Transtar Moving Systems Review

My family has used Transtar a number of times over the past ten years, and our experience has always been excellent. Whether local or long distance, and even when moves involved a few stops along the way, they were attentive to details and always managed to get our belongings where they needed to be in good shape, and on schedule. The personnel we have worked with were careful and efficient. I was able to focus on all the other many things that required attention and really didn't have to worry about the movers. They always come through! I will continue recommending them highly.

Pat Sipera is world class. Every customer I ve referred to him has received exceptional service. He is personal and organized. He follows up and makes sure the customers concerns are handled. Transtar moving systems did a great job for my 86 yr old mother with her move from New Jersey to Pennsylvania. They packed up all the items the first day and then moved all items and furniture on day two. The crews led by foreman Bill Miller showed up at 8 am both mornings and worked with great care to make sure the items were safe. The crews were very polite and professional. Once again our thanks go out to Transtar and the very professional crews they have.

These guys were great they moved us out of our apartment to our new house 20 min down the road in record timing and with extreme care of our goods and furniture. I would highly recommend them to anyone and definitely would recommend for any other first time home buyer. From scheduling the move to the actual day of the move they were very helpful. Would use again if I moved into a bigger house.

We moved something more than a roomful of furniture, weighing approximately 3,000 pounds, from Southern New Jersey to midcoast Maine a few weeks ago. All the people we dealt with at Transtar were very nice and highly professional. When our shipment arrived, the driver told us that one piece, a custom made end table, had been damaged in transit with a leg broken off. Having taken replacement cost insurance, we filed a claim with photos of the damaged table and a similar used table selling on ebay for $499. We received a check for that amount within three weeks. Transtar was great; I would happily use them again!

We had a great experience with Transtar. They were referred by one of my Wife's coworkers. From the initial sales visit to paying the final bill everything went smooth. We ended up coming in about $100 UNDER the estimate! The reason for that was the crew that took care of our belongings. They are: David Raymond, George Gindhart, Brent Lobascio and Eric Wilson Sr. These guys didn't mess around they were a well oiled machine and had a safely moved almost an hour ahead of schedule. I am please to report there was ZERO damage to our belongings or either house. We plan on moving long distance in a few years and I will definitely do this move with Transtar! Thanks again!

I've used Transtar personally for 2 moves in the past 3 years they've moved family and friends on my recommendation during the same period. They've exceeded expectations in every instance. Prompt, polite and incredibly hard-working - from the office to the guys on the truck. Won't even consider anyone else in the future.

Terrible experience. Would never recommend. Moved from my home of 30 years in Delran to Lakewood NJ. They stored my furniture for less than a month. When furniture arrived there was major damage on almost every piece of furniture. Cracked dresser mirror, corners broken off of granite tabletops, missing lampshades. Pieces that I've owned for over 30 years completely destroyed and irreplaceable. Filed a claim with them and all they offered was a $300 settlement for damages worth thousands of dollars. They never even sent anyone out to assess damage

Professional from the first call to working with the coordinator. Attentive, informative and accurate. They genuinely care about your move and personal belongings. I will not use anyone else for future needs but Transtar and would recommend them to everyone.

Our movers were awesome, they took care of our belongings like they were their own and were very professional and a pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend our crew, Ryan Herndon, Miguel Rodrigues, Misael Martinez and Pascual Florez; can't say enough good things about them!

We first met Mike who gave us our proposal and he was right on target. Frank who over saw the move came to the house a few days before the actual move to package all the artwork, mirrors and larger breakable items. On the day of the move, 6 men arrived to load two trucks one that was going to a temporary living space and the other to go to their storage facility. I found all of the employees to be courteous and careful. The crew showed up on time, promptly got to work and had both trucks loaded by noon. I was in my new space with all my belongings by 3 in the afternoon. Beds were put together and furniture was in the designated spots and nothing was broken or damaged. I was very pleased with the move and would definitely use Transtar again.

I absolutely DO NOT recommend this company for moving. This was not our first move with a moving company, so we knew what to expect. But the experience with this company and its specific #1 team(that's what the agent said) that showed up was HORRIFIC. It made our move that was supposed to be exciting to heart breaking with anger. Our specific team came into our home like bulls in a china shop. We were CONTRACTED 3 days of packing, the team wanted to do it in 1, slightly 1 and a half days. So if you value your items you worked hard for and love and don't want them broken, damaged, or sweated(bodyfluid) on.. DO NOT USE this company. They in no way will care if your items are broken or damaged. All they are worried about it is getting into your home as fast as possible and throwing it all in the truck so they can leave. They say they will work room by room BUT ours did not!. All 4 people went all different directions, so if you didn't pack it they packed it, and what I mean by them packing is throwing items into a box and sealing it with tape so you will have no idea what's in the box until you actually open it. Finally we were given a quote, we agreed and signed. When the truck was weighed the AGENT & Drivers bullied us to pay more because it had more weight then the AGENT quoted. The CONTRACT stated we wouldn't pay over what the Agent estimated us but if you want your items then you must pay. Total hogwash!!! .... HORRIBLE DO NOT USE. DO NOT USE!!!

We recently used Transtar moving company from our home in Philadelphia to our new home in clarksboro, NJ. We were very impressed by their customer service, moving team, and overall experience. I recently had Transtar do a local move. They did a great job. Their price was very competitive and they were very professional. During the move a piece of glass broke and Transtar quickly helped get the glass replaced.

I PCSd back in the end of Jun 2016 from Ft Dix. The female Packers that came were all related to each other, from speaking with one of them. The small to medium boxes that were packed by them were taped and no sign of reopening when it arrived to final destination. I had items that were of high value come up missing. Items in the night table were packed in one box. My wife and I had forgot that we had gems in the night table. The gems were double boxed so you could not tell gems were in there unless you took time to check. My wife's hair appliance also came up missing that should have been packed. Other items that should have been packed with surrounding items in the smaller boxes have come up missing. The person I had spoken to arrived the second day and questioned why it took Packers so long to accomplish what they did the day prior. The person I spoke to was the person I signed inventory sheets with. Individual items in the smaller sealed boxes don't get inventoried. Be careful with Packers, keep an eye out. The Packers literally get to put hands on all your belongings.

The people that packed and took the stuff we're great. But waited 15 days then they say there not coming till 5-6pm. Mom mother is old this is really unacceptable. Also they over charged here. Not freaking happy. Never ever again.

I just moved from New Jersey to Miami, and it was my first big move so I was a little nervous about it. I'm so glad I went with Transtar to help me, because they took a lot of the stress out of moving. The team who came in and packed up my items were careful, professional, and experienced. My furniture arrived perfectly on time and in the same condition I had left it in. I will definitely be using them in the future.

The moving crew from Transtar made our move a better experience! After getting several quotes, I went with Transtar because their hourly rate was more economical and they offered a AAA discount. However, the crew that showed up made it all worth it! Ryan, Reese, Doug and one more (I lost my notes) were GREAT! They were on time, went over the job to know what to move and promptly got to work. The weather was damp and rain was eminent, so they worked non-stop (no breaks) to get it onto the truck, and into the new house as quickly as possible. They wrapped our belongings with care and made recommendations along the way. It was TWO FULL days of moving stuff. I made sure to request the same crew for both days. They made sure all the boxes were where we wanted them, offered to move furniture around in the rooms. It was an overwhelming 2 days but they sure helped by handling our belongings with care and moving it between the two homes as quickly and carefully as possible. We had NO mishaps or damages to report. Everything was is good shape. THANK YOU guys for all the help and hard work.

I've worked with Transtar as a Client of theirs for the last (20) years! I have always found them to give their very best ALL THE TIME! The Owner is always there with a "make it happen" attitude 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! There are not enough positive words to say... They are a HUGE part of keeping our work moving! THE BEST!

Great experience recently moving with Transtar. Frank and his crew were very efficient and professional. Nothing was a problem for them, from making an extra stop to pick up items to getting the truck down a very narrow street. They worked quickly which saved me money from the initial estimate. Also Frank put together a table and bed frame for me.

My family and I moved from South NJ to North of Philadelphia and Transtar was great every step of the way! Patrick was excellent with the initial estimate and responsiveness. The office was easy to work with and the moving team that helped was amazing. We moved during the recent Nor'Easter that hit the east coast and it didn't phase David Raymond or his guys one bit. I lived in my home for 22 yrs so moving was emotional. Since I was selling my home I moved in two stages. First to remove most items to stage and then the rest when house was sold. The first team where excellent, they treated my things so carefully it didn t take long to feel confident. The second move went just as well, I had the privilege to have a new team and they got everything in despite my miscalculation of items to be moved. They assured me it was no problem and reduced my worries.

The office personnel Danielle and especially Tiffiany really helped me when it was time to move from storage to my new home.

Moving out or in is not easy but these folks made it so non eventful. They show up on time, packed and unpacked my things so professionally and it s lovely to have you things put back they way they belong.

Most importantly since I stored with them that was the real treat. Everything came back exactly as they went in. Even my case of wine was perfect. No damp boxes and no bugs.

We used Transtar to move us from our home of 30 years in Cinnaminson, NJ to Florida. Everyone was very professional and helpful. Their estimate is a not to exceed, so you know up front the costs. I went to the Moorestown location and they gave me lots of used boxes. I also bought some boxes. The picture frame boxes are great. The wardrobe boxes are sturdy and reasonably priced and make packing so much easier. The movers all wear Arpin shirts and are professional. They arrived early and quickly inventoried the house. I had a few boxes I was concerned with and they handled them carefully. They arrived safely. All the furniture was wrapped. We had one piece of furniture that had some minor damage. I called and they responded quickly with information on submitting a claim. I would recommend Arpin/Transtar to anyone moving. They do a nice job!!!

I was very impressed with David, Andrew, Matthew and Justin, the way they moved my furniture and other belongings, and Frank who packed my kitchen and other things. They were on time, very polite, careful and tried to meet my needs. I would highly recommend Transtar services to others.

Our experience with Transtar Moving was excellent! We received all the support we needed prior to the move, and on moving day we were very impressed with the number of staff assigned to our appointment. Our business was moved painlessly and the staff was very courteous and helpful.

Transtar moved us out of our house and into storage for the time being. Everything went better than I could have hoped! The price was fair, communications both before and during the move were excellent. Ryan H., Dave R., Reese H. And Lee B. did an excellent job for us. They arrived right on time, toured the house with us and got right to work. The team has neat, friendly & courteous, very efficient, and finished 15 minutes ahead of schedule. All furniture was disassembled and well-wrapped, floor were covered and large pictures and mattresses boxed-up. It was a pretty hot day and we have a lot of furniture & boxes that required 1 3/4 straight trucks. We had no problems at all.

When we get to our new house we are looking forward to the same great experience with Transtar.

From the moment I contacted this moving company - until they came back two days after moving to find my son's missing XBox (not missing, just a misplaced box in the garage) this company was hands down the best moving company our family has used. The personal care in every area (from coming to my home for estimate, follow up, scheduling, rescheduling, packing, moving out and than moving in) this crew was excellent. They were happy, positive and I felt put my needs above all else. They asked questions and it was evident at each point they are experienced and professional to their core.

Shout out to the team on my job that was exceptional: Michael Forbeck (his professionalism from day one sealed this deal), Tiffany Brewer (her communication skills in scheduling, rescheduling and answering questions outstanding), Corey Nolan & Pete Suarez (they felt like the leaders of this move out/in team and they allowed me to be calm as they were the most patient men with a BIG job), Bill Miller, Torey Green, Jay Lopas, Frank Selmon Jr, Frank Barreto, Savon Saxton-Spencer, and Eric Gauntt rounded out the crew. They worked well together and as a true team. All of my furnishings arrived inside the new home the same way it left the old one. This is our families 4th move (in 20 years) and I have always had something broken/shifted in the move. Not this time.

Finally - yesterday as I looked out into my back yard and saw 200 moving boxes (true #) I emailed Transtar to say, I felt overwhelmed by these boxes and that the rain was coming. The Farmhouse we are in doesn't have places to put all the boxes after unpacking. Within 30 minutes Pete & Torey showed up with a moving truck and took away all the boxes.....I felt like it was a HUGE gift to my family after what has been a week of moving.

I would like to thank our salesman Patrick, Alyssa in the office and our movers...Ryan Herndon, Frank Selmon Jr., Miguel Rodriguez and Dan Mintzer for such an outstanding move! We have moved a few times over the years and I have to say I wished I had found Transtar sooner!! Everyone was professional and courteous. They accommodated our every need without question. We researched and received many estimates before our move. Thankfully we made the right choice with Transtar! Not only was it the best deal, by far, the guys were absolutely incredible. They took care great care of all our belongings and made sure everything was perfect. Definitely the best moving company around!

I cannot put into words how wonderful Thomas and Reese were helping me move from Marlton to Voorhees. I ended up having to move on a weekday and no one was available to help me. Thomas and Reese were respectful, kind, funny, and honest and upfront about cost. They eliminated so much stress and kept me smiling throughout the day. We had a team of five from TRANSTAR for the move from Sewell, NJ to Moorestown, NJ and each team member was motivated, professional and so, so friendly. Moving is one of the most stressful things a person can go through but not with Transtar, we just just sat back and let them do their job and guess what....NO STRESS! Transtar Moving Systems was highly recommended to us by our Real Estate Agent who informed us that the guys doing their personal move were "amazing".

Unfortunately, we could not state the same.

However, after subsequent conversations with their Customer Service Rep (Lindsay), their Claims Manager (Kristy) and the Owner (Wayne), we feel that they are a reputable business who really do care. Our experience has been that they are willing to admit mistakes and do what they can to rectify them.

Transtar does require the Customers to purchase their own moving insurance, which I was surprised to learn and don't recall that being part of my experience with other moving companies. So, I would suggest doing some homework on how other moving companies handle moving insurance.

Bottom line, if I were to move again, I would try Transtar again especially now that they know us and we know the Owner.

I've used Transtar Moving for my last two moves and was so pleased that I recommended them to my daughter on her latest small move a long distance. A salesman comes out to look at what you are moving and estimate how many boxes or clothes wardrobes you'll need. Then you get a price. My final price was always a little higher than estimated but I built that in when I was deciding who to pick as my mover. The gentlemen who physically moved my furniture were truly gentle. I have some big pieces so it wasn't an easy job for them, but they soldiered on without complaint. I also found them to be kind. A good value and good work. Thus, 5 stars.

Transfer moving moved all of my mother s and I belongings last September so that our house could be rebuilt. Everything seemed fine, and they were very professional. When our house was finished we unloaded the storage unit to find that my 6 2 surfboard wasn t there!

Really?

One of two things happened here.

A.) the movers broke it since thy didn t know how fragile they were and didn t man up to admit it.

B.) they stole it (which seems unrealistic)

Look, I don t do this kind of thing often. I can t prove it was your company that made my board disappear. All I know it is not here and we saw it being moved into the truck.

This really sucks for me considering I just started having a steady income again and it will take a while for me to save up 700 to buy a new board.

Recently made a move to Florida from New Jersey and called Transtar for a quote. Scot came out to do the not-to-exceed quote, and he was very nice and professional. Had a quote immediately. The crew that came to pick up the things was great, friendly and efficient. Once the items were delivered to Florida, we found out that the weight was higher than estimated. However, Trsnstar stood by their estimate and did not charge extra. They were true to their word, and I highly recommend them!
