Great Place for a good weather day outing for the kids. Obviously the animals etc. But also the extra stuff like the gorilla climb and the kids done. Plan well as it's a long and tiring depends on the age of the kids. Take lots of fluids and in hot days make sure you stop by the huge splash pad in the kids done. We have never finished the whole zoo in one day, just to keep in mind.

Wonderful place, great for family fun and bringing kids, nicely maintained, variety of animals, beautiful park. Not 5 stars as for family activities its missing major essentials: 1. no breastfeeding room. Such a huge territory and absolutely no ability to be with small baby. 2. No pumping rooms- washrooms do not have electrical outlets and 3. very few washrooms equipped with changing tables.

It's a nice place to visit with family and friends. You should have a whole day dedicated to this activity if there are children or senior in your group. Tip: take done food/ snacks with you. There are a few beautiful picnic spots available to rest and eat and enjoy the scenic beauty with amazing creatures of nature.
A must go place !!

Such a great experience! The volunteers were awesome and the employees very friendly, i like all the details that are there to make you be more cautious about the environment. The only problem was that the aquarium parts were quiet dirty.

As awesome a zoo as any! Missing their elephants now a days, but some amazing exhibits and fun for the family. Expect to pay a lot though, especially if you like souvenirs. And try to go on a weekday to beat the crowds!

Good place to take the kids in summer. Kids can learn a lot from the zoo. They even have a splash park for the kids. They have the panda for 5 years but now it's in Calgary zoo. All staffs I encounter in zoo provided great services with smiles. Entrance fee is not expensive but the $9/person for the train go around the zoo is bit too much. Same price for all ages.

Went for the Terra Luminia show which was very mediocore and too overpriced for the experience of random lights and flashes everywhere, drums and music, and short narratives about saving the planet and being the seeds of change (which was the best part). Parking is $14 which is a bit much in top of entry. Zoo's I don't personally condone but aside from that it's very large with tons of things to aee. Usually very clean and signs everywhere and is a great walk (1.8km) I believe.

Omg it is soooooo big haha I got tired, a lot of walking. It's very nice to go with children's, they will love there for sure. Its clean, but doesn't have enough options for food, so bring something to eat there.

I personally enjoy visiting the Toronto Zoo, as it provides a lot of educational material and many initiatives to explain conservation efforts for wildlife.
The location is very big, and so expect to do quite a bit of walking. If you are on a road to your fitness journey and need a big park to walk/run through, this is your place. You can get a membership for the year or the day pass. I got the year membership so i plan on being here quite a few times.
On a hot summer day, it may be too hot to see the animals as they would be hiding in the shade to cool down.
The food is too expensive so have your own bottles of juice or water

This place is huge. The animals seen fairly happy. This is an all day event so bring good walking shoes and plenty of sun screen. The Canadian Domain is a bit if a walk that's out of the way but it is pleasant anyways.

Fantastic displays and pavilions from every continent. Food and facilities on site, but bringing your own (especially refillable water bottles) is encouraged. Bring good walking shoes, the whole site is about 12km of walking.

Great place not too full. Only thing is a ton of their pavilions are closed due to covid which is a bit disappointing as I was not aware but still a great time was had. Bathrooms are clean and managed by a staff members around the clock. Take note at this time you need to buy tickets ahead of time and if driving also buy your parking pass ahead.

I visited a week ago on a cold and rainy day, so it wasn't crowded. Most people were there for the pandas and they are very cute. Lots of information about them and volunteers at info booths before you get to the enclosure. Signage: keep the paper map handy because some areas aren't marked very well. Education: newer exhibits have a lot of info, older exhibits have very little. As a zoo, I think education is more important than entertainment value. Yes, it's interesting to see rhinos, penguins, and giraffes, but it's important to learn about them too. Otherwise, might as well go to a natural history museum. Time: I spent the whole day here and saw almost everything (except the Canadian area). You can probably visit 1-2 areas in half a day. Facilities: many washrooms and rest spots nearby every exhibit. Food: I went on the weekend and there weren't many choices. I'm glad I packed lunch. Overall: fascinating but needs an upgrade.

Loved walking around looking at the beautiful beautiful animals. But I think summer will definitely be better to visit because it was too cold when I went (early March). The volunteers are really nice there and the place is so well kept

Oh my how the babies were out playing. The zoo offers a disabled admission rate. Good info to know. Spent the afternoon leisurely walking the grounds and being enthralled by the animals and the volunteer run education centers.

Open year around, huge venue with animals from around the world. Just had a Corporate Christmas event which they were able to accommodate on short notice. Something for all age groups and interest levels.

This is an excellent place to spend the day. You can bring your own lunch and wander the different pavilions and see a massive number of different animals, plants and ideas on how to change the world. Right now there is a series of sculptures on display built from garbage as an example of what's out there.
Worth a look a bit pricey but worth a visit.

It was awesome. We, me and kids love it. Zoo is huge, we spent there 4 hours and still didn't see everything, we were so tired to walk. It's definitely not our last visit. We will go back to see the rest. I will totally recommend this place.

Appreciated the updates due to Covid-19. Felt very safe. Hand sanitizer was plentiful and masks required in all buildings. Everyone was very respectful of personal space and with the pre-booking it was not crowded. Thank you for re-opening and providing a positive family experience.

Come early. Huge place to see all the animals conveniently divided by their origins of continents. We walked everywhere and there were plenty of restrooms and places to eat everywhere. Although food really wasn't the best. Had a great time. Well worth the $30 entrance.

I had the city pass. It was worth it 100% and this was the best stop of them all! We went in the fall and we didn't have to wait in any lines ups but we did miss some of the animals that are only around in the summer. Most of them are in atriums but I think I'd like to see it again in the summer for sure. Bring water and food with you. Pack a lunch. There are eating areas so you can eat your packed lunches

A great zoo! 90% of the animals were in their exhibit. Be prepared to walk....walk....and walk some more. Only down side was most food/drink vendors were closed minus the actually eating locations.

Had a fun day, lots of walking, but always an adventure! Lots of active animals today: lemurs, monkeys, gorillas, camels and giraffes especially. Enjoyed our time there, and the vast majority of people were respective of proper social distancing and wearing masks.

Toronto Zoo is unfortunately my least favorite zoo. I prefer other locations over this one. The staff is always grumpy, not helpful and the food is extremely over priced.
However there are a lot of exhibits, animals have a large living space, parking is huge but additional cost, they advertise the kangaroo walk but was closed the date we visited (which was the main reason we went)
The "train" is an additional cost at well. Not many shows or informational interactions and needs to update water refills on their map.

They have lot a lot of all kinds of animals toys. We took them Toronto zoo. They really enjoyed there. Because of Covid-19 there are some changes like you have to buy tickets online and parking ticket as well. Also you have to wear mask even kids have to. Not all the places, only when you enter to see the animals. The staff was very welcoming and helpful.

A wide spread zoo with various species of animals. It might take a day to tour the entire place. There is a small train that runs across the perimeter of the zoo which can help us in moving to diff places or returning back.

This is a world class Zoo. If you live in Toronto you must visit. Yearly membership is great for kids. Come often, stay for a bit and don't feel like you have to see it all at once. Great re-visit value. I have been a member for 15 years.

Good but there should be more help with the map, today we lost in Australia area for an hour and we couldn't get out to Africa... We were so frustrated. And there should be some garbage bin in the parking lot as well look what people left in the parking lot !!

This place was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! The animals that you get to see are very exotic, magestic, superb and just very cool to see and interact with. The zoo's staff is very friendly and helpful throughout and they are very efficient in their work. The Zoo is also great for the family because Adults will love to take pictures with the animals, see them and to learn about the animals. Kids will be fascinated by the plants that have been planted in the zoo and they will be very interested in the animals there. Overall, I think that the Toronto Zoo is a GREAT place to visit with the family. :D

Not the most animals in a zoo I've seen, and you have to back track certain areas, but it was nice.

We had an absolute blast today. Got our seasons pass and spent the whole afternoon on this beautiful fall day. The Halloween decorations are awesome and a great photo-OP. We also partook in the gorilla climb which was fun and not too high (though we have a little fear of heights so stuck to the 2nd level, lol). It was a gorgeous day for the Canadian pavillion and first nations knowledge trail. Just remember stick to the path to avoid the potential poison ivy.

This is a really neat zoo. It is very large but you could see the entire zoo in one day. They have almost all the animals you would want to see. It was very hot and most areas do not have ac. You should check it out

Nice as far as zoos go however, it would've been great to have at least one tram ride included with the price of admission. There were quite a few exhibits where the animals were "no shows" and that was a little disappointing. A positive point is my husband and daughter really liked the recreations of sea life made from plastic debris pulled from the ocean and I enjoyed the giraffe enclosure.

Wonderful experience with my family. We went last year it s nice if you have small kids because you have Cary only stroller. It s fun but lots of walk around zoo. They have bus and train if you re tired. But all over it s good

Amazing!! Impossible to do in one day, though We didn't get to the Tundra area, Canada area or the Asia? (I forget what the last one is called) The animals were amazing, as they always are, and living conditions were spacious. They also had a splash park so bring bathing suits for kids, younger especially! My little brother loved it while the rest of us lounged in the chairs by the side. Would love to return!!

Went for my birthday... Loved the animals. Some staff were great, some staff weren't so great. It's a good 4 hour walk if you're going at a slower pace like we did. Food was expensive, so bring your own if you would prefer not to spend. Lots of drink machines. Plenty of restrooms. I saw some water taps on the trails. Good family day out.

Fantastic place for a fun, educational time with the whole family! Amazing animals, some of the best flower and plant life displays in the world, a splash park and a carousel make this a world class zoo. I only wish they still had a monorail...

Toronto Zoo is home to many animal species from around the world, the Zoo exhibits are grouped under geographic location theme so you visit Africa and see the animals that are local on the African continent then you head to the Americas and so on, Canada s most famous animals are within the Canadian domain exhibits. The Zoo is massive so get ready to walk or you can take the Zoomobile for a tour around the Zoo or to a certain location. Toronto Zoo has something for everyone and definitely worth a visit again and again.

We purchased the annual pass when it was on sale during March. If you do, make sure you get the parking pass to make it worth it.

This is a extremely large zoo. Be prepared for lots and lots and lots and lots of walking. The animals are well kept and the grounds and animal pens are clean.

One thing I did not like is that I didn't see a nursing area for moms and babies. I saw one baby who had pooped on their outfit being changed on the change table in the bathroom but it was cold! I felt so bad for the baby.

The infrastructure is dated and aged. However, in terms of care for the animals the Toronto Zoo does a phenomenal job.

We went during the off season when lots of animals were still hibernating. If you want to go see most of the animals be sure you go during the summer.
