I trust Toyota of Grand Rapids service department to keep my car safe and reliable. I've been going to them for at least 15 years now and have very few complaints. In fact, my next new car will be a Toyota, not only because they're great cars, but because I love the Toyota of GR Service Department so much. I think their pricing is fair, and they have a very comfortable and spacious waiting area. Ben Dekruyter was very helpful during my last visit also. Highly recommend!

I brought the car in for an oil change and the service rep looked up the records on the car and told me of the other things now due. He gave me an estimate of the time requirements and the cost. I gave my approval and went in the waiting room with my book to read. Shortly afterward another service rep came in and said the work is going to take much longer and he would provide me with a loaner so they could complete the work by the next morning between 9 and 10. I took the loaner and the work was done around 9:30. I had told them I needed my car by 10 to go on vacation. Everything was completed as promised. Excellent service and good customer care.

They tricked me so much!!!Don't understand why there's so much 5 stars,if there has 0 star,I would give 0 star.this is the worst dealership I deal with.we were looking for a RAV4 and the sales man told us a out of door price and telling us that this price also can get 0% apr.before that they already checked our credit,and told us we can get that price and 0% apr.also before we went to the dealership,we texted the sales man to double check the price and everything,and the salesman answered"yes" to us.but when we went there and ready to buy the vehicle,the manager tried thousand ways to raise 500 dollors on it,telling us if we wanted to do 0% apr.we had to pay 500 dollors more.and he's so rude just looks like we r owing his money.we took one hour to drive to them,and before we started to drive,they text me to make sure the price and 0% apr,I got so mad coz it's really a trick,if they can't sell me at that price,they can tell me before I came,but they didn't,they just using thousand ways to let me came over,and using thousand ways to trick me letting me pay more.WE DRIVE 75 MILES TO THERE,AND DRIVE ANOTHER 75 MILES BACK HOME,TIRED AND WASTED WHOLE DAY TO GET NOTHING.and the manager was really rude,never seen a business man can be so rude.I WANT TO TELL U GUYS,TO BE HONEST TO DO BUSINESS,DONT TRICK UR CUSTOMERS.If u guys keep doing this to ur customers,u may can still in business for years,but it won't be long.

Dignity toward your customers, is the number one tool, you can use to keep customers from going to a different Auto dealerships. I dropped off my car yesterday, and came the next day to pick it up, and they told me to wait another 45 to 50 mins, and ended up waiting almost 5 hours. Although, the service was good, I don't tolerate the bad temper and dishonesty, alright! Just because you have a different name and you speak differently don't mean you should be treated with indignity. They didn't even have the courage to ask how to spell and pronounce my name. I had lost my dignity at this location, and that's something I don't tolerate. It s a double standard to wait almost 5 hours, and treated badly. Ended up paying $1353.45, just to get the brake problems repaired.

Brought my 2004 Corolla in for diagnosis and care. Time in was 10:15 Monday. Dave told me they could do the work that day and would be done about 5:00 pm. So I took courtesy ride home. At 4:00 pm, Dave called me and asked if car could stay overnight. I said ok. I called at 11:00 on Tuesday and he said almost ready, so I called for courtesy ride back. I wanted 25 minutes to get my car. Asked Dave what problem was and he told me the problem was not with my car, it was another car the mechanic was working on. I had to cancel a Dr appointment on Tues. If I had known about the overnight, I would have brought it in another day. Sorry, but I have a life too and you had my car 26 hours for 5 hrs work. Happy with car but not service department. He gave me a 10% discount, but looked like he had already added that in. My time is valuable too. Thanks

My coworker suggested Nick Snyder at Toyota of GR when we needed to buy a few fleet vehicles, because he had a great experience buying a truck from Nick . I dreaded buying vehicles for our fleet because as a woman I couldn't find a good salesperson who wasn't pushy or snotty. BUT we have purchased 5 vehicles for our fleet through Nick Snyder and it has actually been enjoyable and easy each time. He is honest and doesn't waste your time or suggest things that are not necessary. He took care of everything each time and it was as smooth and problem free as I could have wanted. He has even delivered all 5 for us on his lunch break each time because that is what worked for my schedule AND kept me within our tight budget with a quality Toyota. A few weeks ago it was a no brainier to go to Nick when I needed a safe vehicle for my first baby. He yet again worked a miracle and made it look easy. I would suggest Toyota of Grand Rapids to any one looking for a quality vehicle and Nick Snyder if you want to be treated with respect and legitimate caring about your needs.

Worst experience ever. Left my truck on Monday morning for a break job and it s now wed and I m still without my truck. Sat at the dealership for over 2 hours as I was told it would be done soon. Had to get a loaner car after the dealership closed to get home. This caused several issues since the loan car didn t have car seats and I had to get my kids to daycare.

Communication was poor and the use of soon is not specific. This impacted my folks person time and left me stranded or needing to obtain a rental for Monday night.

Multiple trips to the dealership and I had to make calls to find out what was happening. No proactive info to me and what info I did receive was incorrect.

Service Writer said they would have to order a lug nut or I could go down to Belle Tire and they would reimburse me. Service Writer called Parts and requested they order the part and they would be here Tuesday. No Call from the service writer to bring car back. Called parts department and no parts were ordered nor were they in stock. Service writer hasn't returned calls or emails requesting update.

Bought a car here and I had to drive back to get the title. They forgot to send me the title. They also forgot to notify the credit union of my address. I had to go and ask for the bill myself. If I didn't do this, I'd been late on my first bill. Simply put, they're quite incompetent after the sale has been made. Also, don't buy the after market warranty (you get a brochure about it during the closing process. It's $3,000 or "$25/month" as the salesman will say). It's a Toyota, you don't need a warranty for a Toyota :)

I've been visiting this location for about five years now. Always receive excellent service no matter what I am there for. The waiting area and showroom are the best in Grand Rapids bar none as well! Free coffee, wifi, and a sizable play room for the kids all help waiting go by quickly.

As usual, Ben took good care of me on my last visit. I drive a long way to the dealership because of Ben's service and if he were not there, I would probably go somewhere closer for service.

Today, the dealership righted the situation and gave me a free oil and filter change the next time I need one (and my salesman, Jim Z. made sure I received a second key and fob for the vehicle, as it did not have one the day I bought the car).

I'm very disappointed in Toyota of Grand Rapids. I put a credit card deposit of $500 down on a used vehicle. They ran my credit card not once but twice for $500! So I called and notified them what they had done. They assured me they would take care of it. I ended up purchasing the vehicle and more than 45 days after the purchase they still haven't refunded the $1000. So I've been overcharged a $1000. Then in less than 500 miles on the van we noticed some problems. My local repair shop said the left rear wheel bearing was out and the brake shoes weren't installed correctly. Obviously Toyota of Grand Rapids didn't inspect this van very well. Lastly it took Toyota of Grand Rapids more than 30 plus days to mail me the title!

I bought a 2004 Mazda 3 from this dealership in June of last year. Since then, I've been emptying my pockets on it. The pictures that they had on their website, were misleading to begin with.

When I saw the car in person there was a good size dent in the back passenger door. I started to walk around the car, there were more little dents popping up all over. Then I noticed a considerable amount of rust in a few spots. The description, of course, didn't even hint at either one of these things. When I mentioned that I had no idea it would have these problems, I was told, "yeah, I should have put something in the description. We've just been so busy posting cars online." Yeah, right.

I bought the car, because they lowered the price a little bit and I liked the overall style of the car.

Yes, everyone knows that you take a risk when you buy a used car and there will be small maintenance issues along the way. However, It only took a month before I realized there were transmission issues and my car had a weird shake to it. Turns out, all of the rims were bent and the transmission will cost $400-600 to fix.

I will do more research next time and I definitely won't be buying from here again.

We purchased a certified Toyota Sienna last October and we are very happy with it. Toyota's are quality vehicles after all. This review however is about the professionalism of Scott in sales and Ron in the service department. With all the spring rain we have had, we discovered a leak through one of the quarter panels in the rear. This was due to a repair from a previous owner that was not done properly. After investigation buy Scott and Ron they decided that it was not up to certified standards, and repaired the entire area of the van for us.
I also work in the service industry and this is how you treat your customers. I would recommend Toyota of Grand Rapids to anyone looking for a new car. They place a high value on customer service and that's what really matters to me and my family. Thanks guys!

I bought an 08 Rav4 new at this dealer, and have had it serviced here exclusively ever since.
I can say I am very pleased with the service I have received. Bruce, Ben, (and previously Glen), are always knowledgeable and professional about whatever situation is at hand. I trust their experience, and most jobs come-in UNDER the amount quoted for the job.
Their service prices compare well with most after-market offerings...and the waiting room/showroom is spectacular vs sitting around some greasy,dumpy, service facility!

I will continue to take my vehicle to TGR, because I appreciate the rigorous checks and balances built in to their service program, and they know my make/model better than any aftermarket hopefuls/wannabes.

The entire experience is first-class, from the moment you pull into the spotless service bays..till you leave.

My check engine light lit up as I backed out of my driveway Christmas Eve afternoon. As I was about to embark on a long journey home for the holidays, I called Toyota to see if they could take a look at my car. Despite an early close time (2 hours after I called), Aaron told me to bring it in and they would see what they could do. Turns out, the light lit up for a reason! After thinking I wouldn t be able to drive home, Aaron and his team found the piece needed to fix the issue and went to work right away. I was out 30 minutes before closing time. I ve gone to this dealership for repairs and inspections in the past, but this experience assured me that I should always bring my car here when I need work done. Thank you to this fantastic team!

Overall experience in the service department was very good. I was immediately assisted by the team and the work was completed in the time promised! Everyone was extremely helpful throughout the entire process.

The only challenge I did have was not with the service during that time but was with the wireless. I decided to wait the hour while getting the service thinking that I could get some work done however the wireless connection in the main service reception area and the 'quiet' area was horrible. I was never able to connect during the entire time I was there. There was a very weak signal for the Toyota guest.

My wife and I visited Toyota of Grand Rapids looking to only test drive a car. Trey Yarborough was the person that assisted us. Trey was pleasant, informative and relatable. We test drove a couple of vehicles and did not feel any pressure to make a purchase. One thing that was really nice (sales people out there please listen) is that we were able to drive the car by ourselves. I have asked several people if they want the sales person with them on a test drive and have not found one person that has said yes. It is nice to see a dealership that still pays attention to what the customer wants. We purchase a car that same day and are very happy. Trey made it a very pleasant experience for us.

A friend recommended that I go to the dealership for maintenance. I was a little skeptical at first when I called because the appointment setter sounded very robotic as she took my information. Thought perhaps they had an AI in place, but it wasn t a deal breaker. When I did come in for the oil change, I was really impressed with the service and efficiency of the operation. The service staff and courtesy driver were wonderful. They did not sound like robots and were very friendly like...a human!

I would Highly Recomend the dealer. Sales Man Anthony Wilcox and Sales Manager Mike were wonderful, extremely patient and helped me find the vehicle that I want. I looked at other dealers trying to find better deals on a truck all the way up to Winconin, Ohio I was not able to find a single one.

They also gave me best deals on rebates for the vehicle and made me really feel part of the family.

Even now when I go in for general maintenance I feel warm welcome even as of the day I purchased vehicle.

Facilities are clean, customer lounge is always full with complimentary beverages.

I bought a used Toyota from a different dealership & within 3 weeks I had to bring it in to be serviced twice! The second time I decided to bring it straight to Toyota of Grand Rapids. I worked with Aaron Jacques who was amazing. They figured out & fixed the issue right away & I can finally enjoy my new (to me) car! In addition to their kindness, efficiency, & solid work, they have a very nice waiting area for customers. The most comfortable waiting area I ve ever been in!

Called a week in advance to try and rent a Toyota Tundra. The man I spoke with said it was being rented out at the time and that he expected it to be back soon. He said he would call me on Friday if the vehicle wasn't back in time. Got no phone call on Friday so when I visited the dealership on Monday I expected to get my Tundra; however, the Tundra was not available and I was forced to go with a Sequoia. The Sequoia had at least half a bag of gold fish crackers underneath the back seat and smelled like someone had gotten sick in it. Not sure the dealership cleaned this vehicle before renting it back out. Dissatisfied with the service.

I had to travel on business and he made sure that everything was taken care of on the service of my vehicle as well as great communication on updates. He also kept track of my travel to make sure that their shuttle picked me up from the airport. Great service

My nephew is a salesman at preferred Chevy Buick GMC. I told him i was looking for a van. He found me the perfect van but when his manager called brad dodge so he could pick up the vehicle from there Toyota store for us, Brad Dodge said it was parked out back not available. We went there anyway and they let us drive the van and then was ready to sell it too us. When asked if they were with preferred the salesman Emmy said no and made up some reason why there was a preferred sticker on her desk. I'm not sure why this dealership wouldn't want me to buy the vehicle from family who I trust. But is that how all preferred dealerships work, against each other. Really just a bad experience.

I went in to have my head unit looked at and my tailgate lock fixed. I was given quotes for additional work to be done and compared it to a quite I got from the dealership 4 months ago and several of their numbers were much higher 4 months ago for the same work. Jim was very nice and said nothing g was an emergency to do, so I will ask for pricing elsewhere. To fix my tailgate lock was quoted at $225 and it was a year ago that I spent that much to have them do it, but it already doesn t work again. I spent 10 min, took my cylinder out and had it fixed and back in my tailgate the next day for $40. I see no reason to go back to the dealership for this kind of service and pricing.

Took vehicle in for service after engine light came on and the diagnosis was "stuck air flow valve". I asked if I'd do any further damage by driving it for another week before bringing in for repairs. Vern didn't hesitate to say "no, you're absolutely fine driving it." Three days later the car is basically inoperable . I will not be buying next vehicle from Toyota.
