Great experience!!! Loved the decor, atmosphere, menu selection, food and Andrew, our server, was excellent!! He made us feel welcome and was attentive but not "in our face". This is a destination for future outings!! Can't go wrong there.

We have been here twice, on two different trips. Wonderful, friendly service and great food. We always make a day of it, stopping at the sites along the way and saving this place for dinner. The drive is beautiful!

There's no better place to grab an amazing bowl of their "Killer Chilli" along with their yummy burgers. I truly love to sit at the counter at one if the horse-saddle seats to make my old-west restaurant experience complete. Don't forget to go next door and try the "Prickly Pear Cactus ice cream". The best ice cream ever for the whole family to enjoy.

A fun destination when visiting the Phoenix area. East on Hwy. 88 through Apache Junction. Beautiful scenery and takes you past Canyon Lake on the way. At Tortilla Flat, there is a small "town" (once upon a time stage stop) with a western theme. A saloon, mercantile, and some other fun stuff to look at. Look up the saloon restaurant for details. It's a tourist destination on its own.

This is a popular destination for motorcycle rides. The road is well paved and maintained from the Apache Junction side. Hey. 88 beyond Tortilla Flat is gravel for approx. 25 miles to Roosevelt Lake. At the time of this review, the gravel road is closed due to a washed out bridge.

Beautiful ride to get to this location. Unfortunately, they were closed when we got there . They are closed on Monday's and Tuesday's. I hope to go back next time we are in town. I hear the food is great.

Historic site nestled about 2 miles from the Dolly Steamboat tour at Canyon Lake. We finished our ride and wanted something to eat b4 heading back to the valley so we travelled here. There is a grill, a small ice cream/souvenir place and a larger mercantile store. There is also a small museum on site.

We had our lunch at the grill, cheeseburger was $11.50 and pulled pork for spouse $11. Iced tea was good and refilled on cue by servers. Burger was well cooked, beef patty was tender and flavorful, fixings were L-T-O-P, fries were hot and crispy. Good meal. Wife said pulled pork was plentiful and tasty but a better bun would have made it very nice, fries same, side of cole slaw was delish. Great meal.

Visited very small museum, read a little and learned some history of the place. Got ice cream next. Wife had a double cherry cone which she loved. I had a bowl of Prickly Pear gelato and vanilla bean ice cream which was outstanding. Super creamy and tasty frozen treats which we ate in the shade on one of the benches. Really good.

Stopped at the store next for some trinkets and we collect shot glasses, double if available, to mark our adventures which they had on shelf. Couple of t-shirts later and we were on our way.

This route is a twisty turny road frequented by motorcyclists. We had never visited previously even when we resided in the area. But this visit was a kick-off to future returns. Scenery was awesome, grill was great with eclectic wall hangings for a great atmosphere, ice cream shop D-licious, store had fun items. We had a fun couple of hours here and will make it a regular stop in the future.

Its a great place to visit.

Its a great place to visit.
The trip to it is beautiful. BE CAREFUL. Winding road.
Food is fair. Restaurant is better than the grill. Grill has a band that's a lot of fun.
Grill food is a little expensive for what it is.

Had lots of fun. Tourist stop. So if that's what your looking for, its a great day trip.

HAVE A GREAT TIME

This was one of the neatest places I've ever gone. There were 3 very old buildings 1 was a gift shop 1 was a the saloon and family dining a patio area with live music and then the country store where after our meal I was able to get ice cream all set in the middle of the desert and amazing scenery! Well worth the drive out there :)

Beautiful drive to get there!! Went to the resturant covered with $1 bills from everywhere..best bbq pulled pork ever!! And topped it off with prickly pear ice cream..great way to spend an afternoon

Good food at a reasonable price! Mostly burger and sandwich fare. If you want your meal quickly, and not wait forever in a line, go on a weekday. You'll get your meal cooked and delivered faster, too. We made the mistake of arriving on a Saturday afternoon in late March. There was a 40 minute wait in line, followed by a 30 minute wait for the food to arrive. Only 2 wait staff to serve over 90 people. Needless to say, mistakes were made. The waiter forgot 1 of our orders. The situation was remedied by free meal.

The drive to get here was very scenic and awesome, for people from NW Iowa anyway where everything is flat. The restaurant is plastered with dollar bills which is really cool. Food was average.

We ate here after our Dolly Steamboat lake cruise today. The food was excellent, the service outstanding & we had a fantastic time there! And of course, the bathroom decorative painting made photos a Kodak moment! Thanks to Danielle for joining in on the fun! You are a GREAT server!

Hot but cool enough to make it worth it. I'm all about the little things. Drinking a beer whilst sitting in a saddle was quite a delight for me.
The place is a feast for the eyes. I'm glad they hadtheir own brew and the service was to be expected, quick with no frills. So happy we came.

A reasonable bit of scenic driving brings you to this very cool "flat" nestled among big rocks and small mountains. The eclectic bar/restaurant has great food and really good service. Try the burger with green chili slices-- delicious! Checking out this destination is well worth the drive from PHX.

Its a great place to visit, the scenery on the way to Totillia Flats is unbelievably beautiful, if you love the desert, then this is the place to visit, you have the desert and in the middle of that you have a beautiful little lake called Canyon Lake, Tortilla Flats has a lot of history in itself, as does the whole Apache Junction valley with the Superstition Mountains and Lost Dutchman Mine as the backdrop.

Best little hidden gem in the state! Come up, relax, enjoy the scenery up to tortilla flats. Great place to stop and have lunch or refill your energy after the day at the lake. Not hungry, stop at the smaller gift shop for an ice cream cone, prickly pear Gelato is my favorite. Food is good at the restaurant and they even have 2 different brews that are brewed especially for them. I think it was by four peaks brewery. Definitely a fun trip for the family or when you have out of town guests visiting.

Food was alright but the waitress spilled as she poured our glasses, landing into a few of our baskets of food. Most of us ordered a drink but she also gave a hard time to those who ordered water. Less than ideal service.

At the end of one of the coolest scenic routes (Apache Trail) of Arizona lies the little town called Tortilla Flats. The restaurant of tortilla flats is one of the coolest one I have been because the whole restaurant is covered in dollar bills from people who have been there, there's so much money it adds up to around 100 million dollars(if i remember correctly). If the place itself isn't cool enough, the food happened to be really amazing too, which wasn't expected from such a small town in the middle of nowhere. The burger was cooked perfectly and the nachos are to die for. Would recommend 100%

This is one of those unique kind of places that is a must see if you are in the neighborhood. Food is ok, get the hot chili which I had and always have here but they also have more traditional food like burgers. Lots to see while waiting for food, the money glued to the walls and the old time decorations. Definitely unique!!
