Transtar Moving Systems was highly recommended to us by our Real Estate Agent who informed us that the guys doing their personal move were "amazing".

Unfortunately, we could not state the same.

However, after subsequent conversations with their Customer Service Rep (Lindsay), their Claims Manager (Kristy) and the Owner (Wayne), we feel that they are a reputable business who really do care. Our experience has been that they are willing to admit mistakes and do what they can to rectify them.

Transtar does require the Customers to purchase their own moving insurance, which I was surprised to learn and don't recall that being part of my experience with other moving companies. So, I would suggest doing some homework on how other moving companies handle moving insurance.

Bottom line, if I were to move again, I would try Transtar again especially now that they know us and we know the Owner.

Additionally, knowing our Real Estate Agent's experience and how we were handled, we would most likely recommend them to our associates so long as we provided some accurate detail of our move so that our associates could make a somewhat informed decision on their own.
