They have 2 rinks, practice rink for the team and then the game rink. During public skating they used to offer game rink which is the nicer one and I feel like has much better ice, but for some reason they have been doing public skating on the practice ice rink (right side), but you will know the difference just by the presentation each rink and of course the seating. The first time I went on the ice on the practice Rink Side oh, it was so bad that I was doing my figure skating and fell and broke my wrist. There was quite a few people there so I was in the far left hand corner where the Zamboni goes in and out but I think the ice in general is just really rough all the way around in that rink. It is one of the only rinks around the Concord area that do public skating year around though. If you don't mind traveling, Plymouth State Ice Rink is awesome!!! I've been to many Rinks and that's by far one of the best sheets of ice I've skated on...Just saying
The short Video was just taken on Saturday and it's the practice rink side. It's all I had for a shot of the ice. That handsome man is my other half and he would kill me, figuratively speaking of course, if he knew I posted ......sooo...
... . Gotta give him credit though, it was his first time ever going ice skating in his life-plus he had rentals to top it off. Usually the rentals are TERRIBLE because they're old school and they must rarely sharpen them. We got lucky, or should I say HE, because they all got sharpened at the end of the winter season. Anyway...he's video shy, so I apologize for the quality. I tried!!! Hope it's good enough that you can get a feel for the rink at least. The facility itself is very nice and has a mini arcade and a view of both rinks that you can watch from on the main floor. The shop and concessions they have as well but it's only open during games, or at least that I've seen...and I'm there a lot during public and freestyle skate. That's one of my favorite things about Tri-Town, they are open to the public 6 days a week enough they have a game or tournaments. Sorry for the long review but hope that some of you at least find it helpful at some point or another in this Novel. Hahaha
