I went here with my Grandmother and my wife the other day. We had a very pleasant experience. My wife and I both had a great burger with green chili strips on it, crispy fries as well. Very nice. Fun atmosphere! Hilarious paintings in the bathrooms. This place is a must go!
I love this small town. One of the most amazing drives to get to in AZ.
Loved the chili with tortillas. Worth the trip if you want a little bit of something to do and a little bit of a trip. Population of 8, Tortilla Flat is a town. It has a general store, a souvenirs shop, restaurant, bar/saloon, restrooms... Well that is all you need for in the middle of nowhere. Would be 5 stars, but prices are a little salty.
This is one great place to visit in the superstition mountains. The views to get here are incredible the food is great the staff are friendly and we have been back and will continue to bring our family and friends here.
Great food, great staff, busy on weekends and January&February. Be sure you have a good driver, tough driving but beautiful scenery, ps don't distract your driver, I always see one vehicle off the road waiting for tow on side of cliff/hill.
Fun little trip to an old southwestern town. Touristy but the drive is beautiful.
Fun fun fun place. Staff /Management were a hoot and made it that much more enjoyable.
Food was mediocre at best. Very tourist, but a must do stop for a ride into the beautiful mountains of AZ
Love tortilla flats especially with the recent rainfall filling the reservoirs and creeks creating some beautiful waterfalls and scenery. The waterfall I found was just over the washed out road just may be a quarter mile north of the main restaurant and gift shop strip. This spring time of year the parking lot was absolutely jam packed with cars motorcycles.
Super cute place great ride the saloon was very nice decent food and good service
Food was great and the interiors of the restaurant and Mercantile were very interes6.
The place itself had a lot of character.
The restaurant was less than half full and the waitress rushed our decision to choose what to eat and was kinda rude.
The bean and cheese burrito was not good, 2 of us got one and didn't eat it. We sent them back.
When we got the bill they were 14.95 each! Hahahaha, I don't think so, I didn't have time to order and didn't realize the price. Had it been delicious it wouldn't have mattered because I believe in supporting the locals.
I guess you are definitely paying for the novelty, the manager was kind enough to remove them. My partner loved the burger and a friend enjoyed the chicken sandwich. So there's hope!
Fun place to take visitors from out of town, we drove up from Mesa and then continued on past Tortilla Flats after a small visit, up to Roosevelt Dam and around to Globe and then to back to Mesa.
The last time I had been I was a kid!! This time I'm an adult and went with a very good friend of mine and I still felt like a kid!! It's awesome that it's still there and you can still go and enjoy yourself!! Especially with all the fires that we have had in the last few years!! This place is awesome and historical!!!
Nice day trip for grilled foods cold beer and music. Ice cream shop is good too. Nice gift shop.
Website states breakfast served until 10:30 pm. Showed up at 11AM and was told lunch only. Other than that .. Great food ,great service !
The restaurant is unique with an old-town atmosphere.
Aside from really really good barbecue ribs, the dollar-bill "wallpaper" really lends pizzazz and flavor to this timeless taste of the wild west. Loved the rifle-and-stagecoach tablecloth almost as much as the cole slaw, which was pert near perfect. Nice server to boot. The saddle bar stools capped off this rootin' tootin' dining adventure.
This place was cool if u can it's a fun drive there and great food and drinks and. If u are a photographer u will not be disappointed
Very interesting place. Going back there when I head to Arizona. The pub had awesome food and a great story
One of Arizona's hidden treasures!! The road is fixed now and is a great ride out there!! Ice, cream or beer, this place is amazing!!
Food was below average. 2 of us had cold fries to start with but we did get a basket of hot one after we finally got are server to bring them. My cousin's chicken sandwich was cold, the bun to go with my chili dog was hard. We probably would have just left but we were all hungry considering we went here as a destination we didn't eat much before hand. So I'm not sure on the other reviews on this place but I would just have to say we will not be back.
10 years since my last visit. Tge Saloon is still a wonderful place to visit. I had the Reuben sandwich. The staff was great and the Covid restrictions didnt throw off the vibe.
My boyfriend and I rode our motorcycles. It is always a nice drive. A bit stressful for me on my bike. When we got there didn't have long to wait. They put us in the very back that usually isn't open during the summer. Because of the social distancing. The only complaint I have was the back area was extremely to hot. Made me nauseous I was so hot. Otherwise we enjoy the food after our ride up.
Love this little place but can get busy which means youll have to wait for service
Best roadside beer and burger I've ever had. Expectations were low but the food, service and atmosphere were all top shelf!
Cool out of the way place. Beautiful drive. Fabulous breakfast burrito...best I ever had! Good coffee too. Reasonable prices. Definitely worth a drive out.
Great service. a hole in the wall tucked way back in the canyon. Karen was our sever. She has been there for 31 years!! Nicest sweetest lady
Great place to eat if you want to take a ride out by canyon lake.
Perfectly wild and wonderful! Service is amazing and food is delicious!
Love this place! Apache Lake has always been a favorite place of mine to go
What a fun place to eat! The drive is very pretty and the Superstition Saloon is surrounded by mountains. I have visited several times and especially enjoyed the breakfast. I love treating out-of-town guests to the drive out to Tortilla Flat. State Route 88 is one of Arizona's prettiest roads.
Great place to visit, great food, friendly staff, great service. Love the place
As Arizona as it gets! Kid and pet friendly area. Try the prickly pear ice cream or homemade fudge! Fun experience for the whole family
Interesting place to see good band to listen and amazing ride
Expensive for the food you get, but beautiful drive...
Food is good. Didn't like them putting on their own gratuity! They lost a bettet tip that way.
Fun place and a beautiful drive with good food and beer.
Took my parents and brother from out of town here along with sister and her family. Total of 11 of us in our party.. got seated right away and had a lovely server and wonderful food as usual. Highly recommend you go if you get a chance.
Beautiful ride up there thru the mountain with Canyon lake on the left side.
Interesting stop while riding the Apache Trail.
Being the only spot in the mountain road means that it's almost always crowded, yet the service is good. The decor is the best part about this place, and you've likely heard about the signed dollar bills (amongst a few bills from other countries) stapled to the wall. There's hardly any room for them anymore, though.
The food is the worst part. Mind you, it's not bad but it's hardly good. Even their specials (this time I had the brisket sandwich, which they rave about) are just average dishes.
Stop by and enjoy the place, just don't expect much from the kitchen.
Place is so neat looking. Love the 1 dollar bills, cool looking saddle bar stools and the womrn's bathroom. (You need to see the stall doors to understand). Large portions and tasty!!!
Fun place to visit, great music, and fun gift shops..
This place is beautiful. The prickly pear Gelato is a fun thing to try. As for food I had a burrito and it was pretty much everything from a can and hardly any meat. Others enjoyed their food okay. So
Should be visited at least once. Food was great, live music great. Very rustic old historical and welcoming. Suggest visiting.
A cool place to go visit, the drive there is really nice with lots of twisty turns. They recently repaved the road so it is very nice as well. The lake and campground are also close by so you could spend time there as well
Best vacation place to dine/drink . people are so friendly .good food plus live music.
