Great service by all staff at the hotel, consistent security checks can be annoying

Sule Shangi-La Yangon is one of the five (5) star hotels in Yangon, Myanmar. Located along Sule Pagoda Road in downtown Yangon, the hotel is just a stone-throw away from the Sule Pagoda. The hotel is connected to the Sule Square, a 2-storey mall with shops like Emporio Armani, Remax, Miniso, Innovate, and City Mart. The mall also has restaurants like Shan Yoe Yar and some food stores at the basement. Shan Yoe Yar serves traditional Myanmar food especially those from Shan State.

The hotel lobby is not as grand and big as other Shangri-La Hotels I've seen in other countries. The reception area is also a bit small but the wood carvings which serves as its decor is impressive. The main staircase also is a bit small compared to the grand staircase of other Shangri-La Hotels.

They have a buffet restaurant Cafe Sule, serving international dishes. The selection was impressive although, again, not as wide as the selection in other branches. The hotel's bake shop was also modest, with a few selection of bread and cakes.

I did not stay in this hotel so I cannot say anything about the rooms.

Nice and quiet restaurants. Excellent facilities and privacy.

The refuge when nothing works in Yangon. Place for all the expats to get decent internet and forget the hassle outside. It can't be compared to other Shangri-La hotels though or at least I find the food so-so and the design very old school.

Spectacular breakfast, the room was immaculate and very large. The bed very comfortable.

Neat, clean and spacious rooms, excellent staff and amazing service

An elegant hotel that any traveller will want stay. The swimming pool is clean and the gym and pretty impressive with a suana and jacuzzi available as well. The room have a nice bath tub for a good rest after a long day. There is a CB bank for money exchange just in case you forgotten to change to Myanmar Kyat. It is link to Sule Shopping as well with a super market which have all local food for sales. Surrounding have plenty local food and 2 cinemaa across the streets.

The personalised attention given at all levels is outstanding.
Especially the room cleaning staff As we are very very frequent stayers we feel that the near to home feeling is achieved through them.

Excellent hotel in Yangon, great environment, very clean and well equipped rooms, lovely staff and their well spread breakfast was really wonderful. Like any other Shangri-La property, this a Sule Shangri-La hotel is a great place to stay in Yangon, Myanmar.

Love this hotel. Have been coming here for nearly 20 years, and always been made welcome by the friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are comfortable. The food is great. And it's an excellent central location, with great views over the city and the Shwe Dagon Pagoda. Thoroughly recommended.

My stay at Sule Shangri-La at Yangon was really wonderful. All of the staff there were really engaging and it was such a good experience. I would definitely recommend everyone to stay at Shangri-La.

For me personally, it was a good way for me to celebrate my anniversary. I would want to stay at Shangri-La hotels in whichever country I head to next as the service provided is exceptional! Keep up the good work!

All restaurants are good foods after changing raw materials silly system.

Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful and always with a happy smile on their faces.

Staff are courteous that is important, good breakfast with good choices. The room is clean and refreshing. It is located at prime location, close to amenities and city centre. I did not have a change to experience other facilities in a hotel but I hope to stay longer next time.

The hotel is good, but the average prices for food are crazy.. it is Yangon not New York!

All ard the htl & in the suite, there r beautiful wood carvings, ornamented to look like bronze sculptures .. very pretty ..

Very nice hotel.. at the heart of yangon and one of the famous hotel of Myanmar. Good location and service. Severals attraction places near by. You guys should try to stay here when you arrive yangon.

We had a wonderful stay in the Sule Shangri-la and would like to extend our greatest thanks to your staff. Aum (I can't remember her full name) and the rest of the staff at the Club Lounge and Cafe Sule. A very wonderful bunch of people. Please give us a pat on their shoulders for the kind hospitality shown. We felt very at home and definitely enjoyed the facilities the hotel provided.

Outstanding services especially from Housekeeping Ms. Phyu handled so well and so care my amenities and stuff which I never had that awesome experiences over the course of many years staying at 4 or 5 star hotels and resorts. Greatly appreciated it.

Also, the great feeling of personal touch from Mr. Aung Than Soe, Director of Rooms which is fantastic and I would like to say huge thank to Mr. Aung.

The only thing which I do not like about Sule Shangri-la is that there is no standing shower

center because it is fine, Multiple Vehicle, People who simply resort to stay weak

It's city centre for the Yangon, I think. Well decorated place.

Everyone Friendly, Everyone positive and helpful. Rooms comfortable, could use a "polish" however we have no complaints. Excellent location two blocks from Scotts Market....if you like to shop....bring cash! Wonderful hospitality. Thank you.

Good bakery and coffee shop there.

Good swimming pool at 5th floor and gym room.
Steam bath is available, as well as sauna and Jacuzzi

Great hotel Great staff we met at Shangri-la Yangon.
Nice to see the local unique "dress" the staff put on whatever women or men and made us more understand the local culture at all.

Rooms are OK. Good for business stay.
There's scope to improve range of cuisines available. Kitchen requires a bit more attention.
Staff are good and courteous.
Parking available.
Overall stay is pleasant.

The Yangon hotel is near perfect! For a road warrior like me, that is the highest of compliments.

Coffee Shop colleagues are very helpful. They will go further miles to provide assisstance. Very pleasant.

One point I would like to make suggestion is that Horizon Lounge could share sandwich or snacks during lunch time. Especially sometimes the hotel guests may want to take a light bite during the hot weather.

Room on 6th floor with a roof view... Take always a high floor in that hotel.
Service OK. Breakfast OK. Not more than that. Good location, attached to a mall with a good restaurant on it's 2 nd floor. Typical Burmese good food, forgot the name..they accept credit cards (not usual in Burma).

1. please make sure there are no mosquitoes from the plants placed in the back (chairs and sofas) of the waiting lounge as this was very disturbing
2. please do not make the rooms very cold (AC) or make sure the visitors can turn the temperature up as they please

Located in heart of city.Many shops and office,banks.

Top hotel, not cheap. For great rooms and amazing breakfast buffet, unfortunately you are not able to taste everything.
