I have experienced this organization as very pleasant before, during and after my trip, they have always kept me informed and supported me in everything. They gave me very nice tips and clear so that I could leave with confidence. I worked in Australia as an au pair for 8 months. After this great adventure I also became an ambassador and I like to tell other people about my experiences. They also help and support you in this if you need help with something. They appreciate you as a person.

Very hypocritical. You have to be free for 2 years to be able to participate in the aupair program. that means if you have been to a physio or psychologist or something six months ago, it will not go ahead. Because then you could not take the responsibility to care for children.

Good day,

Good day,
Hereby a review about a student in house.
We had registered as a host family for a foreign student, and could come in January 2018. On August 2017, we were called several times by travel active or we wanted to take a student home in September. We thought we would give it a chance some insistence. (later we understood why. we explain this later) September our student came from Thailand, without consultation how she would be picked up, she arrived at 7.00 am and I had night shift. Then she takes a taxi, she was communicated (hopeless), so quickly from my work to pick her up. Of course she asked which school she went to, was not arranged. With co-operation and coercion on our part, it took 1 month before she could go to school, what a poor guidance. Travel Active gives you the idea that you should give students a chance because they are not all mediators, we do not receive a euro for the reception as a host family. Well, we knew that, our student was planning a holiday, or went on vacation. I have called here with travel active, we feel misled and are used as a hotel .. Normally a family research is done for a student comes to us this is not done, but the financial is more important than the personal. We talk about This course of events has a very bad feeling about it. Our student is now back to Thailand without speaking a word of Dutch (really instructive). When she left, nothing was arranged how she could come to Schiphol, we had to arrange a very bad experience with Travel Active. It is a commercial foundation that only thinks in the interests of itself, and not the student. It was a negative experience for our family, and would discourage everyone. Completing this review.28-06-2018 is Anne Meijers Travel Active at our home to talk about this review, It was a good and enlightening conversation, and Anne admitted that there was a lot of error. Has explained well how the working method of Travel Active, and normally the good coaching is great fun to take a student home. Confidence has been restored, and my sincere apologies for my negative statements about Travel Active. Sometimes you have to deal with the law of Murphy, and that is neatly solved. .vr gr Fam.A.Hendrks

Traveled to the United States as an au pair in 2016 with Travel Active. The preparation was very clear, when I called the Au Pair team with questions they immediately knew who I was and how far I was in the process. I myself have also been called to give some tips and advice about my profile. I have experienced an unforgettable adventure as an au pair and I wish everyone that! Kudos to Travel Active!

From the end of August to the end of October 2013 ...

From the end of August to the end of October 2013 I went to Zambia with Travel Active for 2 months to do volunteer work and experience the journey of a lifetime. The choice for Travel Active came after I had been to one of the information evenings of Travel Active. Here I received a lot of information and I could ask all my questions. I also received an e-mail address from an old volunteer who had also been to Zambia, so that I could ask specific questions. Very nice to be helped immediately. I was also helped with the preparation of my trip and I could always call if I had any questions.

And then the journey really begins, flying on your own to an unknown country, exciting but also great fun! For me it was really a 'Welcome in Africa' as on arrival in Livingstone there was no one with a sign with my name on it. That may be a shock, but luckily after some phone calls and waiting, I was picked up anyway. The volunteer work that I was able to do in Livingstone was also a great experience (helping in a medical clinic). The nice thing about Travel Active was that you are completely free, of course this is exciting in the beginning. But when I saw that other volunteers from other organizations had a very fixed rhythm and always had a supervisor who came with them, I was happy that I could decide for myself what to do and get on my bike and see what Livingstone was all about . It does require some initiative of course, but you need that anyway when you start doing volunteer work.

All in all the 2 months have flown by and I wish I had had more time to see and do more in beautiful Africa. I recommend everyone if you have the chance to grab it and gain experience with volunteering and visit beautiful parts of the world. And if you have made that choice, then also choose Travel Active, they can help you with everything you might know less about.
