We had the pleasure of high tailing ourselves from monterey to San Jose to see the Winchester Mystery House and I was given a flyer to this resturant!! What a blessing that was. They invited this tired mom of three and another one on the way with open arms!!!!! Everything we ordered was fantastic and my family size their is always something to complain about but no this time. The owner personally visited our table and Thanked my husband for his service and chatted with my children and gave them some yummy desert too. Thank you so much for reminding me what outstanding customer service looks like and what great food taste like. We will go out of way before our time in california comes to an end to eat here again. I have to also mention the waitstaff was amazing too. Friendly and the food came out quickly even though that had a bit of a rush going on!!

Great Ambiance, Not so great food

I love Italian food, but to each his own.
I'd heard such great things from so many people, I felt that I had to try it. From the outside, it appears to be upscale, but on the inside it's a a shabby chic, Family restaurant. By proxy, I loved Vesuvio's Pizza, it was some of the best Italian in the South Bay, but the superb quality of the food did not reflect in the decor. The look of Tony & Alba's reflects the food, in my opinion.

I had the spaghetti & meatballs, it was edible. I did not finish it, and I did not take the remainder to-go. A redeeming quality came in the optional San Pelegrino Italian soda pop, thankfully.

I may yet give this restaurant another go, but the first impression was not the best.

I'm assuming this place has good food. I haven't eaten here in a long time. Took my wife cause she wanted spaghetti, I normally am excited about pizza joints, but was just not feeling it. What really got my attention was, you have to pay extra to take food versus eating here, and then thay offer bread after they hand you your bag of food. I'm sure they have their fans, I'm just not one of them...

Pizza was excellent. They were having issues with their card reader, but managed to get it to work. Their ice is in a pitcher, which is strange. Doesn't function on the soda machine. Beer is limited.

Best Pasta Sauce in Santa Clara! Rigatoni w/ Aglio Olio - fraction of sodium & sugar as traditional sauces, a delicious healthy choice. Wonderfully served by Laticia - owners Dianna and Al onsite to insure my fast, friendly and comfortable experience.

One of the best pizza joints I've ever had the pleasure of patronizing. Love visiting every time I'm in the area, plan to keep doing so. Great pizza, great garlic knots & cheese bread. Definitely worth checking out.

I asked for Tabasco sauce to add to my plain spaghetti n meat sauce but was told in order to get some I need to join their club because hot sauce is a perk. Um, no. It's a condiment n all restaurants hand them out n dont make you join some stupid club so your email gets flooded with lame offers.
Not going back. Bad food. Bad service. Bad policy.

An extremely long wait (about 40 minutes with pasta and an additional 30 for the pizza)

I was not informed that the food would take that long. Not many staff, got a small basket of bread with five pieces to chew on for the immensly long wait. 72 dollars for 2 pastas and 1 medium pizza.

Pasta was delicious but the pizza was soggy and rushed. The toppings all fell off the face of the pizza and was a sorry mess.

Not worth it.

Diane is awesome! The whole staff went above and beyond to make our experience grand. My wife and I catered our daughter's 8th grade graduation at Tony & Alba's. We had such a great experience and the staff made it all possible. Our sincere thanks for a job well done!

Solid pizzeria with some delicious pies in a pleasant family-friendly space. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made the experience all the better. Beers by the pitcher or bottle are available as are bottles of wine. Overall, if you're looking for some affordable eats with friends or fam in San Jose, this is worth a try

If you want to get discriminated upon go here! I will never come here again. Food was ok needed salt but the staff you can have them. You pay for good food and service. They seriously need help with the service. It was my first time here and I was asking what was good and popular and the guy was too busy looking around and not able to assist me. I will never come back !

Spaghetti had runny sauce and the noodle to sauce ratio was too high. They offered us bread when you brought the food but never brought the bread out. The food cost was to high for the poor quality.

Their sauce is theeeeeeeeeeeeee best! I love all of their food. Their meatballs are delish. I host a networking meeting there, well I use to, and would get their lunch special of pizza and a salad most times. SO GOOD~! Great service and they do so much for our community. I just adore all of their employees, the owners and the food. Very good quality and so much flavor.

The owners are always there. It is very apparent it is family owned as everyone pitches in. One of the most warmest of customer service I have seen. We have moved away from the area but whenever we are around, we go here. Good Food and good people is always a great combination.

The sauce is as wonderful as ever - we came to celebrate our 20th anniversary over pizza after years of none. since one of us can no longer eat gluten. Ordered and paid for a bit of extra sauce (as an add-on ingredient purchase mind you) and received a pizza that was a quarter bare of any sauce at all - easily resolved but then we were later treated to a young bearded employee being all laughing and snotty about it with his coworker. Basta. No one deserves to be shamed for their choices.

I can't say it's the best Italian restaurant but the price for the quality of food, its unbeatable. I can't comment on the pizza as I've never tried it but the pasta dishes are excellent. The spaghetti and meatballs are great and the veal parmesan is good, a little on the salty side but good. Service is excellent and feels like a family run restaurant.

I love this restaurant! They always have good service and the pizza is excellent. If you are trying this place for the first time, their pesto pasta is the best! I hope that you will try it because no one deserves to miss out on this great Italian experience!

I consider Tony & Alba's one of my first choices for meeting a friend for lunch or supper. Not only is the food delicious and well prepared, I feel like I am a guest at a family dinner, by the way the staff takes care of me.

Very good mom and pop place, but it is a bit pricey (just a bit). The pastas and salads are very good add is the pizza. This is a good place for Italian pizza and pasta basics.

The characters that run this place are AWESOME! And make you feel like family. Make sure to call your order in ahead of time for take out because they don't serve what's laying around. They make it once you order it, and the wait is worth it! (Usually takes about 30 minutes to get your food). Priced about average, and portions are generous. The lasagna is amazing! Highly recommended!

Been looking for a great thick crust pizza, and I'm sorry to say I didn't find it here. Almost $30 for a 6in 3 toppings, I really expected better. The crust was overcooked on the bottom, under in the middle, and the topping were average.

The staff were friendly and professional. Our food was came out within the time frame promised. A nice surprise was you don't hardly ever see , They had family games available to play for free while waiting for your food, also some really cool pictures of Italy.
As well as Italian cookbooks to view.
It had a really nice atmosphere and we will definitely will go back there!
