My recruiter, Robert Shelley, was excellent at getting me assignments with great pay and putting my travel nurse dreams into motion. He went above and beyond what I expected and was very patient. Highly recommend.

This company has treated me so well in the little time i've been here. They really are a family! The support, the caring, the teamwork. This agency is unlike any other that i've worked for. #TeamTotalMed #whereyoureallybelong
Positive, supportive, and fun environment. Management truly cares about employees. During the beginning of this Covid19 pandemic, my direct manager took the time to check in on my well being and offer assistance if needed. I am encouraged to share my ideas, grow professionally, and also keep a healthy balance of work-personal life.
Spent over 2 weeks in the draining hiring process. The onboarding, background check, personality assessment to eventually an offer for employment. With 1 business day left Joe,. Recruiter couldn't verify my employment. Then requested my W2's. He called at 3:00pm to rescind the offer due to their compliance of employment verification..I thought it's the employers job to get that. Very unimpressed with the unprofessionalism. Multiplan's.loss as well as Total Med.
This place made me waste my time doing all the requirements to than tell me they did not need me anymore. So unprofessional! thank god I had given my current job a 3 week notice. It was embarrassing to than say I m no longer leaving. Be carful with this company/agency.
8/3/17 Submit to MN opening by Lindsey Towles. Text or e-mail every other day on status, not that I received a response. On 9/6/17 sent text on MN Assignment Lindsey called et stated it was filled LAST wk by another TotalMed ns. . . "forgot to tell me". Over a month kept stating not many nurses wait more than a week or two at most et move on. Fell for the old "dangle et bait" routine. Sent assignment et pay package to consider. Informed her by text and e-mail did max time can not work in that state. Several days later asked again if reviewed this assignment. VM politely declining. Made it very clear to Lindsey will only work 12 hour shifts Day or Nights BUT continues to send 8 hour/40hours a week assignments. Lindsey has been extremely difficult to get a hold of. When looking or have been submitted to an assignment is it to much to ask that your recruiter keep you informed or updated? Don't need a phone call or e-mail a TEXT will do. When you don't get any feedback for days . .. Its just wrong on so many levels et should not be an acceptable practice. It causes more anxiety and frustration for everyone. It is such a competative market! Negative reviews throughout many of the nurse traveling groups or even their own facebook site. WHY is local Management or Upper Management not taking a closer look?
I will absolutely never work with TotalMed again. Problems that I encountered while employed included improper state taxes taken from my pay check, an injury on the job over 6 months ago that has still not been paid, I was put on the "will work" list for the hospital strike when I had clearly said, I needed questions answered before I would say yes or no. Complete lack of communication all around. Unimpressed with HR, payroll, my recruiter etc. No one follows up on anything, no one cares if your problems are addressed. I have gone around and around with different people for WEEKS if not MONTHS for each of these issues and each time I was told "There's nothing I can do for you." They do not care about the people they recruit at all.
Alyssa Kaspar is my recruiter and she has been very helpful. She is nice and witty. She hustles for me and does her best to accommodate for me in what I want and what I am looking for. Any issues she has listened and did something to find solutions. So far with her and Total Med I have been satisfied!
So glad I am part of the TotalMed team. Great Company to work for! They make you feel like you are part of a family, rather than just a number. I am so excited to see where my career for TotalMed takes me.
My recruiter was fired and any experience I had with the people that took over were extremely crass, unpleasant and on more than one occasion hung over. Alcoholism seems to be common place with employees of this company. I have switched agencies and could not be happier that I did.
Alyssa Kaspar, was always honest and was very helpful in finding the right place for me and my RV life. I was never disappointed with an assignment I had or a place I stayed, Alyssa and Totalmed have become extended family to me, always great to work with.
I am in a travel contract with TotalMed. I was tasked with performing REQUIRED online tasks prior to my start date of 09/21/2020, which I did. TotalMed provided me with a time sheet to track these hours and submit for payment once completed. Again, which I did. I submitted a time sheet, several times, for 17 hours which went unresponded and unpaid. Finally, I heard from my recruiter, Devin Wright, and Cameron Jeglum, Director of Recruitment, they are NOT going to pay me. I have filed a complaint with the California Labor Commission to get wages legally owed me.
I'm really glad I came to work for TotalMed. The culture and communication here is what I would hope for! Right away I could tell there were a lot of great personalities and every day I get a good laugh. The level of transparency, honesty, and communication from the top down is really appreciated as well. I would recommend anyone to join the team!
I love my TotalMed Family! I've been with TM for over 6 years and only have good things to say. People are treated fairly, we have open and honest communication, and my co-workers are top notch! Awesome place to work!
Recruiter was very inappropriate! She did a 'Bait & Switch'. Basically lied and totally wasted my time. I would not do any business with this company whatsoever.
TotalMed is a fabulous place to work. I've been here just shy of 4 years and don't plan to leave anytime soon! Management cares about their staff on an individual level and gives us the tools to be as successful as we want to be.
I recently switched companies of where I was working as a recruiter. Making the move during a crisis to a competitor was nerve wracking to say the least but 'm so glad I took the chance. Management to HR to Support Staff to Recruiters are all amazing to work with and makes my job easier to find healthcare professionals jobs.
Everything about my experience with Total Med was a nightmare. Can we talk about the background check they do? At some point, I almost felt like a criminal. My heart skipped beats every time I got an email from Kerry. Then their onboarding process has about 52 steps of absolute irrelavance. The whole experience was a blood draining exercise. I finally resumed on the assignment, then I realize that the client company I was assigned to is another nightmare. Birds of a feather, you know. Even to submitting timesheet is a hassle with these people. Same assignment I was on, I spoke with other contractors from other agencies and they didn't go through half of the procedures Total Med put me through. Their client Christus Health is the absolute worst company to work for. They will pay good money but what is money without peace of mind and happiness. It was a nightmare going to work everyday. Barely 3 weeks later, they fired me for something that was easy to overlook. Total Med didn't try to get me back on the job, or any other job for that matter. They kept saying I should let it go, because they didn't want to lose their client. At the time, I was devastated and cried, I practically begged for my job back. Now I know why I didn't fit in. Looking back now, I wish I could take back my tears and the now embarrassing emails I sent begging for my job. The absolute worst company(ies) I have ever worked for and I will not recommend either of them. Only consider them if you are homeless and dying from hunger, otherwise, I promise you. Hang in there, there are much better offers out there. I am currently on an assignment I love, working with and for a company that is full of positivity and genuine smiles (unlike the fake backstabbing smiles at Christus) I work at a real happy place. I will say good riddance to negativity aka Christus and TotalMed.
