Next we walked over to the empty craps table, and my friends and I asked to learn. Shortly after I got hustled by the employees.

They said that they would help me learn - but within 4 rolls they had convinced me to put $80 on the table while explaining things step by step. However they never mentioned rolling a 7 (the most likely roll) would make me lose all $80. You can guess what happened next.. I rolled a 7 and left the table immediately after. Employees told me that I should keep playing and "that's how I learn". I got hustled and never was explained the $80 risk I was taking.

I was in room 5331, king bungalow and the room was spacious and clean and the balcony view was nice. The towels were a little worn but that is the only negative comment I would have. I felt welcomed from the time I arrived. I also loved that Tropicana does not require incidental fees unless you are ordering room service and then it would be 50.00 per night. There is a resort fee of 42.00 per night (tax included) but that is the case with all hotels on the strip.

We have just returned from a great weekend in Vega...

We have just returned from a great weekend in Vegas but sad to say the accommodation at The Tropicana was disappointing. We are Hilton Diamond members who travel a lot with our children (11 and 13) and generally find the Hilton standards perfectly fine. This was not the case at the Tropicana.

We arrived 10.30pm (with kids in tow) and waited 10mins while the check-in staff fiddled with her computer. The reception is in the middle of the casino (very loud), complete with pole dancers, so once started checking in we were unable to hear anything that was said (which wasn't much anyway). We were offered no special deals, and we had been told that it was fairly standard to be offered deals on checking in at any Vegas Hotels. We found out later there were deals but by then it was too late.

The room was average, no bottled water provided (not even for purchase), which is a 1st for us in a year of travelling the US. The view would have been ok if I could see though the dirty window.

Again the pool was OK, but we were told to move on at 6pm as they were packing up.

This is the 1st time I have posted a review as I am not a fussy traveller or a whinger, but I feel with all the options available you could do a lot better than to stay here, esp given it is not even the cheapest accommodation on the strip by a long shot. And not up to the standard that we've come to expect from Hilton.

Do not stay here. We had a maid come in our room to steal at midnight not realizing we were in there. Then she said sorry sorry and left. Stay away from this hotel. The prices for everything are overpriced!

Friendly Staff, Great selection of Slots. Dealers at tables were Fantastic. Rooms are plush, the quietest hotel room I've stayed in. Restaurants are a little pricey. Close to everything on the strip.

Just ok. No issues with service, that was great as always. However, all walls, floor and ceilings are absolutely paper thin! You can hear a normal conversation through the wall. And if the next room over happens to have a party at 2am. You might as well get up and join because it's like they are right there in the room with you.

The hotel is nice...not fancy, but adequately comfortable. But it depends your hotel standards. The plumbing maybe be questionable depending on your room.I last started at this hotel in January 2018 - the tub in room clogged up and the water ran muddy the first morning there. After that morning, the tub moderately filled during each shower but the water was cleaner.

When we checked in at Tropicana,we are given a room on the 8th floor(882).When we are settling down,my daughter(8years old)decided to take a bath,I heard her scream!..I rushed to the bathroom and saw her very terrified because when she tried to turn on the water the faucet handle flew over and the water was oozing it flooded the floor. We decided to go swimming while we waited for the assistance when I called front desk, which took 10 mins or more before the plumber came.We went down to the pool then found out it was CLOSED.Front desk clerk(Cesar)told us it will be opened next year.Despaired and sad,we checked out 5 or 6 PM Thursday. We're supposed to stay 'till Friday. It was a sad ,waste of money, and time of experience in Vegas

Scam. The price says it includes resort fee but they add on an additional $40/day when you check in. Total surprise and totally upsetting.

Edit in response to Tropicana's deceptive response: Not only did it say the fees were included but it 1. listed its total price next to competitors' fair prices and 2. the resort fees were MORE than the total cost per night. The surprise "resort fee" is the bulk of my bill.

I really didn't know what to expect from this Vegas hotel. It's not one of the famous ones but it really blew us away - though I dont really have a basis for comparison with vegas hotels.

Either way we were impressed. The biggest hotel room we'd ever stayed in with the most immaculate and stylish bathroom. It is located right at one end of the strip (opposite the Luxor) which means it is easy to experience all of the main strip unlike some hotels that are mid-way meaning you have to walk in one direction and then back on yourself.

Cool casino downstairs, plus awesome swimming pool and popular club within the hotel complex. Parking was easy with multistory car park about 100m away. More than good for those on a budget.

Was not greater well, they didnt have any king rooms ready at 9pm as a hhonors member figured might be offered an upgraded room. Instead was downgraded. Not a big complainer so just would say an over all not very pleasant experience. Will not recommended or be returning.

No microwave or refrigerator, no complimentary breakfast. The floor smelled musty/dank, but they had a dehumidifier running on the floor. There wasn't much upkeep /maintenance to the hotel. The TV only had standard channels.

There's a reason it's only $45 a night. The band stand for the Fremont Experience was right under our room music was so loud our room vibrated until 1:30am. The staff were great and very friendly.

The review was for "The D Hotel" (downtown), I'm not sure how the review ended up for the Tropicana, I apologize for my mistake. I did however at the same time attend my son s wedding at the Tropicana that was truly a beautiful experience, that I will never forget. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Again, I apologize for my mistake giving the Tropicana a negative review.

The Tropicana was a great venue for DefCon. The place was comfortable and the staff seems to work hard to ensure all the guests were satisfied. Since I was only there and attended an event in their conference space I cannot provide a more comprehensive picture.

The motel experience was excellent. That being said there's a lot that could do as far as food. The wife and I had a breakfast buffet and for the two of us it was fifty bucks. The exact same breakfast that I could have had it any other motel for free
