Was a good place to eat the pizza is good and the wings are amazing
Our family rally enjoys the moments we spend with tony and Alba s. They always take care of us. The food and service are great for both dine in and take out. Pizza. Pasta. Soup. Sausage. And the bobble head collection is fantastic!
PIZZA SUCKS. PERHAPS YOU I CAN PAY YOU TO DELIVER TO A DUMPSTER. SO SO BAD. PIZZA NO GOOD. NO NO NO I WILL NOT EAT THIS RIP OFF FAKE BREAD.
Ugh. Food was not great and was waaaay over priced. Never again.
Nice place.
Good service
Nice pizzas & pastas
We eat here often. Great food, usually great service. Today there was no bread (Sunday, Jan 27 around 4:00pm) but they didn't tell us so we finally asked and ordered garlic bread. It finally arrived after we went to the counter and asked about it. Not our usual experience at one of our favorite restaurants.
Great food. It's in a strip mall and parking is terrible
Great place for a good Italian lunch. Love the slices and wife loved the pasta.
The front of the house is doing an awesome job, kudos!
I go with my wife to this lovely spot from time to time! This is my favorite spot to dine. I go there at least once a month. The meals are excellent, the staff members are courteous and the charge is good. I like eating in this place to have a rich meal.
Al (the owner) was awesome. Made us feel welcome and gave some great recommendations. Oh, all the food was excellent. Pasta, pizza, and gluten free pizza. Only regret is that we live in Dallas and can't eat here until we come back for vacation.
Completely disappointing. "Jody" whom im guessing is the manager or supervisor, was coldly unaccommodating to a first time guest of the restaurant. Money/extra cost was not an issue for me, I just wanted an enjoyable meal. But i will not contribute revenue to a restaurant with service such as that.
--I walked next door to "Must be Thai", and was greeted with friendly and efficient service. Much happier and cleaner atmosphere.
Great food and fun family atmosphere. Owners are outgoing and kind.
Excellent quality of food and service. Exceptionally friendly staff. My first time here and I will be back many more times!
The lady over charged me. Website says 13.00 but she charged me ~$18.00. I called back and ask, she said our price increased. Oh $18.00 for Spaghetti and meatball is just ridiculous. This is my first time here as it was requested by my brother but it looks like I won t be coming back with my family to try the rest of their menu.
I ordered pizza by the slice. Not warm or hot at all.not to much cheese at all.and 485 for slice. And a beer on tab was 10.75.i can see santana row or, beverly hills chargeing those kind of prices.
Decent pastas and pizzas but too expensive for level of quality.
Great vegetarian pizza - added chicken and extra sauce for a really good non-vegetarian pizza
Decent but pretty greasy and doesn't live up to the hype
Amazing meal staff a little bit rude but overall good service
My favorite pizza place. I loved the Tony gourmet pizza is delicious but my kids prefer the ham and pineapple. Customer service is excellent.
Friday Night Pizza! Happy camper reporting here! Somethings never disappoint. It was great!Tony's Special is one of them. Supporting the frontline workers, serving the elderly and keeping their employees employed during the shelter in place make them hometown heroes to me. May you continue to thrive.
Lovely little family place, friendly staff accidentally got me wrong pizza, but realized it just before they have it to me and let me keep the other delicious one free. :-)
Awesome food, been going to Tony & Alba's Pixza for over 20 years. Started out in Mountain View location and worked my way to thisvSan Jose location.
We had dinner at Tony & Alba's last night with some of our friends. The kids loved the thin crust margarita pizza. The adults had bruschetta, Pesto ravioli, Spinach/ricotta thin crust pizza. We were not disappointed. If you are looking for authentic italian food, Tony & Alba's is the place.
Today (Valentines Day) I decided to use an emailed coupon from T&A's. The coupon reads:
"Celebrate love with an unusual gift, a heart-shaped pizza. Your choice of any Large Heart Shape Pizza for Dine-In, To-Go or Delivery, $16 (heart shaped box not included)." I call, and the owner "Al" answers. I order a combo (ANY large...) and he tells me, in an annoyed voice that says, you should know this, you moron, "No THAT would be $28 pizza, this is for one topping only." I don't argue, but say, "okay I'll have a pepperoni." He takes my delivery order and says "it'll be there in one hour." 90 minutes later I call back to ask if my order has fallen between the cracks. I am told by a snotty sounding woman that my order is "probably on the way". In 5 minutes she calls back to say that it has not gone out because they have a $20 minimum for delivery. I explain that this information was nowhere on the coupon nor was it bestowed upon me by the exhaultant "Al." And then, after I have waited 90 minutes for my pizza she has the nerve to ask me, "Do you want to add a salad for $4 or pick it up?" I tell her to keep it, although I would like to tell her more.
When I was a kid, me and my dad used to get pizzas from Tony and Alba themselves at their Escuela Dr. location in Mountain. View. Tony is gone, I don't know about Alba, but they don't run the place anymore. The result is that we now are blessed with lovely people who do not honor their coupons or "make it right" (as their guarantee reads) when THEY screw up. As much as I love the pizza, I will never eat another, nor recommend it to my friends as I have for years. As with so many businesses, the new owners have ruined a great institution. See ya, Al and "snotty voice".
Great food! Owner gives back to community with "Random Acts of Pizza" for families in need.
This is definitely one of the most attractive place in the neighborhood. Whenever I visit this place I am highly happy. They preserve their very high standard service and the topmost level of food they offer. You will be always satisfied with this restaurant. Highly recommended.
Visiting from NC for Steelers vs 49's game. Stopped Sunday night for dinner. Food and service was beyond awesome and we were treated like family. Highly recommend and hope to visit next time in town. Dinner and the way the staff treated us made up for the Steeler's loss.
Pizza, yeah, super good. i really loved this place. i'll return with my relatives. this place has many good reviews for a reason.
Very good neighborhood pizza and pasta place. Fresh ingredients, friendly service. We will continue coming here because of the good food and nice staff. Well worth a visit if you like old school Italian food.
The staff is nice and genuine. The food is very good
The staff was nice and the restaurant is clean, but I wasn't a big fan of the pizza itself.
Note that while the slices of pizza seem expensive, they are quite big portions per slice given how thick the pizza is.
Very high quality ingredients, and they make you feel like family. Their 10" gluten free pizza is excellent.
Service seemed a bit off and food wasn't as good as it normally is.
Excellent and fresh food, I liked the character the spot has, and the employees were super nice. I will surely visit here when I m around.
Gotta say these guys put their money where their mouth is,Just so generous giving out meals to families /groups that were displaced by fires in Santa Cruz co,hwy 9 corridor. Most families are in hotels shelters with no kitchens.I had a large group that they have fed twice. T&A in our hearts forever
The food was just really bad. Money sadly wasted. Bit into a garlic knot and could only taste herbs and it was terrible. Most of the food was either eh or terrible.
This is a friendly family place to eat. This was our first time and we enjoy everything. I recommended this place!
I didn t really like the pizza it was flavorless, the topping all fell of the moment I bit into it
Excited Great Job Food Clean Floors And Bathroom. Manny
You have to just love the family I feel to the experience the food is always good pizza done well if you speak with anyone that is in the restaurant they have been returning for years fast friendly service always a very nice Pizza experience!
Some items are a bit on the pricey side, but well worth the visit for the taste, quality, originality and overall great experience when you want authentic Italian food.
Love their creative flare with the usual menu items you'd expect at an Italian restaurant, but you've got to try their Calzone's, diet dishes like sausage & spinach, great pizzas, great salads and family combo deals that make the price per family unit much more reasonable.
Great family atmosphere, easy in and out, great parking, fast prompt services, overall a 5 star experience.
Great ravioli great service great family run business go there again
Worst experience ever in NOT so good Italian restaurant . Customer service was slow. Food preparation slow and not so good. Food not so good. I've had better Italian food at Mama Mias Restaurant....Girl taking my order was sick and sneezing , coughing and blowing her nose while taking my order and preparing my food. That was discusting. Another customer that wanted to place a huge order also saw this and walked out without ordering. I would never go there again. And I will tell everyone that I know, not to go to this NOT so authentic Italian restaurant... There pasta sauce had cilantro or some other herb that made it have a bitter taste. Pizza dough not so good.customer service bad. And prices too high for bad quality food. Total waste of money. DO NOT EAT HERE
Been coming here for decades. Always great food and people
Good pizza, good service. Atmosphere is like a small Italian restaurant with pictures all over the walls.
i was walking by looking for a place to have lunch. Laticia greeted me while she out front setting up tables. she had such a positive attitude i had to come in and try it. she went out of her way to explain the lunch specials and featured menu items. lunch was great! and shes fantastic. thanks again!
A very nice and friendly place to eat. Loved the pizza.
Friendly service, tasty Tony's Special and dessert from Holy Cannoli. What more could one ask for?
Friend was denied service with no proper explanation 03/10/18
Though highly rated on Yelp, I found the food to be kind of average. No frills decor but the people who worked there were nice.
Very nice location on the corner of Winchester and Stevens Creek great meni also daily specials also family meal deals with outside seating they serve Beer and Wine and many different Desserts also you can see the game while eating many seats to choose from window to back in the corner lol would recommend this place so check it out
Pizza is ok but way over priced. Pizza sauce taste different.
First time here food was amazing service was excellent will be back soon.
I had a margherita pizza , Garlic knotts here , I would say it was the best margherita pizza i ever had in my life . Their marinara sauce has the magic. Knotts were incredible too .
Fantastic food! The meat ravioli is the best I ever had!
Great place. The place is family-owned and they are very friendly. The food is delicious
Friendly caring staff, good food. Spaghetti carbonara was delicious. Also had a delicious salad, good ingredients
TONY & ALBA S HAS BEEN A FAVORITE FOR YEARS! Whether we order personally or are ordering large orders for one of our Dealerships! Their food is awesome & their service is always very helpful, kind & always on time! Many thanks! Sharon Kay
I had the Spaghetti they need to drain the noodles more but still was yummy. The boy that waited on me did not smile once even though I did you seem very cranky but everybody else was great!
Let me start by saying the employees are great 5 stars no doubt.
I also really hate giving bad reviews, it totally stresses me out cuz I do care about the employees and the business owners. I also have in my opinion an obligation to other people as well, to tell the truth about my experience at a given location. (That being said )
I ordered a X large meat pizza $30+ when I got the pizza I very disappointed by the lack fixings on it. One piece had nothing on it 1/2 way down. On most the slices I left about 3 inches of pizza bone. There was so little toppings that I ate all the XL except 3 slices and I had 4 glasses of tea.
In all fairness, my friend ordered a small pizza and it did look good. He also stated it was good but I did not order his pizza. My pizza was way under par. I can not in good conscious recommend this restaurant. 2.5 stars.
Very dissapointed given the look of the place. I thought it was going to be a rare GOOD east coast style pizza place on the west coast. Pizza had potential to be but was a little too thick and way underdone. Too much cheese and not enough sauce. All of the ingredients were actually of east coast style and good but not executed right. What a tease!
Great place the owners are realy friendly and they are always working as runners. and they are always with a big smile. . . The worker's are realy nice and they are always checking to see if everything is ok.. LOVE IT. . I TOTALLY recommend you y that if you in sanjose don't miss the opportunity and try the place....
Every since it's changed owner's the pizza has not as good as it was. But it's ok. Always alot of people, and service good.
I just read another review here from two weeks ago about the girl taking the order sneezing! Looks like she's still recovering as I had her sneeze quite badly a bunch of times while taking our order. And using the back of her hand to cover her mouth. Not fun!
Also her own demeanor was like who is this guy. She had no smile and sounded like she wasn't able to comprehend what I was saying, like I wasn't speaking English...
The last straw was as we were eating I saw her handling food!! She had a tray covered in tin foil, probably lasagna, in one hand and while carrying it out to the counter she was coughing with her other arm covering her face. I felt sick.
The pizza itself was quite good, fresh and very very tasty.
But I am never coming back here. We drove all the way from the East Bay as the reviews were great, but never again. I wanted to ask for a refund (after seeing her cough while handling food) but decides against it.
I was also going to donate the 10 dollars for their Random Acts of Pizza but decided against it. If I am not comfortable eating here, I would not wish it on anyone else to eat here either. Sad.
Pizza was excellent as always. However, for ordering a large pepperoni for $34 I got an average sized medium pizza from any other pizza spot.... delivery also didn't have cheese, peppers, or plates. So for a smaller pizza at a extra large price, why wasnt I able to avoid washings dishes, oe feed my party of 4 people without doing the dishes, or have to explain I don't have cheese or peppers. No bang for your buck here. Kinda seems like it's just really expensive "family" pizza. Pretty sad.
The pizza is fantastic! Nice thick chewy crust, large slices of mushrooms, and lots of the other toppings. They have speciality pizzas and make your own. It is not a place to go if you are in a hurry. They take their time to make a great pizza.
I prefer this restaurant very much. theres a different mood. The kitcen is very tasty. the service is efficient and the team is friendly. The cost is modest. I highly recommend.
The best Italian food with fantastic service. The vegetarian lasagna was so authentic. Try the ice cream with EVOO and Himalayan salt!
