Visited for the first time on Sunday. It is huge & looked very well organised & laid out. We only bought some plants which look very healthy. The only downside was our experience at the checkouts. The young girl couldn't be bothered even looking at us or even saying 'Hi'. She only opened her mouth to chat to her colleague next to her and to tell us how much we owed. Very rude & a shame that it marred our experience.

Spent the day here today, first can I just say this is so much more then a garden centre the name does not do it justice! My son (18months) had an amazing time. The kids area was so much bigger and better then i had seen in photos. We had burgers a toastie and ice cream all was 100%. On the way out from the kids area we visited the fish and small animals section and fed the fish not once but twice as my LO enjoyed it so much. On the way out brought some delicious cupcakes. Everything was priced well and we all had a blast without breaking the bank 10 outta 10 5* day. Thanks and we will definitely see you all soon

Went for a picnic table cover which they didn't have but its a great independent garden centre come most other things and they sell my most favourite crisps (slabs) which I've only ever seen before in the farmshop style services on the M5 (think its the Gloucester services)

Great for shopping and the big kids play area out back (Grasshoppers) is excellent! Could do with a better selcetion of house plants but cant drop the rating just for that as the whole experience is 100% 5* throughout.

They are forcing the Mountain Warehouse store to close so that they can expand their food court. They are building a large extension in which they could have offered MW a new space, which they have not. This is putting the MW team out of work in the middle of a pandemic, with the economic devastation of Brexit just around the corner.
Shame on Tong Garden Centre's owner/senior manager.
The MW staff and centre staff are lovely, but the actions of the management are shameful.

Tong, please manage your staff on the information desk. Every time I have to queue for help, there was either no members of staff to be seen, or there were more staff than customers queuing.

On the latter, there were five members of staff, one of whom was dealing with a customer, one sat staring at a cumputer screen and ignoring the customers, two staff sat looking at a lap top occasionally looking up (ignoring the customers waiting) and intermittently asking about the internet connection. The last member of staff seemed to stand in the background looking for something that wasn't convincing.

At no time did anyone approach us to say "we'll be with you shortly" etc.

Looking around the shop there seems to be a lot of memebers of staff. Management you need to train your staff to engage with your customers.
