Very expensive. And overrated. Can enjoy the sights of Yangon through other hostels with a reasonable price.

The lunch buffet was up 1 dollar from 26 July last year. A large number of items. Many delicious things. There are sushi but not for Japanese people. Indian food is better.

I have stayed at Sule Shangri-La Yangon 20+ times over 8 years and always enjoy the fantastic support, the constant warm welcome and the professionalism of its highly educated staff. The food, location, lobby, fitness and gym area, executive floors are all excellent.

Lovely Hotel Close Parkson Department Store only 5 minutes walk

was a short 2 nights stay in Yangon and decided to try out Sule Shangri-la. I've arranged airport pick up and the service starts right from the airport. Andrew picked us up and though limited English but there's always that bright smile. subsequently as we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted at the hotel entrance and room was ready even though we were early. decided to take up the offer for the upgraded suite (would be great if it was complimentary). room was huge but a little dated. however the services were just wonderful. at the concierge, both Jason and Tun were helpful giving tips and arranging transportation. highly recommended to test out their concierge counter staff. cant recall the supervisor name but hands down to the training. massage was good as well, it was clean and masseur Nang was great, though the second time by another masseur wasn't that impressive.

overall we were being pampered by these awesome staffs.. I'm sure I missed out a lot of names and enjoyed our stay very much

I requested for an upgrade which got me access to the Club floor which I greatly appreciated.

I had also got some fresh flowers and the hotel was good enough to keep it in a vase of water when I came back to my room.

I had a great experience. The room is clean, well arranged and has all the necessary amenities. The in-room dining is also excellent. I cannot ask for more.

Love their lobby cafe "Peacock Lounge", a good place to chill out with friends or casual business meeting, made perfect by good foods. Tried their Hi-Tea set, which turned out to be special "Mango selection". 1 stand portion (with two cups of coffee/tea) is enough for two persons (if you are not starved of course).

I'm happy to stay here, all staff are good service mind and take care very well.

The point systems only active after 2 weeks of checkout and did not receive any email notification upon installation of Shangri-la apps. While waiting for Jade member to activate, there is no temporary card provided for Jade members who's stay already exceeded 20 days.

We held our Teachers' Seminar at Sule Shangri-la Yangon. I want to commend being accommodative to our needs and budget. Your team has managed to waive the extra charges when they upgraded us to a bigger room. We also requested for backdrop and was charged for USD70. However, the LCD projector screen covered the backdrop. We brought it up to the team and they agreed not to charge the backdrop. This something the event team should consider when there is a projector screen. Perhaps place the backdrop at another area, Overall we are very pleased with the event.

We also want to give thanks to the frontliners, from the concierge (Jason, K and Dennis) to the reception (Freddy, Jesicca, Ameko, Myatsu, Steven and Yamin). My special thanks go to Jason who helped us with airport transfer (both ways) from Mandalay airport to Hotel Marvel. He has gone an extra mile although it has nothing to do with Shangri-la.

Great Hotel, love the spa especially their competent spa therapist , namely Aye Aye and Thiri. Me and my wife will definitely go back.

Good position, just in the downtown Yangon, walkable distance to the Sule Pagoda and the Aung Sang Market. The hotel also arranged transfer service from and to the airport.

Although you are 5 stars hotel, shangrila La Yangon always clarify the price of each service menu. I like it.

By the way, one of your staff at the caffe of your entrance lobby kindly told me that I did not earn the points of gold membership at all till now and suggested me to check my status nad total points.

The Traders Hotel Yangon is undoubtedly one of the most luxurious and beautiful in the city. However, my experience was not pleasant. It is unacceptable that in the shower room there is a plastic curtain to avoid splashing. The windows of the room, even if it was more than 30 days without rain, were dirty. The changing rooms of the gym were dirty and overcrowded, since the access is allowed to local people. It took almost 30 minutes to check-in. In my opinion, since I have spent more than 250 USD for a room, it is not tolerable. We have found in Myanmar lower class hotels but much cleaner.
I was very surprised by the friendliness of the staff. In particular, Mr. Myo helped us solve some misunderstandings with the travel agency, even if it was not his task.

Stayed here for 2nights. Welcoming staff and very good service.

The hotel is in the center of Yangon. There is a way to connect to the mall, convenient transportation, big, luxury, according to Shangarila standard. The room is spacious, clean, mattress is soft, comfortable to sleep.

All amenities in the room is perfect. Just only air-condition is not quiet, it was noisy which made me not sleep well.

A good business hotel and a good base for doing business in Yangoon but nothing special.

Overall, we enjoyed the service of the staff the most. Our room had lovely views of the city and the Horizon Club did not disappoint. Excellent service quality. Our only concern is that the hotel could use a freshen-up. We stopped in for drinks or dinner at The Strand and Rosewood and their feeling is of luxury is classic, yet contemporary.

Definitely one of the best hotels in Yangon. Even if you do not stay in the hotel you can buy dinner. This dish, which you get as a buffet, is both delicious and good quality and definitely worth the money you will pay. In Yangon, it is impossible to buy better and cheaper varieties. I advise.

Would have given 5 stars if it wasn t for the mosquitoes in the lobby. But there are indeed mosquitoes in Yangon. So for those who have mosquito bites allergy please come with plasters and repellent sprays. Shangri la should consider putting citronella around the lobby area to deter the mosquitoes from flying in?
Horizon club checkin was good as we were accompanied up to the lounge (unlike other Shangri la where they ask you to proceed to the lounge yourself). Hotel transfer from airport was smooth. However it is pricey $40usd. May want to consider grab taxi $10usd if not travelling with kids.
The king suite was nice and spacious and the kids loved the rollaway bed. We had requested for cup noodles as the complimentary welcome refreshments but had instead received Coke Zero. Room was kept clean and housekeeping (Daniel) was very diligent. No mosquitoes in the room thankfully (level 12). There is also an ice dispenser along the corridor (comes from filtered water). They also provided sufficient bottled water and toiletries. Toilet has both a shower stall and separate bathtub.
The hotel was only a short 10 minutes walk to both the Bogyoke Aung San market and junction city. The hotel is also connected directly to the sule mall where you can find good Italian food (Casa Mia), money changer, pharmacy, supermarket and other restaurants (though far lesser options as compared to junction city).
Breakfast buffet at cafe sule has a bigger spread as compared to horizon lounge (though understandably it s more crowded).
All in all would come back to stay at Shangri la sule if I am in Yangon again.
